It’s my birthday so I’m making a self indulgent post!

Here’s Scarecrow’s updated backstory!

This new version, Scarecrow’s mother and father had a one night stand and his mother gave Scarecrow up the moment he was born and basically ran for the hills never to be seen again.

His father, Jack, some of you already know him, some of you don’t, he’s based off of Arjen because why not, gets full custody of him and takes good care of him.

Happy New Year everyone! This year has been…well, full of ups and downs, but in terms of my art it’s been great! I did Inktober and completed it! My art style improved, and all in all was a lot of fun!

Day One: Twisted Mind

Content Warning I suppose, slight implied nud*ty and transph0bia

Context, in my AU, Scarecrow is trans, and Tranquilizer is, well…a sadistic, transphobic, sociopath.

Since Crow doesn’t get his top surgery until the Protag AU, I had the idea that Tranq would rip Crow’s shirt off and leave him with nothing to humiliate him…

Just…showing that Tranquilizer is just the scum of the earth basically…

Day Five: What Kind of Love

I’ve been looking forward to this one!

Long story short, in my AU, “Amanda” is…well, pardon my French, but she’s a bitch on wheels. And she doesn’t just reject Scarecrow, she laughs in his face.

I just wanted there to be more of a reason Scarecrow is so mad and devastated by Amanda’s rejection, (“I will forget her but I won’t forgive”) it’s not because she didn’t return his feelings, it’s because she was mean to him.

This isn’t me saying Amanda should have returned Scarecrow’s feelings, she had every right to turn him down. This is more of me giving Scarecrow a stronger reason to take Mephistopheles’s deal, without making him seem, well…unstable. 😆

✨Queen Astraea✨and her little Tulip 🌷

Bout time I talked about Astraea on here!

Astraea (Spanish for Star if you didn’t know) in my AU, is Elderane’s mother, and the Queen of Avantasia. She’s strong, smart, and can be pretty ruthless. But she’s also kind and compassionate, and protective of her kingdom and people. She never marries, but she ends up having a little boy, Elderane, who she loves more than life itself.

She’s six feet tall, and has a strong body under those royal robes, which she puts to use. She’s a fierce fighter, being able to fight with multiple weapons, though her weapons of choice are twin daggers and a sword.

So…if someone hurts her baby, or her friends and family…you ain’t making it out alive. ⚔️

Will try to post more about her later! For now have a drawing of her and baby Elderane, with and without their light markings. ✨

✨The Mentor✨

Everyone has been sleeping on Michael Kiske’s role in The Wicked Trilogy so I’m here to talk about him a lot!

In The Scarecrow CD booklet, when Tobi thanks Michael he describes his role as “a human-upper who introduces the scarecrow to art and makes him feel not like a scarecrow for the first time.” Which is what made me look more into his character, and realize that The Mentor is arguably one of the most important people in Scarecrow’s life.

So here’s my interpretation of The Mentor, or Micheal (I was too lazy to come up with a new name)!

First of all, for fun, I made Micheal younger here, as you can see in that lil comic I did, haha. There’s another reason for this, and you’ll find that out later, hehehe 😉 I see him being a chill guy, he’s very smart and down to Earth, but he can also be a little bastard as well 😆 and I also headcanon that he’s an art history professor, why he knows so much about art and has ‘protector instincts.’

In ‘Shelter from the Rain’ I headcanon that Micheal lets Scarecrow stay with him for a bit, after he gets Crow away from Mephistopheles (for now), and that’s when and where he teaches him about art and gives him, well, shelter from the rain! And even though he’s only in that one song, in my AU he continues to make appearances throughout the rest of the album.

I’ll talk about Micheal’s roles in The Wicked Symphony and Angel of Babylon later, this is just a quick introduction post! You’ll be seeing him a lot more especially since he plays a large role in my stories!

Day Twenty-Eight: Blowing out the Flame/Symphony of Life

This one was lots of fun!

The story telling and sequence of these two songs is incredible and paints a brilliant picture.

Blowing out the Flame breaks my heart because of how defeated and lost Scarecrow sounds.

Now, I know in canon the woman singing is some random woman who has a very similar story to Scarecrow, and while I like that idea, in my AU I changed it up a bit, instead of a random woman, it’s Scarecrow’s younger sister. She’s had a hard life as well and is nearing her own rock bottom.

Her story will be explored later in my writing! For now, I love these two songs so much, I go on for ages about them!

🌸 Lyra 🌸

Okay it’s been a hot minute since I posted on here and I have a lot of catching up to do so I’m gonna be spamming my account with my art and stories over the next few days. For starters, I’ll be introducing you to Lyra!

Though she won’t come into play in my main AU, she plays a huge role later on.

She’s Scarecrow’s daughter! She’s either blood related, like in my own AU, or she’s adopted, like in @avantasia-protag-au’s AU! Either way Scarecrow loves her more than anything, and she loves him unconditionally. She’s a Winged, a species made by @avantasia-protag-au, who have wings, small pointed ears, and fangs!

Lyra is small, gentle, and soft-spoken, but not afraid of going on adventures, though there are times she’s too timid to try or has to take time to think things through. She’s highly empathetic and understanding, she usually finds the right thing to say, but when she doesn’t, she just offers a listening ear and someone who just listens. 💖

She’s unabashedly feminine, and loves pink, flowers, pretty dresses, and other more stereotypically ‘girly’ things, but she also enjoys reading, drawing and painting, and music.

Unfortunately she does have her own issues to deal with, but I’ll be getting into those later! For now I just wanted to formally introduce all of you to Lyra. 💖🌸

These are a few drawings of her I’ve done throughout the year to show you her design’s changed, that drawing of her and Crow being the first, and the one of her with the Pride flags being the last. Her color palette and facial features stayed the same, but she later on got the pink gradient on her wings, and later on the Lyra constellation shaped freckles, like you see in the Pride flag drawing. And yes, she has glow markings that match Scarecrow’s makeup 😉

✨Universal Wayfarer, pg.1✨

Decided to turn some scenes from Universal Wayfarer into Comics! ✨

I realized that doing a full on comic for this *long*, off the rails story was a biiit too much for me, so I’m going to write out most of it like a novel, but include illustrations, and turn certain scenes into comics! Starting with the opening scenes!

And for those who don’t know, the girl you see here is Grace Goodwin, Scarecrow’s younger sister! 😊
