I was gonna save these to post when we got an official date for the final RvB season but who knows when that'll be so I'll throw them here now! I've never posted much cosplay on here but seeing as how my peak RvB days were on Tumblr it feels fitting that I post these here first :)

One of the main reasons I even got into RvB in the first place was because of @euniysu's art, and I fell in love with the Guns for Hire AU the second I saw it. These designs became instant dream cosplays of mine (honestly all of them did) and it feels fitting that ten years later just as the series is ending, I finally make them. It's also a way to celebrate 10 years since I found Rooster Teeth and fell in love with RvB (and saw these designs!). I'm so so happy I finally got to do these cosplays and I absolutely can't wait to wear them again (I'm York here but I made both cosplays and I'll be wearing Wash at the ren faire this weekend! It's time traveler's weekend and I think I'm funny lol). I don't know what it is about cosplaying York but i felt so Gender as him and am so glad everything came out well :)

Also I saw that Syn is gonna adapt the GFH AU into an original webcomic and I absolutely can't wait to see it!! I still love seeing and supporting Syn's art and y'all should def keep an eye out for it too!

No. 25 - 2018

I've always liked Yang and thought she was the coolest (though Blake's color scheme is more my style). I had been meaning to do a Yang costume for a while and as I've gotten older, with a great deal more things that occupy my time, efforts, and especially my money, it seemed my original plan was not going to happen. Then I saw Vol 4! I've always wanted to dabble in prosthetics like this so why not challenge myself a little? I've never made foam armor before, so making her mechanical arm was an interesting endeavor.

The wig is from Epic Cosplay, the shirt and shoes are from Amazon, and the pants are from WalMart. Patches were acquired off of Etsy sellers BlueRockAngelDesigns & BrookeIsABee.

For the arm, I bought extra-long "opera" gloves off Amazon and black & yellow 1/16 of an inch foam "paper." I made several regular paper patterns for my robot pieces before being happy enough to cut them out of the foam. Then I used Elmer's white school glue to seal the foam, and after 24 hrs curing, spray painted the pieces a "Canary Yellow." I waited another 24 hrs to allow for curing and then touched up and painted black additional areas.

To attach, I used hot glue on the finger bits, black poly-cotton fabric and Velcro for the bracer, and completed the band for the upper arm with the poly-cotton, but keep it in place with more Velcro.

I hope to actually make her jacket, because if I couldn't make what I had in mind before, I might as well make something! Haha...

This tells me two things:

Either RWBY is a show watchable in the RvB-verse (And by extension, the Halo-verse) or all Rooster Teeth shows exist in the same continuity...and Ruby has the worst timing when it comes to visiting places.

A Mother’s Promise

I had ordered an emblem, however it wasn’t going to arrive before RTX. As such, I made my own using left over crafting foam, gorilla glue, and non cracking armour metallic paint. The backing has yet to be added on, but I’m planning on using hair clips.

guns for hire York selfies since I watched Restoration last night and cried like a baby :'). I genuinely can't wait to cosplay York (and Wash!) again--i made so many cosplays last year but those two were honestly my faves, especially since they were dream cosplays I was finally able to make after 10 years. i adored wearing both of them (I'll prob post the Wash pics next) and am trying to slot them into my con schedule for this year somehow.

I made the mistake of re-watching RWBY recently and the V3 finale never fails to make me ball my eyes out (and I did it again when I first watched Justice League X RWBY) so here are some of my old Pyrrha pictures from when we unintentionally formed a RWBY cosgroup and made it on the newspaper!!

Reblogging my one and only outing as full armor Tex. I hung her up after this con, and only ever used the helmet for very casual costumes afterwards. Now, of course, I’m tempted to bring her back out…

A couple shots from my very first cosplay, Agent Tex from the popular webseries Red vs. Blue! I’m the short one in the black armor, haha. The tall guy in green is Gus, mah boi. (I adore the Majora’s Mask cosplayer, but didn’t catch his name ;-;)

Anyhoo, the armor is a plastic set that I bought and spray painted. The lights on the helmet worked too.

I adore the full armor, but I will probably never wear it again for a cosplay without some major alterations to make it fit better. That shit left me with bruises ALL OVER MY BODY. Ugh.

Are you almost finished with your Mad King Ryan co-- callout? What callout? Oh come on, you know RTX is super safe. What's the Dream SMP? I've never heard of it. Anyway, I wanted to take a picture at the Tower of Pimps before it got too crowded. I'm so glad to be here with you :) I hope we can work at Rooster Teeth someday when we're older.
