Before the asks get clogged, could I request Silver with a x reader who became a fae and is attempting to come to terms with this change? 7w7
{CHERRY MY BELOVED HELLO!!!! i love this idea ;sorbnh;roj thank you for gifting me with this owo i hope doing a full-prose-thing instead of headcanons was ok! it felt like this prompt leant itself better to it if that makes sense! }
Tumblr media
Silver was used to very unusual things happening at NRC, especially to the first year prefect that was his partner. They had taken on overblotted housewardens, multiple other students, and even gotten the headmaster to do a tiny bit of work for once. However, this was a new breed of 'unusual', even for them.
"Silver, please, I have no idea what happened but I-" "Calm down. Breathe. " Silver instructed them, gently rubbing their shoulders as they shook, their body curled in on itself as tears poured down their face. They nodded and tried to breathe slower, inhaling and exhaling slower each time. In, out. In, out. Slowly but surely, their sobs stopped and their limbs became less rigid, allowing Silver to get a better look at them.
They looked almost the same as before, but with pointier ears, sharper canines, and seemingly green-tinted eyes (though, as far as he could tell, they were still almost the same color as before). They had come to Diasomnia's dorm, banging on his door until he had let them in. He'd opened the door only to be met with an armful of his sobbing partner trying to explain why they were there.
"Ok. Now can you try and remember what happened? Father and Malleus might be able to help, but you need to tell me what happened." He said, still rubbing circles into their arms to keep them calm.
"I don't really know...one second, Ace, Deuce, Grim and I were messing around in the woods near Ramshackle, next thing I know I look like...this." They said, gesturing to their face. Silver frowned but nodded, trying to figure out what could have possibly happened.
"Oh my. I see why you called us."
Lilia entered the room and quickly took his place next to Silver. He gently grabbed the new fae's chin, moving their head from side to side and looking them over fully.
"Seems to be some kind of inheritance imitation magic, though I'm not sure how you'd possibly come across that in the woods." He said, frowning in thought. He promised to look into it before taking his leave, leaving Silver with the distinct impression there would be an easy fix.
There was not.
As far as Lilia, Malleus, and even some of the fae they had consulted with from home could tell, the change was permanent. Apparently it was a piece of the inheritance magic, ensuring that if someone were to try and imitate a fae they would have to make a permanent commitment. Silver grew frustrated with the dismissal everyone had towards his partner's own feelings. Everyone, even his father, seemed to think his partner was now 'better' as a fae. Clearly being a human couldn't be nearly as enjoyable...
Silver sighed and ran his fingers through said partner's hair. They had not taken the news well. Understandably so, honestly. They had unwillingly been turned into a fae and it couldn't be undone. As a bonus, everyone else seemed to be treating it as if they should be happy. They weren't.
"It'll be ok. This is a big change, and you're right to feel how you're feeling." He consoled, feeling them nod against his shoulder. Silver hummed as they shifted a bit in his lap, resting their chin on his shoulder.
"I'll be ok, I just...need to adjust. Everything feels and looks weird...my eyes work better, and I can feel magic even if I can't use it..." They explained, looking him over with their eyes. He smiled slightly, humming in understanding. He'd heard Sebek try and describe the whole magic-visualizing-thing a while ago.
"If you need help, I'm sure Sebek could help at least a bit. I don't know what you're experiencing but I'm always here to listen." He said. They smiled in response, nodding slightly. Silver smiled in return, kissing their forehead. However the next few days, weeks, months, or years went, he'd be prepared to help them feel comfortable with their mostly external changes. They would hopefully remain the same internally; the same courageous, kind, and loving person he'd first met his second year at NRC. He'd do what he could to make sure they at least kept that part of them the same.

Speaking of which.
Turkey has also been fucking around in Iraq under the pretense of “fighting terrorism”.
Because they’re more afraid of Kurds, Assyrians and Yazidis fighting back against invaders than they are of groups like Isis or the Al-Nusra front.
Talk about skewed priorities.
Feel free to reblog.
But sure they’ll say “Shure we’re just fightin’ against terrorism dontcha know.”.
Ghastly, predictable bullshit.

A woman who left Alabama to join the Islamic State in 2014 now says she regrets her actions and is hoping to return to the United States.
"If I need to sit in prison, and do my time, I will do it.… I won’t fight against it," Hoda Muthana, now 28, told The News Movement from the Roj detention camp in Syria, according to The Associated Press. "I’m hoping my government looks at me as someone young at the time and naive."
Muthana, who was born in New Jersey to Yemeni immigrants and was raised in Alabama, ran away from home at the age of 20 to join ISIS. Raised in a conservative Muslim household, she told her family she was going on a school trip but instead flew to Turkey and crossed into Syria using funds from secretly cashed tuition checks.
Once she arrived in Syria, Muthana says she was detained in a guest house reserved for unmarried women and children.
US-BORN ALABAMA WOMAN WHO JOINED ISIS IS NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, JUDGE RULES
"I’ve never seen that kind of filthiness in my life, like there was 100 women and twice as much kids, running around, too much noise, filthy beds," she recalled.
She said the only way out was to marry an ISIS fighter, and she eventually married three, giving birth to a child. Her first two husbands, including the father of her son, both died in combat. Muthana says she divorced the third.
But the former American now says she regrets everything except for the birth of her son and hopes to return to the U.S. and become an advocate against extremism, making the case that she was brainwashed by the terrorist group when she left Alabama in 2014.
The Islamic State at one time held swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria and at the height of their power became famous for brutal executions and terrorist attacks that they frequently boasted about on social media. During that time Muthana appeared to be a vocal supporter of the group in interviews with Buzzfeed News and on social media. Posts from 2015 on her Twitter account showed her encouraging more Americans to join the extremist group and carry out attacks at home, including drive-by shootings, vehicle rammings and targeting large gatherings on national holidays.
ISIS BRIDE CLAIMS SHE’D BE MODEL CITIZEN IF SHE'S ALLOWED TO RETURN TO US: ‘I DIDN’T HATE AMERICA’
She now claims that her phone was stolen from her and the posts were made by supporters of ISIS, but she would now use her experiences to speak out against extremism.
Muthana had her citizenship revoked in 2016 by the Obama administration, which argued her birthright citizenship could be canceled because her father was an accredited Yemeni diplomat at the time of her birth. That decision was maintained throughout the Trump administration, which continued to ban her from returning to the United States.
Attorneys representing Muthana have claimed the move was in error, arguing that her diplomatic accreditation ended before she was born. But U.S. courts have upheld the position of the government, while the Supreme Court declined her appeal to hear the case last year.
She now remains in a detention camp in northern Syria that houses thousands of widows of Islamic State fighters and their children. She continues to claim that she was a victim who will now advocate against extremism.
"Even here, right now, I can’t fully say everything I want to say. But once I do leave, I will. I will be an advocate against this," she said. "I wish I can help the victims of ISIS in the West understand that someone like me is not part of it, that I as well am a victim of ISIS."
Hassan Shibly, an attorney for Muthana’s family, argues it is "absolutely clear that she was brainwashed and taken advantage of." He added that the family believes she should be allowed back to repay her debt to society and help others from "falling into the dark path that she was led down."
"She was absolutely misguided, and no one is denying that. But again, she was a teenager who was the victim of a very sophisticated recruitment operation that focuses on taking advantage of the young, the vulnerable, the disenfranchised," he said.

Now for the hard question: in your top 10 movie franchises list add in ALL of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies in order of favorites.
Oh you have to ask the hard questions! Ok, let me see...in order for Star Wars:
Empire Strikes Back -- it is just such a good movie with some iconic Luke looks and Daddy-Son moments. It's so good and him with grandpa-Yoda is so cute. I also love how we see this lead up into Luke's change of perspective with everything.
Return of the Jedi -- Also great Luke and Daddy-Son moments. I think it barely inches over New Hope simply because I got to see it again on the 40th re-release in theaters and I was feral over how Luke looked. Also, loved the fighting scenes and we get Lando. I also happen to love the Ewoks.
New Hope -- May actually be in second place once RoJ-theater release gives me peace (need another few months). But this Luke is just so pure and whiny and I want to put him in my pocket forever and ever and ever. (let me throw this Luke at Din omg)
Revenge of the Sith -- UGH just UGH so god. Anakin is so hot in this and so messed up and this lead up is just fantastic and wonderful and absolutely tragic.
Rogue One -- I mean, how could I not adore this? It is absolutely AMAZING. Just heartbreaking with amazing graphics, awesome characters, and is only getting better thanks to the Andor series.
The Force Awakens -- Honestly, I adored this movie so much. It wasn't perfect, it needed more Luke and the original trio, but it had so much potential. I just thought it was leading up to something amazing and the memes Mark gave us after left me excited and laughing for a long time.
The Phantom Menace -- Part of this is spite-love for young Anakin and Jar Jar Binks; both deserve better. But honestly, I have rewatched this a few times recently and was all "this is actually great? why the hate?"
Attack of the Clones -- Honestly, I need to rewatch this again. It's just here cause I haven't rewatched it in a while and i don't know why. We get Jango! We get the Clones! Baby Boba! The SAND-QUOTE! Obi-Wan's mullet! The lead up to the Clone War series! Badass Yoda! Yeah, gotta do a re-watch.
Solo -- Again, i actually really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. Honestly, there were just some weird choices for some story movements and character interactions but other than that? It was good. I need to rewatch it honestly.
The Last Jedi -- I hate, hate, hate what they did to my Luke. If they were going to go this route with him I'd understand 100% because it would make sense for him to to have so much PTSD and just be burnt out and so hurt (still, i think we have enough of this and deserve older heroes that are still full of hope and silly and are kind). But the execution and how he is made to be a loser is just wrong. There were also some other scenes and interactions that were "uh...no?" but the fight scenes were great, Po was great, I loved Rose, I loved Finn's story and realization. It was just really wonky, disjointed from what we were getting before, and I will keep my head-cannon Luke in my claws.
The Rise of Skywalker -- I...didn't like it. I saw it twice and actually checked the time till I could go home often (only have done that with like two other movies). It was so awkward, the dialogue was poor, the actors seemed done, there was so many random new stories thrown in at last second, characters were thrown away, "Palpatine somehow returned?" like...what??? It was just lame. Such a lame, lame ending. The OT-trio and the new trio deserved so much better. It needs a re-do.
Now for the Lord of the Rings!:
The Fellowship of the Ring -- Even though it wasn't the most action packed, what it sparked, how good it was...just AUGH perfection. I adore this movie so much.
The Two Towers -- Incredible, amazing, also perfect. Great action, all the characters are given their due-time (with Legolas making faces). I love it.
Return of the King -- AMAZING ENDING. The wraps up is just...the moments of suffering and the release. The HAPPINESS. How ever gets what they deserve (tho RIP Boromir) just adore it so much.
The Desolation of Smaug -- PERFECT. Except for maybe some off CGI, this movie was amazing. So much Bagginshield, the intense cliffhanger, the Arkenstone....it was so good. I adored this movie so much!
An Unexpected Journey -- I adore Bilbo. I love him so much. And how this opened up Bagginshield just how could I not adore it??
Battle of the Five Armies -- I didn't like it the first time I watched it. But a few more times I was "huh, actually, it's not bad!" It honestly should've been loads better. There were so many wonky decisions and everything that happened did not feel like it met up with the end of a trilogy. But the end....how everyone survived! Can you believe that there was absolutely NO HEARTBREAK WHAT'SO'EVER??
