Samantha Higashikata / René von Rohr
JJBA Part 4 OC - Yves von Rohr's daughter
Samantha ( サマンサ, Samansa ) is a primary ally featured in the fourth part of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, Diamond is Unbreakable. She is Josuke Higashikata’s adopted sister. Samantha was adopted at the age of 6 by the Higashikata family. Her memories before the age of 6 were all removed with an unknown stand. Samantha is a Stand user who wields Bloody Kisses, a Stand that manipulates the user's and another person's blood to control their blood vessels and arteries. Bloody Kisses' secondary ability, Less Than Zero, can cause blood vessels to constrict, often resulting in heart attacks.
Samantha is a teenage girl of average build, standing at 169 cm (5 ft 6 in) tall. Her most notable feature is her distinctive hairstyle, characterized by hair horns and two twin drills on the sides. She meticulously styles her hair using Mandom hair gel. To complete her look, she wears a black bow that ties her hair up into a half-up, half-down style, adorned with two ribbons shaped like bat wings.
Sam wears a black, laced long-sleeved shirt with a wide collar, accompanied by flared jeans accessorised with a peace sign (☮) pin on her right leg, and a heart pin on her left - notably inspired by Josuke’s modified uniform. She wears gold hoop earrings, and a gold necklace in the shape of a heart. She also wears a vintage Inventic watch.
Samantha’s true identity is shrouded in mystery. She has no recollection of her name or her life before the age of six, a blank slate that shapes much of her current outlook and behaviors. Raised by the Higashikata family, she inherited a certain toughness and independence, which can come across as hotheadedness to those who first encounter her. Her straightforward and sometimes rough language may give the impression of a delinquent attitude, as she doesn't always conform to the expected deference towards adults and authority figures typical of her age.
Adopted into the Higashikata family at the age of 6, Samantha’s early memories were erased by an enigmatic Stand. Despite this, she emerged as a formidable Stand user, wielding Bloody Kisses—a Stand capable of manipulating blood to control the target's blood vessels and arteries. (Meaning their body.) Bloody Kisses' secondary ability, Less Than Zero, induces constriction of blood vessels, often leading to fatal heart attacks.
BLOODY KISSES
Samantha’s Stand, Bloody Kisses, is a humanoid, range irrelevant Stand with the ability to take control of blood streams, vessels, and arteries. She can control another organisms body (depending on how many vessels and/or arteries, making it easier for her to control.) For her stand to work, both parties have to be bleeding. The more fresh blood going out of the body, the stronger the stands ability is.
LESS THAN ZERO
Less Than Zero is an additional ability to Bloody Kisses inherited from her bloodline. It allows the stand to fully take control and stop the internal blood itself from circulating inside the body.
However, the Stand’s abilities do not work without both parties having external wounds. The Stand also is not capable of healing or regenerating the user.
MASTERY
Samantha’s proficiency with Bloody Kisses, while impressive, is somewhat rusty due to a lack of consistent practice and recent reawakening. She strategically ensures that both she and her opponent have open wounds to maximize her Stand's capabilities. This requires her to engage in close-ranged combat, which is not one of her strong points. However, once the conditions are met, she can exert significant control over her opponent, turning the tide of the fight in her favor. STAND APPEARANCE
Bloody Kisses is a skeletal, humanoid, reaper-like stand standing at about 8 feet while floating. It usually does not manifest in a visual way.
It’s skeletal structure is only seen from it’s skull to the ribcage, the rest of it’s body being covered by the dark blue robe. It’s body is composed of eerie light blue bones, which have rose thorns wrapped around them. It’s skull features two heartrate pulse rates on its cheeks, and one neon green one as its iris on a black sclera. Bloody Kisses’ robe is accessorised with two dying roses. When summoned, it usually immediately strikes for the open wounds instead of manifesting side by side with it’s user.

Chimpanzees have police, too. Now, researchers are discovering what makes these simian enforcers of the peace step into conflicts, findings that could help shed light on the roots of policing in humans.
Animals handle conflicts within groups in a variety of ways, such as policing, where impartial bystanders intercede when disputes crop up. Policing, which has been seen in chimps, gorillas, orangutans and other primates, differs from other forms of intervention in that such arbiters are neither biased nor aggressive — they are neither supporting allies nor punishing wrongdoers.
Policing is risky, however, since it involves approaching two or more combative squabblers, which may lead to would-be arbiters becoming the targets of aggression themselves. To find out why primate policing evolved despite such risk, scientists took a closer look at pol.
The researchers analyzed one group of chimpanzees in a zoo in Gossau, Switzerland, for nearly 600 hours over two years. This group experienced a great deal of social tumult — zookeepers there introduced three new adult female chimps, upsetting the former order, and a power struggle also led to a new alpha male. The investigators also looked at records of chimp policing behavior at three other zoos.
The scientists monitored ape social interactions, such as aggressive conflicts, friendly grooming and policing behavior. Policing could involve threatening both quarrelers in a conflict, or running between the antagonists to break up the squabble.
The researchers explored a couple of potential explanations for policing. For instance, policing might help high-ranking members of a group control rivals to keep themselves dominant, or to help keep potential mates from leaving the group. However, both explanations would require high-ranking males to be the arbiters — female chimps usually do not fight over rank, and female chimps are the most likely members to leave groups, not males. In contrast, the researchers found that police chimps were of both sexes. [8 Ways Chimps Act Like Us]
The researchers suggest policing helps improve the stability of groups, thus providing the arbiters with a healthy community to live in. Supporting this notion is the fact that arbiters were more willing to intervene impartially if several quarrelers were involved in a dispute, probably because such conflicts are more likely to jeopardize group peace.
"The interest in community concern that is highly developed in us humans and forms the basis for our moral behavior is deeply rooted — it can also be observed in our closest relatives," said researcher Claudia Rudolf von Rohr at the University of Zurich.
The scientists detailed their findings online today (March 7) in the journal PLoS ONE.
--
Abstract
Because conflicts among social group members are inevitable, their management is crucial for group stability. The rarest and most interesting form of conflict management is policing, i.e., impartial interventions by bystanders, which is of considerable interest due to its potentially moral nature. Here, we provide descriptive and quantitative data on policing in captive chimpanzees. First, we report on a high rate of policing in one captive group characterized by recently introduced females and a rank reversal between two males. We explored the influence of various factors on the occurrence of policing. The results show that only the alpha and beta males acted as arbitrators using manifold tactics to control conflicts, and that their interventions strongly depended on conflict complexity. Secondly, we compared the policing patterns in three other captive chimpanzee groups. We found that although rare, policing was more prevalent at times of increased social instability, both high-ranking males and females performed policing, and conflicts of all sex-dyad combinations were policed. These results suggest that the primary function of policing is to increase group stability. It may thus reflect prosocial behaviour based upon “community concern.” However, policing remains a rare behaviour and more data are needed to test the generality of this hypothesis.

There is another way!
At Brown, a Rare Agreement Between Administrators and Protesters!
Protest is legitimate and what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza is to be condemned. But in a way that is worthy of people with an intellectual background at eye level with arguments. Not with rioting like in some universities, which is rather shameful for all involved!
Instead of seeking democratic dialogue and putting forward arguments that cannot be overlooked or denied in order to substantiate reasonable demands.
Senseless rioting and escalation by students, police and those responsible at the respective universities.
Sad, we say, and you wonder why the United States of America is so irreconcilably divided!
If the intellectuals or the future intellectuals can't deal with each other normally when it comes to different points of view! Or maybe they are even the same points of view, but why pick up the other when you want escalation?
Rioting for the sake of rioting, as an end in itself in the culture of agitation.
Escalation must be sought and wanted on both sides and so it is with de-escalation!

Student protesters, administrators at Brown University reach deal to clear encampment.
Fight Trump instead of wasting your energy on riot that are not really democratic. A tip from us because what is important about democracy is equality and exchange of agencies to achieve the best possible results for all.

BREATHING UNDER WATER: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps
Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
~ Step Twelve of the Twelve Steps
It is a karmic law of in and out, and what Jesus really meant when he sent the disciples “to cast out devils, and to cure all kinds of diseases and sickness” (Matthew 10:1) or to “go out to the world and proclaim the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:16). He knew you had to hand the message over before you really understood it or could appreciate it yourself.
A person will suffocate if she just keeps breathing in. The Jewish name for the Holy One, literally unspeakable, is “Yahweh,” an imitation of the sound of breathing in and breathing out. It could not be uttered, only breathed. The sacred name of God reveals the deepest pattern of all reality—the cycle of taking in and giving back out. It is the shape of all creation and of God, a Trinitarian circle of indwelling and outpouring.

Spirituality is about seeing. It’s not about earning or achieving. It’s about relationship rather than results or requirements. Once we see, the rest follows. We don’t need to push the river, because we’re in it. The life is lived within us, and we learn how to say yes to that life. -Richard Rohr, Everything Belongs

Apparently, light is less something you see directly, and more something by which you see all other things. In other words, we have faith in Christ so we can have the faith of Christ. That is the goal. Christ and Jesus seem quite happy to serve as conduits, rather than provable conclusions. (If the latter was the case, the Incarnation would have happened after the invention of the camera and the video recorder!) We need to look at Jesus until we can look out at the world with his kind of eyes. The world no longer trusts Christians who “love Jesus” but do not seem to love anything else. In Jesus Christ, God’s own broad, deep, and all-inclusive worldview is made available to us. That might just be the whole point of the Gospels. You have to trust the messenger before you can trust the message, and that seems to be the Jesus Christ strategy. Too often, we have substituted the messenger for the message. As a result, we spent a great deal of time worshiping the messenger and trying to get other people to do the same. Too often this obsession became a pious substitute for actually following what he taught—and he did ask us several times to follow him, and never once to worship him.

Do Affordable SEO Services in Bradenton, FL Actually Work? Here’s What You Need to Know
Many small business owners today find themselves lost when it comes to improving their online presence. A well-built website is great, but without traffic and leads, it can feel like a wasted investment. If you’re in Bradenton, FL, affordable SEO services can play a game-changer role in helping your business grow online. But are they effective? Let’s break down what you need to know about affordable SEO services in Bradenton, FL, and how they can work for you.
Why SEO is Essential for Bradenton Businesses
As a local business owner, you may be wondering if SEO is really necessary or if it’s just another marketing expense. The truth is, for local businesses in Bradenton, SEO is one of the most effective ways to reach customers who are actively searching for your services. Here’s why SEO is worth the investment:
Enhanced Online Visibility — Ranking higher on Google increases your chances of being discovered by new customers. Affordable SEO services in Bradenton, FL, focus on getting you noticed where your customers are searching.
Improved User Experience — SEO involves more than just keywords. It includes improving your site’s loading speed, navigation, and usability—all of which make it easier for visitors to find what they need and become loyal customers.
Increased Trust and Credibility — Customers tend to trust businesses that appear on the first page of search results. By consistently ranking higher, SEO helps establish your brand as credible and trustworthy.
Cost-Effective Growth — Unlike paid ads, which only work while you’re spending, SEO builds a lasting online presence that continues to bring in leads over time, offering long-term value.
What to Expect from Affordable SEO Services
It’s natural to have high expectations, but it’s also important to be realistic. SEO doesn’t yield instant results—this is a long-term investment. Here’s what you can expect when you invest in SEO services:
Gradual Increase in Rankings — SEO is a process that builds over time. You may notice some changes within a few months, but it generally takes 6-12 months for significant growth in search rankings.
Local Optimization — High-quality SEO services focus on local optimization strategies, like updating your Google My Business profile, using local keywords, and managing online reviews. These efforts increase your business’s visibility in local searches.
Success Metrics to Track — A reliable SEO provider, like Rohring Results, will help you monitor key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword ranking, conversion rates, and bounce rates. These metrics give you a clear picture of your ROI.
How Affordable SEO Services Work for Small Businesses
Affordable SEO services aren’t just about cutting costs; they’re about focusing on effective strategies that provide real results without needing a huge budget. Here’s how these services benefit small businesses:
Building a Strong Online Presence
Your online presence is like a virtual storefront. High-quality SEO focuses on optimizing your website’s structure, content, and user experience to ensure you’re making the best possible first impression. Part of this involves local SEO, such as ensuring your business information is correct on directories and maps so nearby customers can find you.
Attracting More Organic Traffic
Well-developed SEO strategies can drive more visitors to your site by focusing on valuable keywords that people actually use. Creating helpful, engaging content that answers common customer questions can also help your site attract and retain visitors.
Generating Leads and Sales
SEO goes beyond just traffic; it’s about bringing in quality leads. Local optimization ensures that your traffic is highly targeted, meaning you’re more likely to attract customers who are ready to buy. Whether they’re looking for specific products or local services, SEO helps connect them with your business.
Choosing the Right Affordable SEO Provider
Finding the right provider can be the difference between wasted spending and long-term success. Here are key factors to consider when choosing a provider for affordable SEO services in Bradenton, FL:
Experience with Local SEO — Choose a provider like Rohring Results that has experience optimizing for local businesses. Look for proven success with other small businesses.
Transparent Pricing and Open Communication — Affordable SEO doesn’t mean hidden fees. A good provider will clearly explain their services and costs.
Proven Results and Case Studies — Choose a provider with a history of successful campaigns. Past results can indicate what to expect.
Long-Term Focus — Effective SEO is about sustained growth, not quick fixes. Make sure your provider understands this and is committed to building a strong foundation for your business.
Beware of "Cheap" SEO: Why Quality Matters
While affordable SEO can be highly effective, beware of “cheap” services that promise fast results. Some low-cost providers use black-hat techniques that can harm your website’s reputation and rankings. Here’s why it’s essential to invest in quality:
Google Penalties — Black-hat SEO tactics like keyword stuffing or link spamming can lead to penalties, which could remove your website from search results entirely.
Short-Lived Results — Quick-fix tactics often result in short-term boosts, but they can harm your long-term success. Quality SEO focuses on sustainable growth.
Damage to Brand Reputation — Cheap SEO services that cut corners can damage your brand’s credibility and hurt customer trust.
Ready to Boost Your Online Visibility?
Affordable SEO services in Bradenton, FL, can drive real growth and help your business connect with customers in meaningful ways. With the right SEO partner, like Rohring Results, you’ll have the support needed to reach higher rankings, drive more organic traffic, and build a lasting online presence. The Spotlight Effect
Have you ever been in a work situation where your supervisor, a colleague, or a client asked to meet with you but didn't say what the meeting was about?
If you have, you know how disconcerting that can be.
Perhaps you're the kind of person who doesn't get spun out by such things, and if so, I salute you. I am not one of those people, and I've been thinking a lot lately about what that says about me.
Over the past few years, I've decided that the best way to deal with the anxiety I feel in the aforementioned circumstances is to simply ask people to share why they want to meet.
This way, I can begin thinking about how the meeting will go, what I might offer, how to prepare for possible questions, etc.
It also keeps me from spinning about the meeting and what it might be about because I often expect the worst-case scenarios, even when it isn't warranted.
I can't tell you how many times I've lost sleep over situations like this, only to discover that the person wanted to meet with me to ask for advice, tell me about something going on in their life, or quite simply share something good.
So where does this come from? What makes those of us who struggle with this kind of anxiety get worked up about things like this?
I think it has something to do with a term in social psychology called "the spotlight effect."
The "spotlight effect" refers to our tendency to overestimate how much others think about or notice us. When dealing with the spotlight effect, we often project our fears and worries onto others.
And we can also project our own hubris as well.
The reality is that everyone is so concerned about their own problems/life that they rarely, if ever, spend much time thinking about ours.
But we think they are and often let our imagination run wild as a result.
As Fr. Richard Rohr once wrote, we tend to see the world "as we are," which can be problematic if we struggle with insecurities or feelings of guilt over the way we see ourselves.
One of the many things that Jesus taught was that we should look out into the world with "singleness" or, more accurately translated from the Greek, with "openness."
His teaching was that when our vision for the world is clear, we let in light, and the light within us enables us to have a clearer picture of what God is doing around us.
When we live this way, we stop worrying so much about what others might or might not say, and we can approach every encounter with another person with a sense of hopefulness and joy.
And even in those situations where we get blindsided by someone who might say unfair, critical, or hurtful things to us, we can more easily find peace and compassion as we realize that hurting people hurts people.
Or we might discover that there are lessons that we need to learn in our painful encounters that could help make us better versions of ourselves.
May it be so for us all. And may the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all, now and forever. Amen.

Plot
Wendall Rohr and his team of tort lawyers have filed suit on behalf of plaintiff Celeste Wood, whose husband died of lung cancer, against the tobacco company Pynex. The trial is to be held in Biloxi, Mississippi, a state thought to have favorable tort laws and sympathetic juries. Before the jury in the Pynex trial has been sworn in, a stealth juror, Nicholas Easter, has begun to quietly connive behind the scenes, in concert with a mysterious woman known only as Marlee.
Rankin Fitch, a shady “consultant” who has directed eight successful trials for the tobacco industry, has placed a camera in the courtroom in order to observe the proceedings in his office nearby, plotting many schemes to reach to the jury. He plans to get to Millie Dupree through blackmailing her husband through a tape that has him trying to bribe an official. He gets to Lonnie Shaver by convincing a company to buy his employer and convince him through orientation. He also tries to reach Rikki Coleman through blackmail of revealing her abortion to her husband. As the case continues, Fitch is approached by Marlee with a proposal to “buy” the verdict.
Meanwhile, Easter works from the inside to gain control of the jury – being warm-hearted, sympathetic and helpful to jurors who might be won over, and rather ruthless to those who prove impervious to his efforts. Eventually, he becomes jury foreman after the previous one falls ill (resulting from Nicholas spiking his coffee). He also manages to hoodwink and repeatedly manipulate the judge. Meanwhile, Marlee – Easter’s partner/lover – acts as his agent on the outside, convincing Fitch that Easter controls the jury and can deliver any verdict on demand through a series of highly secretive meetings, in which Marlee repeatedly threatens to disappear if Fitch’s team attempts to track her.
Marlee gives Fitch the impression that the pair’s objective is purely mercenary – to sell the verdict to highest bidder. Still, he makes a great effort to discover her true name and antecedents to satisfy his mounting curiosity. This turns out to be extremely difficult, and the detectives employed by Fitch express their grudging respect for her skill in hiding her tracks. As the trial reaches its climax, Fitch – still in the dark about Marlee’s past – agrees to her proposal to pay $10 million for a favorable verdict. Only after the money is irrevocably transferred to an offshore account do the detectives discover the truth: Marlee is in fact an anti-smoking activist whose parents both died from smoking. Thus, Fitch realizes that he lost Pynex’s $10 million in addition to having lost the trial.
Inside the closed jury room, Easter convinces the jury to find for the plaintiff and make a large monetary award – $2 million in compensatory damages, and $400 million in punitive damages. While not able to sway the entire jury, Easter gets nine out of twelve jurors to back him – sufficient for a valid verdict in a civil case. Pynex and its defense lawyers are devastated. In the Cayman Islands, Marlee short-sells the tobacco companies’ stocks and makes an enormous gain on the original $10 million. Easter quickly disappears from Biloxi and leaves the US. While Easter and Marlee are now wealthy and satisfied that they served justice, the tobacco industry, once undefeatable, are now vulnerable to an avalanche of additional lawsuits.
The book closes with Marlee returning the initial $10 million bribe to Fitch, having almost doubled the money on the derivatives market, and warning Fitch that she and Easter will always be watching. She explains that she had no intention to steal or lie, and that she cheated only because, “That was all your client understood.”

HISTORY MEME | seven relationships: the second triumvirate
Invested with new powers [as consul], the young Caesar canceled the dispositions that had declared Antony and Lepidus public enemies and continued on the path of unity of the Caesarian party. The strategy he had set up immediately after the events in Modena gave excellent results. Already in the spring of 43, he had made use of Antonian soldiers dispersed in the battle of Modena and of officers of his adversary such as Publius Ventidius to send to Antony veiled proposals for reconciliation. The dictator's heir had then written to both Asinius Pollio and Lepidus and the governor of Gallia Narbonensis had played an effective role of mediation with Antony. Between June and July Antony and Lepidus undertook to guarantee the young Caesar their willingness to make an agreement. In the autumn of 43 the pact was formalized. In September Octavian left Rome to meet his future colleagues on a peninsula at the confluence of the Reno and Lavinio rivers, between Modena and Bologna. The discussion, which lasted for two days, led to important decisions. It was decided that a new five-year institution would be established, which would appoint magistrates and reorganize the State devastated by long civil wars: the three would become triumviri rei publicae constituendae. The provinces were subject to a redistribution: Antony received Cisalpine and Comata Gaul, with sixteen legions; Lepidus Narbonensis Gaul and Hispania, with ten legions; the young Caesar Africa, Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica, with seventeen legions; Italy would remain common territory. [...] Octavian and Antony with part of Lepidus' army would then wage war in the East against the Caesaricides. — Cristofoli, Galimberti, Rohr Vio, Dalla repubblica al principato: politica e potere in Roma antica

I'm confused about the chicken and egg aspect of the Enneagram - do life events push you towards being a type, or does your reaction to an event simply *show* your type? What about instances where someone changes in response to a dramatic event that really made an impression on them? For example, could a 1 work steadily to improve themselves and thereby "look" like a different type because they idealised the positive traits of that type and felt this would help them be "good"?
Thank you :)
From my Te standpoint, it really doesn't matter which comes first (are you born or created your type?) but in my opinion, you react to things as your type, rather than circumstances changing you into that type. You just pick the interpretation that aligns with your mental process and that tells how to survive / thrive / stay safe / etc. All types are seeking safety in some form -- self-preservation not in a subtype way, but in a "I have to do this to be okay" way. It's just what triggers inside their mind when confronted by life.
I suspect changing as a result of something having a dramatic impact might mean maturing within your own type, or reaching another health level within it. EG, you are an unhealthy 2 who sees a truly healthy 2, is inspired, and becomes more like that. Or a 6 who admires someone else's self-confidence and molds themselves after that person more in their personal life. I think a 1 is always going to look like a 1 -- but as Richard Rohr would say, an "un-redeemed 1 and a redeemed 1 are very different." One is obviously critical, nitpicking, and finds fault unnecessarily in everything, but a redeemed 1 inspires others by how dedicated they are to doing what is Right.
I don't think a 1 would internalize traits from another type and see them as good, because their own inner sense of goodness / criticism already informs them of what that "looks like" in themselves (to strive for perfection, which is to think unproductively, because perfection does and cannot exist, which makes it an irrational goal). David Gray says something like 1s think they know more than God about what is good / bad or appropriate, they make themselves the governing authority of those things. Which means that the people who are focused on being 'perfect' according to any standard but their own are probably 6s rather than 1s -- eg, the perfect Muslim / Christian / Buddhist, following all these rules established by somebody else, rather than me and my own inner committee of critics!

this might be a strange question but do you think that there is a sexual identity in loving God / being in love with Jesus? for a long time I have thought about how I want to incorporate Jesus into every part of my life and every area while at the same time it just comes natural to me to have my eyes trained on him, I've even thought about becoming a nun.. I just feel wholly in love with Jesus but I genuinely struggle with this aspect.. maybe you can't help but if you have any advice or just thoughts that would be greatly appreciated!!
Hi, I'm absolutely obsessed with this question. You're amazing. The answer is yes, so many people throughout the centuries have felt similar ways!
Devoting yourself to God/Jesus rather than having romantic/sexual relationships with other people is not new, and in some ways you could totally call it an identity! In the Bible, we can look at Jesus himself, who (as far as we know) never married, but devoted his life to his ministry. I don't know off the top of my head how many apostles were married (I know Peter had a mother-in-law), but I'm sure some of them gave up that kind of life to follow him. Many priests/pastors, monks, and nuns are unmarried, for various reasons across denominations, but especially when we're talking about monks/nuns—nuns are often referred to as being "married to Jesus!"
Mysticism is the area of Christianity that I would say most incorporated this idea, especially sexuality-wise, and I don't know a ton about it but have included a lot of resources (either read by me or recommended by others).
Becoming a nun is a wonderful, holy calling, and it may be the thing that brings you the most peace! I'd encourage you to do more research and maybe visit an abbey/convent!
Besides that, incorporating Jesus in all areas of your life is absolutely amazing and will probably be overwhelming and beautiful and frustrating and so, so worth it.
I don't have much advice besides to go for it? Like as far as I can tell, you're experiencing a good thing that you feel really connected to! Obviously any serious religious devotion in ~today's world~ takes extra courage and explanation, because this isn't the norm (at least where I live), but, with God's help, I know that you can create a beautiful life for yourself.
I do wanna say that devoting your life to Jesus does not necessarily mean being celibate. Choosing that can be really challenging, especially without a formal path (like being a nun), and while it's a historic, holy way of life, it isn't something to take lightly and can result in a lot of loneliness. Don't deny yourself romantic/sexual intimacy with other people unless that's for sure the path you're on. That said, platonic intimacy is holy and not lesser-than romance, and being single is obviously a normal way of existence.
