mr incredible as a character is so interesting because unlike other main “good guys” his main drive is that he loves being a super hero. he’s fired from multiple jobs, uprooting his family every time, because of he can’t not be that guy. he listens to police scanners and coaches people through abusing the insurance company because he’s so desperate to get even a slice of that feeling. of course he likes helping people, sure, but he’s so desperate to be heroic he lets himself get reduced down to being muscle for hire to a crazy shady company just so that he can be mr incredible again. Like, how did we get here? what is his origin story? what made him like this? who taught him that his worth is synonymous with his heroism? with what his body can do? how did we get here.

i think its bobs parents fault for his, johnny, and dally's deaths. not darry's, or pony's, or even bob

his parents never told him no or disciplined him, which was why he was drunk out of his mind that night (the park when he drowned pony). he wanted (needed) for someone to tell him no, set limits, etc. him being intoxicated directly led to his death, later johnny and dally would follow; if his parents told him no/disciplined him, he wouldn't have gotten drunk that night and could've prevented his and the other two deaths

reminder this is just my opinion, though. although i'm literally putting the blame on someone in this post, it's everyone's fault. everyone had a part in it

By 1985, Doctor Brown has spent his family fortune and after 30 years of work had finally created a time machine using the Flux Capacitor and built it into a DeLorean. After successfully testing it on his dog, he meant to make the first man flight through time, but, due to circumstances out of his control, his young friend Marty went in his place. Marty ended up creating a pocket 1985 but that alternate 1985 vanished when the time stream was corrected. On the plus side, the time machine did allow Marty to save Dr Brown’s life twice (once in the past and once in 1985). After both Marty and the Doctor had made several trips with the time machine it was destroyed by getting hit by a train. ("Back to the Future I, II, III", flm)

Jake is a alt/hard rock singer in a band with Javy, Bob, Fanboy, and Payback.

Bradley is an extremely gifted piano artist, Nat is his manager.

Bradley and Jake were in a private relationship for 3 years in their early 20s. Bradley broke up with Jake because he felt like they were drifting apart and Bradley wanted to go public with their relationship and Jake didn’t, so he didn’t think it was worth it anymore. Little did he know Jake was planning to propose with a full album basically declaring their love.

The first song Jake released after the break up was essentially heroin by badflower.

The entire ‘okay I’m sick’ album is what he released after they ended, he decided to delve deep into his extreme childhood trauma and addictions over the years out of pure spite for everything he’s ever experienced.

He later says in a press statement that he was sober for years but had a bad relapse and is “frankly not looking for sobriety right now.” Jake blocked Bradley on everything and lost himself in a mess of drugs, alcohol and men.

Javy was worried but one day it was like Jake woke up from it all and decided he was fine again, he would put on the performance people expect but he never touched coke or anything more then one beer again.

He would chain-smoke around what were important dates to him and Bradley.

It takes 9 years and then suddenly they are back on a red carpet together for music awards and they have to watch each other from across the room and act like they barely know each other.

It’s crushing to Jake.

Bradley is also crushed and has realized how stupid he was years ago but had no way to reach out to just Jake. He reached out to Javy once he saw Jake’s original statement about the album.

Javy had told Bradley to go fuck himself.

They end up in the bathroom together at one point during the night and hook up again. You could call it hate sex but it was more of a ‘fuck you look at me now kinda thing’.

They start talking again, they make a song together after talking for months. It wins them all sorts of awards. They get back together eventually, Jake agrees to go public on the condition that he gets to tell the world that the entire ‘okay I’m sick’ album was based off their first relationship.

Bradley agrees, the press loves the drama of it all. Jake refuses to comment for months. When he finally does all he says is that everyone is stupid at 23 and he doesn’t have any regrets or hesitations.
