When They Were Fans : When Wrestlers Were Fans Part 3
Hey Readers! I am back with part 3 of my ‘ When Wrestlers Were Fans ’ series. If you have not , please check out parts 1 and 2! I’ve been enjoying writing this series and getting see the wrestlers that we all love with the ones who they loved growing up.
Tumblr media
NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan recreating a photo of WWE Hall of Famer and ECW Legend , Rob Van Dam, from one of his workouts. Jordan says that studying RVD’s matches has helped her in the ring and with her training.
Tumblr media
Cassie Lee ( FKA Peyton Royce ) with Jeff Hardy and Mickie James. Lee has said that she loved watching WWE growing up and was inspired to get in the ring. She also said that every time they came back to Australia, she tried to go. Lee also said that Eddie Guerrero was her inspiration to wrestle.
Tumblr media
Jessica McKay ( FKA Billie Kay ) with WWE Hall of Famer , Rey Mysterio. McKay says that she started watching wrestling when she was only 10 years old. She would sit down with her brother and his friends to watch WWE Pay Per Views. McKay credits The Rock for being her inspiration to wrestle.
Tumblr media
Mercedes Monè ( FKA Sasha Banks ) with WWE Hall of Famers , The Garcia Twins ( FKA The Bella Twins ) . During the Divas Revolution in WWE , Moné would be called up to the Main Roster from NXT in 2015 to join Naomi and Tamina Snuka in Team BAD . She credits the Hall of Famers for being Trailblazers and helping pave the way for Women’s Wrestling as we know it . Monè credits Eddie Guerrero as her inspiration to step into the squared circle.
Tumblr media
Cora Jade with CM Punk. Jade has credited Punk and his wife , AJ Lee , as two of her inspirations to step in the ring . Jade and Punk are both from Chicago, Illinois. Like Roxanne Perez, Punk and Lee call Jade their wrestling’ Daughter ’. She also credits Bayley and Sasha Banks ( Mercedes Monè) as inspirations for her to step in the ring after watching them on NXT Takeover : Brooklyn.
Tumblr media
Former NXT Superstar and current AEW star , Adam Cole with WWE Hall of Famer , Shawn Michaels. Cole says that Michaels is favorite wrestler of all time and is the greatest to ever step in the ring. He also says that being NXT has helped his career by being able to learn under his childhood hero.
My Final Thoughts:
Part 3 was a great article to write. As I stated in the previous articles for this series , it is so amazing to see wrestlers we watch with the ones they loved. I have another part to this series coming soon. If you want me to write about the Divas Revolution, let me know!
Love You All,
- Kay

The 15 Greatest Wrestling Attires Of All Time
Tumblr media
One of the best things about playing a wrestling game is creating your own wrestler and designing their attire. Not only does a wrestler’s outfit choice individualize their own swag to the audience, but it becomes more iconic when you see attire changes at special events like “WrestleMania”. Whether your from Parts Unknown like Undertaker or
Growing up huge wrestling fans, we’ve seen some of the worst outfit choices in pro wrestling history so today we highlight the 15 greatest wrestling attires in WWE history.
15. Rey Mysterio Jr
The WCW Cruiserweight division had tons of different looks throughout there run but one of the most popular stars to come from that division was Rey Mysterio Jr. Him being an explosive high flyer was already cool to see but him changing his attire weekly with the pants & mask combo was a dope addition,
Tumblr media
14. Rob Van Dam
Mr. Monday Night RVD was the Bret Hart of ECW in terms of popularity but moveset not even close. What they did have in common was the customized Singlets they would rock. RVD had many memorable versions. One of our favorites for the Bones/Ying Yang he had during his Hardcore Champion run.
Tumblr media
13. Kurt Angle
The Olympic Hero Kurt Angle played off the American Flag color scheme and it worked his entire career. Various formats of Red, White & Blue, Kurt made this his signature look and his 1996 Gold medals completed the image.
Tumblr media
12. Kane
From the moment Kane arrived on the scene back in 97, His Black & Red attire known as “Demon Kane” was memorable for how he carried himself. Similar to his brother The Undertaker, Kane really gave zero fucks to the point he would even set people on fire
Tumblr media
11. Owen Hart
Like his brother Bret, Owen Hart utilized the Black & Pink color scheme. His attire was dope and usually stood out for the “King Of Harts” & “Slammy Winner” designs on the singlets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. Harlem Heat
Booker T and Stevie Ray better known as Harlem Heat were an exciting tag team to watch in WCW.
In the era where tag team wrestling was prevalent, Harlem Heat had the moves, the music, and the attire to be a top in WCW. Whether it be their all Black or All Red attire, it would always be a surprise to see what they color they be wearing.
Tumblr media
9. Jimmy Hart
Jimmy Hart had Drip before it even had a name. Known for his Megaphone and colorful airbrushed Jackets, he made the manager role more popular with how involved he was.
Tumblr media
8. Ric Flair
Styling and Profiling, Ric Flair has few robes that pop up over and over again in his career, and the black-and-white robe that Flair wore for the bulk of his then-WWF run from 1991 to 1993 certainly ranks among the most recognizable.
Most of Ric Flair's iconic robes had recognizable, repeated patterns, but he also wore a few outliers that go beyond even the standard level of Flair bombast
Tumblr media
7. Sting
Sting was already standing out with his bright colored face paint and his blonde hair. But it was when he established his “Crow” Gimmick that It seemingly gave his character and career new life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Bret Hart
The Best There is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be, Bret Hart had everything you need to be the perfect wrestling. Hist attire stood out rocking the signature Hart Foundation Pink & Black Colorway but he took it to a new level. My Favorite was his 1994 Royal Rumble with the paint splashed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. New World Order
In July 1996, The New World Order took over the WCW like a gang showing up in all black. Not only id they take no Shit from anyone, but it worked so well because the world was so use to seeing Hogan in red and yellow.
That color change in retrospect a transitional work, all the ingredients for the superstar version of Jay are there — the transcendent arrogance, the pop instincts, the unimpressed-to-the-point-of-boredom street-talk
Tumblr media
4. Shawn Michaels
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is known for having an iconic Wardrobe. Whether it be a regular WWF Raw match or a WrestleMania main event, HBK had legendary attire for days.
His Texas styled hearts for Royal Rumble 97, or his Black/Green DX tights for IYH always kept you wondering what color way he’d choose next.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Razor Ramon
Slick back hair, tooth pick, and gold chains with instructions to take good care of them during the match, Razor Ramon sold his Tony Montana gimmick was fun to watch because his ever changing gimmick. Seeing him night after night on Monday Night RAW in different attires made you question what color they would choose in certain video games.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. The Ultimate Warrior
Ultimate Warrior was known for his outrageous outfits. The man from Parts Unknown, His color choices made him look like a neon blur as he raced toward the ring. But the WWF Universe had never seen the Warrior make such a big deal out of one of his contests that he based his attire around it.
Tumblr media
1. Macho Man Randy Savage
I don’t think I need to go into detail on this one. Savage’s gear really spoke for him when he didn’t have a mic in his hand. It was loud, colourful and somehow managed to make sense for him, though if anybody else wore it they’d look like an idiot

I must have been five years old the first time I discovered pro wrestling. My earliest memories were asking my mother to let me stay up late enough to watch Thursday Night SmackDown on UPN. In a tiny piece of section 8 in the middle of West Bronx. I think it had to due with a mutual love for superheroes as a child. For two hours once every week, I got to see wars of superheroes live in my shared bedroom. It was a nice escape for a kid to have. Bad guy cheats, good guy wins. Everyone loves the hero. Everyone hates the villain. Simple enough for a five year old to understand.
My first favorite wrestler was Goldberg. Even if you never saw the stuff, you knew Goldberg was the prototypical wrestler imagined in your head. Staggering. Juiced to gills. Tribal tats and all black spandex. Screaming and sweating his bald ass off into a microphone. You saw this guy walking down a street, you know what the fuck he does for a living.
A little while after my introduction to SmackDown, I picked up on enough to know who was who and what was what. Why heels were violent. Why babyfaces put so much on the line every week. My new favorites tended to be smaller wrestlers that could make me laugh or get an ooh outta me from their Cirque de Soleil acts. Booker T. Rob Van Dam. Eddie Guerrero. Chris Jericho. These were the ones I felt could be a bit more relatable to someone standing 3 feet tall. I could tell most of them would be Marvel guys because they never shut up. Always had some catchphrase to hock on a t-shirt. Vivid costumes,  music blaring through the CRT speakers, Mortal Kombat-style finishing move. How couldn’t I love this?
I moved from project housing to the suburbs of North Carolina when I was seven. Culture shock wasn’t big enough a word to describe my life. Too much adjustment to new circumstances meant I couldn’t keep up with wrestling world anymore. So it fell out. I heard kids on the metal slides of recess talk up a big game about John Cena but I was too out of orbit with the rest of the world to keep up on anything outside my new home.
I remember what brought me back into that orbit. I got off the bus from an exhausting day of fifth grade. I check into my family’s mail sitting next to our apartment’s front door. A catalog ad for junk television shows and movies new to HBO. Then I see it. Royal Rumble 2008. A 30-Man Free for All! Long story short, I was crash landing on wrestle world and I had no intention of leaving.
Four years later, I was in deep on mark life. 10th grade wrestling encyclopedia. Could tell you the history of the WWF, WCW, ECW, Total Non-stop Action, Ring of Honor, WrestleMania, Starrcade, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, I was in deep. But to be honest with you, I was getting so bored of WWE by this point of my life. Following stories didn’t reward me. My favorites would do nothing of interest. Title matches were meaningless. Worst thing? It didn’t feel cool anymore. It was never cool, but more in that nerd cool. Like Toonami or cape movies. But now my wrestling didn’t have either. It was just this three hour addiction to mediocre fights featuring guys that didn’t give a shit anymore. I had my eye on other promotions across the States and worldwide but nothing was the same.
Fast forward to two months ago. I’m twenty-three at this point. Shackled in quarantine during the worst plague of a lifetime with my girlfriend by my side and my studies behind me. Nowhere is safe. Lockdown meant stay home and find some new way to entertain myself. I went through every comic I owned, half my video games, binged all five series worth a damn on Netflix until I decided....”Shit. I haven’t seen a match in forever.” An insight into New Japan Pro was the single spark I needed to get back deeper in the hole than I ever had been. Now I learning the history of puroresu from Rikidozan to Kazuchika Okada’s five time IWGP title reigns. I could sit through 70 minute matches commentated in a language I don’t speak a bit of like it ain’t shit. For the first time though, I knew I wasn’t looking at this like comic books. I was a 20something dork watching wrestling and analyzing that shit like it’s film school. It is.  Maybe that’s why I’m obsessed. Maybe this stuff is theatre for proletariat. I’m not that quite far up my own ass, give It another year. Maybe Shakespeare was wrestling before it was Shakespeare. In an age where a Tarantino can riff on tropes for Westerns and get auteur praise, I’m never sure why wrestling can’t do the same. Maybe when we’ve collapsed into a post-plague apocalypse we’ll look at ancient Youtube clips of Bret Hart vs Stone Cold and wonder how a society that sophisticated fell so far into abyss.
In conclusion: there’s a straight line between Chekov and Curry Man vs Shark Boy.

With the road to Fear & Loathing now officially underway, ICW return to The Garage in Glasgow for another taping of their weekly show Fight Club. A stacked card has been signed, so let’s get right into it!
Joe Coffey w/Red Lightning vs Martin Kirby
The main event for tomorrow’s show will see the ICW World Heavyweight Champion and RUDO Sports & Entertainment Brand client Joe Coffey set to face off against the returning Martin Kirby. The contract agreed by ICW management and Red Lightning says that if Kirby is able to pick up the win in Glasgow, he will earn a future shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Coffey retained against Jack Jester in a brutal Steel Cage Match during night 2 of Shug’s Hoose Party 4 with the help of Red’s newest client Bram. Since winning the gold in April from Trent Seven, Coffey has been a dominant champion, setting back the likes of Joe Hendry, Jordan Devlin and Pete Dunne. Martin Kirby made his ICW return during the Square Go! back in February and has since been teaming with Joey Hayes in a winning effort against the longest reigning ICW Tag Team Champions, Polo Promotions. Kirby may come across as a comedy character, but he can certainly go the distance and earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.
Triple Threat Match for the ICW Zero-G Championship Wolfgang vs BT Gunn (c) vs Stevie Boy
BT Gunn will make the first defence of his newly-won Zero-G Championship tomorrow night in a huge Triple Threat Match against his former New Age Kliq allies Wolfgang and Stevie Boy. After coming up short in a fantastic Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE United Kingdom Championship on night 1 of Shug’s Hoose Party 4, The Oddity answered Kenny Williams’ open challenge on night 2 to not only become the new Zero-G Champion, but also become the first ever Triple Crown winner in ICW history. His two challengers for the gold know what it takes to become the Zero-G Champion, with Wolfgang holding the gold for 189 days in 2013 and Stevie clinging on the title for 210 days in 2015. Wolfgang was also in the UK Championship match and put in a good showing, almost picking up the gold thanks to his brass knuckles. Stevie Boy on the other hand took part in a brutal Dog Collar Match against Mikey Whiplash during night 1, coming up short despite a great effort. The United Kingdom Championship match may have been fantastic, but this match could possibly be even better.
Handicap Match The Marauders (Mike Bird & Wild Boar) vs Chris Brookes
The current ICW Tag Team Champions will be in attendance this Sunday when they face one half of CCK, Chris Brookes. Originally scheduled as a tag team match, Brookes’ tag team partner Kid Lykos has been forced to pull out due to a dislocated shoulder suffered last weekend. The contract signed for the match says that if Chris Brookes is victorious, then CCK will earn a future shot at The Marauders’ Tag Team Championships. With Polo Promotions also claiming a future shot at the gold after defeating them at Shug’s Hoose Party, The Marauders look to have a busy future ahead of them is Chris Brookes is somehow able to defeat the two dangerous Welshmen by himself.
Kasey vs Jamie Winters
The new ICW Women’s Champion will be at The Garage tomorrow night as Kasey is set to face Jamie Winters in a non-title match. Kasey was originally scheduled to face off against “The Queen of Catch” Sammii Jayne in a title match, but she has unfortunately been forced to pull out due to an injury. As a result, Kasey will now face off against GPWA standout Jamie Winters. Despite being a non-title match, you would have to imagine that if Jamie is able to defeat Kasey then she would earn herself a shot at the Women’s Title. Kasey vs Sammii Jayne would have been a fantastic bout in itself, but young Jamie Winters has the chance to prove herself as one of the top female wrestlers in ICW tomorrow night.
Polo Promotions (Jackie Polo & Mark Coffey) vs The Kings of Catch (Aspen Faith & Lewis Girvan)
Another huge tag team match has been signed for this Sunday’s show as the rubber match takes place between Polo Promotions and The Kings of Catch. Polo Promotions won the first match between the two at a Fight Club taping at the end of April, with The Kings of Catch picking up the win at Tramspotting 2 in June. Polo Promotions were recently on different pages, but have since put those issues behind them which led to them earning another shot at The Marauders and their Tag Team Championships. If Aspen and Lewis are able to defeat Jackie and Mark tomorrow night, that would surely put them in line for a shot at the titles. Polo Promotions, CCK and The Kings of Catch could all hold claim to a title shot following this weekend’s taping of Fight Club.
The Kinky Party (Jack Jester & Sha Samuels) vs Legion (Mikey Whiplash & Chris Renfrew)
The Kinky Party will unite for the first time this Sunday as they take on Legion’s Mikey Whiplash and Chris Renfrew. Jack Jester came up short in his challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Shug’s Hoose Party, while Sha Samuels sent international wrestling superstar and TV personality Grado packing from ICW by defeating him in a Loser Leaves ICW Match. Sha’s rivalry with Grado is now officially at an end, so he’ll be looking to move on to pastures new. Legion had an odd night 1 of Shug’s Hoose Party. Whiplash was victorious over Stevie in a Dog Collar Match, before he was ambushed by the returning Jimmy Havoc who challenged Stevie, Whiplash and Renfrew to a Fatal Four Way Deathmatch at Fear & Loathing X in November. Lots of stories coming into this huge tag team match.
Iestyn Rees vs Kenny Williams
Also signed for tomorrow night is singles action between Iestyn Rees and Kenny Williams. Rees teamed with his Marauders allies Mike Bird and Wild Boar to face Polo Promotions and mystery third partner back at Shug’s Hoose Party, but they ended up having many different partners throughout the match with Kenny Williams being just one of them. The Bollocks was one of many men who helped Polo Promotions remain as a team in ICW. The Alpha Male will look to exact revenge over the former three-time Zero-G Champion this Sunday at The Garage.
DCT w/Coach Trip vs Krieger w/Kid Fite & Lou King Sharp
The last match signed for the show sees DCT with Coach Trip in his corner squaring off against Krieger, with Kid Fite and Lou King Sharp supporting him at ringside. Both of these men were successful at Shug’s Hoose Party, with DCT and Coach Trip defeating Davey Blaze and The Wee Man in a Kiss My Arse Match while Krieger and Lou King Sharp assisted Kid Fite in pinning Bull James. Despite being signed to face Scudmaster Sexy, DCT has insisted he instead wants to face Kid Fite. DCT and Fite have plenty history between them, with the two recently being involved in the Team ICW vs Black Label match at The Hydro last November. Will Kid Fite accept the challenge of The International Sex Hero, or will Krieger head out to face DCT?
Also scheduled to appear tomorrow night are Lionheart and Ravie Davie. Lionheart will be there to address his upcoming match with former WWE, ECW and TNA superstar Rob Van Dam at The Hydro on November 19th, while Davie will be there to speak about the shocking actions of Bram during his Scheme Wedding to Martina at Shug’s Hoose Party.
Tickets are still available as of writing from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, with doors scheduled to open at 6:30pm and a start time of 7pm.
Announced Matches Joe Coffey w/Red Lightning vs Martin Kirby Triple Threat Match for the ICW Zero-G Championship: Wolfgang vs BT Gunn (c) vs Stevie Boy Handicap Match: The Marauders vs Chris Brookes Kasey vs Jamie Winters Polo Promotions vs The Kings of Catch The Kinky Party vs Legion Iestyn Rees vs Kenny Williams DCT w/Coach Trip vs Krieger w/Kid Fite & Lou King Sharp

HMB: The Beast of Exmoor
Original Publishing Date: June 10th, 2016
I saw this movie months before June and I thought to myself, "Beast of Exmoor! Fuck! That's a cryptid! I can watch this in Cryptid Month". Well, as it turns out, this movie has nothing to do with the Beast of Exmoor, but I'll get into that in a minute. The movie is about, stop me if your heard this one before, a skeptic and a paranormal investigator investigating sightings of a cryptid. This particular one is called the Beast of Exmoor, famous for its mysterious live stock killings in the United Kingdom. They team up with a big cat tracker to try to find the creature in the moors. I will say I love the establishing shot of the moors. They use a tracking shot, but from a bird's eye view, making the ground look like the tops of tree, only to have the camera pan up and establish we were looking at the grassy ground of the moor. I thought that was a clever establishing shot. But let's get into the problems with the movie. The point of this movie is to find the Beast of Exmoor. Okay, so when making a story like this, you need to give the audience a reason to want the creature captured. Usually it's because the beast has done something terrible, like eat someone, or you can make the characters likable and we follow them along because we want them to succeed. The film doesn't do a good job establishing likable characters nor a motivation to want to capture the creature. Yes, there are attempts, like the cold opening where a young girl is being chased out of the woods by the beast, but we don't know anything about this character for us to give a shit, and that's the worst thing we see the beast do in the film. The rest are implied attacks. Well, that doesn't give us an emotional reason to go after the beast, so there's nothing there for us. But you can make up for this with good characters. The film doesn't even introduce the characters, it starts off at them at a coffee shop talking about the beast. There's simple character development and then there's forgetting to put in character development at all. We don't know anything about these characters other than the girl paranormal investigator is friends with the animal tracker and the skeptic boyfriend worked for some company that had fancy surveillance equipment, which he stole. The movie tries to make up for a lack of character by having these characters say stupid, forced quirky comments all the time. Yeah, okay, try are trying to establish the character as funny, but it doesn't come off that way, and we need more to root for this guy. So let's get into the twist of the movie, although I wouldn't call it a twist seeing how it happens midway through the movie. The Beast of Exmoor is not a cat, but a serial killer. Right out of nowhere. There was no build up to the people being missing, no hints scattered before this scene, it just changes gears to a serial killer movie. Now, I wouldn't mind this twist if there was build up, but like I said, there wasn't. So the animal tracker knew of the killings and didn't report it to police because he wanted to find the serial killer and be a hero. And then what follows is an unnecessarily amount of bitching. The paranormal investigator bitches. The boyfriend bitches. And the animal tracker bitches. The bitch about betray. They bitch about serial killers. They bitch about not trusting each other. Like I know it's hard to understand how people would act if they found out their friend unpurposely brought them to the den of a serial killer to attempt to catch it, I'd imagine there would be a lot of bitching, but instead of being worried how realistic the reactions should be, how about you give us the reactions we want to see? We want to see the investigators suck it up and help their friend nab the killer. So keep the bitching to a minimal so we can get to the good stuff. Is it unrealistic? Yes, but you are telling a story, not real life. Now, the movie then does something I kind of like. It implies that the animal tracker might be the serial killer. Now, to make an effective mystery, you need more than two possibilities. Seeing how the Beast of Exmoor argument isn't ruled out yet, there are three possible killers. The boyfriend doesn't trust the tracker because of sexual frustration the two have over the girlfriend. It's a nice source of conflict and its believable, seeing how crazy the animal tracker is. But what a let down, turns out the serial killer is its own God dam character. Again, this would be fine if there was built up and suspense, but nope, as soon as its suggested that the tracker could be the killer, he's killed by the real killer. But the biggest problem I have with the movie is something I forgot to mention from the beginning and what's scattered throughout the movie. Random, pointless shit that shouldn't be in the film. There's a scene where identical twin gingers throw a molotov cocktail into a car and pushes it at the heroes' van. They only show up again when they were trying to rob the investigator and tried to rape her. Then they vanish from the movie. What was the point of those characters? At first I thought it was to make us think they were the ones committing the murders, but A, they were introduced when we thought the bad guy was the cryptid, not a serial killer, and B, they never hinted that it could have been them. So those characters were useless. There's a character who is a crack head who is introduced in her underwear. Okay, this character makes sense. The tracker brought her in because she saw the beast. But this is horse shit, the tracker just paid her to say that to get the two onboard with his killer hunt. She was important to the story. When then afterwards did they just leave her at the abandon farm is beyond me. And then there's a little girl with an eye patch who is the serial killer's daughter. Why the fuck was she in this? To add more minutes to the run time. One of the "dead" bodies they found came back to life, but this character is more useless then the ginger kids. She doesn't nothing to further the story other than be a nuisance. The heroes are trying to help her but all she does is try to attack them. Writer, we need to sympathize with the victim. That's how it works. If you just cut out all these useless elements in the story, you'd have enough time to build up more character and make us want them to stop the killer. This script feels like a rough draft, in fact, there's a line in the movie, by the eye patch girl, in which she says "Don't go in there" when referring to the investigator leaving the hummer they were in to go back into the woods. She was going outside, and the little girl said, "Don't go in there". Now, this could have been the actor's fault. Or maybe the writer didn't double check his script and forgot to change the words. Either way wouldn't surprise me. Look, it's a good plot, I like the twist and all, but this is a story driven by character, and without character the plot has nothing. The creature does nothing that makes us want to stop him, so it's up to the character to drive the story. These characters are to bland to be interesting, and because of that, the entire movie falls apart. Well that's it. This was longer than my usual blogs, but God dam I had a lot to say. Still, despite everything I just said, it's not the worst film I've seen all year. At the very least it was able to catch my attention at some part and was entertaining at others. So what I'm saying is, it needs a little bit more work before it could be "okay".

Review of the First Elimination Chamber Match
Tumblr media
Promotional image for the first match that was held of this stipulation.
As a pro wrestling fan. I like to indulge in matches as much as I can. Today the match I’m reviewing is historic. WWE has only hosted an Elimination Chamber Match (Sometimes acronised as an EC Match) a total of nineteen times (soon to become twenty following the Elimination Chamber (2017) event). Most have been brutal affairs.
The rules of the match are simple: Two people start the match, four others are locked in pods within the chamber. These participants are released progressively throughout the match. Participants may only be eliminated by pinfall or submission. The last person standing is declared the winner.
The match I’m going to review occurred at Survivor Series (2002), Typically the event is known for hosting 5 v 5 or 4 v 4 Elimination Tag Team matches. The only times this event did not host such a match were 1998 (A championship tournament was held that year) and This event due to the Elimination Chamber emphasizing survival. So with all that out of the way. Let’s begin.
(NOTE: The video I used to review was the WWE Network upload of this event. The timestamps thus refer to that recording.) - Timestamps are - H:MM:SS
The following is a review of an Elimination Chamber match - Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H (World Heavyweight Champion) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane vs. Booker T
1:45:00 - We get the video package promoting the match set to Saliva’s ‘Always’ (One of my personal favourite songs to be honest.) The video package showcases the best of each performer leading up to this match.
1:53:41 - Chris Jericho is introduced to the ring while Saliva live performs at the World (A WWE Restraunt at the time). Chris Jericho as one of the first four is locked in one of the four pods.
1:55:25 - Booker T (A 5-time WCW World Champion) is introduced next and will also be placed in one of the pods.
1:56:32 - Kane (whom enters to the song Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven) comes in third.
1:57:43 - Shawn Michaels (The main hero of this match after all Triple H had put him through prior) is introduced as the final individual whom will gain an advantage of being in the pod.
1:59:15 - Rod Van Dam (Known mainly for his performances in ECW, enters the ring as one of the first two to enter.)
2:00:12 - Triple H enters last to his famous theme ‘The Game’ by Motörhead, With Ric Flair by his side. So with everyone entered into the Chamber. Let’s begin the brutality.
The match begins with Triple H and RVD grappling, RVD takes control and attempts an Irish Whip, Triple H fails a counter and RVD continues his offense. Later on, Triple H attempts a Pedigree which RVD counters into a back drop onto the steel apron. We’re only a bit into this match and Triple H has been backfalled onto steel and soon after is rammed into steel chain four times. At one point, It’s done with such force a latch is opened. RVD later does a rolling thunder to Triple H onto the steel. RVD after conducting some more offense climbs the wall to Chris Jericho’s pod. Jericho pulls him into the pod. After countering this. He goes after Triple H yet again. So far Triple H has taken a first class ticket to hell based on all this punishment.
ENTRANT NUMBER 3 is… CHRIS JERICHO!
Jericho enters the ring and is immediately met by a spinning kick by RVD, RVD later attacks Jericho with a moonsault and proceeds to get a two count. RVD later attempts leaping on to Jericho, Upon Jericho ducking he catches himself on the steel wall and attacks Jericho with a crossbody. Jericho later gets a two count on RVD following landing on him from a jump. Following this Jericho stands on a turnbuckle and mocks Michaels by doing the ‘Suck it’ gesture he used during his time in D-Generation X. Jericho and Triple H soon team up on RVD and continually go after him.
ENTRANT NUMBER 4 is… BOOKER T!
Booker T soon clears the ring and celebrates with a spin-a-ronnie. RVD and Booker T are soon left as the only two in the ring and go after each-other. Booker T following a mistake by RVD in an attack gets a two-count, RVD following a spinning heel kick also gets a two-count, Later on Booker T gets another two-count on RVD.
2:15:07 - RVD botches a frog splash from the top of a pod. The result? The WWE website reports that Triple H suffered swelling in his neck which caused pressure on his esophagus and trachea which made breathing difficult. - PWTorch (November 18, 2002) "When Rob Van Dam hit me with the Frogsplash off the top of the cage, his knee went across my throat. It caused swelling on the inside of my throat, which closed my airway down.” - Triple H (November 19, 2002; WWE.com)
As to whether Triple H blamed RVD for the incident: “No. This is a tough business. And there are certain moves in the business that are high-risk moves…  Every time that you do one, the odds go up that something’s going to happen…  And this time, something happened. The time was right, and there it was. This has nothing to do with Rob. I feel completely safe in the ring with Rob every time I’m in there with him… It wasn’t his fault, it wasn’t my fault.”  - Triple H (November 19, 2002; WWE.com)
This is why there are those videos saying DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME. Because injuries can and have occurred in wrestling, Anyway. Back to the match. Booker T hits a missile dropkick from the top rope and… ROB VAN DAM HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.
Booker T attempts a pin on Triple H, but it fails due to Triple H putting his foot on the ropes. Following more offense between Jericho and Booker T…
ENTRANT NUMBER 5 is… KANE!
Kane proceeds to go after Booker T and Jericho, Including eventually forcing Jericho to the steel floor, throwing him against the wall and then he puts Jericho through THE BULLETPROOF PLEXIGLASS DOOR of one of the pods. Kane hits a chokeslam, Jericho soon gets back up hits a moonsault while Triple H and Kane are battling to the left and… BOOKER T HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.
Kane and Jericho proceed to continue attacking each-other, Culminating in a suplex which results in a two count for Kane as he attempted eliminating Jericho. Following some more attacks by the three (Triple H, Kane & Jericho) all are down as we wait for the final entrant.
THE FINAL ENTRANT is… SHAWN MICHAELS!
Michaels proceeds to start clearing house and attempts going after everybody. Kane after countering one of Michaels attacks goes after everybody himself as he chokeslams everyone in the ring. As Kane attempts a piledriver on Triple H he is hit by a superkick from Michaels, a pedigree by Triple H soon after and a moonsault by Jericho almost immediately after, as a result of all this… KANE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (Being hit by all three of these superstars finishers would do that [result in an elimination]).
Down to the final three. Triple H & Jericho team up in an attempt to destroy any chance of Michaels winning. One of their attacks includes forcing Michaels head against the steel chains to in Jericho’s own words use it as a “cheese grater”. Michaels later attempts fighting back but is stopped when Jericho backfalls him on to the steel. Soon after with his back turned Michaels is hit by Jericho with a modified bulldog and a moonsault. Michaels kicks out of it at two, Jericho attempts pinning again and fails. Michaels soon hits his own moonsault for a two-count and then attempts a Walls of Jericho on Jericho himself only for Triple H to break it up (Which wouldn’t be that stupid to do as Jericho entered third so he’d be easier to beat than Michaels whom entered sixth). Though that idea goes out the window when Triple H hits a DDT and Jericho attempts a pin which fails when Triple H pulls Jericho off Michaels. (Because Triple H in storyline hates Michaels so much he can’t bare to let anyone else pin him if he can.) After this the two (Jericho and Triple H) implode and start going after each-other. Culminating in Jericho countering a Pedigree into a Walls of Jericho which leads to Michaels hitting a superkick on Jericho and… JERICHO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.
So after all this. The two men who began D-Generation X and fought in an Unsanctioned Street Fight at SummerSlam (2002) are now battling for the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H soon hits a spinebuster and Michaels kicks out at two. Upon Michaels trying an attack on Triple H, Triple H counters and forces him to the steel floor. Later he tries a Pedigree on Triple H and Triple H counters by putting Michaels through the bulletproof plexiglass door of one of the pods. Even after this, Michaels still kicks out at two. The two now just go back and forth, and at one point Michaels is forced to the steel floor once again. Triple H prepares to attempt a pedigree, but he counters it by catapulting him into the steel wall. Michaels an elbow drop from the top of a pod onto Triple H. Triple H kicks later hits a Pedigree. Michaels, however shockingly kicks out at two. Triple H prepares to try again but Michaels counters with a back body drop, goes to the corner and hits Sweet Chin Music which leads to a pinfall. TRIPLE H HAS BEEN ELIMINATED. SHAWN MICHAELS IS NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
The question is now how do I rate this. (Rules are simple: Wrestler Observer Newsletter System; -***** to ***** (If a match goes above that then ******) This got ****¼ in that publication. I’m willing to give this purely a ****. The botch kind off lessens it but I think RVD was eliminated early. Thus depriving it of some action. Don’t get me wrong. This was still a great match. (All six wrestlers in this match are some of the best of all-time. Just I felt there was more that could've been done in this match. Ok. Let’s see what I’ve chosen to review next.

No-comply Glitch
First you must be in regular stance for this to work, and you must be completely still. First you crouch down enough to where you almost grab your board but don’t. Now you have to do a no-comply while crouching by hitting X and quickly Ollie-ing. If you do it write you will be sprung in the air spinning.
Freakout Glitch
First you need to do a Ollie and do a double grab, then in the air you let go of the left trigger and immediately hit B and you will spin around uncontrollably. Note:you wont spin around wildly sometimes but you randomly fall in the air.
