I am so bad at getting back to everyone who tags me in these extremely sweet posts and out of fear of forgetting to tag anyone I’ll refrain from trying to but I hope everyone I see in my notes frequently, everyone I talk to here or on discord, everyone who I chat with in tags and reblogs, who I chat with in server and who talks to me about fanfics and sends me art I might like and roleplays and writes and reads with me I appreciate everyone around me and the positive interactions we have so, so much. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of the greatest people I know here and it’s hard to put my gratefulness for you all into words 💖

I recently queued a lot of lovely art from a blog that stopped posting I think 2014 and when frost discovered that blog I learned that the artist has died rather suddenly and that’s why the blog is discontinued. His partner left it online because she knew art was his life and so I decided to go ahead and reblog his art/put it in the queue.

Now some of that art has been posted during the last couple of days and I keep seeing it circulating back onto my dashboard. And I know hardly any or probably none of the people reblogging those pieces know about the artist having died, but I do and it always fills me a sense of happiness when I see his art being shared like his partner wanted it to, because that is what he lived for.

You giggle bashfully and take another sip from the drink in your hand. You lost count of how often your glass has been filled up again a while ago, but it must have been quite a few times, if the way your skin tingles and how hot your cheeks burn are anything to judge from. The alcohol and the sweltering atmosphere in this club don’t help either, but there‘s another cause for the heat inside you, that not even the iced drinks seem to help with.

Or rather, two causes.

“Thanks.” You try to think of the right name while swirling your drink, sending the ice cubes on merry little rounds in the glass. “...Matthew?” The name sounds more like a question directed at the guy who had just sat down by your side again after getting you and the other reason for your agitation another round from the bar.

“Still having a hard time telling us apart, huh sweetheart?”

The question comes from across the little lounge table where reason number two takes a sip from the beer his alleged doppelganger had just handed him. You muster him and try to find something about him that allows you to disagree, but the boys are both the same kind of pretty.

Tall, blond, with striking blue eyes, an unprecedented amount of charm and glasses that add the perfect bit of nerdy intelligence to their appearance. In short, Matthew and Alfred are the definition of attractiveness, multiplied by two. Whomsoever of them might be who.

“Now, how about a little game?”

You quirk an eyebrow at Alfred’s suggestion. Or at least you think this is Alfred… He looks at you expectantly and leans forward a little to get a closer look at you. You can feel his gaze on you, mustering every last centimetre with hooded eyes. It’s oddly flattering.

“Are you sure you want to go alone? I can come with you, meet you there tomorrow.”

“I appreciate the offer, but I’m sure we’ll be fine,” Henrique replied as he tried to focus on changing lanes mid-sentence. Once he was safely over, he resumed his conversation with Arthur over the phone, and said, "Besides, I don't think he'd be thrilled to see you at the door, of all people. No offence."

"None taken," Arthur assured him. "I wouldn't be there for him, though. Remember that. If you need me at any point, just tell me. I’ll be right over.”

Henrique didn’t want to tell him how silly he sounded over the phone. It was a kind gesture, though entirely unnecessary. He would be fine. All he was doing was visiting Antonio for a week and… doing whatever he could to make him feel better.

‘I don’t know what to do. You said to call you if I ever felt— Well, lost, right? And I’m lost, Henrique. I-I’m so lost right now…’

The words heard only that morning crept up on him, came to hang around his shoulders like a heavy scarf. He’d woken up to a voicemail left for him in the middle of the night. And as soon as he’d heard it, he’d called Antonio back and had arranged to spend a week with him—even if Antonio had protested and insisted he was fine, that he’d been drinking, that he didn’t need the company…

…Frankly, that had only made Henrique pack his bags quicker.

“Let me know once you get there, won’t you?”

Henrique refocused on the road (he was glad it was quiet) and said to Arthur, “I will. Maybe not right away, but… I’ll text you.”

“As long as. That’s all I can ask for,” Arthur replied. 

There was a moment, then, in which Henrique thought Arthur would say more. The pause was not quite a pause—not quite a finale. But, if he did want to say more, he didn’t. Instead, he told Henrique to drive safely, and promised to speak to him soon.

Henrique did not force further conversation. Perhaps, for the sake of himself and other road users, it was for the best.

With an hour left of his journey, the only company Henrique allowed himself was the radio. Some of the songs he knew, and others, he was less familiar with. At least they helped pass the time, singing words that were seldom appropriate for how he felt, but that seemed to do their best to uplift him.

In turn, with time passed signs—so many signs pointing him towards all the wrong cities, the wrong towns, the wrong places. He needed a sign that took him directly to Antonio, the fastest route available. He had a route mapped in his mind but even as he followed it, the thought lingered: what if there's a faster way?

Henrique was worried.

The last line I wrote was the final paragraph for the second chapter (or scene, unsure if I will divide it or not) of my nyo!us/uk AU which will be very nsfw but as fate wants it there’s not a single naughty word in the final paragraph here:

Suddenly eager to finish the meal, Arthur stabs his fork into the last piece of potato on his plate and lifts it to his lips. “Sounds wonderful,” he admits with a loving gaze at his beautiful wife.

I would not call myself an artist but I do try to draw now and then and the last line I drew was on a self portrait I did for practice. (I’ll put it under the cut cause honestly I don’t really like it but I don’t make the rules here)

I’ve seen some headcanons about the Germanic countries being scared of the Krampus when they were younger and it reminded me of this childhood story of mine that my mum loves to bring up and so why not tell it the rest of the world as well?

When I was like 2-3 years old, not really old enough to understand the whole Krampus and Nikolaus stuff but old enough to run around and interact with them with my parents around, I was at my grandma’s with my cousins when Krampus and Nikolaus visited the house, as it’s tradition there. My cousin who was 7 at that time was super scared of the Krampus, hiding inside the house while my mum carried me outside to see what’s going on and apparently I went to the Krampus with absolutely no hesitation and demanded for the funny monkey to carry me around. The guy in the costume went full stop from doing stuff to be scary and was all like “what do I do now??” and my mum told him to pick me since I’m not scared and that’s what I want. So the boy in the costume did exactly that and I had a great time except my cousin was even more scared now of the Krampus taking my away with him 😂

Anyway, based on my own childhood anecdote my headcanon is that I don’t believe Kugelmugel is scared of the Krampus, they would love the funny ape and even participate in the tradition by seeing their own costume once they are older.
