John - Who Gone Be | Music Video Trailer from Vita Pictura on Vimeo.
The official music video for “Fight City” mini-series produced by Vita Pictura and Roll Up Films and directed and performed by John Lee.
John Lee created this series while teaching math at a high school and doing his master’s degree. Fight City was shot in New York, Cleveland, and Tallinn. The film builds on the range of issues one faces while growing up in a community segregated by financial status, class, and race. The production just proved that film has no boundaries, as long as you are convinced to go through all of the ups and downs of the process.

February Wrap Up
(like 11 days late but whatever)
Fireblood by Elly Blake- The sequel to Frostblood, and a solid follow up. Pretty predictable, but I am still interested and invested in the series. It’s high fantasy romance centric, but the mythology is intriguing. Overall Grade: B
Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout- A sequel far less intriguing and compelling. Now that I’ve read the sequel, I’m putting this series to rest. The aliens are quite unoriginal and Katy and Daemon are annoying. It’s basically Twilight with aliens. Overall grade: C-
Crave by Melissa Darnell- This was reread and it did not age well. Vampires and witches with zero creativity. And everyone is too young and dumb. Ugh. Don’t read this. Overall grade: D
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon- A cute diverse YA romance, but the writing was unappealing in my personal opinion. It was very sweet and I loved learning a little about Indian culture. I’m looking forward to more books from the author. Overall grade: B-
Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco- I read this play for school, and WHOA. So good. It’s an absurdest play about rhinos in France. Turns out, people are turning into rhinoceroses. And its an analogy for Nazis, and people joining the movement so it goes from something funny and ridiculous to terrifying and devastating. Overall grade: A-
Deerskin by Robin McKinley- Look, I love this author. And I did enjoy it but less than others. To be fair, it’s not about enjoying. It’s super intense and dark and it’s a fairy tale retelling. The main relationship is between a girl and her dog, so that was a nice change from the norm. Major trigger warnings, message me for specifics. Overall grade: B+
Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann- I’m super biased, but oh my God, an ACE book???? Great, AMAZING diversity in this book. The writing was a little basic and kind of boring, and the relationship was kind of rushed. Worth reading if you want diverse contemporary books. Overall grade: B
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (the play) by Simon Stephens- Look, I read this book twice for school and I’m really done with it. Not my cup of tea. I can’t speak to the rep of autistic people, I’ve heard it’s good from some people, bad from others. But the plot is boring when you have read it once.  Overall grade: C-

Super League: Huddersfield Giants 26-27 Leeds Rhinos
Tumblr media
Leeds trailed by 20 points in the final quarter of the match
Luke Gale landed a golden-point drop-goal in extra time to complete a remarkable comeback victory for Leeds Rhinos against Huddersfield Giants.
Louis Senior and a Darnell McIntosh double put Giants 14-6 up despite Konrad Hurrell’s reply for Leeds.
McIntosh added his third and Senior his second after half-time to establish a 26-6 lead…
