Three years ago, the COVID-19 pandemic was causing havoc in India, but the Sushant Singh Rajput death case was also receiving attention from the media and some online users. Rhea Chakraborty's portrayal as the villain eventually turned the situation into a media spectacle. A number of outrageous accusations—the majority of which lacked any supporting evidence—were made against her in connection with the actor's death. This iconic episode is covered in a key track in the most recent web series, The Trial, which debuted today on Disney+ Hotstar.

In the leading role, Kajol plays a mother trying to support her family after her husband is implicated in a bribery and sex scandal in The Trial. To make ends meet, she must work at a law firm. Every episode depicts Noyonika Sengupta (Kajol) battling a different case. The death of cricketer Mohit Singh, which occurred in mysterious circumstances, is one such case that is quite memorable. Juhi Bhatia, his girlfriend, has been detained on suspicion of aiding suicide. Despite the fact that the deceased is depicted as a sportsman, it is obvious that the Sushant Singh Rajput case served as inspiration for the film's creators.

The 2020 case is also notable because popular news anchor Arnab Goswami tried his best to persuade his viewers that Sushant Singh Rajput was killed by Rhea Chakraborty by presenting them with various theories. Daksh Rathod (Atul Kumar), a character based on him, also treats Juhi in the same way. Daksh Rathod is depicted as working for SNP News while Arnab happens to be the owner of Republic Network.

Bhumi Pednekar’s sister Samiksha reviews Bhakshak: “You’ve outdone yourself and we are so proud of you”

The film follows the life of a fearless investigative journalist who uncovers shocking secrets hidden within a girls’ shelter home.

Netflix’s upcoming release Bhakshak has been called by many as a brave stride. A hard-hitting narrative, the film, directed by Pulkit and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead as Vaishali Singh, along with Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar. The film will be released on 9th February, on Netflix India.

On Tuesday night at the screening of the film, we saw the industry come out to support the film, from Pratik Gandhi, Anand L Rai, and Rhea Chakraborty, along with the cast of the film walking the red carpet. Among the ones who came for the event was Samiksha Pednekar, Bhumi Pednekar’s younger sister who after watching the film was overwhelmed and posted what we can call one of the first few reviews of the film where she also spoke about the reaction of those in the audience.

Written against a sweet picture of Bhumi’s mother hugging her, Samiksha praised Bhumi and the film, “Proud of you Bhumi, you’ve outdone yourself and we are so proud of you. Bhakshak is one of the most important films of our time! A must-watch! Out on Netflix on Feb 9!” She continued to say how there was complete silence at the screening of the film and after the credits rolled, everyone was teary-eyed. She said that ‘Bhakshak’ was one of the best she had watched in a while.

Others joined Samiksha in praising the film like actor Rithvik Dhanjani and producer Tanuj Garg, who also penned notes for the movie.

Directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma, Bhakshak features a powerful ensemble including Sanjay Mishra, and Sai Tamhankar, along with Bhumi Pednekar. The film follows the life of a fearless investigative journalist who uncovers shocking secrets hidden within a girls’ shelter home. The film arrives on Netflix on February 9, 2024.

Why Barkha Dutt interviews Sushant Singh Rajput’s therapist? Why Sushant’s therapist break client confidentiality to give a clean chit to Rhea in middle of investigation?

On 1st August Barkha Dutt posted an interview of Sushant Singh Rajput’s therapist, Susan Walker Moffat, which prompted us to raise serious questions.

Moffat, who is a practising Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist, says that Sushant Singh had Bipolar disorder.

Now serious questions are being raised on her breaking the client confidentiality. In her Defiance, Moffat claimed that it was her “duty” to go public.

Further, in her statement Moffat gave clean chit to Rhea, said “Rhea was nothing but a strong support to Sushant”.

Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend is currently under investigation over her alleged involvement in Rajput’s death. She is now reportedly untraceable and gone into hiding.

In her statement Walker ironically said, “People with mental illnesses and their families need to feel safe from discrimination so that they can get their treatment and support and acceptance they need.”

Now the question here is that how can people feel safe and express themselves, if Psychologist feel it is their moral duty to come forward & break client confidentiality.

Walker further added “In light of the misinformation and conspiracy theories currently raging on social media about Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty, I have decided it is my duty to make a statement. In my capacity as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, I met Sushant and Rhea on several occasions in November and December 2019 and communicated again with Rhea in June of this year”.

Susan Walker gives a clean chit to Rhea and claims that she filled the role of a ‘mother figure’ for Sushant who was severely ill.

Now before the conclusion we need to understand what is Bipolar disorder and why a clinical psychologist is not the best person to deal with it, further we need to understand what is Patient-Client confidentiality.
