Now, since you mentioned Tsu'tey adopts Spider AU I would like to revisit Tsu'tey adopts Spider + the Spellman Siblings.
What are your thoughts?
I remember we talked about him knowing them from the school, and how in a way they are sorta a connection to what he lost. they understand each other, even if they are much younger; they both lost someone that day, them a sister, him a lover.
they're naturally weary of him, as they are most people who aren't spider, and sometimes norm. but I think that they would be young enough to be somewhat easily (all considering their personalities) swayed to accept tsu'tey as some sort of guardian. it would be an evolving bond, much like it is between spider and tsu'tey, so there is a long phase, where tsu'tey isn't their dad, he was just taking care of them (he was totally their dad, they would just never admit it, even to themselves. he would die for them, they knew that, they made them feel safe, and considering their track history with people they love, terrifies them to no end). they trust him with spider pretty quickly, spider had gotten somewhat close to him before he had truly met the siblings and became aware of their bond to the boy. he does know, just by the way they look at him, that he has to be very careful of how he treats the boy, that any perceived malintent, real or imagined, can and will get him in the broiling hot waters of the siblings.
despite all my angst and anger, I totally have this, very fluffy, image in my head, of th siblings building pillow forts for spider and tsu'tey, especially when they were younger (mainly when spider and ro'eyk were younger, cause if the twins only met him when spider was 6-7 at the youngest, they would be in their early teens by the time they got truly comfortable with him) and they would force him to watch their all-time favorite, httyd. tell me tsu'tey wouldn't cry watching that for any multitude of reasons. family sleep piles, cause its sickly sweet.
he defintly pities the kids, once he finds himself in the fatherly position, not only being capable of it, but enjoying it, he wants to take care of this kids who are stuck alone in a world that will be forever foreign to them, in one way or another. he knows that they are fourth stuck in the chasm between na'vi and human; in many ways, they were raised 'human', favoring the skills taught to them in labs, over the more traditional teachings of the na'vi. pair that with their care of spider (which he hates that, that happened to them, they were too young to care for themselves, let alone spider). when he looks at them he sees lost little kids who are only pretending to be brave to survive. so even though he's still navigating *life* on its own, he does try to reach out to them, to not make them outsiders to the bond between him and spider; even if it gets him bit more times then he can count (literally and metaphorically).

So in the Spellman sibling AU, what are all the Na’vi names for the recoms? And how do Jake and Neytiri react to the Siblings using these names?
Personally, I think the Spider and recoms cherish these names and use them more than other names, because it was given to them due to the trust and love that the Siblings have in them.
You are right in that the recoms do cherish the names they were given by the Siblings, specifically Reyzì who was the one who 'chose' the names.
(Reyzì got the names with guidance from Eywa)
Now onto the names.
Quaritch ➳ Txuran Lyle ➳ Lo'eyngan Mansk ➳ Kxusok Z-dog ➳ Zävatsa Prager ➳ Hawnu Ja ➳ Zeyko'ek Lopez ➳ Narame
So to start off, the recoms still use their human names with the Omatikaya and reserve using their na'vi names to when it's just them and the siblings. The names are deeply personal for them, as they represent their connection to the siblings, so the use of them is reserved to only those they are closest to. All the recoms use the Siblings' family name of Le'ey as well.
Now Jake, Neytiri, and the Clan are aware of these names but know better than to use them (outside of any ceremonial occasions.) as the siblings and the recoms are quite possessive of those names.
Overall, the names really solidify the relationship the siblings have with the recoms to Jake and Neytiri.
(Random Fact: Reyzì and Mansk do end up mated/married)

Modern Spellman (Le'ey) Sibling AU
_
To start off, Quaritch wasn't aware of Spider. Paz didn't put him on the birth certificate, and she didn't tell him she got pregnant (not that she could, he was shipped out for a tour before she even knew she was pregnant), but she did have his name written down.
Paz, an Air Force pilot, dies when Spider is two in a freak accident with a new jet. She has no family, and for unknown reasons, Quaritch was never contacted despite her naming him in her will as Spider's dad.
He bounces around foster care, never sticking as foster parents and potential adoptive parents don't want to deal with his 'issues'.
Spider has ADHD & ASD, along with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. He also has some speech delays.
When Spider was 5, he was placed in the same foster home / group home that Ravi, Reyzi, and Ro'eyk were placed in. He was put in the same room at Ro'eyk do to their similar ages, and eventually the normally closed off set of siblings had taken in Spider as their 'brother'.
It was very much a trauma bonding situation, their parents had just died in an accident and prior to that, their parents had been considering adoption, so the siblings latched onto Spider.
Ravi and Reyzi are 11, while Ro'eyk is 7.
All three are on the spectrum, and Ro'eyk is nonverbal about 60% percent of the time.
They are together for two and half years before the first (and final) attempt at separating Spider happens.
Spider (7) is moved to a new foster family, on the other side of the state, and the siblings do not take it well.
This leads to them running away, with Ravi and Reyzi (13) hijacking a car to get Spider back. It leads to a solid month of the siblings driving across the state to get Spider, and then running with him.
Afterwards, thanks to the intervention of their new social worker Norm Spellman and their case aide (the one that handles the legal parts of their case) Grace Augustine, it's set in stone that the four won't be separated again.
(The family court really doesn't want to deal with that again)
Flash forward like 3 years and Quaritch, for some reason, is finally made aware of Spider. (Just so happens to line up with him being moved to a job on base rather than active duty tours)
Now, Quaritch, who is like 47, learns he has a kid and naturally, he goes to get custody because that's his son, only to find out that Spider comes with 3 other siblings.
"They are a package deal marine. They tried separating Spider from them once, and that was enough for them to never do it again, so it's either all 4 or none."
So now Quaritch has to deal with 3 extra kids, two who are 16 and a 12-year-old that barely talks.
not even in their human lives can these kids catch a break.
but the idea of them joyriding past state troopers trying to keep spider with them is golden.

I find it funny I still post most of stuff via your ask box despite having literally made a blog for the exact purpose of not co-opting yours but....eh, here we are.
Anyway, I thought I'd put out a little idea.
If I were to write something for the Spellman Siblings where Miles gets to see some 'family videos' of when the kids were ya know, kids, what kind of moments would you like to see?
Spider would be 4/5 at his youngest in the videos.
we love good old collaboration to get the brain juice's flowing.
reyzi and/or ravi putting spider and ro'eyk down for a nap. spider climbing his first tree, too high in fact, and needing one of his siblings to get him down. I refuse to believe the sibling would allow his hair to get anywhere close to what it was in canon, so hair day. spider falling asleep at the tree of souls. learning tricks with spider on the ikran. the kids recording breakfast, which is a lovely disaster of flour, just about everywhere, messy faces, and giggles. the kids forgetting to turn the camera off and it capturing them asleep in a pile together. ravi calming spider down after he scrapes his knee pretty good. I don't know why ravi feels like such a latin boy to me, but I can't get it out of my head so, ravi reading spider latin. ro'eyk and spider causing mischief in the lab. reyzi teaching spider how to use some of her tamer weapons.
I could do this for days.

Facts about the Spellman Siblings
Another gift for @dirtytransmasc because, yes, I do enjoy spoiling them rotten.
Tumblr media
Most would assume Rävi is the 'leader' of the siblings, and they are almost right. Rävi will make the final decision, but he always gets Reyzì's agreement/approval first.
Reyzì, like her paternal grandmother, is tiretu and thus has a strong natural connection to Eywa.
The Clan, for the most part, is unaware that Reyzì is tiretu.
The siblings as a general rule of thumb don't trust adults.
They have a complicated relationship with Norm, but they do genuinely care about him in their own way.
All the Siblings are Neurodivergent (even Spider).
Ro'eyk doesn't really remember his parents when they were alive, he only knows them from visiting the Tree of Souls.
Rävi is older than Reyzì.
The Twins are 6 years older than Spider, and Ro'eyk is 2 years older.*
Rävi and Ro'eyk's full name is - Rävi/Ro'eyk te Le'ey Tìhun'itan
Reyzì's full name is Reyzì te Le'ey Rohoza'ite
They secretly gave Spider a na'vi name; Ri'tsyìl te Le'ey Tìhun'itan.
No one outside the siblings, the sully kids, and Norm know about the name.
The recoms are told about it once it's clear they are sticking with the Siblings.
The Tìhun'itan in Spider's name is eventually changed to Miles' na'vi name.
The Siblings give the recoms na'vi names, along with their family name of Le'ey.
The siblings don't fully identify as Omatikaya anymore.
Ro'eyk is actually good friends with Lo'ak and Neteyam.
Ro'eyk has a small sorta crush on Neteyam. He is just very relaxing for Ro'eyk to be around.
They actively encourage Lyle to get with Norm.
When the war with the RDA is over (for good) the Siblings and the recoms return to live at the Avatar Compound for a bit before they move into the old village nearby, with a shack for Spider until his Avatar is ready.
Yes, the siblings do manage to get (steal) the tech needed to grow Spider an Avatar.
Reyzì kills Ardmore.
The Siblings (and later Spider as an Avatar) all share a unique shade of amber eyes they inherited from their Mother.
Each of the siblings Ikrans have been trained to accept Spider as a rider, and if needed Spider could ride on each without his siblings.
When the kids were young, Rävi found four orphaned viperwolf pups and brought them home to the Avatar Compound. The siblings did actually manage to train and raise them without being caught for a full four months before Norm walked in on them.
Norm had never ratted any of the siblings out and has covered for them multiple times, including when an experiment went wrong, and he temporarily died.
Spider got the nickname Spider because of the siblings joking he climbed like Spider-Man.

Note
The thing about the Siblings that is the most terrifying is that they never stop learning.
It's like a bottomless pit, their desire to learn everything they can get their grubby blue hands on, and it's unnerving how quickly they pick things up.
Languages are a breeze for them, and as a result their code is constantly evolving.
Old Norse, Ojibwe (Anishinaabemowin), Interslavic (look it up), Trigedasleng (the 100), Gaulish, and Sumerian are just a few of the other languages the Siblings have decided to learn to some degree or another.
Ravi has a particularly unsettling interest in war tactics, military history, and different styles of martial arts. Miles, and others, get to learn the full scope of his knowledge when playing the assault on Bridgehead.
Reyzi took to medicine like a flame to oil, by fiften she had read every medical textbook, research paper, and article in Hell's Gate's system. Topics she took interest in including biomedical engineering, neuroscience, and the process behind creating an avatar. She knows both the human and na'vi body inside and out, and she uses this knowledge to her advantage.
Ro'eyk, to no one's surprise, specialized in chemistry, physics, engineering, and the history of weapons manufacturing. At thirteen, he made his own recreation of Greek Fire, and by fifteen he had taken apart every weapon in Hell's Gate's armoury and put it back together.
Of course, they tend to share their knowledge amongst themselves, and at times you might almost think they have a hive mind.
It's unclear what is more terrifying; the siblings having a hive mind, or that they are so connected that they don't need one.
and with their different forms of memory (photographic and eidetic) they could just about learn everything. they absorb everything, even passing details, and that's whats scary. they can't even leave the kids near the kids near the RDA science pukes, because the kids will remember everything they say and they will use it against them. they also know that if one sibling knows something, they all know it.
the recoms do not get a single moment of rest with those 3, 4 when spider is also in on their bullshit (affectionately dubbed that by the recoms) which is more often than not.
they know one wrong move from them, letting the siblings around the wrong person, anything of the likes of that, and someone's screwed and the blame could easily fall on them.
(also, I totally hc that ravi was a latin boy, he could recite latin in his sleep, it was one of his favorite, normal things to study)

Deliverance I [Spellman Siblings]
Tumblr media
A gift for @dirtytransmasc that has been a long time in the making.
Tumblr media
The first time Mansk sees her smile – a true smile, not a threatening display of fangs – is moments before she tips over the edge of the cliff, and something twists painfully inside him.
Irrational, he’s only known her for a week now, why does the idea of her death bother him so greatly?
The squad rushes to the edge, they just finished claiming all their banshees, and within moments a blur of teal, yellow, and light blue shoots up from below with a whoosh of air that sends a few of his fellow recoms stumbling back.
There’s a ring of laughter – high and free – and Mansk spots her perched on the back of the banshee now flying just above them, and relief fills his chest. Something keeps pulling him towards her, maybe it’s the way the darkness feels less suffocating in her presence or the way she looks at him, eyes knowing but not judging.
Later, when she is flying loops around him and her hand skims the top of his head, Mansk finds himself fighting the urge to reach out and touch.
Tumblr media
“Come on! You’re so slow!”
Reyzì tugged on his arm, giving an exaggerated groan as she tried to hurry him up, pulling Mansk along as they moved towards the old Avatar Compound. Their arrival at Hell’s Gate had seemed to bring out a lighter, almost childish, side of the siblings.
There was no fear, no hesitation. Her hand wrapped around his wrist and pulled.
Mansk allowed himself to be pulled along – the corner of his lips just barely tugging upwards – a bit startled by her brazen touch. It wasn’t comfortable, it never was, in fact, Reyzì’s touch had felt like a balm. It had shocked him the first time, instinctively recoiling when her fingertips had pressed into his forearm through the material of his shirt, expecting the familiar burn and itch that usually came with physical touch, but it never came. They had been climbing up into the floating mountains and he had been reaching for a handhold when she had, without saying a word, directed his hand towards a vine rather than the jutted rock he had been aiming for.
Reyzì had stared him in the eye and retracted her hand, moving it to push on the rock Mansk had been about to grab. It had come loose, tumbling down past them to the ground.
She kept touching him, always telegraphing her movements before making contact and she never flinched. Her touch never burned; it never made him itch in a way that’d usually have him clawing at his skin. It was gentle and firm.
Mansk couldn’t say how much the Avatar Compound had changed for he only had vague recollections of the place, but he knew it had changed. As Reyzì pulled him into the building he could see the touches left behind by the siblings. Every pole, beam, or spare piece of wood had been carved into and decorated with intricate designs; no doubt done by Rävi. Little trinkets and bits of metal or tech were scattered across most surfaces, and Mansk knew they were left behind by Ro’eyk.
The bright colours – garlands made of beads, feathers and leaves, and woven drapes – hung from the ceilings and clung to beams and poles. Paintings decorated the walls; some were just splashes of colour while others depicted beautiful scenes.
Reyzì had dropped his arm, scurrying off to what looked like a radio, and Mansk found himself just standing to the side, eyes taking in the room around him with the occasional glance back to her.
Z-dog looked at him with a smile on her lips, shaking her head lightly before turning back to the little device Ro’eyk was excitedly showing her. Mansk didn’t notice, too consumed with her to even look at his fellow soldier.
“~ Oh, fair and flighty love My aerolite above The only dove I see ~”.
A tune started – happy and light – and he heard the tell-tale sound of a banjo. Reyzì stood in the middle of the room, smiling at him as she began twirling around with the music. Her movements were fluid, moving like she was one with the music and Mansk found himself watching her every movement.
“~ Could you love me more If by the sun and moon, I swore That I would never flee? ~”
Tumblr media
The scream rattled the squad, but it shook Mansk to his core. The frustration, anguish, and anger had torn out of Reyzì’s throat in a way that sounded painful, the tears in her eyes and the heaving of her chest only made something in Mansk’s chest twist.
He wanted to do something – anything, everything – to help her but how? Mansk did not remember ever being comforted, so how was he to comfort her?
Mansk found himself just standing there, a few inches away from where Reyzì sat in the nook of some large and twisted tree roots, unsure of what to do. Mansk could follow orders, and he could take a gun and shoot at a target, but comforting someone was completely foreign to him.
So, he waited.
Waited for Reyzì to show him what she needed.
Then he feels it, a tug on his pants. At his knee is Reyzì’s hand, curling around the fabric of his pants while her gaze stays fixed on something in front of her – far in front of her – and she just gives a light tug.
The space isn’t very big, at least not for two full-grown na’vi. Mansk is about 9’4’’ and Reyzì is closer to 8’10’’, but somehow Mansk manages to squeeze in beside her. Physical contact, even through layers of fabric, that doesn’t make his skin itch or burn, is still new to Mansk but as Reyzì slumps against his side, the weight of her against him feels right.
They stay like that for what seems like hours, the odd sounds of the forest and the squad milling around the camp behind them become background noise; the only thing he focuses on is the weight of Reyzì against his side. Eventually, morning comes, Reyzì’s hand is in his, and Mansk realizes at some point they had fallen asleep.
The Colonel Quaritch was looking at them and his expression was…... soft, and he was smiling too.
Tumblr media
Mansk watches Reyzì.
He finds himself doing that a lot; just watching Reyzì throughout the day, and he frequently finds her watching him in return. At first, he hadn’t been obvious about it, years of training made it easy to watch her without giving it away and the tinted sunglasses helped disguise just where his eyes tended to linger, but after Hell’s Gate Mansk had forgone trying to hide his gaze on her.
Reyzì didn’t seem to mind. In fact, she seemed quite pleased with his watchful gaze on her, smiling at him whenever she’d catch him staring, and would often leave whatever she was doing to approach him.
Though Mansk hadn’t expected Reyzì to come up to him after bathing.
It was a relaxing day for the squad – a rare thing nowadays – and everyone had leapt at the idea of being able to wash off the accumulated grime from their bodies, with the exception of Ro’eyk who had to be wrestled into the river by his siblings.
Being in the military tended to desensitize one to nudity between the communal showering and the lack of privacy in an active warzone, most people had seen their squad naked one way or another, and as such the recoms hadn’t had any issue stripping down in front of each other.
It also seemed that the siblings weren’t much different and Mansk wondered if communal bathing was a na’vi thing too, or if it was unique to the siblings.
Even though Mansk was used to bathing communally, he still preferred privacy and had taken the opportunity to go further upstream, ducking behind a large rock to breathe in solitude. He made quick work of cleaning himself, even cleaned his clothes and laid them out to dry on a rock, and then took the opportunity to relax.
The water was clear – clean; Mansk can’t remember a time when he ever saw truly clean water – and it wasn’t cold either; it was chill but not unpleasant, and as he rested against a rock he enjoyed the sensation of the moving water against his skin. It only came up to his waist, sitting down as he was, and at its deepest parts it only seemed to go up to his chest.
The telltale sound of swishing water disturbed by movement had Mansk’s eyes snapping open and the only thing that kept him from reaching for his weapon – always kept in arms reach – was the familiar scent that drifted over to him.
Reyzì
“Gideon.”
His first name comes out like a sigh, content and comforting in tone, and a small saccharine smile is gracing Reyzì’s features as she says it. It’s been weeks since she started using it but every time it spills past her lips it’s like listening to a hymn.
“Rey.”
She looks beautiful, he thinks, watching as she comes to sit in front of him.
Mansk can’t help but trace over her form with his eyes, taking her in like an art piece, and he can feel how her own eyes trace over him in return.
It should bother him more, knowing that she can easily count the tally marks on his ribcage. All 496 of them.
Reyzì’s hair is still braided but lacks its usual adornments and decorations, nor is it pulled back from her face instead it falls freely over her shoulders to where they end below her breasts. There are scars he hasn’t noticed before, all are old and faded but remain as blue-silver lines across her skin.
There are three small ones, thin scratch-like lines that are only two inches long, on the curve of her hip, and four little puncture scars reminiscent of a bite on her collarbone.
He wonders where she got them, though Mansk has an idea where the bite mark came from.
Her stripes paint a captivating pattern across her skin, stretched over lean but toned muscles, and a distant part of his mind lingers over the parts where their pattern mirrors his own in some spots.
There is a delicate touch to his sternum and a tingling warm spreads from that spot. Leaning forward now, Reyzì softly traces her fingertips over the tattoo on his upper chest – a three-headed angel of death – and for a moment his breath stutters.
“It’s beautiful Gideon.”
Tumblr media
Later, after they’ve changed back into their clothes and made camp for the night, Reyzì has laid herself against his side and she absently plays with the dog tags hanging from his neck.
“Can I have one?”
“Hmm?”
“One of the dog tags; can I have one?”
Mansk blinks down at her for a second, and watches Reyzì rub her cheek against his shoulder while still playing with the metal tags hanging from his neck.
“Mhmm, yeah.”
She rewards him with a saccharine smile, a pleasant-sounding purr coming from her chest.
Tumblr media
Mansk spends the next day watching Reyzì, or more specifically the silver dog tag that is now attached to a braid that dangles right beside her face. If he looks close enough, Mansk can make out his name stamped on the metal.
A low, steady purr rumbles in his chest throughout the day and builds in strength every time he catches sight of Reyzì touching his dog tag in absent thought.
Tumblr media
The near-silent sound of soft and shuffling footsteps approaching his door woke Mansk from his sleep, his body reacting before his mind and in mere seconds he was holding his pistol, aiming it directly at the door to his room.
“Gideon?”
“Rey?”
Reyzì’s amber eyes stared back at him, head peaking past the door and the sight of her was enough to soothe the prickling nerves in his mind.
The Soldier was still close to the surface, ready to take over but it seemed the sight of Reyzì relaxed him as well.
She was already slipping into the room before Mansk had even fully lowered the gun, and he watched as she softly closed the door behind her with great care before turning back to face him. Reyzì was clad in nothing more than an oversized shirt – one she had likely stolen off someone in the squad – and what looked to be a spare set of Z-dog’s gym shorts.
“I couldn’t sleep, I was hoping I could stay with you?”
Mansk’s throat bobbed for a second, unsure how to answer in the moment. Reyzì had taken to sleeping beside him whenever she wasn’t watching Spider sleep – to make sure the kid’s mask didn’t malfunction or slip off during the night – but this was the first time she had asked to join Mansk.
Reyzì never did seem comfortable staying overnight at Bridgehead and he couldn’t blame her for it for he equally despised having to return here.
“I’d….feel safer, sleeping with you.”
Mansk didn’t speak, he couldn’t, so he instead chose to nod and shift, making room for Reyzì on the bed between himself and the wall it was pressed against. He watched her silently pad over to the bed before crawling into it, tucking herself against his side as Mansk moved to lay back down, dragging the blanket over them as he did.
It was only now, as the warmth of Reyzì’s body pressed against his side, did Mansk remember he hadn’t worn a shirt to sleep. Before her, Mansk had never found skin-to-skin contact pleasant but now he found himself craving her touch and the soothing balm it brought.
The light pull on his arm was all Mansk needed to turn over, curling himself around Reyzì who tucked her head beneath his chin in the hollow of his shoulder and neck, and slotted herself into the curves of his own body like she was always meant to be there.
It was like a puzzle piece slotting into place, or two broken pieces made whole.
Sleep was never something that came easy to Mansk, it only was made worse by the memories of his time in Black Ops, but the steady rise and fall of Reyzì’s chest and the low, soft barely there purr lulled him to sleep faster than any sedative he had ever been given.
Tumblr media
Blood was a viscous fluid; thick, heavy, and burning hot against his skin.
The scent of iron clogged his nose and the bitter taste of it was like syrup on his tongue, choking him as it dripped down his throat.
“Mif'letzet.”
Screams; bloodcurdling and shrill, piercing into his ears like ice-picks. There was no break, no stopping for breath, the screams were never ending as they grew in into a symphony of agony and pain.
“Budelis.”
He can feel it – the bones breaking beneath his hands; that glide of sharpened steel through flesh; the rattling of their chest as they screamed and begged for mercy that would not be given, could not be given.
“Şeytan.”
There’s the phantom pain of hands upon his skin; nails tearing and clawing across legs and arms as they tried to pull him down, the deathly coldness of their skin contrasting against the molten blood that covers him.
“Qātil.”
Tumblr media
“Ma’Gideon.”
Mansk comes back to himself slowly, his body not quite his own, and underneath him is Reyzì. His hand is on her throat, not choking but still there and a bitter coldness envelopes him at the sight.
He wants to yank himself away, tear his hand from her neck and run, putting as much distance between them as he can, but the hand that grips the back of his neck holds him there like an anchor.
“You didn’t hurt me, it is alright.”
There are more whispered assurances, soft words meant to comfort him, and Mansk can’t do anything. Reyzì slides her three fingers into the space between his four – they fit perfectly – where they remain against her neck. Mansk can’t meet her eyes, but he can feel them staring at him in a way that feels like Reyzì is examining his very soul.
In slow careful movements, Reyzì gently tugs his hand away from her throat, repositioning her hand in his as she lays them against the bed. On the back of his neck, the pressure increases minutely as Reyzì guides his face to the space between her shoulder and jaw. Mansk can’t find it in himself to resist, letting himself relax into her embrace until his entire body is on top of her own and almost every part of them is touching.
There’s no itch, no burn and urge to claw at his skin where they meet but rather a feeling of soothing calm blooms from each point of contact.
Reyzì is humming a song – its tune soft and gentle – against the crown of his head as nimble fingers stroke the skin of his neck just below his queue, and fatigue is washing over Mansk like the incoming flow of a tide, strong and gentle in equal measure. There’s no fighting it, not while his face is tucked into Reyzì’s neck and his body is wrapped in her warm embrace, and as the sleep overtakes his senses Mansk feels the ghost of a kiss press against his forehead.

Incendiary [Spellman Siblings]
Tumblr media
Ro’eyk was seven, just about to turn eight, the first time he properly met Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk’itan, the oldest son of Toruk Makto. He had known about him, everyone heard about the children of Toruk Makto, and he had seen the younger boy briefly when his father would bring him and his younger siblings to Hell’s Gate, but up until Ro’eyk’s little brother decided to befriend the children of Toruk Makto, he had never interacted with Neteyam.
Neteyam was quiet – thoughtful, sweet, kind – which Ro’eyk liked best. He did not like people who were loud, they made him irritable and after a while it would get too much for him, but Neteyam was quiet, his voice never made Ro’eyk feel as if he wanted to tear off his skin or rip out his ears.
Spider was loud, a constant buzz of energy that never died out, but Spider was his brother – his Ri’tsyìl – and Ro’eyk could handle dealing with Spider’s noise.
Ro’eyk liked the other Sully kids too but not as much as he did Neteyam. Lo’ak was fun, always up to something and Ro’eyk did enjoy engaging in mischief with the second son of Toruk Makto and his little brother, but he was also loud and reckless. Kiri was…. Kiri, she was like Reyzì in a sense with her connection to Eywa, but she was quiet, and her presence was soothing at times. Ro’eyk did not remember Grace, Kiri’s mother, but his siblings were close to her prior to her death, and so they cared for Kiri.
Tuktirey was a child, an annoying one, but Spider liked her, and she was Neteyam’s younger sister, so Ro’eyk tolerated her presence.
Over the years both Rävi and Reyzì have teased him over his fondness for Neteyam, the only person outside his siblings whose company Ro’eyk ever sought out, but it wasn’t until he was sixteen that Rävi called it a ‘crush’.
If Ro’eyk threw a smoke bomb at his elder brother, it was between him, Rävi, and the lingering green smoke stains.
It took some time – approximately three months – for Ro’eyk to come to terms with the fact that his feelings toward Neteyam weren’t wholly platonic. Even after admitting to himself that his brother might be correct in saying that Ro’eyk had a ‘crush’ on Neteyam, he refused to apologize to Rävi regarding the smoke bomb incident as he still wasn’t pleased about the forced emotional revelation that his brother’s teasing brought on.

“Why is the ceiling green?”
Ro’eyk stared at Norm from where he was perched on a lab chair.
“I threw a smoke bomb at Rävi, the dye was too concentrated.”
Norm, for all his faults as their guardian, had the redeeming quality of not questioning the things him and siblings did very often, as well as covering for them more often than not. The human man only squinted his eyes at the green smoke rings that stained the floor and pressed his lips into a thin line.
“How concerned should I be?”
“Three.”
“Hm, ‘kay.”
Norm left an old rug outside the lab the next day to cover up the stains.
_
Ro’eyk never mentions his crush to anyone, especially not to Neteyam, but his sister finds out all the same. He has long since accepted that there is very little that his sister does not notice, and truthfully as a boy he believed that Reyzì was all knowing like Eywa and he isn’t entirely sure she isn’t.
Now he listens to her screaming, and how it echoes throughout the caves of High Camp, as he flipped a small incendiary bomb – filled with his own special recreation of Greek Fire – through his fingers in a poor attempt at calming the burning anger in his chest and the growing itch to pick at his fingers until they bleed.
Spider had gone out with Lo’ak, Kiri, and Tuk, but he hadn’t returned with them. He was taken – captured – by some kind of reborn avatar version of his biological father, and Jake Sully wished to flee, having no intention to save their brother who he allowed to be captured.
Ro’eyk briefly wondered if they would return Spider to them if they presented the RDA with Jake Sully’s head.
“I am sorry that I could not save Spider.”
Neteyam didn’t flinch when Ro’eyk’s amber eyes met his, which was admirable considering very few could hold his gaze without flinching or cowering, and his fingers still for a moment as Ro’eyk stares at the boy in front of him.
He doesn’t speak – rarely does in moments like this, words too heavy to pass his tongue as his mind whirls with images of fire and destruction – for a long stretch of time as he simply stares at Neteyam, the boy who holds his affections, before he reaches blindly into one of his pants many pockets and pulls out a small device that he turns over in his hand before handing out to Neteyam.
“What will this do?”
“Let’s me know where you are. Only I can track it.”
_
Ro’eyk checks his pager nightly, reading out the string of coded coordinates in silence, and wonders absently about whether Neteyam has taken well to the sea or if he longs to return to the forest.
“You worry.”
Rävi sits across from him with Spider tucked against his side and fast asleep. Ro’eyk eyes the recombinants below them, most asleep on the ground apart from the one that piqued their sister’s interest, before turning his gaze back to his elder brother.
“You worry about Tarsem.”
“I liked you better when you didn’t pay attention to anything that didn’t explode or catch fire.”
_
“Ro’eyk!”
It took much of his self-control to not last out at the weight that slammed into him, but the aggravation that came with the unexpected physical touch faded when Ro’eyk looked down to see a familiar face grinning up at him.
“Neteyam.”
It takes him a moment but Ro’eyk eventually gathers himself enough to bring up his left hand to clasp over the back of Neteyam’s neck – like how Rävi does to him and Spider – and he grasps the younger man’s upper arm with his right hand. It’s not a hug, Ro’eyk was never one for physical affection, but for Neteyam he is willing to try.
“Tell me about the sea.”

Spellman Siblings
So the Spellman Siblings AU is pretty much me and @dirtytransmasc brainchild at this point, we have like 4 different threads dedicated to these traumatized little murder gremlins.
I'm working on some stuff for the AU, and hopefully, it should come out soon.
In the meantime, to give them a break and to keep my ADHD engaged with this AU, I am welcoming any and all asks related to the Spellman Siblings AU.

neteyam and Ro'eyk are going to be the only things on my mind for the next week and it's your fault.

Just wait, I have a sorta idea for Rävi and let's just say that neither son of Tìhun ends up in a hetero relationship.
