Just finished EarthBound again, this time running it on RetroArch with RetroAchievements! Such a fun way to re-experience this game, easily still in my top 5 games of all time! (2 of those 5 are Mother games, so you can see where my priorities lie, ahaha!)

I miss CRTs a lot. I never realized until I was learning electronic repair that these light boxes were entirely wiped from my life with the advent of hdtv. It's just not practical to have one in the house anymore.

The CRT-lottes-fast filter really scratches that itch. The bowed screen feels much more authentic with SNES. I even feel like the controls are more natural.

Two options at the end (Kain is not going to sacrifice himself for the good of the world, obviously)

I like Kain in the 2D art of the game but damn he's ugly in the 3D animations, even the old Kain from Soul Reaver looks good in comparison (handsome old man)

I didn't do it so well :S

I'll probably play blood omen 2, I never played that game and it makes me curious.

I had to play with retroarch on my tablet, since my mom burned all my old games when I was a kid....yeah with fire!, I felt so bad because I was a really good student and only played occasionally, but she saw me playing silent hill games at 1:00 a.m. (perfect atmosphere)
