#Remus sandets

So the new Sanders Asides episode dropped and I have a lot of thoughts (spoiler warning!):

Logan needs more support! The irony that it’s Remus who’s working his way into Logan’s mind and pointing out that Thomas is the one ignoring him is not lost on me. Our boy needs listening to, he needs to complete his arc already.

And judging by the end scene, everyone else needs more on their arcs too: no one’s arc is finished but that makes sense, since C!Thomas is still growing and learning too. I’m still intrigued on how they’ll balance all the arcs though. Who will complete one first, if at all?

Orange! Logan’s eyes go orange when he gets angry… therefore the orange side is Logan turned dark? I thought (and still think) this would be a wild head canon shared by a surprisingly large percentage of the fandom, but no, it might come true! I don’t know what to think of it but boy it’s going to be good-

If the above is correct, I can only wonder how long this has been in the works for. We’ve had hints about orange for a long while, if I remember correctly.

Can Virgil please start supporting and not attacking the sides, especially Patton, please? I miss their duo and that end credits scene broke me slightly (but I do understand why it was necessary).

Logan and Remus stans rightfully have been given content! Their dynamic is so good and complex; it works so well to flesh out their individual characters because they are such antithesis’s of each other. It reminds me of Janus and Patton.

Speaking of Janus and Patton, Logan’s eyes turning orange remind me of Lily-Padton: do all the light sides have an angry alter ego type thing? Why? Is it to show that it’s all grey, and no aspect is truly always light or dark?

We saw the return of Nico! In live action form! Honestly, it made me so happy, even if his character is confined to the Asides. It’s great to see how the series is developing.

End credit thoughts: the shared mythology references? Brilliant. Janus sitting on the tree and eating the apple as another biblical reference? Exquisite. I love symbolism.

The cinematography seems so professional in this episode! They’re stepping up their game and doing things differently.

Getting nerdy here, the set design was crucial to this episode (given the elaborate schemes Remus constructed) and I think it was executed very well. It seems mostly realistic, with a side of exaggerated comedy which is expected from SaSi.

I’ll probably add more onto this later, but these are my initial thoughts! I’d love to hear yours in the reblogs or comments too!
