I was worried Reg wouldn't make it but it turns out I didn't complete Octavia's romance so they're both alive.

Actually, it seems that there might be one more issue. According to the Kingmaker wiki, if you chose the option "[Hold Tristian] Let me take you home" during Betrayer's Flight (I've given up trying to avoid stating spoilers) it automatically sets specifically Octavia and Regongar's romance counters to [-1:-1]. I don't know if it would do the same thing for all love interests, and the wiki editor only had points with them so only experienced a change in that, or if for some reason it exclusively affects them, but--assuming that the wiki editor wasn't just lying for, I don't know why, I have no idea how this would benefit them--this is deeply weird, because as fall as I know, the game doesn't otherwise check the values of non-secret romances after the first Stage Increase event; I have no idea what utility programming this in would be. I also have no idea how you could code this accidentally. Then again, I have only pretty minimal knowledge of coding...

I suppose I'll have to check their values after completing Betrayer's Flight, to see what (if anything) happens.

I wish you could toggle Kingmaker's jealousy off with Bag of Tricks, like you can with Wrath and Toybox...Instead I'm diving through old reddit threads and the kingmaker wiki (which has a surprising amount of in-game dialogue and code recorded in it) to try to find out how much and how frequently I'll have to fuck with the romance counters to be able to do Octavia + Regongar and Tristian's romances simultaneously. I've been able to figure out that it completely stops comparing them once you reach Stage 3, because of course the code doesn't expect you to have fucked with Stage 2, so that'll make my life a bit easier.
