I learned how to make paper today

I finished the tissue paper art. I'm not sure if that is the name of the technique, I just saw a video once. I used the excess to make colourful paper.

So, I made this texture a long time ago, but I still use it every time I draw on PC. The original is 4000x4000, this is just a closeup, and it tiles cleanly.

Basically, I wanted a good recycled paper-feeling texture with nothing that would distract my eyes like stray fibers the real stuff has.

I made some paper a week ago, and now that's it's dry I've bound it into a little sketchbook!

I used a french link stitch for the middle and just a kettle stitch for the ends. I decided to add some beads to the binding for the aesthetic lol

I used a ball of paper that was bunched up inside a bag I bought to give it shape. That's why it was pretty damaged and crinkly but it was more or less a pretty accurate square so I decided to try to fold it 😂 (Aslo I added a little square on one of the corners because it was torn).
