🗺️✨👻 ← trying to choose ones that might give you a chance to talk about stuff you don't mention as often. but who can say.

🗺️- podcast world you’d most like to live in I feel some of my favourite podcast alternate worlds would be fun to visit but perhaps not very fun to live in e.g. Greater London in Victoriocity, Red Line in Greater Boston. And I'm still not really sure whether I'd rather live in the clean-energy fossil-fuel-free world of Wolf 359 at the cost of everything that Goddard Futuristics is getting up to. In the end, I think I'll go with the world of Monstrous Agonies - it's about the same level of fucked up as our current world, but with many communities of magical and fantastical creatures, which I think would make life more interesting even if I was still human myself. I really like the worldbuilding in that show. It's a great example of a show that uses fantasy as a metaphor for various kinds of real-world marginalisation while also explicitly including those real-world marginalised identities within the world of the story.

👻- a podcast that scares you I feel kind of bad saying this because I am not caught up with listening to it, but the first one that came to mind was The Silt Verses. Honestly it's probably because it creeps me out so successfully that I haven't gotten round to listening to the end of Season 2. Twisted saints and gods, morally ambiguous protagonists, the violence of the state and capitalism, horrifying worldbuilding presented as the accepted state of the world, the right unnerving blend of telling the listener what's going on and leaving it to the imagination from how it sounds… I should catch up with it.

✨- podcast in a different genre than what you usually listen to I initially didn't know what to say for this because I honestly have no clue what genre I usually listen to. I feel like most of my favourite shows defy simple genre categorisation in some way (which I do think is something that the podcast medium is particularly well-suited for, due to a combo of the indie approach, the less rigid audience expectations, and the ability to do weird shit in audio that wouldn't work as well in other mediums). But a show that I've been enjoying recently that's a bit different from my usual fare is Off Book: The Improvised Musical, which is what it says on the tin - each episode the hosts and usually a guest improvise a musical from scratch. It's not audio drama as such, but somehow they always seem to pull characters and a story from nowhere, and it's funny and often surprisingly moving.

𝟷. 𝙳𝚊𝚏𝚏𝚘𝚍𝚒𝚕 (𝚋𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚡 𝚏𝚎𝚖!𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛, 𝚎𝚡𝚎𝚜-𝚝𝚘-𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜)

I think it goes without saying but this project was my first baby and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written. It started as self-indulgent practice for writing and when I posted it, it turned into my most popular fic and it received so much love that I was rendered speechless. 🤧✨ Uhhh this is about hyping your self up so.......... I think I did a really good job setting up the world and plot of this fic oh and the characters. I really enjoyed writing them and the romance between the characters. I liked showing a romance that wasn’t rainbows and perfect loves, this love was messy and broken and instead of fixing it, I wanted to show that it could be shaped into something new something better for the two people involved. I liked showing a more raw side of love that I think exists. Anyways I love Daffodil so it had to be the first thing I put on here.

𝟸. 𝚁𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚍𝚢 (𝚔𝚒𝚖 𝚜𝚎𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚖𝚒𝚗 𝚡 𝚏𝚎𝚖!𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛, 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑!𝚊𝚞)

This is one of my favorite entries of The Lost Luna. I enjoyed creating a world of magic and wonder. I love this story that I made because it made me close my eyes and picture myself within this magical world, the magic market, people that look like us and people that definitely don’t. It was just so easy to imagine this world and picture it clearly in my mind, it was so fun and it’s a perfect example of my love for worldbuilding a fantasy story. 

𝟹. 𝟹:𝟶𝟷𝚙𝚖 (𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚎𝚏!𝚋𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚡 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜!𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛)

This one is probably not what you expected but I really love this one. It’s short yeah, but the reason I love it so much on top of it just being so cute, is cause it just literally popped into my head and I posted it on the same day. Like I was so sure of it and so ready to post it (although it did end up getting edited) I love how writing it made me feel. <3 I loved that I was so inspired and so happy that I just wanted to write the idea and get it out as soon as possible. 

𝟺. 𝚁𝚒𝚜𝚎 𝙰𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗 (𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚓𝚒𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚐 𝚡 𝚏𝚎𝚖!𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛, 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑!𝚊𝚞)

Another Lost Luna story hehe I really love this one, again because of the lore I built up. I think the tension was pretty good albeit it was short, I liked the whole concept I created with witch hunters and the thought of them reviving witch burnings. Plus the possible romance, and the characters that I made. I really wanna rep the whole series tbh check out The Lost Luna, my ot8 witch!skz series (shameless plug) 

𝟻. 𝙱𝚛𝚘𝚔𝚎𝚗 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚜𝚜 (𝚖𝚊𝚍 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐!𝚋𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚡 𝚏𝚎𝚖!𝚛��𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛)

Although I haven’t TECHNICALLY posted any of it, Broken Compass is one of my favorite things I’ve ever written. As I work on it, and create the world, the characters, the plot, everything, I fall more in love with it. It reminds me that I can totally and utterly fall for what I do, I love when you can fall in love with your own works/ideas, so this has to be one of the biggest passion projects I’ve ever done in my life and I’m happy it is. This world is amazing and I hope I can convey the depth and love I have for it.

𝟼. 𝙻𝚒𝚎 𝚃𝚘 𝙼𝚎 (𝚋𝚊𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚡 𝚏𝚎𝚖!𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛, 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑!𝚊𝚞)

I had to add one more because this has been some of the most fun I’ve had writing. Even when I’ve had small blocks with it, creating all these different characters and different pieces of lore made the process so much fun, blocks and all. I loved painting all the different scenes, and even getting a little carried away with the descriptions of things lol It was just so much fun to take the time to work things out, it helped me learn that not everything comes very quickly, sometimes these kinds of things take time, and it’s not something you have to be pissed about or frustrated with. Just give it time, maybe step back from it, and you’ll get back in the zone with it. That’s what this story taught me ^^

huh, it is interesting to actually write down and note what I love about my works, maybe I’ll do this again sometime!! check all of these works out btw >v<b I think I did a pretty good job pats my own back 💜✨
