Note
I have another idea, expanding on the last one.
A series of Stacie dolls as beloved little girl characters from classic children's novels.
I used to have a book of paper dolls with that theme, titled Favorite Storybook Characters, which I adored. I'd want the lineup to be the same as that paper doll set, with just one difference:
Alice (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland), Dorothy Gale (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz – the book, not the movie), Wendy Darling (Peter Pan), Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables), Mary Lennox (The Secret Garden), Heidi (Heidi), Pollyanna Whittier (Pollyanna), and Sara Crewe (A Little Princess).
(The paper doll set had Becky Thatcher from Tom Sawyer instead of Sara Crewe, but I'd substitute Sara in this doll collection because she's a heroine in her own right, not just a boy's love interest.)
If we want to expand the lineup to ten, we could also add Amy March (Little Women) and Rebecca Randall (Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm).
Is there a concept you'd like to see for a Barbie doll that hasn't been done before or only at a small level?
Maybe a series of Barbie dolls based on opera heroines. They once did it for ballet, with the Classic Ballet Series that offered dolls of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker, Odette from Swan Lake, Juliet from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, and others. So why not opera too?
I'd like then to release at least 10 dolls. For example:
Carmen (Carmen), Violetta (La Traviata), Pamina, the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Mimi, Musetta (La Bohéme) Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Tosca (Tosca), Cio-Cio-San (Madame Butterfly), and Rosina (The Barber of Seville)
I'd also suggest Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) because she's so iconic, but Mattel probably wouldn't want to sell a Barbie in a bloodstained wedding gown.
It will probably never happen because the market would be so niche, but I'd buy them.
