Cube:

Half-monster, freakishly tall and strong (even by cube standards) because of it

Has a rather soft voice, you know when he’s angry because that softness goes outta the window

He’s muscular, but not in the dehydrated “sexy” sense, but in the actual strongman sense

WILL crush your back in a hug

Iris:

Posh twat /aff

Morally questionable at the beginning, gets sense knocked into him and is now trying to unlearn some harmful rhetoric he learned growing up

Paradise’s most hated man /hj

Malewife

Seems like he’d be a tea drinker only, actually prefers coffee

Wasn’t revived by Calcifer/The Reaper, was instead revived by Prism/the Trees due to being needed as a caretaker (Calcifer refused to revive him)

Southern. She’s southern you can’t convince me otherwise

The only competent caretaker

Lowkey shit at cooking, can make a mean apple pie though

Reckless due to the natural polygon durability boost, worries the shit out of the others on a daily basis

Kind of a cryptid, will appear behind you ominously and scare you when he asks if you want casserole for dinner

Aromantic, but not asexual (I mean. Britt never said anything about his sexual orientation, just his romantic one, so I can hc him as aroallo if I want) (besides, he’s got a canon son lmao)

Likely autistic, but has lived for longer than the concept of autism in society so therefore he can’t possibly have it (he very much can)

Very flat voice, rarely has tonal changes unless he’s like. Really feeling an emotion

Gossip machine, will find out the latest tea and spill it to her friends

NOFX with @vicwomg was the most memorable since we got to be on stage with the band the whole time. Taylor was the best though, followed by Annabelle Chairlegs and Ruth Radelet and Agar Agar (all of which were part of the Psyched Radio festival, can't wait for next year), and also all the Curling shows were a blast, especially the one with Plash. Wurm Food

Xavier is a normal 20 something with no goals or ambitions who is vaguely failing his way through life. When a series of unusual dreams lead him to a clearing in the woods with a strange, carved mask that seems to call to him, he is awakened to his new destiny as the grim reaper.

Worldbuilding/Plot

Grim reapers in this universe don't function as the literal reapers of souls, instead they act as intermediaries between the living and the souls of the dead. Xavier is the newest in a line of Reapers before him--his direct predecessor being a man called Jack, of Victorian English nature.

Xavier's main goal at the outset of the story is to learn how to use his new powers while fighting against Izuun Malgaus, a powerful demon playing the role of a ringmaster at a nearby circus. Along the way, he makes friends with the living and the dead, including...

Characters

-Jack (Aliases: The Man Jack, Blackjack)- Xavier's stern and stoic mentor and his earliest link to the spirit world. Jack is a man of his trade, and didn't plan on ending his career anytime soon. He was caught unawares by Malgaus and killed in action, leaving him scrambling to find a replacement.

-Brittany (Aliases: Britt, Frankengeek)- The first ghost who Xavier helps. A teenager murdered by her abusive family and exploited in the worst way possible, she appears to Xavier and demands his help. Afterwards she sticks around as a powerful part of the team.

-Izuun Malgaus (Aliases: Master Malgaus, His Highest Lordship Izuun Malgaus IV)- Playboy prince of the demon world, Malgaus spends his days tricking people into becoming his servants for all eternity or running his circus. A simple, if evil, guy.

-The Twins- Malgaus's right (and left!) hand agents. Becoming a demonic thrall isn't easy (it does mean giving up your soul and dying by your own hand, for one), but these two make it look that way. They were groomed into his gang with promises of power and escape from their circumstances, and are now trapped for all time in a half-state of existence. Also they do trapeze.

Britt's pov:

It was dark where I was as I walked around wondering where I was, I thought there was a chance I was dead. Mentally I was screaming at myself for being so stupid and throwing my life away when Desmond still needed me. I figured though I was free of being tied to the King of the shadows but then I had to put my hands on my arms. It was cold and this wasn't what I expected when it came to the way things should be.

My soul hasn't broken..this isn't the place reapers go when they die. I thought where am I?

I started running trying to find a way out of here to wake up knowing that somehow I was still connected to my body. Suddenly I felt like I couldn't move and I was held by shadows forced to kneel and I saw this shadow heading towards me.

Now...what? I thought

The shadow came closer till it formed a man who resembled Atem only middle aged and older than him. I tried to get free but he walked over and put a hand under my chin. I felt disgusted for the first time in my life and part of me realized when Atem touched me the way he did I didn't feel disgusted by it.

"Well look what we have here. A reaper." The man said

"My lord, do not harm that reaper." A woman said appearing before him "She hasn't even given the current king an heir." "She shouldn't have swallowed the stone." The man said then looked at me "You must be my grandson's wife, you better be worth keeping alive and do your duties as a wife."

Suddenly blood came rushing down on us and I recognized the smell of this blood. I'd smelled it before but not really paid attention to it but I couldn't tell where I smelled it before. The wind was changing and I looked up at the man and woman in front of me.

"Your grandsons blood, he must have fed her the blood to appease your soul your highness." The female said

"He's working so hard to save this reaper, one who is of the other kingdom." He said

Again he looked at me and he had a look of wonder almost. I didn't understand it but he seemed to have this look like what did his grandson see in me. I questioned that myself sometimes even though I remembered the heated kiss my husband gave me before going in the party.

He probably is really angry with me about what I've done and yet here I am face to face with his grandfather..still I haven't been fair to him since the wedding... I thought

"Time to wake up girl." The grandfather said as he was disappearing and so was the woman.

"Wake..up?" I said questioningly

Suddenly I woke up breathing heavy and looked around with everything going on. I wondered if anything happened when I felt my hand was in water. I expected I broke it as I removed it but the pain wasn't as bad as I had considered. I flexed my fingers some to see just how much I could get it to move and I flinched some.

That hurts just a little. I thought

"You're awake." Atem's familiar voice said "How long was I out?" I asked

"Awhile." Atem Said as he approached me and I saw him make a cut on his hand and offer it to me. "Drink." "I'm good, your blood saved me." I said

Atem didn't take my words for face value as he made me drink some of it and I pushed his hand away and wiped my mouth. I hated the fact he was going to do this to me and I hated he didn't listen to me. I saw him lick the wound like it was nothing and saw it heal easily.

"The blood appeases my grandfather's stone." Atem said "yeah, I know." I said

My words caught his attention and he looked at me. I used my good hand to rub my arms feeling chills knowing that the stone was still within me. I needed it out and I had to figure out how to get it out. I never planned to swallow it in the first place but I just felt compelled to swallow it like I didn't have a choice.

"What happened?" Atem asked

"I was somewhere...I thought I was dead but I wasn't." I said not looking at him "There was a man there..he was going to attack me but then this woman got in front of him convinced him not to harm me." I added but refused to look at him.

Atem made me look at him and he must have saw fear in my eyes cause that's what I felt as I felt him hug me. "You're safe here Britt." Atem said

I questioned how he could be so calm after everything I'd put him through since the wedding. How he didn't see me in such a way after what happened. I put a hand on my head knowing I should have died but I didn't due to what happened.

"How did I not die?" I asked

"I jumped after you, you are quite a troublemaker." Atem said

There it is.. I thought

Suddenly the door came open and we looked up seeing Dante, I saw he was concerned by the look in his eyes. Atem didn't seem to like how he came in the room without permission. Dante was breathing heavy and looked at me concerned.

"Are you crazy?! Wait, I can answer that. Yes. You did crazy things in the human realm that I thought you'd die." Dante said

"I wasn't intentionally trying to die at the party." I said

"I would hope not, I don't know how I would tell Des if something happened to you." Dante said

Atem stood up having a hand on my arm and I knew he was territorial. Dante and I shared a connection in the human realm and that was something he couldn't deny. Des was here and the symbol of the connection we had. Still I was married to Atem now and he wasn't one to share.

"While I respect your concern for her, mind your place Dante." Atem said with authority "She is mine, she is not in the human realm to you."

I wanted to yell or scream at him that he shouldn't talk to Dante like that but what really could I do. I knew there was so much more at stake if I said anything. My visitations with Des could be cut short and Dante could get in more trouble than all this was worth.

"Do you have anything to put in? I see that look on your face that you want to say something Britt. Don't play coy with me." Atem said

"Well he wanted to look out for me and I appreciate that he is wanting to help out even if you don't want him to." I said

My words seemed to cut him off guard and he didn't seem to know what to do when it came to my words. I didn't deny that I was his wife now but I did have an opinion on his behavior. I questioned just what he was up to when it came to all of this. What did he want out of me besides my heart it seemed.

I tried to get up from the bed and walk past him but my balance was not there. I wasn't even able to figure out what was going on as I wobbled around. I felt my arms being held up as I looked at them. Atem had my right arm and Dante had my left arm keeping me from falling.

"Apologies Britt but you can't even walk." Dante said

"I want to go to my room." I said

"This is your room now, you are in no condition to go back to that other room and you can hardly stand when it counts most. I think it's best you stay here with me." Atem said

I struggled to get my arm free and he wouldn't budge when he kept a firm hold of me. I could feel It that I really was not going to be able to manage on my own for some time. The fall and the stone were still effecting me.

Will I have to stay in here after all? I thought

Brick: So where on for Saturday? This is all headcannon wise btw~ During one of there longer break ups both Princess and Brick found themselves in new relationships. Princess with Brute from the PowerPunks (who was attending Reaper High while being expelled from Inverse High for a multitude of reasons) and Brick with one of the Crust cousins, who originally he only hung around to annoy Princess and the two bonded. What can he say, Brick likes a feisty woman (or being yelled at). -- This was just for fun and while I was originally going to put Chad with Princess (as that ship is also cute, I wanted to draw more Princess x Brute, and Brute in the RH uniform)
