I’m reading Under The Whispering Door rn and I am suffering
#pdf.chatterbox#Y’all I cannot express to you my disappointment#the first few chapters were SO GOOD#They were FUNNY and INTERESTING… WHAT HAPPENED!!!#Really tho ever since we got to the magic tea room or whatever it’s gotten so boring#like… the main character is a ghost now!!! he’s realizing he spent his entire life working and died totally alone!!!#why are we focusing on needless emotional drivel that doesn’t have the foundation to mean anything yet!!!#Really tho I’m on like chapter 9 and characters are trauma bumping their backstories left and right and I’m suppose to care because why??#I don’t know these people!! I don’t care about them I’m the slightest!!!#ironically I care most about Wallace and he’s suppose to be the douchbag who needs to be reformed!#hot take: he’s the only character making sense to me right now#AND EVEN HE IS BEINF WRITTEN POORLY AT THIS POINT… AGH#These characters just keep having unearned emotional revelations and at this point I’ve read the SAME emotional speech like 5 times#I’m gonna claw my eyes out if someone says “you can take your time Wallaceyou don’t have to d anything you don’t want you it’s a process :)#ONE MORE TIME
