I made my custom design with perler beads and I was heavily inspired by his GBA sprites!

A quick context for this, set between Rayman Origins and Legends:

After 84 years of Rayman's disappearance, Betilla had more than enough of the chaos surrounding the Glade and the nightmares taking over. She put her sorrows aside and set everything to create a new hero, this time entirely by her own hand. Because the Council was not kind during the creation of Rayman, she did not trust their judgement over this descition, and was not willing to put her sisters at risk of any punishment over "pety moral conflicts". She asked for the help of yellow Lums for this hero, and with their sacrifice, Sprite was born. However, this did not remain a secret for long, and the council, furious, set a trial for Betilla for once again toying with forces nobody could quite understand. After many long and tedious days of arguing, the council decided Betilla's fate. She would be allowed to raise the baby boy for exactly a year from now, and the following week after his first birthday, Betilla would be locked away, forever. Betilla did not fight back, she would ensure the kid was happy for the little time they would have together. She couldn't stop his or Rayman's fate, she knew deep down that hers and their duty was over any feelings she had for the kids. But if there was one thing she could ensure, is for them to know she would always love them unconditionally. If there was ever any safe place for them, it would be in her heart. And she prayed they would never forget this.

I drew for a guy like... way too many Kid Klown sprites in my Rayman Chibi style. I think around 64 of these. All of them for free. And I worked on like all of them before midnight because I had frickin insomnia, so I stayed up until then to finish them.

Whoever received my Kid Klown sprites, those are for you. All of them. Use them as best as you can for a video or something 👍

i just thought about sprite meeting ramon for the first time after being raymans maid/housekeeper for years and seeing his home basically deteriorate over time andOugh it makes me SO SAD TO THINK ABOUT .DONT EVEN JOKE LAD like what if sprite gives ramon a place to stay if he hypothetically gets locked or kicked out of his penthouse .ehat if sprite is just there for him emotionally just because ramon needs a real friend .im so unwell about them its crazy theyve been on my mind for DAYS .....

im still working on the rayman starbound mod ... (last post)

i went and redid all of the globox sprites to be 2px taller which i feel like atcually had a big positive effect on how these guys look now. now theyre ACTUALLY about the same height as the humanoid species. thats what bothered me about the old sprites and caused me to redo them

and turns out the shape is just a lot better now like this !

also fixed what armors i had for them accordingly

also got this screenshot while playing

then i finally sat down and got her clothes by making a generic cloak item. immediately had to fix some issues with the clothing and head offsets for the running animation that i hadnt noticed before (bc she was naked), and tweaking the rotation arm sprite for the cloak, but it was an easy fix

anyway this is what i have now in my example fits

the glombrero hat also works perfect on vanilla species lmao

i also finally implemented the icons, item jsons, and recipes for all armors too i just sat down and did it

and still doing new descriptions but thats easy

then immediately had to go and fix the sitting animation! why is it a mess and all the offsets are weird and dont work how i want them to work

EDIT heres a clip of me going adrift in space because i wanted to check if the ship had another compartment (and didnt use my mech. on purpose.)
