#Raylan and Krit deserve to have a family again

... You want some Mer head canons?

(Yes this was inspired by the new lore event )

- Raylan has finally gotten a communicator from Krit, the only people he really talks to on there are Krit, Faye, Theo and sometimes Nel. His background photo is of him, Krit and Bucket, Krit asleep on his shoulder and bucket sleeping on his lap.

- When Raylan first learned that Faye and Theo were sirens, he almost wanted to ask them to use their song on him, just so he could be reminded of Caspian and what his song felt like. He ended up not saying anything but there's still times when he and Theo will be talking and he has the urge to ask.

- Speaking of Caspian- He's started a small garden up where he found Bucket, it's nothing fancy- just a bunch of Red Tulips and Lily Of The Valleys, Just as a small reminder. He'll sometimes sit up they're and pretend they're sitting next to him and just ramble about everything that's happened.. Sometimes he can almost feel them sitting with him- he can *almost* imaging their voices and what they're saying.. It *almost* feel like he's home again..

-Raylan has started going to High tide Village just to wander and talk to the villagers, sometimes he'll even run into Theo and the two chat for a while before either Orion or Faye drags Theo away for something.

- Krit and Faye has started to braid flowers into Raylan's hair, he always asks them to braid either Red Tulips or Lily Of The Valleys.. And once the flowers die, he asks Krit or Faye (whoever isn't busy at the moment) to redo them.

- Whenever it's raining out, Raylan will lay in a wide open space and just let the rain drench him.

- Raylan has vivid memories of Krit when the two were younger.

- Sometimes, whenever Raylan can't sleep but is too tired to move, He'll mindlessly hum a song that Caspian used to use on him to help him fall asleep. He can't remember the words, but he remembers the melody, and to his shock, he'll sometimes sing himself to sleep with it.

- Caspian, Aax and their nephews have been searching for Raylan ever since he disappeared, whenever Caspian can't sleep, He'll watch the stars and try to imagine that Raylan is they're with him... Sometimes, the wind will carry Raylan's voice to Caspian, whenever this happends- he takes it as a sign that he hasn't gotten enough sleep and tries to go back to bed.

- (assuming Soul Bonds exist in this universe) Caspian and Aax can still *feel* Raylan's soul bond to them, they can still feel that he's alive and out there somewhere- they just have no clue where.

...I have so many thoughts and feelings of Mer! Ghaae okay?? I love them so much and I need them to be gay in every universe.

I just want Raylan to be gay- Is that too much to ask for!? /hj

More head canons :D (No I don't have too many thoughts about this sad mantaray and his little brother, don't worry abt it)

-Raylan is touch starved- Like, So incredibly touch starved to the point where Faye once gave him a hug and he immediately starting crying. (He felt horrible about it later but Faye reassured him that it was fine)

- Whenever Raylan tries to pick up Bucket, They'll get on his shoulder like a little owl and get comfortable. (Yes I am basing this off of something my cat does.)

- Raylan constantly afraid that he's being "too much" and is terrified of people getting bored or annoyed of him.

- Krit doesn't know how to feel at the idea of finding their family, cuz on one hand- They're so afraid that they and Raylan won't find anyone, they're afraid that their family is gone and just wants to live in ignorance for a little longer, On the other hand- If they're out there, and they find them, They and Raylan will have their family back, and can bring their family home to meet Theo, Faye and the rest of their found family. Little do they know that Raylan is also terrified of the fact that they might not find anyone.

-Raylan likes rambling about the stars to Bucket, He'll talk about the stories behind them, what time you can see them best and anything else he can think of. Krit will ask him to explain the star stories if they think he's being too stressed.

- He has a waterproof version of Field Notes, It was a gift from Theo a while back.

- Krit has been meaning to bring Raylan to a lush cave, but hasn't been able to find one.

- When Raylan was in The End, He went a couple days not knowing who he was, where he was or what was even happing because he didn't have the motivation or energy to get up and re-read the signs.

- Raylan will have nightmares of getting trapped in the end again- which leads him into having a silent panic attack. One of the only ways to calm him down is for Bucket to lay on his lap and purr. Once he's calmed down enough- he'll text Krit in the hopes that they're awake. Most times they are- and they'll swim over and comfort their brother, reassuring him that he's out of the End- That he's not alone anymore.

Who else is excited for Lore today :3 I am both terrified and so extremely excited :D
