Like- in my head I have made up a beautiful musical about Scream (and various other hyperfixations I’ve had) But no I don’t think I could accurately describe it nor replicate it

Josh passionately explaining (read: ranting) to the gang the horror movie rules à la Randy Meeks

“You can never - and I mean this, you degenerates - ever have sex.”

There was a chorus of grumbles and objections from the group, Beth going so far as to throw an entire handful of popcorn to try and get Josh away from the front of the projector’s screen; alas, as she knew (as they all knew), he was hardly that easy to get rid of.

“Yeah, I know, I know, it’s a problem...well, maybe not for like...” he waved in the general direction of the seats where Chris, Ashley, Hannah, and Beth were sitting, grinning only wider as they all voiced their objections, “...but for the rest of you, it’s a serious consideration you need to be aware of, okay? You can also, I’m sorry to say, never drink or do drugs.” That time, he only narrowly stepped out of the way of the (mostly) empty solo cup hurled at his head, “But the most important rule to surviving a horror movie is - ”

“Not to piss off the angry mob,” Emily said, raising her voice over the others’ so she could be heard, quirking an eyebrow and smirking a smirk of her own when their muttering turned to cheers of agreement.
