In addition to prayers, Duas is another great way to stay connected to Allah Almighty with its blessings and mercy. Further, there are general Duas, which is made by every Muslim on an everyday basis. The month of Ramadan is perfect for every Muslim to supplicate excessively. Different types of Duas for the month of Ramadan include:
Ashra Duas: Ten days of Ramadan month is called as “Ashra” and therefore the Ramadan has three Ashras. For every Ashra there is a Dua which every Muslim performs during the fast especially after the prayers. Respective Ashras are mentioned below:
1st Ashra: Rab-bigh-fir war-ham wa Anta Khair-ur-Raahimeen. (Surah Al Muminun:118)

“Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri Ramadan” Translation: “I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan”
At the time of Iftar following Dua must be recited:
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu [wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu] wa ‘ala rizq-ika aftarthu”
Translation:“O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You [and I put my trust in You] and I break my fast with Your sustenance [“wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu” is quoted in some books of knowledge – but not all, hence it is in brackets”
Prayers and Duas ensure that during this month there are two means that a Muslim achieves the desired aims.

Fasting teaches us to control ourselves. We learn to leave that which is permissible and that which we cannot live without –– food and drink. It is as if Allah is saying to us that if you are able to leave that which you cannot live without then you can easily leave that which is prohibited.”😇👍 #ramadan2016 #ramadankareem #islamicquotes #islamicpost #ramadanreflections #ramadanthings
