Hello.
I am Apophis Ignotus.
My friends and family call me Kalani.
I am 23 years old, married, have two children, and three cats.
I am a digital artist, fully self taught. (I have no idea what I’m doing but I love what I do.)
My style is hard for me to pin down. Everything is experimental.
I study many mythologies and cultural media to draw inspiration from. Namely, Abrahamic religions as a whole.
I am non-theistic in practice, however I believe in religious pluralism.
I am an lgbtq ally.
I am allergic to many fruits.
As opposed to being scared of the dark, I find it soothing and comfortable.
I encourage you all to ask me questions or engage in conversations with me. Connections to others is the main focus of my blog here.
I would love to form and cultivate a community of artists on here. Please point me in the right direction of those who would like the same.

WASHINGTON, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Fossils of a large carnivorous dinosaur that was a top predator about 115 million years ago have been unearthed in Thailand -- a brute that was among the early members of an impressive group of flesh-ripping dinosaurs known for their shark-like teeth.
Scientists on Wednesday said the dinosaur, named Siamraptor suwati, was more than 26-foot-long (9 meters) long and weighed at least 3.5 tons. Siamraptor, the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever discovered in Thailand, lived during the Cretaceous Period in an environment centered on a meandering river system and preyed on plant-eating dinosaurs, the researchers said.
Paleontologist Duangsuda Chokchaloemwong of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University and Khorat Fossil Museum in Thailand said partial skeletons of four Siamraptor individuals were discovered in Korat, Thailand. The fossils include parts of the skull, backbone, limbs, hips and teeth.

Researchers find hydroquinine in trees has potential to kill drug-resistant bacteria
Tumblr media
Sep 05, 2022 07:14 IST Washington , September 5 (Always First): Researchers discovered that a naturally occurring chemical known as hydroquinine has bacterial killing potential against numerous pathogens in a recent study. Antimicrobial resistance has become one of the greatest threats to public health globally. It occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines, making it difficult to treat infections. Because of this, there is a pressing need for the development of new antimicrobial drugs to combat infections. A new study, published in the Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease journal, by scientists from the University of Portsmouth and Naresuan and Pibulsongkram Rajabhat Universities in Thailand, explored whether hydroquinine, which is found in the bark of some trees, could inhibit any bacterial strains. Hydroquinine is already known to be an effective agent against malaria in humans, but until now there has been little investigation into its drug-resistant properties. The findings suggest the antimicrobial properties of the organic compound make it a potential candidate for future clinical investigation. Dr Robert Baldock from the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Portsmouth, said: "Using bacterial killing experiments, we found that hydroquinine was able to kill several microorganisms including the common multidrug-resistant pathogen pseudomonas aeruginosa. "Characteristically, we also discovered that one of the main mechanisms used by these bacteria to escape killing activity of the drug was upregulated with treatment - indicating a robust response from the bacteria. "By studying this compound further, our hope is that it may in future offer another line of treatment in combatting bacterial infections." Drug-resistant bacteria occur in more than 2.8 million infections and are responsible for 35,000 deaths per year. Common antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" cause diseases including sepsis, urinary tract infections, and pneumonia. Statistics show bloodstream infections with the bacteria - P. aeruginosa is associated with high mortality rates of between 30 and 50 per cent. The study recommends further investigation into the antimicrobial resistance properties and side effects of hydroquinine. Dr Jirapas Jongjitwimol from the Department of Medical Technology at Naresuan University added: "Our future research aims to uncover the molecular target of hydroquinine. This would help our understanding of how the compound works against pathogenic bacteria and how it could potentially be used in a clinical setting." (Always First) Read the full article

Why Casino Should Be Legal In Thailand.
by Thananon Teekathananon
In Thailand operating Casino is illegal and people who wants to play casino normally went to Singapore, Malaysia or Cambodia to play. Meanwhile people who cannot afford to go overseas intended to visits illegal Casino. In Thailand there is a lot of illegal Casino operating for people to gamble.
Recently in Pattaya there have been a spread of COVID 19 and causes the whole province to go under lockdown, the origin of the spreading of COVID19 is from illegal Casino. In Thailand there is an estimate that there could be hundreds of thousands of illegal gambling operations with most of them being small dens.(Fernquest, 2011)
Tumblr media
According to Bangkok post, Sungsidh Piriyarangsan, director of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University's PhD Programme in Good Governance, conducted research into gambling in Thailand and concluded the illicit business can never be eliminated. Some casinos might close temporarily when authorities publicly flex their muscles, but they always reopen later, his research found.(Fernquest, 2011)
Tumblr media
If the government allow Casino to open legally I think it could prevent many problem such as speeding of diseases, police taking bribes, and crimes rate in some areas. because they don’t have to hide anything and can operate freely.
Kla Party leader Korn Chatikavanij has floated an idea to legalise gambling in the kingdom, saying doing so will not only help contain the spread of Covid-19 in illegal gambling dens more effectively but also to gain more tax revenue.(Sattaaburuth,2021)
