#Rainbow 6 extraction

So if extraction get an update(which I doubt will ever happen) I’ve been thinking of ideas on what operators could be proteans. Gameplay why of course. And I’ve found that our 5 proteans all are just improved versions of the enemies in game(Sledge-smasher, Finka-apex, vigil-lurker, etc) so to make a new boss would require a playable operator that shares similar abilities with a enemy so I give you 3 different operators that could theoretically be turned into bosses with this philosophy

1. Fuze-Breacher

Fuze’s cluster charges give off the most destructive effect in terms of explosives and area denial. Bleachers are one of 3 enemies that can break though reinforced walls but the red variant it’s certainly the most ‘explosive’ as they self destruct on you or when the large bulb on their back is shot. So a fuze boss would consist of of a shotgun and trying to run up to you and blow up in you face dealing loads of damage. The 2nd phase would add explosive projectiles that would be homing(similar to a tormentor’s charged attack) and phase through objects utilizing hitting an operator, a reinforced wall or being shot at in where it explodes where it’s shot, and when hitting a reinforced wall a hole would appear in the wall similar to a hard breach charge in r6s. The trick would to be using your reinforcements strategically to avoid those homing explosives and keep your distance from the boss while firing.

Extra notes: hibana would also be a good choice for being the boss as well

2. Gridlock-Rooter

Gridlock’s trax stingers are a throwable gadget that slows and damages enemies but takes time to activate and rooters are an enemy that attacks using spikes coming from the ground that immobilizes the target caught in its attack. So an enemy who can immobilize you then follow up by shooting you would make a terrifying boss fight(at least the first time you fight it) this boss would fire a lurker attack when it spots you trapping you in the spikes then attempts to fire at their traps target. It’s enhanced form would have lurker attacks start at this proteans feet and slowly spread out to where they attempt to find ‘prey’. Using smokes to block lines of sights from gridlock an attacking from behind from its front face carapace would be the optimal strategy and this would great for a glaz/warden type operator to see through smokes.

Extra notes: capitiao and nomad would be good choices to be the boss instead

3. Ela-Sower

So this last one’s a bit of a stretch but the sower deserves more attention than being a glorified bullet mag.

Ela’s grizmot mines that stun enemies is what I consider the closest gadget to the sowers mines that flash you. This boss would definitely be the most annoying to fight as it will always try to run away to set its blinding mines and claymores(it would do about 25-50 damage and can down) only in its 3rd phase would it actually engage with the scorpion smg as it sets the blinding mines automatically. Having someone on mine clearing duty while the other 2 chance ela down would be the best strategy.

Extra notes: Iq and Zofia would be considered good operators to chose to beat this boss

Other ideas I have are Tachanka-spiker and doc-feral grunt/revived archaeans. But feel free to add feedback and ideas on what kind of proteans you’d like to see in extraction!

As far as I can tell, the named lockers are for Gilles "Montagne" Toure, Olivier "Lion" Flament and I see an El-Maktoub on the back row for Nomad. Which is veeery interesting!

Does that mean that all Rainbow ops pre-Nighthaven are in REACT? Cause that would be fucking amazing even if it's just in the lore! The other explanation I have is that somehow they mixed up Doc with Montagne when making this 😂

Due to my Rainbow Six Extraction getting 3 notes I’m here to tell you that I have crafted a whole huge update that would revive extraction including

2 new maps including Dawson City in Canada and Las Vegas in the us(I’ve even got lore on why these 2 are the chosen ones and even have ideas for what it would look like)

5 new levels for our existing 20 operators that actually improve them will new weapons, better stats, and improved abilities(ex: Fuze with the Balistic Shield, Doc getting that speed buff, Iq seeing all invisible enemies)

6 new operators like Jackal and Castle

New Secondary Gadgets such as the Foam Barrier

The Flash Hider and other weapon add ons

2 New Events

New Objectives

New Mutations

New Archeans

New Proteans(as seen in my older post)

New Difficulty Levels in Dawson(Lvl 5) and Vegas(Lvl 6)

And I found ways to buff the UV Light and REACT Blade

Badass Vigil moment in Extraction: sneaking invisible in front of an Apex to grab some very needed resources and then going away undetected, strutting in its fucking face. That could have gone sooo wrong, but thankfully it worked. Also, felt really cool to pull off 😂

Cosmic Brownie Cookies

I like to think Elain would bake these for Nyx, and any other children that happen to live in the neighborhood.

For @elainarcheronweek's cookie exchange- what a fun event to bring the community together.

Recipe below the cut:

I got this recipe from cookingwithkarli

Cookie Dough:

1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 eggs

2 tbsp corn syrup

1 tbsp vanilla extract

3 3/4 cup all purpose flour

1 cup dutch processed cocoa powder

1 tbsp cornstarch

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

Chocolate Glaze:

2/3 cup heavy cream

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup rainbow coated chocolate chips [note: I bought mine from nuts.com but amazon also has them, and a local bakery supply store might also carry them in your area]

Directions:

preheat the oven to 350

Cream together butter (I like to brown my butter, but thats optional) and sugar- you'll want it to be well incorporated, and a light yellowish/brown color

Once creamed, add in your eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla until everything is well combined

Add the flour, cocoa, cornstarch baking soda and salt. Mix until your chocolate cookie dough forms and the texture of the dough is soft without being sticky (you should be able to roll it in your hand without getting residue all over your palm)

Divide and roll out 12 cookies. They'll be quite large as this recipe is a crumble cookie copycat. I like to roll out smaller balls of 24, but do what makes you happy

Spread your cookies on a parchment lined tray- either 6 if you're doing 12 large cookies or 12 if you're doing 24. You'll want to keep a decent amount of space between them.

Bake for 15-17 minutes. You'll know they're done with they still look soft but not wet, and there are little cracks in the dough. They should be soft when you bite into them, and not hard or crunchy.

While your cookies bake, double boil (best method) or heat up your heavy cream in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes-2 minutes OR until your cream is boiling. It should be very hot but not burnt.

If you decide to microwave your cream, check on it in 30 second intervals

Pour in your chocolate chips and let it melt in the cream, whisking until its smooth, well-combined, and without lumps

You can spoon it on about ten minutes after your cookies are out of the oven BUT it will melt your icing. I recommend waiting about 30 minutes so you don't end up with a drippy mess, but I'm not here to tell you how to live your life

Sprinkle candy coated chips on top

The recipe recommends eating them warm

every time i rewatch the miracle aligner music video i am just flabbergasted. FLABBERGASTED. like. they really chose to make it like THAT. and by 'like THAT' i am specifically referring to:

1) “an attempt to extract the truth... approximately" *cue rosepetals and intense eye contact*

2) THIS being the opening shot of the two of them

3) miles legitimately spending the first minute of the entire video blatantly checking alex out

4) literal rainbow lighting around them

5) endless hand holding and twirling

6) that moment where miles's hand reaches ever so reflexively for alex's neck

7) the fucking closing scene?????????
