Need help naming my 'on the road / last know coordinates' blog.
My friends, my peeps, my gloriously creative juggernauts...
I need to make a side blog where I can let everyone know where I am from day to day, in case I, like...vanish. And also where I can post 'nomad living / highly awkward RV'ing' drivel, plus bad pictures I will inevitably take of pretty places.
I need a blog name. A clever one. My clever circuits have been fried for months.

Rainy Day Musings . . . Illusions . . .
Rainy Day Musings . . . Illusions . . .
Being off the road for a time, enjoying that time spent stopping to see friends along the way and lately putting in hard work building with my own hands has given time once again for reflection, the seeking of my Zen place. A state of mind it seems, reflecting back on the last several years of my life and what the future may bring. Always an unknown but I face it with a positive attitude and open to what is ahead.
One of my favorite books over the years has been “Illusions – The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah” by Richard Bach. I have read and re-read it over 42 years now and it remains a sort of ‘Life Bible’ for me. Looking back at times on different chapters in my life, and re-thinking the different circumstances, actions, and outcomes, seeking where I can to gain insight, clarity, and sometimes peace of mind.
Illusions Book Cover
It is a simple book and an easy read with many “gems” on how one should live life and treat other people. Bach is an aviator mainly writing flying stories over the years with life lessons his common theme. One of his early well known books was ‘Jonathon Livingston Seagull’ which was made into a movie.
Every so often I have gone back and read “Illusions” again and asked myself some of the questions and have been surprised by my changing answers over the years. Was it maturity or circumstance that brought about the perspective swings?
Here are a couple of quotes from the book to start you on a flight to a better “me” or “you”. Enjoy!
Quotations from the Messiah's Handbook
"Reminders for the Advanced Soul"
in
"Illusions - The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"
by Richard Bach - 1977
“Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't.”
The Blue Feather
This one has remained pretty constant in the fact as we learn and interact with people we have an effect on those around us. Once we are gone I am sure there will be those that were affected having known us. At least one would hope so and like to think we have impacted other’s lives in our journey.
“There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts.”
We all learn from our past, sometimes we repeat the past until we have more clarity on that which we seek in order make positive changes. We learn from the problems so at times I’ve seen where people create things (difficulties, problems, or circumstances) so they can gain confidence to act or make changes from the experience.
“Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you.”
This one seems so true for me as those that come in and out of our lives over the years allows one to see what place or seat they may take in our ‘theater’, we call life. Who is on your front row and who places themselves in the back? Over the years how often do they change their row, moving forward or backwards in your life?
“Remember where you came from, where you're going, and why you created the mess you got yourself into in the first place.”
We learn from our past or would like to think so. What have you created to learn from in your life?
“You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self. Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain you don't have anything to learn from them.” “You're always free to change your mind and choose a different future, or a different past.”
Poster to Ponder
What are your thoughts on this? Life is about choices, and the different paths that each one brings with it. Do some of the paths cross at different points in your life, or move parallel for a time perhaps? Does it bring with it another choice(s)?
“You are never given a wish without being given the power to make it true.
You may have to work for it, however.”
The old adage “There is no free lunch” is so true about so many things in life. It takes work, and many times it is hard work to make your wishes and dreams (goals) come true. Hard work ethic and a spirit of working with a spouse, partner, or others never hurt anyone but my generation has done a disservice to our youth letting technology steal away their imagination and work ethic in today’s society. Some young adults expect that they be given or helped along the way without the temperament to get up and work hard, figure out the problems in their lives and provide for themselves. The ‘instant gratification’ bug has took so many things away from our children who do not know or understand what it is to go play outside with a stick or sit and read for hours expanding their imagination. If it does not have a joystick or keypad on it people are not sure what to do with themselves. It has made many lazy with expectations of just getting by with thoughts of not having to work for things as it will always be provided to them or helped in some way. For those it is a shame that they will probably never know the meaning of working hard to accomplish something on their own and seeing the fruits of their labor.
“The world is your exercise-book, the pages on which you do your sums. It is not reality, although you can express reality there if you wish. You are also free to write nonsense, or lies, or to tear the pages.”
As you are Traveling Life’s Highways, the world is out there waiting . . . Enjoy and don’t let it pass you by!

Your logic is off. If Jared was the reason of cosmic absence, what is the excuse now? She is still leaving her dog with third parties for lengthy periods. Did she use keekee? Was she expected watch vk dog all of the holiday? Jared loves dog. After the death of his, he said he would not get another pet because he travels a lot and think it is irresponsible. You leave out that vk was called out to pick up her dog. You leave out that her and madde friendship changed after she had to return vk dog
Are you STUPID??????????????? 🤦🏼♀️
She's leaving the dog with sitters WHEN SHE FLIES OUT FOR WORK ASSIGNMENTS OR VACATIONS!
WHICH SHE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DO AT ALL IN 2020 BECAUSE SHE AND THE OLD FART WERE EITHER STAYING PUT AT CASA LETO OR RV'ING UP AND DOWN CALIFORNIA'S PARKS! 🚙
Plenty of room and plenty of fun for a little doggy, but we never got a single photo of Cosma anywhere! 🤷🏼♀️
And all the more strikingly: AFTER SHE DITCHED JL, COSMA SUDDENLY STARTED POPPING UP ALL OVER HER VACAY PICS. 🤷🏼♀️
Coincidence? 🤔
THINK HARD. 🤨

Georgia Guidestones
Georgia Guidestones – Elberton Georgia
Traveling Life’s Highways can take you to some interesting places. Several years before leaving Atlanta for Alaska in 1995, I discovered a unique and interesting scene in a field near Elberton, Georgia. Recently I returned for another look along the rolling hills of farmland which are the normal views one usually sees while driving in the area along Georgia Highway 77 (Hartwell Highway). On one of the windswept hilltops just outside Elberton stands an unexpected granite monument. The monument is alternately referred to as The Georgia Guidestones, or the American Stonehenge.
Georgia Guidestones
I still cannot believe in the time I lived in Alaska over the last twenty years the Guidestones are still relatively unknown to people I talk to. It is not the typical tourist location but probably is in the same category as the world’s largest ball of twine (Cawker City KS, Hwy 24 west of Topeka Kansas) or largest frying pan (Rose Hill, North Carolina). I have seen the ball of twine but not the frying pan, which is still on my bucket list.
Placido Flamingo in front of Guidestones
Elberton isn't called the 'Granite Capital of the World' for nothing. It sits atop a granite deposit 35 miles long, six miles wide and three miles deep. Alaska had many earthquakes while I lived there and if there was ever going to be an earthquake or natural disaster in Georgia, I'd want to be right here atop six million tons of solid stone.
The origin of that strange monument is shrouded in mystery because no one knows the true identity of the man, or men, who commissioned its construction. All that is known for certain is that in June 1979, a well-dressed, articulate stranger visited the office of the Elberton Granite Finishing Company and announced that he wanted to build an edifice to transmit a message to mankind. He identified himself as R. C. Christian, but it soon became apparent that was not his real name. He said that he represented a group of men who wanted to offer direction to humanity, but to date, almost four decades later, no one knows who R. C. Christian really was, or the names of those he represented.
Several things are apparent. The messages engraved on the Georgia Guidestones deal with four major fields: (1) Governance and the establishment of a world government, (2) Population and reproduction control, (3) The environment and man's relationship to nature, and (4) Spirituality.
Engraved in eight different languages on the four giant stones that support the common capstone are 10 Guides, or commandments. Though relatively unknown to most people, it is an important link to many conspiracy theories that dominate the world in which we live. The stranger wanted a Stonehenge built -- he had a model of it in a shoe box -- and had selected the area because it was remote and it offered good granite. Mr. Christian reportedly left $50,000 in a local bank, told the locals that they would never see him again, and vanished forever. Following Mr. Christian's detailed instructions, the company erected what are now known as The Georgia Guidestones, four granite monoliths, each nineteen feet tall.
Guidestones layout
The main cluster was completed on March 22, 1980, using granite quarried from nearby Elberton. One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned. An additional stone tablet, which is set in the ground a short distance to the west of the structure, provides some notes on the history and purpose of the Guidestones.
On the top stone, carved on the four sides in Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Babylonian Cuneiform, it says: "Let these be Guidestones to an Age of Reason." On the upright slabs, Ten Commandments are carved for the coming "Age of Reason," encouraging visitors to "unite humanity."
Age of Reason
A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
10 axioms that are on the stones
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature 2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity 3. Unite humanity with a living new language 4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason 5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts 6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court 7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials 8. Balance personal rights with social duties 9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite 10. Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature
Close-up of Stones Axioms
I found the placement of the languages on the stones interesting. There was a lot of thought given to the message and the cultures represented on the stones. Several had the language of an “opposite” culture on its reverse side.
There are many theories and thoughts about the mysteries surrounding the Guidestones. Is it a new world order or the commandments for the anti-Christ? Who knows but its message in many ways is an outline for a safer world, giving others a chance, protecting our environment and controlling our population so as not to destroy our natural resources.
The “Message of the Georgia Guidestones” seems to call for at least 90% of the Earth’s population to be wiped out. The passage about maintaining humanity at a population of a half-billion or less would require a massive dying-off of humanity the likes of which we’ve never seen. This is what has led many conspiracy theorists to allege that whoever financed the Guidestones, they are in cahoots with an evil New World Order project to extensively depopulate the planet. Since the Georgia Guidestones were built in 1979, at the height of the Cold War between the USA and the Soviet Union that many thought would inevitably result in a nuclear apocalypse, writers such as Brad Meltzer suggests that the Guidestones were meant to be seen by that war’s survivors, at which point the world’s population would already be below a half-billion. (https://thoughtcatalog.com/jeremy-london/2018/08/27-bizarre-facts-about-the-georgia-guidestones/)
“I want people to know about the stones ... We're headed toward a world where we might blow ourselves up and maybe the globe will not exist ... it's a nice time to reaffirm ourselves, knowing all the beautiful things that are in this country and the Georgia Stones symbolize that.” – Yoko Ono (http://www.radioliberty.com/stones.htm)
Guidestones at Sunset
Placido Flamingo enjoyed his visit to The Georgia Guidestones. It is another unique and thought provoking place along our journey Traveling Life’s Highways.
Getting there: The monument stands at an approximate elevation of 750 feet above sea level, about 90 miles east of Atlanta, 45 miles from Athens, Georgia and 9 miles north of the center of the city of Elberton along Georgia Highway 77.

Nobody has an issue with Gavin using nannies, it's for the best. The issue is Gavin claiming to have the kids 50% of the time and claiming he takes care of the kids all by himself. That's shade on Gwen for employing nannies and lies about how much he actually sees his kids. It's the poor me father act just living for my kids while he's recording, playing tennis, traveling all over the place, staying away for a month and two shady ass girlfriends later.
Exactly! And saying things like with their mother they live behind two gates (maybe he hasn't heard about OK, RV'ing in Yosemite, etc.). He's the classic example of a person who tries to push himself up by pushing other people down.- B

Training Day
Apparently when you buy an RV you can't just ride off the lot that same day. There is much preparation that needs to be done to the RV to get it road ready. So, a week later we drive back to Greenville for our five hour training session. This is when we received a crash course on RV'ing. We learned about generators, batteries, propane and running off the engine. We learned how to empty the grey water versus the black water, how to connect to city water and sewer, what to do when you are off the grid (or boon-docking as it is referred to in the RV world). We learned how to slide out slides, and work TV's. Guess what, there is something called over the air digital TV so you get digital TV no matter where you are. I still don't understand who does it, and how it is free, but I guess some things you just don't question (not that we will be watching much tv at all). We learned about invertors, and air brakes, how to convert the couch into a sleeper, and how to drop the table into another sleep area. The things we learned in a mere five hours will boggle the mind.
This is Kevin learning about how to empty the grey water and the black water. When we were looking at RV's to buy, Jeff the sales guy, told us this story about how you have to put a rock on the black water hose or else it could spray all over the place from the pressure. Um, what? That is good info to have. I can assure you that if a black water hose goes rogue and sprays everywhere that it will be the end of me. Stick a fork in me, I will be done. The good news for me is that I have deemed the emptying for the tanks Kevin's duty. We shall see how long that lasts.
This is Jody... he is awesome. He was the poor soul that got the short end of the stick and had to teach us novice RVers everything he knew is a short period of time. I need to have his number in my phone on speed dial for emergencies.
Kevin has this under control. He is learning all he can about how this rig works. It is a big undertaking for sure. He is taking it very seriously actually. Apparently you don't need a special license to drive an RV, nonetheless, Kevin is getting his CDL just to be safe. He has to take a written test and a driving test to pass. He goes out everyday in the RV to practice. I, for one, am super appreciative of how seriously he is taking it. These things are not easy to drive at all.
And this is Jeff. He is our seasoned sales guy... we have had a great experience here at Adventure Motor Homes... you know, where they sell more for less. I highly recommend if you are looking to buy an RV, then Jeff is your guy.
The maiden voyage. Just as the nurses and doctors at the hospital did when Day was born, these kind RV folks sent us on our way to figure it out on our own. This is Kevin driving it home from Greenville to Asheville. Talk about stress. White knuckled stress. See your life pass before your eyes stress. Nobody informed us of the huge draft winds that practically push you off the road when 18 wheelers pass you by. Nope, Kevin got to learn that the hard way. I am pretty sure by the time he safely pulled this thing into Asheville he was convinced we had made a huge mistake, and he didn’t want to drive this RV all the way across the country. Well, practice makes perfect and by the time we leave I feel certain he will be an old pro.

02/08/17 - Balmorhea State Park, TX - FRONT YARD SUNRISE - The great thing about RV'ing is that you get a different view everywhere you park. Stepped out the door early this morning to take some pics and saw this front and center. Amazing how the early morning light can transform an innocuous scene into something so beautiful - almost like a painting.
