RTL startet neuen UHD-Kanal: Schon dieses Wochenende wartet ein echtes Highlight
An diesem Wochenende startet mit dem Formel-1-Rennen in Aserbaidschan der Sender RTL UHD, wie der Programmanbieter HD Plus am Mittwoch in München mitteilte. Darüber hinaus seien alle weiteren Formel-1-Rennen der Saison in UHD-Qualität zu sehen. Alle Zuschauer, die das HD+ Sender-Paket abonniert haben und über einen UHD-Fernseher verfügen, können den Kanal der Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland ohne zusätzliche Kosten empfangen.
Für den neuen Kanal hat die Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland ihr Sendezentrum weiterentwickelt und somit die technischen Voraussetzungen geschaffen, um das UHD-Signal Plattform-Partnern von Köln aus zur Verfügung zu stellen, heißt es in der offiziellen Pressemitteilung der Sendergruppe.
„Für uns wird UHD in den kommenden Jahren wichtiger werden und wir haben als führendes Medienhaus das Ziel, hier stets neue Maßstäbe zu setzen. Wir freuen uns daher, dass wir mit dem Start von RTL UHD‘ und der Ausstrahlung der Formel 1 sowie DSDS unsere Tests im Bereich UHD ausbauen können,“ so Andre Prahl, Bereichsleiter Programmverbreitung Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland.
