#RO: malkorath

I do have to say, when the game described Malkorath the MC was understandable very afraid. But i, on other hand, could only say "HELLO SAILOR!"

don't worry anon, you're hardly alone in thinking that according to my inbox XD sadly for everyone involved, Malkorath believes that their looks are the Least loathsome thing about themself, so it's going to take some work before they're really receptive to any proper flirting. but i'm sure they'll get there in the end 😌

i’ve been having a really atrociously bad time lately so i thought i’d amuse myself by skipping ahead and just. writing something really fun; this is part of a possible scene you Might see like half a dozen chapters from now if you make certain choices and if your mc ends up being pretty close with Heluur asjbgdfg

You can see a few of the Inquisitors beginning to get antsy, shifting back and forth on their feet and exchanging worried glances, as the gentle patter of rain on the church’s steepled roof gradually becomes louder and louder. One or two of them flinch as a sudden crack of thunder rattles the windows, fiery red light turning the lens of stained glass above you into a hellish beacon for a brief moment.

Their leader must be able to see some of your thoughts plainly on the face of your captor, because he glares darkly at you, placing a hand on the hilt of his sword. “What? What is it? Speak!”

You laugh at him, the blood leaking from your (//her//) cracked and dehydrated tongue gurgling as the memory of the carnage of that first night replays in your mind.

“You should run,” you tell him, grinning–you’re compelled to tell the truth, after all.

His first instinct is to sneer at you, perfect teeth glimmering as he snorts contemptuously, but after a second or so he seems to realise the same thing, doubt flickering across his features for the first time since you were summoned here. The woman you’re possessing is trying to scream, trying to warn him… but they’ve weakened her too much in order to make you talk, and you ignore her attempts to regain control as easily as you would a tiny insect buzzing around your head.

“You’re going to regret this,” you add, as another lightning strike splits the sky, “but only for a very short time.”

[[And then the earth trembles…]]

Although that doesn’t seem like an extreme enough word to describe the catastrophic upheaval that breaks out, the Inquisitors all crashing to the ground as something gargantuan strikes the earth outside. The sound of it is a phenomenon all of its own, the groaning of the earth so loud that it rattles your (her) teeth, so loud that you can’t even hear the Inquisitors screaming or the screeching of trees being uprooted and structures collapsing, though you //can// sense it, even through your captor’s shattered eardrums.

Before you even have time to wonder what’s going on, the windows explode violently, obliterated by nothing more than the onrushing of air being forced out of a massive space, the wooden pews splintering apart while the door twists in on itself and snaps in half.

Staring at the sky through the smashed circular frame that once held the stained-glass window, your heart begins to beat madly in your chest as a shadow as deep and broad as night itself falls over the church, though not before you manage to spot one single colour–a pearly, iridescent blue.

Your mind can barely process what it’s seeing as the church is abruptly ripped in half, a coil of snake tail so large that it could comfortably fit everyone you’ve ever met in your entire life standing on it sweeping the roof and rafters from the crumbling walls like foam before a wave. The monumental scales glitter ferociously in the sudden light as he pulls back, the sound of his impossibly large muscles thundering in the air above you like a mountain moving.

The air screams under the pressure as his tail completes its circuit and the tip comes up over the now-ruined church like a cracking whip, generating a sonic boom so loud and strong that it flattens what remains of the walls into the ground, crushing the Inquisitors below it.

You think this is probably the only time you’ve ever actually seen the //tip// of his tail.

And then suddenly Malkorath is there, though you can’t even imagine how they’re able to move around normally in these circumstances. They rip the manacles loose from the altar and then turn their face upwards, looking no more disgruntled than they might on any other ordinary day.

“Will you get out of here before the gods show up and start a bloody war already?”

How tall is Malkorath because I’m imagining someone between 7’0 - 9’0 or maybe even taller if so

hi!, i answered this a while back here (along with the other ROs' heights)! for simplicity, Malkorath is 220cm tall (not counting horns), which is about 7'3''. hope this helps!

the idea of mc setting up a kitchen/cafe in Hell is both extremely funny and extremely wholesome... definitely a good way to earn trust in this particular conclave haha. Malkorath will have to start running mortal world raids to steal fruit and flour and eggs XD

Will we be able to see Malkorath act like they did when they rescued MC soon, or are we getting the human treatment? I wanna hug them 🥺 (or at least one of their legs, my MC is small).

mc is going to have to spend a little bit of time smoothing things over with Malkorath, but as long as you work at it i promise it won't stay that way forever! they're not entirely unreasonable; they just feel like it's not entirely safe to trust you yet 😔 (for reasons that will make more sense once we get through some of the explanations in the rest of chapter 1 haha)

No questions! Just hope you’re doing well, and wanted to let you know that I honestly live for Mal. I don’t know what it is about beings that are living war machines and also cinnamon rolls, but I’m feral for them. I would throw hands if anyone even breathed wrong in their direction 💛

Welp, I guess I just stumbled into this and now have an adorable, lazy batdemon OC lol. I love the demo so far and can't wait to see more and/or to be a massive slut! One important question for us sloth demons though, how much do our ROs like cuddling in bed?

haha, welcome! i'm glad you enjoyed it! as far as cuddling in bed goes, the ROs ranked from most to least comfortable with it go:

Suchebh > Malkorath > Lithiana > Arianis > Twilit (with Heluur on a sort of sliding scale ranging from 4th to last depending on how bad of a pain day he's having)

if Suchebh could get away with it, they'd NEVER leave a bed full of lovers... unfortunately they have to engage in things like leadership and politics, eugh. once they like someone enough, Malkorath really enjoys being Close, and Lithiana is at what i guess i would describe as a "casual enjoyment of cuddling" level interest in it. Arianis is pretty ambivalent - they don't mind it, but it's not something they'd miss either, whereas Twilit will probably get bored if it goes on for a while. emotionally Heluur would love to be able to cuddle all the time and "lying down next to each other" is something he really enjoys but sometimes it's hard to relax into a cuddling mood if it hurts too much.

TBH the way Malkorath behaves so far is more like the personality I expected from Heluur based on the descriptions.

well you have to understand, when malkorath first saw the mc they assumed mc was. a demon. now that they know mc is really a human it's a bit of a different ballgame XD also there's quite a bit of variation in how malkorath behaves in that scene based on your choices and how it affects malkorath's first impression of your mc... from the asks i've been getting it seems like most people deliberately chose the Most Favourable options (which makes sense, honestly)

once mc actually meets heluur and gets to see malkorath again in Hell it should be very clear how different they are :)

always sucks when you meet a new person and they don't run away from you screaming and then you later find out that they're a human being 😔

hey, sure! i wasn't sure exactly what to give you in response to this for a while because. obviously malkorath is going to be described in the game very soon, they're the first RO that the mc actually runs into, but i figure i can give some visual references for the general. shape of all of their monster features without just spoiling parts of the game haha

their wings are basically like this... DC tends to change around the way manbat's hands work fairly often so ignore those, the important part is that the wings are connected to the underside of the arms

then their hands are basically like this... although all of their skin is blood-red so ignore the purple haha

this is the basic shape of their legs, although their feet are a little bit rounder and more like the shape of a lion's paw... i like this reference though still because they're not hairy like a lion so gargoyles seemed to be the best visual reference lol

their horns basically look like this, extruding from their forehead... they're taller than they look in this picture, like maybe half a metre in height

and this is basically what their tail looks like... it was hard to get a screenshot of it because it's always moving so you can watch this video if you want to see it better lmao

anyway i hope that helps! there are a few other physical features like scars and so forth that probably aren't necessary to go over here... and hopefully the description on the ROs page should suffice for like. hair and eyes and stuff lol

if this all seems a bit dispirit that's by design; malkorath was literally Built by another demon, the Archdemon of Wrath, who basically took bits that he liked from various designs and put them all together to make what he thought would be the ultimate killing machine. luckily malkorath doesn't work for him anymore since he got eaten<3

haha oh dear... I'm so bad at "facts" asks, I'm one of those people who panics whenever someone says "tell us something about yourself" and forgets everything that's ever happened to me lmfao

their body temperature is shockingly cold compared to most other demons - this is because they were built specifically to be able to survive easily in the mortal world, which is far colder than Hell

they have a real sweet tooth; they found and tried a pastry with fruit and icing sugar in the mortal world once and now they instantly zero in on any desserts if they happen to see them

they didn't always work for Suchebh... they were built by the Archdemon of Wrath, who I'm sure you can imagine wasn't a very nice person... not a great boss, either. a lot of smaller/weaker demons were basically sacrificed for the sake of petty wars between the Archdemons, but Twilit found Malkorath interesting enough to rescue them and free them from the Archdemon of Wrath's service

they have the divine equivalent of a bounty on their head, being the most recent addition to Daemonic Compendiums given out as information to Inquisitors (Heluur, Twilit and Suchebh are also in there). this is because the Gods are just super mad that they can survive pretty easily in the mortal world

they're not exactly a huge fan of mortals... the running and the screaming secretly kind of hurt their feelings, since they're rarely there to actually Hurt innocent people (that garners too much attention from the Gods), just to take out other demons' warlocks. they're doing you a favour, guys!

they do like cats 😌 cats aren't as afraid of them as most animals

this one is a bit of tease, but... Malkorath is actually the first RO that the mc will meet!
