This picture is the result of my testdriving the @relonch camera-as-a-service, after a nice chance meeting with Yuriy, their co-founder. : It works like this. Check out their proprietary camera like how one checks out a book from a library. Camera has a fixed prime lens (45mm with correction) and only one single button to aim and click. So, you as the user, focus only on the composition, they do the rest from auto-syncing the raw image(s) you want to keep to their cloud and post-producing it for you to download for $1. Take as many pictures, pay only for the ones you want to keep. The rest are automatically deleted. : Note: I am not paid by Relonch to write about them and have no affiliation with them, as of this post. Having testdriven this service now, I can see the value and expect more vendors to follow with different flavors of this service. : Our current relationship with photography is ready for the next wave of creation, post-production, distribution and consumption. : In picture, sunset at Alviso Marina County Park. Yes, it is. @relonch brilliant new plan is to avoid the cost of a new camera, to declutter your life, end retouching hassles and simplify photography (hobby/social level) by including a camera with only one button. No flash, no screen, no SD card. You half press the shutter button to focus, then shoot. A 4G connection automatically uploads your picture to their server. Relonch's algorithm selects the best images, and then tosses the rest. That makes me really nervous btw. The next day kept images transfer to the Relonch app, and you buy the image(s) that you want...for $1 each. What do you think?
