As a child, I dreamed of being an opera singer. I initially fell in love with Italians, Tosca… Later, I fell in love with Parsifal, by Richard Wagner, seen in Bayreuth. It was the beginning of a long journey with Wagner: Tristan und Isolde, seen with Waltraud Meier, and then the Ring…

I studied the singing of the greatest opera singers to understand how they convey the emotion of a text. I wasn’t seeking lessons in musical technique but in the emotional commitment of the singer to the interpretation of the text.���
