**New Wattpad recommendation**

I started this last week and finished it yesterday. I loved it. It's dadrry mixed with softrry. Basically, Holland and Harry were in a relationship years prior, but Harry broke it off with Holland to try and pursue a career in America, leaving her devastated for years. In their time apart, he gets married and has a baby. When his marriage fails, he moves back to London with his daughter and accidentally runs into Holland, the person he couldn't stop thinking about since the day he left, all those years back. At first, she's rude and crude towards him, but after some time of them rekindling things, they start a relationship again, only this time he has a three year old daughter in the picture.

Only dislike I had was the lack of smut and how rushed I felt the ending was. There is smut, don't get me wrong, but not as much as I'd like. (I'm a sucker for some smut, what can I say) And the ending felt like it needed so many more chapters. But overall I recommend this book if you love softrry, dadrry, and angst.

A New Friend ...?

[Little Gods and Passing Beasts AU, aka roleswapped rain world ;; more under the cut]

this is iterator Explosive Redamancy!! otherwise known as roleswap/LGaPB artificer!!

ER was supposed to be roleswapped into Pebbles's role, but i think she ended up being more like Moon,, whoops. she's the one with a broken structure and a reliance on neuron flies, though i haven't decided yet if she is the one to read out pearls or if Rushing Streams is,, she's mean, but i don't think she'd be meaner than 5pebs is, and in fact might even be less so in comparison as she doesn't have the power in her structure to game over slugcats (she can throw them out of her can though). like 5pebs, her structure would be the one primarily explored in the theoretical game, and be similarly rough to traverse, but more due to environmental hazards and unique creatures than rot (she doesn't even have rot)

on her local group, the sunburn local group, she is the second oldest of the bunch, only slightly younger than Seeking Requested Sojourn. close neighbor of Rushing Streams, she was harsh but caring, and is ultimately kind, at least before her collapse. now she is bitter and much more abrasive, barely able to function due to the state her structure is in. she only starts using the communication lines again when a frail slugcat convinces her to read a pearl from RS. in the end she forgives RS, though it definitely took a while she was created by the ancients to research relationships, and how it can affect the possibility of ascending. after more and more iterators were built, she focused in on requited relationships, if love could better lead to ascension or if it would be better to be completely alone with not even family to love. ultimately, Seeking Requested Sojourn got full upgrades to meir structure while she only got patches, and in the end she couldn't cool down her structure in time to stop a fatal overheating. strange though, wasn't Rushing Streams built with a unique way to process water, like he was meant to cool down another iterator? anyway. ask me about this au.

“Redamancy” (Levi x Reader)

A/N: Hello, my darlings! I’m back (sooner than we all expected lol) with another collab fic! This one is for @pleasantanathema​’s Through Ink and Quill | Classics Collab! I have been a secret admirer of Lauren for literally months now, and I’m so excited and grateful to be a part of her collab. Thank you Lauren, for always being an inspiration to me! You’re the reason this self-indulgent fic was born in the first place! 

In relation to the collab’s theme, this is a Levi/Reader fic inspired by Jane Eyre, one of my all-time favorite classic novels! Imagining Levi in a Victorian setting does *things* to me, I hope you understand. I am by no means an expert on the Victorian Era, so there might be a few inconsistencies here and there. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it! (Also, as a side note, this has to be one of the quickest fics I’ve ever written, haha!) 

And finally, the character of Amelie Auer is one of my own OCs, from my story AWWW. I didn’t want to villainize an AoT character, so I chose one of my OCs instead, who’s already kind of a villain in her own way. Just wanted to let you guys know before you started reading! I hope you enjoy!

The sound of your name being called draws your attention to the distance, just in time to see a familiar black-haired girl running down the hall. You stand up from your seat on the windowsill just in time to catch her in your arms, holding her to your chest. The proper lady in you wants to chastise her for her behavior—but the inner child wants to join her in her excitement.

“Don’t run so fast.” You straighten the front of her dress and brush some of the black strands away from her face. “It’s not becoming of a lady, you know.”

The girl’s lip juts out into a pout. “Sorry,” she mumbles your name softly, but you can tell by her tone that she’s anything but. Cheeky girl. “Is he back yet? Ms. Ral said he would be back by now.”

“No, not yet. But come here.” Her admiration for her father makes your heart soar. You take her hand and lead her to the windowsill, placing her right in your lap as you take a seat. “You’ll be able to see him from here, when he does come back.”

The girl nods, fisting at the hem of her skirts. You take her hands in yours and still them…only for her to continue doing so when you pull away.

“Mikasa,” you scold with a smile, “don’t do that. You’ll wear out your skirt.”

She doesn’t let go of the dress, but at least she stops tugging at the fabric. You smooth your hands across her hair, trying your best to even the strands out. She hums to herself when you separate the hair into three separate sections, before tying them off into a long black braid down her back. All the while, her eyes are fixed on the window, as the late afternoon sun bathes the upper courtyard in a pale golden hue.

Pairing: Jacaerys Velaryon x Targtower!Aunt!reader Warnings: None Tags: No dance AU, idiots in love, regency romance inspired Synopsis: Queen Alicent has arranged for her youngest daughter to find a suitable marriage partner, and Jace knows there is no better match than him. A/N: I wrote this drabble to get out of a writer's block. No beta as of yet.

Jacaerys Velaryon was in love with his aunt since their minority. It was no secret since he did a rather shoddy job of hiding his affections for the youngest, Lady Targaryen. They’ve exchanged missives over the years but have not seen each other since the incident in Driftmark. How he yearned to gaze upon her once more, see her smile, feel her warmth. For the past six years, he feared the possibility of her being swept away by another. Alicent Hightower would never wed her daughter to him if her saying no for Helaena was any indication. Though he was grateful for that rejection. He had several ideas, some involved asking his mother to petition King Viserys, who rarely refused her. Others involved stealing her away to Dragonstone in the dead of night himself. In her more recent letters, y/n mentioned that Alicent would be holding interviews for potential marriage candidates. At first it sent him into a panic until he realised the opportunity it presented.

Marriage to a princess of the Dragon house was indeed a grave affair. Many assumed she would be wedded to her brother Aemond. And Alicent did wish for it as well, but Viserys shut down the suggestion. It would be more fruitful to use this as an opportunity to form alliances with other houses instead. So began the tedious process. You were halfway to sleep by the time the candidate from house Rosby left the parlor. Your options so far were too old, too lecherous, too vain or too unsightly. Most of them were all four. And you prayed for it to end. Alicent only gave you a sympathetic look, since her fate was not far off from what yours would be. She placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, ready to call it a day, when a servant came knocking. “Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Jacaerys Velaryon seek an audience, my queen.” Alicent’s grip tightened on you, but she gestured for the servants to let them in anyway. And soon enough, came in Rhaenyra with Jace in tow. Your Jace, for whom you have longed for and pretended to not realise his longing for you. He has grown into a fine young man with strong features and thick black curls. “Your grace,” he bowed to Alicent before locking his gaze with you, which released a thousand butterflies in your stomach. “My lady,” he gallantly took your and placed a kiss on the back, which lasted a touch longer than appropriate. You felt your mother stiffen up, but decided to focus more on the lingering warmth from Jacaery’s lips. “Princess Rhaenyra,” Alicent flatly began. “To what do I owe the pleasure?” Rhaenyra smiled in response, not at all bothered by Alicent’s disdain. “I heard you were interviewing candidates for my dearest sister. I could not possibly allow it to conclude before the most suitable one had a chance.” “Yes!” you blurted out, unable to stop the grin forming on your lips until you realised everyone’s eyes were now on you and you flushed in embarrassment but quickly regained your composure. “I mean, it would be an honour.” Jace suppressed the laugh forming in his throat so you did not think he was ridiculing you. In fact, he found your reaction very pleasing and adorable. “Tis settled then,” Rhaenyra declared to prevent any protests from Alicent, who she pulled along to give the young lovers some privacy. Neither of you says anything. Just content looking into each other’s eyes and smiling until your mouths hurt. What would you interview him for, anyway? You knew everything about him. From his favourite food to his deepest secrets. You knew him as a person. Jace is the first to break from his reverie and crosses the room again to kneel before you. “My princess,” he covers her hands with his own. “Before speaking the words burning within my heart, I must ask, do you love another?”

Your eyes widen briefly before yoy reassuringly smile and shake your head, to which you see him visibly relax. “Good,” he smiles back, tightening his grip ever so slightly. “The past six years I have ached in agony. Every waking moment, I wished to sleep so that I may see you in my sleep. Y/n Targaryen, I love you, most ardently. Will you do me the honour of being my bride and future Queen of the Seven Kingdoms?” You freeze as his words wrap around you and sink into your skin, sending jolts down every nerve ending. Who knew your patience all day would be rewarded so handsomely? “Yes!” You fervently nod, feeling tears prickle your eyes, and Jace also bursts into his own expression of joy. »»———-　˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚ ❀　———-«« Not long after, you find yourselves before the Iron throne, next to your respective mothers. Viserys sweeps between you four before gesturing you forward. “Speak, daughter.” You glance at your mother who took no pains to hide her disapproval, then to Jacaerys who gave you an encouraging nod before you finally face your father. “The candidates today have been the most…comely, but I love Prince Jacaerys and I wish to marry him.” You clear your throat. “With your majesty’s permission, of course.” With that, you quickly scurry back to your mother, feeling rather exposed with all the eyes on and you and notice a small smirk on Jace from your peripheral. There is few moments of unsettling silence before your father raises a hand. “This calls for a celebration!” “But, my love!” Your mother steps forward. “You wished to form new alliances–” “And we shall arrange the wedding to be in three moons.” He cut her off with finality before dismissing everyone. So the betrothal of Princess Y/n Targaryen and Prince Jacaerys was announced the following day. A joyous occasion that many hoped will mend the seam between the two families. Alicent, in time, has come to accept the arrangement after some consolation from Otto. id love to know about rushing streams and explosive redamancys relationship! is ER the senior of RS and what was RS researching in order to cause the collapse of ER? Did she consider them family?

hello hello!! thank you for your interest in my lil' au and thank you for asking!

ER is indeed the senior of not only RS, but most of the local group! the only one who can call seniority on her is Seeking Requested Sojourn, though neither of them tend to use their seniority privilege much.

see, theres a funny thing that happened that got iterator groups in a tizzy - Sunrise Over Sleet sent out the triple affirmative, then proceeded to disappear. Rushing Streams was nothing more than intrigued at first, curious but otherwise preoccupied with her duties and talking with his friends. she kept thinking about it though, cycle after cycle, and it slowly turned into an obsession. the mystery of it all, the suddenness of the affirmative then an equally sudden and baffling silence. Rushing Streams was also a third generation iterator, built to do his unique duties but with the Great Problem always looming over her, making him itch to solve it - its not surprising she slowly started pulling away from his friends to think think think what could have happened what is the solution where what how something interesting about Rushing Streams is that her structure is built to cycle water. ER is an older iterator, and her systems started giving out long before the ancients ascended, and rather than upgrading her facilities, they instead decided to build another iterator to help bolster her systems and think on the Great Problem. a large part of Rushing Stream's duties is to cycle water through ER to prevent overheating, which was noted as a common event whenever she worked on something even mildly taxing - hence the name. those processes are usually automated, but can be manually changed. when RS started working on the Great Problem, running simulations and parallel processes, she didnt start by taking all the water, no, he barely even took a drop. but like a frog in boiling water it slowly built over time. 10% this cycle for this simulation, ER can live without that. an extra 5%, my facilities are overheating, itll only be for a cycle or two. taking an extra one or two water pipes for an experiment wont cost Red much, will it? it took ER pulling seniority for RS to realise how much water she was using, but it was too late. he didnt mean to. she only had himself to blame. Explosive Redamancy's collapse was not quiet, no. it lived up to her name.

did ER consider RS family? i mean. yeah. she was so close to ER's structure they might as well have been two iterators in one superstructure - RS needed that proximity to properly do his purpose. when you live that close to someone and cant easily ignore them yall either get close or live in misery. i imagine before that whole fiasco they were close in the way siblings are, of the 'only i can make fun of my little sibling. talk shit get hit' variety. mind you, ERs words tend to be biting but RS often gave as good as she got.
