A Spitfire PR.X of 541 Sqn receives its D-Day stripes at @RAFBenson on the 4th June 1944.
541 Sqn would fair well during operations as part of #DDay not actually losing a pilot until the 28th September during operations over Germany. @SpitfireFilly @HistoryOnz
