Keeping her drink close, and losing her friends in the crowds, Doe felt a little uneasy. There were a lot of people here for the function and she guessed it was an even split between those with money gained from good, and those who gained money from other levels. She wasn’t about auras or vibes but a cold shiver ran down her spine for a moment. Someone must have simply opened the windows. With lots of people and alcohol around it was easy enough to work up a sweat so at least she could reason with herself. But she wasn’t great around new people, so walking straight into them was not a great plan.

Doe paused, looked up and offered a small smile. “I’m sorry I really should be going to look for something, well someone, but right now a cigarette wouldn’t be a bad idea either.” She took a few steps away from the male, hoping that was it for their interaction - but Doe had never been lucky in that regard. “I’m sure you’re busy looking for people too.”

“I fear the world will never know the answer to that. I’ve never played Quidditch, and I don’t intend to.” Rabastan snorted at the sight of her, covered in mud and Merlin-only-knew-what-else. “Nobody’s in there at the moment, no. Want me to stand guard outside for you? I’ve nothing much to do tonight, anyway.”

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" Narcissa looked down at herself and couldn't blame him for laughing, she looked truly awful. Still, they were friends and it showed in his offer which she gladly accepted. "That would be amazing, thank you." Losing the match was enough embarassment for today, she did not want to risk someone walking in on her as well.
