it was a deliberate choice to make her the Face of cdrm's empire/smp bc it focused all their frustrations and anger onto Eret. she's just a figurehead to take all the brunt of the pain and never actually own any power.

Am I the only one who thought that they way they handled Millie's moment was a little.. eh..?

I mean, I get it, Millie ABSOLUTELY needs her time in the spotlight, she deserves it, without question.

But why do they always gotta do at someone else's expense?

Yeah Millie supported Moxxie through everything, but only because it felt like no one else would.

It always feels like that. Blitz has his moments, but his ego is too much that he can't even pay him a basic compliment without following it up with some backhanded bullshit.

Mills parents doesn't like him, and everyone else tolerates him at best. Even Loona, with her constant fat jokes.

Seeing a spouse (or sibling) excel in something you've been trying so hard to work on, out of nowhere, it's selfish, but it hurts.

Moxxie, you didn't have to make it all about you. But even with his time in the spotlight, it always feels like he's robbed of gratification at the last minute.

If I ever make a show, I'm never going to implement a "punching bag" character. That trope stinks.

The lyrics of “Punching Bag” were inspired by an acquaintance who I was super pissed off at at the time. Turns out my frustration was unwarranted, as it was the result of a misunderstanding rather than malice. It makes me wonder how much human conflict is the result of misunderstandings rather than bad intentions.

Being an enormous fan of electropop / synthpop bands from the 2000s (#MetroStation, #ThePostalService, #TheClickFive, etc.), I try to add synth melodies to GoBoy songs wherever I can. The first 15 seconds of “Punching Bag” really scratch the itch to hear those sorts of synth melodies.

The original plan for GoBoy 7 was to post videos on YouTube of every element of production, from writing to recording, to mixing, to mastering, to cover art creation, to uploading, and that’s exactly what I started doing for songs 117-121. After posting four videos of myself writing the melodies, structures and lyrics for songs 117-121, a total of 18.75 hours of footage, I got cold feet during the vocal recording phase and abandoned ship. GoBoy is a music endeavor, not a video endeavor. It was simply too uncomfortable having a camera on me at all times while working, and it really sucked the joy out of the creation process. Maybe I’ll revisit this idea in the future, but not for GoBoy 7 (excerpt from post 117).

Watched #HouseoftheDragon season 1 on HBO Max during the mixing of songs 117-121. That show was such a pleasant surprise that I downloaded the audiobook #FireandBlood by #GeorgeRRMartin and listened to it over the course of a few days. It’s amazing, and fans of the 1st season are going to be mind blown by upcoming seasons (excerpt from post 117).

Suffered from a serious eye problem while producing songs 117-121, which resulted in the temporary loss of about 50% of my vision. Remarkably, after halting the use of a bleach product in my apartment, my eyes ultimately healed back to normal after a few weeks. Resilient organs, our eyeballs are. I was fully mentally prepared for permanent vision impairment (excerpt from post 117).

With songs 117-119 being completed simultaneously, I had to decide their chronological order. Believing “Brianna” to be the most unique and catchiest of the three, I decided to make it song 117, and believing “Run Run Run” to be the worst of the three, I made it song 119 (excerpt from post 117).
