An Exhortation to Repentance
Return, Israel, to the Lord your God, because your sins have brought you down.
Take words like these with you and come back to the Lord, saying to him, "Please take away all our guilt, accept what is good, and we will repay you with praise from our lips." ā€” Hosea 14:1-2 | Free Bible Version (FBV) The Free Bible Version is a project of Free Bible Ministry; Copyright Ā© 2018, Free Bible Ministry. God has a special Word for you
"My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life." Psalm 119:50 (NIV):
In every situation we face, God has already spoken a word over it. The role of God's word is to guide us during that period.
When you reach a point in your life where you donā€™t know what to do, the first thing you need is God's word, so it can give you guidance. David told God in Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." David knew that without God's word, he couldn't know the way to go or what to do.
Now, Child of God, in every situation you find yourself in your life, know that there is a word from God to guide you. When you go through tough times, God's word is there to encourage you and give you the strength to move forward. When David went through difficult times of hardship and suffering, he prayed to God saying, "I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word." Psalm 119:107.
What I want you to know is that God speaks to you directly through His word and, more importantly, God knows your entire life. He knows what will happen to you in the future, so He gives you His word in advance to prepare you. When you go through that situation, you remember that there is already a word that God instructed you to read.
Sometimes, when you are in a particular challenge, as you read your Bible, you find yourself going straight to a word related to what you are going through. Other times, you might have a dream directing you to a specific verse in the Bible. Or God might use someone, or during a service, a particular verse from the Bible might be read that encourages you and revive your faith, reminding you that God is with you.
Therefore, Child of God, in any situation you are facing in your life, ask God to give you a word that will carry you through. Because God says, "He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107:20." When God gives you that word, hold on to it and believe it until God brings you through safely. Amen.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that you send forth Your word to guide me in my life. When I go through difficult times, I pray, may Your word revive me and give me the strength to move forward. Amen.

Grief
Grief is a frightening and lonely thing. Praise God that He doesn't leave us to suffer in our grief alone. Instead, He provides us with hope. He gives us healing. He promises us the restoration of all things. There may not be a shortcut to experiencing freedom from grief, but we do know who holds the prescription: Jesus Christ. God grants us healing. God grants us peace. God gives us hope.
When grief seems like far too much to bear, and when the weight of it all lies heavily on your weary shoulder, preach to yourself the truth that in Jesus Christ the broken are healed and the grief-stricken are restored to a glorious hope.

Our sure and God-given weapons is The Word of God. As we consistently and prayerfully spend time with God in His Word, we will grow in faith and discernment ~ and it will also wash us and make us new. Godā€™s Word provides protection for our minds like a helmet., and it arms us with truth like a belt wrapped around us ~ causing us to confidently stand firm. This belt holds a quiver full of promises that are like arrows that powerfully extinguish every fiery dart that the enemy will throw at us, as we take our thoughts captive as we replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of The Word. The Word also provides a shield of faith - because faith comes from hearing The Word - which places a divine breastplate across our chest ~ protecting our heart from sin and keeping us in righteousness as we hide The Word in our hearts. The Word enables us to stand in the shoes of the gospel of peace - because perfect peace comes to those who keep their eyes fixed on Him (Who is The Word.)
Every single piece of our armor mentioned in Ephesians chapter 6 is fully and completely provided by our sword, ā€œwhich is The Word of God.ā€ This is simply because He IS The Word! His blood, and His Spirit, and His Word ~ together ~ have given us everything we need for life and godliness ~ and everything we need to fight our battles. ā€œAnd there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these for war. The term "trains" here refers to He's walking us through a training exercise to fight the enemy much like a military training exercise. However, this is a spiritual war which cannot be fought with worldly ammunition ~ but know the enemy will try to distract you in a war of flesh - but only the weapon of His Word will ever be able to setus free, pull down spiritual strongholds m, and fight the principalities and powers of darkness in high places.
Our Father's goal is to bring us to the point where we have learned how ultimately trustworthy He is; so that we finally begin to automatically depend and lean 100% on Him as our natural reflex, and instinctive, reactive response... to literally e v e r y t h I n g..
The following are the verses that came to me as I was writing what was on my heart (if you are interested in further study) as well as the passages that inspired actually this post.
Ephesians 6:10-17 ~ John1:1 ~ John17.17 ~ John 14:6 ~ John 8:32 ~ 2 Timothy 3:16 ~ 1 Peter 2:2 ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 ~ Hebrews 4:12 ~ Romans 10:17 ~ psalm 119:11 ~Isaiah 26:3 ~ 2 Corinthians 4:18 ~ Isaiah 50:7 ~ 2 Timothy 2:4-7 ~ 2 Timothy 2:15 ~ Isaiah 55:11 ~ Acts 17:11 ~ Deuteronomy 8:3 ~ James 1:21 ~ John 15:7 ~ John 16:13 ~ John 6:63 ~ John 7:38 ~ Matthew 4:4 ~ proverbs 30:5 ~ Romans 15:4 ~ 1 Corinthians 6:11 ~ Ephesians 5:25-27 ~ 1 John 5:6-13 ~ Psalm 144:1-6~ 2 Samuel 22:31-37 ~ Psalm 18:26-36

Psalms chapter 119
Zain
49 ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.
53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

Why Should I Fear in Days of Evil?
For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.
1 Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, 2 Both low and high, Rich and poor together. 3 My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be discernment. 4 I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will express my riddle on the harp.
5 Why should I fear in days of evil, When the iniquity of my supplanters surrounds me, 6 Even those who trust in their wealth And boast in the abundance of their riches? 7 Truly, no man can redeem his brother; He cannot give to God a ransom for himā€” 8 For the redemption price for their soul is costly, And it ceases foreverā€” 9 That he should live on eternally, That he should not see corruption.
10 For he sees that even wise men die; The fool and the senseless alike perish And leave their wealth to others. 11 Their inner thought is that their houses are forever And their dwelling places from generation to generation; They have called their lands after their own names. 12 But man in his honor will not endure; He is like the animals that perish.
13 This is the way of those who are foolish, And of those after them who are pleased with their words. Selah. 14 As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death will shepherd them; And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning, And their form shall be for Sheol to consume, Far away from his habitation. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For He will receive me. Selah.
16 Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich, When the glory of his house increases; 17 For when he dies he will not take any of it; His glory will not descend after him. 18 For while he lives he blesses his soulā€” And men will praise you when you do well for yourselfā€” 19 But his soul shall go to the generation of his fathers; They will eternally not see light. 20 Man in his honor, but who does not understand, Is like the animals that perish. ā€” Psalm 49 | Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) Legacy Standard Bible Copyright Ā©2021 by The Lockman Foundation.
