Daily Devotionals for September 17, 2024
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 24:28-29 (KJV):
28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.
29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
Proverbs 24:28-29 (AMP):
28 Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause, and deceive not with your lips.
29 Say not, I will do to him as he has done to me; I will pay the man back for his deed.
Thought for the Day
These verses elaborate on one of the Ten Commandments: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor" (Exodus 20:16). To bear false witness is to attempt to deceive a legal court by lying about someone. Man needs God's Law because man's sinful nature causes disagreements, hard feelings, and the desire for revenge. The Lord commands Christians to live peaceably with others and extend grace to them. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled" (Hebrews 12:14-15). We are not to return evil for evil, but to bless our enemies and do good to them. We are not to seek vengeance on wrongs that have been done to us in the past or bear false witness against others. "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it" (1 Peter 3:8-12).
God will bless us when we obey His Word, whether or not our opponents acknowledge or appreciate our right actions. Vengeance alienates people, whether neighbors, fellow-Christians, or enemies, and an offended brother is harder to win back than a strong city (Proverbs 18:19). We cannot win the lost to Christ nor help a Christian in error if we exact vengeance upon them for hurting us. "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:19-21). God knows how to deal justly with every person.
If we are wise, we will learn to guard our mouths and not say things we will later regret. It is possible to be wrong, even when we are right, by having a wrong attitude. If we want to be leaders in the church, we must not enter into strife with others, but deal gently with everyone. If we ask, God will help us to do this and cause His goodness to flow through us. "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth" (2 Timothy 2:24-25).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, I do want to be a person who is not easily offended and also one who trusts You to deal with those who would seek to do evil against me. I know that I cannot do this within myself, so I am asking You to fill me with the Spirit so that I can honestly love my enemies and do good to them. I know this kind of love only comes from You. Lord, forgive those who plot evil against me and say evil things about me. Open their eyes to the truth. Give me the grace and patience to allow You to deal with them, as I truly want to overcome evil with good. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT-(BROTHERLY LOVE), AMEN..
THE GREAT COMMANDMENT UNTO YISRAEL
(TRUE BROTHERLY LOVE), AMEN...
FROM THE KING JAMES BIBLE (KJV 1611)
BY BROTHER: J.R.WILLIS
•••INTRODUCTION•••
Shalom unto the Twelve Tribes of Yisrael.
My name is brother Yunathun Zion of the Tribe of Judah-Yudah.
THE TWO GREAT COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD WHICH COVERS ALL OF THE LAWS OF OUR GREAT GOD BROADLY:
1. LOVE AND FEAR THE LORD WITH ALL OF THY HEART, SOUL, AND MIND, AMEN.
2. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR-(YISRAEL), AS THYSELF, AS THY OWN SOUL, AMEN.
MATTHEW 22:34-40
[34]But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
[35]Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
[36]Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37]Yashaya said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38]This is the first and great commandment.
[39]And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[40]On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
CONFIRMED IN (ZECHARIAH 8:16-17):
YISRAEL, THOU SHALT NOT IMAGINE NO EVIL AGAINST THY NEIGHBOUR AND THOU SHALT EXECUTE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT IN THE LAND, AMEN:
ZECHARIAH 8:16-17
[16]These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
[17]And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
PROVERBS 3:29-30
[29]Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
[30]Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
•••IMPORTANT NOTES•••
TRUE BROTHERLY LOVE:
TRUE BROTHERLY LOVE-(KING DAVID OF JUDAH AND BROTHER JONATHAN OF BENJAMIN), LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR, THINE HERITAGE, THINE RACE, THY NATION, THY BLOOD, THY KINSMAN AS THINE OWN SOUL YE CHILDREN OF YISRAEL AS COMMANDED, AMEN:
1 SAMUEL 18:1-5
[1]And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
[2]And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house.
[3]Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
[4]And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
[5]And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
LEVITICUS 19:18
[18]Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
MATTHEW 19:19
[19]Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
•••CONCLUSION•••
THE LION OF YUDAH IS COMING TO DESTROY ALL HEATHEN-GENTILE NATIONS:
JEREMIAS 4:7
17 “The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.”
For Judgement-(DEATH), comes for Esau who is Amalek, who are Edom, which are the Caucasian nations by way of the WRATH OF THE LAMB.
REVELATION 2:9
9. I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)-(LORD YASHAYA KNOWS OUR OPPRESSION-AFFLICTION & DESTRUCTION AT THE HANDS OF OUR ENEMIES AS HE HIMSELF ENDURED THEM FOR US-BUT WE ARE RICH BECAUSE WE ARE THE LORD’S HERITAGE-WE ARE THE WORLD & THE WORLD WAS CREATED FOR US),
and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews-(AMALEK-EDOM-THE CAUCASIAN NATIONS), and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan-(THESE WICKED SERPENTS ARE THE CHIEF HOUSE OF THE DEVIL HIMSELF).

Jesus, in fact, gave his approval for the use of alcohol when He turned the water into wine.
Jesus said: “Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” (Matthew 15:11 KJV)
My guess in simple words would be that if you cannot drink in moderation and start acting like an a-hole then maybe you had too much to drink. Of course, some people don't need to drink and they still don't know how to keep their big mouths shut.
Tip: Red wine is full of antioxidants and has been known for longevity in moderation.
Those who oppose the drinking of alcohol, in any quantity, argue that Jesus would not have turned the water into wine, as He would have been promoting the consumption of a substance that is tainted by sin. That is not a biblical understanding, however. Some Scriptures discuss alcohol in positive terms. Ecclesiastes 9:7 instructs, “Drink your wine with a merry heart.” Psalm 104:14-15 states that God gives wine “that makes glad the heart of men.” Amos 9:14 discusses drinking wine from your own vineyard as a sign of God’s blessing. Isaiah 55:1 encourages, “Yes, come buy wine and milk…”
From these and other Scriptures, it is clear that alcohol itself is not inherently sinful. Rather, it is the abuse of alcohol, drunkenness and/or addiction, that is sinful (Ephesians 5:18; Proverbs 23:29-35; 1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19). Therefore, it would not have been a sin for Jesus to create a drink that contained alcohol.
Also, when it comes to bible verses or any religious discussions I will not debate as I feel everyone is free to interpret their own meanings and truths. No two persons ever perceive the same book in the same way.

LIGHT OF LIFE 342
John 1:4
TOO LATE 5 – BUT WHY? 2
Eze 14:19-20 “Or SUPPOSE I WERE TO SEND A PLAGUE INTO THAT LAND, AND POUR OUT MY RAGE ON IT WITH BLOODSHED, killing both people and animals. EVEN IF NOAH, DANIEL, AND JOB WERE IN IT, AS SURELY AS I LIVE, DECLARES THE SOVEREIGN LORD, THEY COULD NOT SAVE THEIR OWN SON OR DAUGHTER; THEY WOULD SAVE ONLY THEIR OWN LIVES BY THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS. NET
We have started to look into why God can get “stiff”, unforgiving, and [ultimately] shut the “door of Mercy” against men.
We now continue with more points, which we commenced from last lesson.
3. DESPISED WINDOWS OF MERCY – God could have given space and time for many to change their ways but they insisted on going the wrong way, and so, Mercy runs out for them.
Rev 2:20-21 But I have this against you, that you let the woman Jezebel say she is a prophet and give false teaching, making my servants go after the desires of the flesh and take food offered to false gods. AND I GAVE HER TIME FOR A CHANGE OF HEART, BUT SHE HAS NO MIND TO GIVE UP HER UNCLEAN WAYS. BBE
As terrible as the sin (fornication & Idolatry) is – things for which God should wipe men out without 2nd thought – God still gave “room” for repentance.
Can you imagine how disrespectful such rebuff from men could be?
God even makes threats just to cause fear that leads to repentance but no!
Rev 2:22 I am going to strike down Jezebel. Everyone who does these immoral things with her will also be punished, IF THEY DON'T STOP. CEV
You can’t deny the authenticity of the LOVE of a God who takes the pain to warn you often, though He can destroy you with ease.
This brings us to the next point:
4. STUBBORN SOULS – there are persons who are commonly bent on going the wrong way.
Pro 29:1 If you get MORE STUBBORN every time you are corrected, ONE DAY YOU WILL BE CRUSHED AND NEVER RECOVER. GNB
Samson was like that too, because he had passion for women and wasn’t ready to cease from it.
Jdg 14:3 His father and his mother answered, "But surely there is a woman from the Israelites you can marry. Do you have to marry a woman from the Philistines? Their men are not even circumcised." But Samson said, "GET THAT WOMAN FOR ME! SHE IS THE ONE I WANT!" ERV
Once Samson lost the EYES he couldn’t take away from lusting after women, no prayer could bring it back.
His “Mission” had to be fulfilled without those eyes, which was now clearly hated by God.
But what about addictions; could a man be condemned where it is obvious that he is not in [full] control of himself?
Good question, but with perfect answer from the holy Book.
Luk 1:73-75 HE HAS RESCUED US FROM THE POWER OF OUR ENEMIES! This fulfills the sacred oath he made with our father Abraham. NOW WE CAN BOLDLY WORSHIP GOD WITH HOLY LIVES, LIVING IN PURITY AS PRIESTS IN HIS PRESENCE EVERY DAY! TPT
Please take note: addiction to anything can never be an excuse to exonerate anyone before God because the very first thing you get as you come to Christ, is Deliverance from all physical and spiritual hindrances that are poised to prevent you from serving God.
It is a definite divine rule.
Oba 1:17 But UPON MOUNT ZION SHALL BE DELIVERANCE, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. KJV
How do you actualize your Deliverance?
First, “upon Mount Zion” means you engage Salvation experiences where there are true believers and sincere Ministers; it must be a bible-believing, and profound Gospel preaching Church.
Second, after deliverance, don’t go back to the “slums” or engage with former sin-friendly folks.
2Pe 2:22 What happened to them shows that the proverbs are true: "A dog goes back to what it has vomited" and "A PIG THAT HAS BEEN WASHED GOES BACK TO ROLL IN THE MUD." GNB
Thirdly, “the just shall live by faith”; you must claim your victory practically by confession and by a renewed mindset.
Rom 6:9-12 We know that Christ, who was brought back to life, will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once and for all to sin's power. But now he lives, and he lives for God. SO CONSIDER YOURSELVES DEAD TO SIN'S POWER BUT LIVING FOR GOD IN THE POWER CHRIST JESUS GIVES YOU. THEREFORE, NEVER LET SIN RULE YOUR PHYSICAL BODY SO THAT YOU OBEY ITS DESIRES. GW
Fourthly, you must fight against any urges that attempt to return; never YIELD to them again.
Rom 6:13-14 So then, REFUSE TO ANSWER ITS CALL TO SURRENDER YOUR BODY AS A TOOL FOR WICKEDNESS. Instead, passionately answer God’s call to keep yielding your body to him as one who has now experienced resurrection life! You live now for his pleasure, ready to be used for his noble purpose. Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God. TPT
If you’ve done all these, you’d be free in Jesus name.
But if you continue in sin, one day, the door of mercy closes and can’t be opened anymore.
If it is not death, one can [forever] lose the ability to refer to God as father again; he becomes apostate and won’t relate with the spiritual, ever again.
Jer 44:26-27 Therefore hear the Word of Jehovah, all Judah that lives in the land of Egypt. BEHOLD, I HAVE SWORN BY MY GREAT NAME, SAYS JEHOVAH, THAT MY NAME WILL NO MORE BE NAMED IN THE MOUTH OF ANY MAN OF JUDAH IN ALL THE LAND OF EGYPT, SAYING, THE LORD JEHOVAH LIVES. Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good. And all the men of Judah in the land of Egypt shall be destroyed by the sword and by the famine, until there is an end of them. MKJV
May God not reject any of us, in Jesus name.
Join us on Friday as we progress with this intriguing Subtopic.
Keep Shinning!

God's Judgment on Israel and Judah
1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12 Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. — Hosea 5 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain. Daily Devotionals for August 23
Bible Devotionals: Select a Devotional, Month & Day, then Press Select.   Devotional:    Month:    Day:
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 23:13-14 (KJV): 13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. Proverbs 23:13-14 (AMP): 13 Withhold not discipline from the child; for if you strike and punish him with the (reed-like) rod, he will not die. 14 You shall whip him with the rod and deliver his life from Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead).
Thought for the Day
There has been much debate on the subject of corporal punishment. Depending on how it is administered, it can either be either abusive or constructive. Webster's Dictionary defines spank as: "(1) To strike with something flat, as the open hand, especially on the buttocks, as in punishment." We are never to spank our children with uncontrolled anger, or from resentment, and thus, hand out unjust punishment. "Discipline your son while there is hope, but do not (indulge your angry resentments by undue chastisements and) set yourself to his ruin" (Proverbs 19:18, AMP). "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4).
Some believe that spanking is child abuse, but the Bible reveals that this is not true. Child abuse is committed by parents who are out of control. These parents need help and correction themselves. Some beat their children in angry rages or hurt them in other ways; some do not take care of their children; some let their children go hungry. These parents need the love of Christ so that the whole family can be healed.
Parents should not fear that spanking will damage a child, although some scream loud enough that it sounds that way. On the contrary, if done properly and for the right reason, it is a kindness, because it teaches a child to respect authority. Really, it is a form of abuse not to spank children when they need correction.
Children should be disciplined by a whack on the buttocks with a small, reed-like rod. This can be a switch from a small tree, or a small wooden spoon. It is not to be a heavy object that could cause physical damage. The purpose of spanking is to bring spiritual correction, not bodily harm. Spanking should be swift, followed by a calm explanation of the wrong that was done. The short-lived pain of discipline prevents the devastating pains - and even death - that rebellion brings. Administering godly discipline keeps a child from becoming a dysfunctional adult, for Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Notice it says train, not teach. Many parents teach their children right from wrong, but fail to train them to obey. They threaten, but because they never follow through with punishment, their children have their own way. Spanking is part of training a child. A disciplined child is a delight to parents, but an undisciplined child brings shame (Proverbs 29:15,17, AMP).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for wisdom, as to how we are to raise our families. Give us Your grace when we must correct our children and grandchildren. May we never punish our children when we are out of control. Deliver us of anger, and teach us how to spank our children with love. Lord, give my children and grandchildren submissive and obedient spirits; and most of all, I claim that all my offspring will know and serve You. Lord, please watch over them and keep them safe in this dangerous world. May they all honor You first, and may they always honor their parents and grandparents, as You have instructed in Your Word. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

*Write it Down*
(Heaven's Almanac 3)
🌱📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌳
Every year, millions of people welcome the new year with great mirth, believing somehow it will bring good tidings and end all their problems. But the new year is no different from a platform. A platform by itself does not make a difference, save someone takes charge and uses it as a medium to effect change.
Next year will not miraculously change your life by itself. Next year will be what you decide it to be and you have the opportunity to decide now. Don't wait for prayers and declarations on 31st night to prepare you for next year. Instead, take charge and begin to make concrete plans towards the next year. Take a look at what the prophet Habakkuk was told:
_"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, THAT HE MAY RUN THAT READETH IT" (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV)._
Every vision must be written down. A vision that is thought about is gaseous; a vision that is talked about is liquid but a vision that is written down is solid and concrete. Writing down a vision forces you to be concise and clear; it forces you to be specific about what you want.
_What is your vision for 2023? Have you written it down?_

Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 6 December 2022 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Say No To Backsliding (III)
TOPIC: Say No To Backsliding (III) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 6 December 2022)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Haggai 1, Haggai 2:1-23, 2 John 1:1-13, Proverbs 29:19-27
FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 6:60-66 (KJV)
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
MEMORY VERSE: “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” – Hebrews 3:12
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
Winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win.
PRAISE AND WORSHIP:
Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECREE THAT, AS THE LORD LIVES, YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE WORLD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
MFM Devotional For Today 2022 MESSAGE:
The spirit of backsliding is on rampage and many are falling away by the day. So far, we have learnt some of the danger signals of backsliding. We will look at some more today.
One danger signal of backsliding we should not ignore is unbelieving attitude. Without faith, it is impossible to please God and have a successful walk with Him. Faith is having courageous trust in God and His ability to do all things. That is why backsliding is synonymous with losing faith or falling away from faith. This will not be your portion, in the name of Jesus.
The Scriptures have instances of unbelief and condemn all of them. Jude 1:5 says, “The Lord, having saved the people out of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not” (NKJV). Similarly, concerning some disciples of Jesus, John 6:60, 66 reveal this, “Many disciples said, this is a hard saying; who can hear it? Many went back, and walked no more with him” (NKJV). Heed God’s admonition in Hebrews 3:12, “Beware lest any man spoil you through unbelief, in departing from the living God” (NKJV). Arise, and pray unbelief out of your life!
Another danger signal of backsliding is hardening one’s heart to the truth. The Bible says that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Jesus is the Truth. The word of God is the Truth, but it is the truth you know, believe and live by that can set you free. When a person rejects the truth, he or she has chosen the path of falsehood and darkness. Such a person has ears that are dull of hearing and eyes that have been closed (Matthew 13:15). He or she will eventually backslide.
Double mindedness and wavering constitute another danger signal of backsliding. We have earlier established that you need faith to please God and that unbelief causes backsliding. The kind of faith that can help to prevent backsliding is unwavering faith. It is the kind of faith that Joshua and Caleb exhibited, not grasshopper kind of faith. The Bible says that a double minded man is unstable in his ways (James 1:6-8). Similarly, double-minded and wavering people are “those who did not set their hearts aright and their spirits were not right” (Psalm 78:8).
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
Spirit of unbelief, depart from me, in the name of Jesus.
Father, make me a lover and doer of the truth, in the name of Jesus.
Father, take double-mindedness and wavering away from my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
Father, give me steadfast, unwavering and enduring faith, in the name of Jesus.
I declare that my faith will not fail, in the name of Jesus.
Agents of backsliding assigned against my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
I reject the path of falsehood and darkness, in the name of Jesus.

Daily Devotional for December 6, 2022
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living Devotional Scripture: Proverbs 29:25-27 (KJV): 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. 26 Many seek the ruler's favor, but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD. 27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
Proverbs 29:25-27 (AMP): 25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high. 26 Many crave and seek the ruler's favor, but the wise man (waits) for justice from the Lord. 27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way (of the Lord) is an abomination to the wicked.
  Thought for the Day
Verse 25 - The fear of man, and allowing people to intimidate us, brings a snare upon us. Fear is as confining as a trap, preventing us from doing what we ought. We must put our trust in the Lord, and not fear what man might do to us. We must learn to cry out to Him when we are in trouble, for He will keep us safe (Psalm 56:9-11). Those who are "born again" will find that the Lord is on their side, and if God is for us, what man can stand against us? God is the final authority, and nothing can separate us from His love. "What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:31-39).
Verse 26 - Many people seek favor from those in positions of authority, but the wise seek favor from God, knowing that all true judgment comes from Him. God is the Almighty, the highest authority. The hearts of earthly authorities are in His Hand, and He can turn them to favor us. "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will" (Proverbs 21:1). If we trust and wait upon Him, He will not fail us.
Verse 27 - The righteous and wicked are not merely opposed to each other, they are an abomination to each other. The wicked perceive the righteous as abominable, but unrighteous deeds are an abomination to God and the wicked will reap destruction. We must choose to follow God, if we desire life and blessing, as we see from Deuteronomy 30:16-19.
Today's verses conclude the collection of proverbs attributed to Solomon. Solomon's wisdom paled next to that of Jesus. His life shows that even at his wisest, man is still sinful and needs a Savior and that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Solomon lost that fear, and, in his old, the age turned away from God. True wisdom dictates that we must maintain our relationship with God throughout our entire life. Any Christian who reveres God and depends upon Christ in faith is wiser than Solomon. Prayer Devotional for the Day Dear heavenly Father, we thank you for the wonderful truth that You are on our side. Lord, deliver us from any trace of the fear of man. May we rather, always have the fear and respect of God in our heart, above any man? I know You will defend us and take care of us, no matter what we face; therefore, we will not fear what man can do unto us. Thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love. Lord, Let us choose to walk in Your ways and keep Your commandments. May we choose life and blessing for ourselves and our children. I declare this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
