Confession Albums and Little Bit About Me
Confession Albums were a popular parlor game among the intellectual and upper classes of Britain in the late 19th century. Being derived from Autograph Books, the Confession Albums were books filled with questionaires meant to be filled by friends, guests and acquaintances of the Album's owner. These questionnaires are known to have been filled by notorious historic figures, such as are Oscar Wilde, Karl Marx, Arthur Conan Doyle, Friederich Engels, Stéphane Mallarmé, Paul Cézanne; with Duke Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Marcel Proust and Claude Debussy being known to have filled the same set of questions. Although Confession Albums in the models of the ones found during 19th century began to fade in popularity, the tradition of filling and reading questionnaires in an attempt to express yourself and learn more about your peers did not. For such reason, I have decided to fill the questions of an Victorian Confession Album in my first post on this site, I hope those who read it will be able to get an idea of who I am, and I'd be delighted to see others try to answer the questions presented in this post.
Confessions of Balalaika.
The Quality you like best: Humility Your chief characteristic: Creativity Your favourite occupation: Ranting The vice you hate most: Stubborness The vice you excuse most: Resentfulness Your idea of happiness: Abundance Your idea of misery: Scarcity Your aversion: Bad web-design Your hero: Yuri Gagharin, Carlos Prestes Your heroine: Olga Brenário, Rosa Luxemburg, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya The poet you like best: Carlos Drummond de Andrade. The prose writer you like best: Machado de Assis, Arthur Conan Doyle, Graciliano Ramos. Your favourite flower: Lavander, Maracujá Your favourite dish: Fish, Noodles, Steak Tartare Your Maxim: It is Right to Rebel Your motto:

Final Thoughts;
I am new to this site, and came during the Great Brazilian Twitter Exodus. I am glad to see there are a lot of creatives in here, a friend of mine is trying to get me to interact more with people so hopefully I will post more, publish some of my work here, and else in the near future. English is not my first language so I am sorry if I made any mistakes during the writing of this post, but I hope anyone who've read learnt a thing or two about me or about Confession Albums, or at least had a fun time whilst doing so. Without much further ado, Farewell. TheRealPoggerGuy~

Brainstorming a Plot through Character Interviews
Brainstorming a Plot through Character Interviews
Brainstorming richly detailed characters is another way to plot a novel into existence. We usually think of a novel’s plot in terms of the actions and events that propel our characters to make choices and decisions that carry them to the desired end. However, we can also create a novel based on the relationships, interactions, and conflicts between two or more characters. Starting with our…

Proust Question #2 for Hazbin Hotel OCs
What is your greatest fear?
Iggy: *shivers and crouches down, trying to curl into a ball* T-t-the nuns and the priest finding me, and t-t-that man... *tears up, sobbing quietly* I k-killed him, he’s gonna- he wants revenge, he’ll tear me apart-
Sid: *visibly upset by Iggy’s distress, goes over and sits near him, waiting until Iggy turns to him and launches himself into Sid’s arms*
Sid: I... *grimaces* Seeing my folks down here wouldn’t be fun, an’ I can fight them if I have ta. It’s just... *clenches his jacket closer to his chest* If I saw Buddy down here... *goes silent, just shaking his head* Haven’t seen any of the gang, yet. They might want a piece of the action, might be sore at me for up and leaving them.
Iggy: *looks up with a tear-stained face* You couldn’t h-help it, you died...
Marc: *watches, then leans back in his chair, his expression solemn* I could have chosen to do good things back when I was alive but didn’t. Someone taking revenge against me, perhaps... or someone hurting you two.
Sid: *Sniffs, tries to sound like he doesn’t care* Don’t tell me you actually care about us, do you?
Marc: ... Like I said, I chose not to do good things.
Sid: *scowls* So what are we, just an experiment? Feel sorry for two kids and maybe helping them gets me a ‘get outta hell free’ card?!
Marc: *calmly* I did not say that.
Sid: *stands up, stalks away* Yeah, well, you sure implied it! *Slams the door shut, leaving Iggy crying and Marc alone in the chair, who looks uneasy and unsure on how to approach Iggy. The smaller demon boy solves this by turning away from Marc and facing a corner, leaving him alone with his thoughts*

For the Proust questionaire: 34, 31, 18 for character(s) of your choice!
Thanks for the ask, sweetie! These were fun to answer. For Sky of Shards main trio before the plot starts:
18. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Zephyr: That I can tell well what people need and give it to them. And that my skills are reliable enough to be needed.
Skye: That I can learn anything I spend a bit of time observing. I can emulate any writing style, any book and any skill.
Knox: I'm pretty good engeneer. Leave me with electronics and I'm sure to repair anything.
31. What is it that you most dislike?
Zephyr: That people don't consider other's feelings, and that we are too driven by our own interests. It's annoying to fight.
Skye: That I need people to survive.
Knox: ...What is there to like?
34. What is your motto?
Zephyr: Don't let what you can't do stop you from doing what you can do.
Skye: Do things for yourself. Don't ever let your happiness depend on others.
Knox: The less you care the more free you are.

Today I decided to sit down with a version of the Proust Questionaire and start interviewing my Pathfinder characters.
So, here’s the trends:
1. Cass answers most of the questions, unless it’s about “what don’t you like about ___?” and then she’s like “why would you chose to be so negative” so we’re working on that. I also feel like she’s the most likely to have an answer as to who her favorite fictional hero is, but I need to ask her DM to name some in-world sailor romance novel heroes for me.
2. Sophie has probably been the most interesting, in that she answers a good chunk of the questions but also will just gaze off into the distance, silently mourning her lost love/best friend or just being too overcome by her current crush(es) to speak. Yeah, didn’t think my Ranger was my token romantic but here we are.
3. Celia is squirmy as all heck about roughly 90% of the questions. And, like, if I backed up to before the final arc of the campaign she would have been fine. She might have only squirmed at about 50% before our little epilogue session. Now she’s just full of “I DON’T KNOW WHAT I AM FEELING BUT THERE IS A LOT OF IT” and I am just laughing at her tbh.
I’m very tempted to start interviewing Cipher, my Shadowrun PC, but I kind of feel like they will be even more likely to go “who the f wants to know?” than Ceels is. Cipher is the token hot mess of this family. We thought it was Celia or maybe Sophie, but then this disaster came along. (At least Cass mostly has her ducks in a row?)

The Proust Questionaire
The Proust Questionnaire has its origins in a parlor game popularized (though not devised) by Marcel Proust, the French essayist and novelist, who believed that, in answering these questions, an individual reveals his or her true nature.
Tagged by my girl @amadryades , who said it made her happy when she found this. You were right! It felt good.
__1.__What is your idea of perfect happiness? A tight support system of people, in a chosen family kind of way. A very affectionate cat. Motivation to create.
__2.__What is your greatest fear? Not being important enough to those who matter to me.
__3.__What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? My lack of guts.
__4.__What is the trait you most deplore in others? The inability to listen.
__5.__Which living person do you most admire? Those who manage to cut ties with hostile toxic environments and, filled with self-appreciation, they rush to the world laughing, in search of something like bliss, or simply experience. I predict that if I someday meet a person like that, they will be the love of my life.
__6.__What is your greatest extravagance? Postponement
__7.__What is your current state of mind? The seawater that remains on the crevices of stone and is perpetually renewed when the waves crash on the rocks.
__8.__What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Cold hard rationality. Being unemotional, unaffected.
__9.__On what occasion do you lie? To dodge inconvenient uncomfortable situations. As a preteen I even did it for fun. It was my go-to. Now I prefer to avoid a straight answer and lie as a last resort.
__10.__What do you most dislike about your appearance? Cellulite.
__11.__Which living person do you most despise? Rapists.
__12.__What is the quality you most like in a man? Being respectful in a conversation, listening without being dismissive. (Oh and not having a fragile masculinity)

__15.__What or who is the greatest love of your life? Language.
__16.__When and where were you happiest? Childhood. My imagination was wild, my knowledge disproportionate, p much everyone i knew admired me, i didnt give a fuck about anyone’s opinion (now i do a lil bit). I felt truly extraordinary. (Presently I’ve lived too long to feel that way. At best i feel I’m pretty cool).
__17.__Which talent would you most like to have? Probably music, bc I’m just kinda…adequate.
__18.__If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? The motivation thing. Being active.
__19.__What do you consider your greatest achievement? I want to believe I haven’t done it yet. For now, befriending certain lovely people.
__20.__If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? Water. In time, i could travel the earth. Idk if i would be sentient tho, and if i would, in what way.
__21.__Where would you most like to live? Any place where I could have a thick wild garden and a house teeming with curiosities and old furniture and shadows for comfort. I’d like a small appartment in Venice, too, alternatively.
