So I live near one of the locations for this product testing company, Rdteam, that sends out emailed surveys and if they decide they like your survey response, they'll ask you to come test a product and get paid for it. I've done like four taste tests and a take-home product for my cat, and it's a moderately interesting way to make some occasional money. The most interesting part, though, is what it reveals about a company's culture through how they do their product tests.

Diet bar taste tests: We will give you one quarter of a diet meal replacement Breakfastainment™ bar in a paper cup. We ask that you nibble on a corner of the bar while you think about the mouthfeel, flavor, texture, emotional weight, and if this bar aligns with your religious needs. We understand if you don't want to swallow.

Jerky taste tests: HERE'S THREE WHOLE BAGS OF JERKY EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT AND TELL US WHICH JERKY IS YOUR FAVE, BRAH

Anyway, I spent my morning getting paid thirty bucks to eat as much jerky as my body can hold, how's your day going?
