MDZS AU where Jiang Cheng realizes that Lan Sizhui is the Wen orphan that Wei Wuxian took care off during the Burial Mounds arc, decides that's close enough to qualify him as Nephew, declares that no Nephew of His (much less a surrogate son of Wei Wuxian's) is going to be raised in the Cloud Recedes, and immediately launches into a custody battle with Lan Wangji.

But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.

(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)

(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)

(It was Nie Huaisang who put that rumor out in the first place, partly to troll JC, partly because, in a way, it's a little true.)

Demon Twins, but their separation was because of the Council of Spiders. Danyal sacrificed himself but promised Damian to return to him at a later date, mostly to reassure himself and Damian that he'd be okay.

Later on, Tim finds documents about brainwashing one of the heirs to the League of Assassins in Illinois. Apparently, they have a scientist couple there who's been manipulating an amnesiac and successfully researching the source of the Lazarus Pits.

Bonus: Jazz is also a kidnapped child and an experiment to see how long-term high exposure (by consumption and proximity) affects people.

Extra bonus!: A good quantity of Amity Park is part of the Council of Spiders, both relatives, people in vacation, retired members, sponsors, etc. And Jazz finds out early on when Danny comes in, worried for the both of them.

I think it would be funny if Tim just snatched them and reported the town to JLD. Like- Bruce isn't the only one who could kidnap kids. Jason adopted all of the Crime Alley kids, Batman is a serial adopter, later on Tim finds out that Damian is like Jason and Bruce but with animals, and Dick is just done with all of them.

I was thinking about this and I said to myself, wait a minute, it would be crazy to imagine that death.... didn't appear in CSM.

And her absence wouldn't even contradict anything, because in any case... death is supposed to happen, isn't it? We'll all meet her!

The apocalypse is simply the existential crisis of mankind and demons when they realize their finitude.

Death doesn't have to intervene, she's already here.

You ever think there's heros who just sorta missed their inciting incident, not by rejecting the call, simply by phasing back into life, like people do? Like, the demon kings armies are taking over the last free vestiges of the world and in some tavern there's just some middle aged guy going

"Yeah, they burned down my village when i was a mere teen. Fucked me up, alright! For a time i even swore revenge but, you know, eventually i grieved my family and rebuild. I have a family of my own now. It's what people of our socio-economic standing do."

And next to him there sits the oldest person you've ever seen and they say

"For a time i was convinced ol' Bill here was some sort of prophesied hero and it was my task to guide him to the right path. Now i see i was coping with severe trauma and almost let down the last person from my old life when they needed me most."

Bill just grabs their arm comfortingly and goes.

"It was a hard time for both of us. I'm glad you got better."

And the stranger they're talking to, who is totally not whatever entity is responsible for destiny in this world in disguise, is just desperately trying to control that twitch in their eye.

O9/02/24--Demands of Messiah, Doe, G-D, and B.D (Inverse Messiah)

The demands have been made for my flesh. To filet parts of myself. I'm not saying I'm gonna do it, but it's being asked of me. Please pray for me. I see Messiah (or Inverse) lurking around all the time. I'm tired. I'm scared. I'm having a hard time finding a priest to talk to. I'm trying very hard to manage my conditions and environments but I'm tired, so tired. I am back in my bed. But I have a small bag of animal bones (bought off of etsy) and salt in ziplocs against my window, which is also sealed shut. I say my rosary, I go to Mass. I am not in a state of Grace, but I'm trying to work on my courage to confess and ask for help. It is scary. Maybe it's just the disorders taking over or maybe I'm a bad person. Please pray for me. Please.
