The animatic for the animation. Since we want to create the animation using stop motion techniques, it was essential to plan each scene and how long it would be. Therefore we divided the animatics into 50 scenes and wrote how long each one would be. The animation is based on the short story ‘the moth’ by H.G Wells. The story is about two entomologists; Hapley and Professor Pawkins, who consider each other rivals. After Pawkins’s death, Hapley starts seeing a moth that no one can see and being sent to a mental asylum after getting hurt while chasing the moth. In the animation, we took the main events in the story and tried to adapt them to stop-motion and 2D animation. 06/02
