Our First Update!
Hi everyone! Wow, the reception to DashCon 2 online has been insane. We are so incredibly grateful for the support! We know that there haven’t been a ton of updates in these past few weeks, but we promise that we’ve been planning a bunch behind the scenes. We're going to be going over a lot of information here that we covered in our newsletter, along with some more behind-the-scenes details. 
If you haven’t subscribed to our newsletter, please consider doing so! We’ll be putting out monthly summaries of important updates, alongside regular short posts here on our blog and these longer summaries.

WHY HAVEN’T THERE BEEN MORE UPDATES 
Frankly, a lot of the stuff we’ve been working on is pretty boring. We’ve been working a lot on budgeting and logistics, what you’d expect from a con that’s still pretty early on in development. We also haven’t wanted to rush announcing anything just to have something to put out; we don’t want to make promises that we can’t keep. We have more in the works, we promise, but we’ve been taking time to make sure that we’re laying a strong foundation for all future plans. 
To be completely honest, we originally planned on publically announcing our plans in mid-September, which has definitely impacted our publication schedule. When we learned of Strange Aeons’ DashCon video we realized that it would be a great time to reach out to her (which we’d already planned on doing), and go public with our plans. We were also concerned that if we went public after her video it would be assumed that this was a cashgrab aiming to ride the hype from her video. Because of this, we’ve had far less to announce than we would’ve necessarily liked. However, we’re now at the stage where we’ll have a more consistent update schedule going forward. 
OUR TEAM
To start, we have received a lot of questions about our team and experience. The DashCon 2 team is a mishmash of people in and around the convention world. For specifics you can consult our  About Us page, but as a collective we have people who have worked professionally as event/programming coordinators, volunteered at conventions/festivals/renaissance fairs, and of course, we've all been attending conventions as guests for over a decade. 
If you’re interested in potentially joining our team, we’ve now opened up volunteer applications for people interested in helping organize DashCon Two. Please fill out this form, and we’ll be in touch soon!
Our team is also working hard to connect with other people in the con scene, especially in our local area. We’d like to give a big thanks to Jenn from Dangerous Ladies for consulting with us and shouting us out on Twitter. VENUE
Unfortunately we don't have a specific venue confirmed yet. We’ve been in contact with a variety of venues available around our preferred date, but we're still negotiating the details. We cannot confirm anything until paperwork has been signed, but know that not matter what, we will be paying for our venue in advance.
Because of some new venue updates (that we can't talk about yet), the date of our event may be subject to change, but will remain within the month of July.
VENDOR APPLICATIONS
The team is thrilled by the excitement so many Canadian artists have for vending at DashCon 2. Vendor applications are not open yet because we haven't yet signed for the venue. Once the venue is confirmed we'll be able to finalize our numbers, including attendee expectations and price.

One way to make GCAP more affordable is to merge it with the Franco-German SCAF program. Sharing costs and dividing them across a larger fleet of aircraft would reduce unit price. Also, the requirement for local content would ensure spare parts availability from multiple vendors. if this suggestion seems anathema to some, it is preferable to cancellation. I should also cite another very successful Anglo-French collaboration: Concorde.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 66: An Anchor Square Adventure
The Story of a Family
When Luigi told Noemi about his end of term success and that he was hoping to celebrate it with her, she jumped into researching options. Shortly afterward, he received an excited text exclaiming that she had found “a very special, absolutely perfect, event!”
In no time the couple was exiting the sunny San Sequoia teleport station hand in hand, ready to celebrate Anchor Day with the locals. Luigi didn’t know much about the festival, but this trip was already a pure win in his book for allowing him to leave the dry winter weather behind.

Passing food stalls, craft stations, and games all related to the city’s long fishing and canning history, they ran across an unexpectedly familiar vendor.
It was Beau, running a stand with a sim Luigi assumed had to be his wife, Breanne. Her classy green candle was one of his favorite decorations and receiving it had marked a turning point in his relationship with her husband, so Luigi was happy to buy a few more.
While Noemi chatted with Breanne about candle making, he tried to get Beau to join the “Incredible Sports” gaming competition starting up shortly. Sadly, his teammate was committed to table duty, but he promised to give “His Highness” a virtual butt kicking some other day.

Noemi shared Luigi’s love of programming, but she preferred robotics over video games and told him she’d cheer him on rather than compete.
Fortunately, there was a stand selling books nearby to supplement the “excitement” of watching him bounce in place. She found an intriguing sci-fi tale (that she was sure Luigi would be asking to borrow soon) about a sim trying to fix the future by traversing alternate past timelines and got a ways through it before he was finished.
The first-place prize alluded the gamer once more, but he was still quite happy with his 2nd place win given his unfamiliarity with the game, especially when he realized he’d also just maxed his video gaming skill. Noemi offered him a congratulatory high five for his double gaming success.

Still high on his win Luigi simply had to try his hand at the wheel of fortune next, hoping to win Noemi a fun prize as a thank you for her great idea.
It seemed that, for now, his luck had been spent. The wheel gave him nothing, but Noemi’s “consolation prize” was sweet indeed. He reflected that the morning had just begun, and this was already a great date. He and Noemi were amazing as a couple, if only he could convince her to commit!

By that time Luigi’s stomach was starting to rumble. When he told Noemi he was ready to grab a bite her eyes lit up with delight.
She knew Luigi hated paying for meals that never lived up to the home cooking he’d been raised on as a child, but she’d read that one of the best chefs in the city had setup his booth at the festival. Luigi was skeptical, as always, but dutifully followed her to the waffle stand.
He had to admit that the wide array of waffles smelled delicious. Mouths watering, they both decided to try the one topped with glazed apples and bacon. Settling nearby to dig in, Luigi literally giggled in happy surprise at the first bite, exclaiming “these are amazing!”
Noemi returned his smile, promising to grab the proprietor’s business card on the way out so they could revisit his fine menu again some other time.

After their meal they took a silly photo to remember the day by. They’d done all they wanted at the fair, but Noemi had one final trick up her sleeve.
She led Luigi across the square to the movie theater. They weren’t showing any sci-fi or fantasy flicks just then, but they were offering the movie adaptation of the romance novel Luigi had purchased for them at Winterfest. They’d both loved it, and he was excited to see it on the big screen.

Exiting a couple hours later Luigi groaned. They’d left out his favorite parts and he thought the leads had done a terrible job with the main love story.
Noemi completely disagreed and said so, but rather than argue about it she coyly suggested that if he hadn’t liked the directors take on the story maybe they could do a better job playacting it themselves back at her place? Luigi very much liked the sound of THAT!

Heading back into the city they made good on Noemi’s suggestion, having a predictably fantastic time while they were at it.
As they lay in bed afterwards, content, Luigi reflected on how easy it had always been to be with Noemi. He was so grateful that she’d come into his life and even more so that they’d found their way back to their current relationship status after deciding to be “just friends”.
He refused to dwell on her unwillingness tell his family about them. It was good enough for now, he decided, to focus on enjoying their time together.

Judging by your post on the little chibi’s (dazai and gojo) would you consider yourself a fan of jjk or is it just something casual? I also have another question about program or whatever it’s called you use to write; is it google docs or something else I’m going to attempt to get a computer so writing is a bit easier seeing as it’s just a bit odd doing it on my phone and it’s much easier to use all those tools like to replace words or check spelling.
I am indeed a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I've been reading since 2018, back when there were twenty chapters. Haven't watched the anime. (nothing new with that, though). Sukuna and Hanami are my favourites. I love the character designs for the Curses.
I write using various applications, depending on what I'm doing. If I'm writing on my phone, I'll just draft since I make more errors typing and tend to run-off — it's much easier to type on a computer and check the fluidity of your writing. I used to use Yandex 360 (Yandex Documents) before I decided to make my online presence dependent on using more Western-preferred applications such as Gmail and Google due to some instigations with others when I used a mail.ru address. My primary choice for writing is Google Docs, which is useful for mobile and computer. This allows me to hop between either device so I can work on the go and at home. Google Docs also allows for an "Offline Mode" so you don't need WiFi to write (but you still need WiFi to actually open Google Docs. I always recommend that you still store your files somewhere (either as an .rtf file or .pdf) since things happen and you may lose some documents. My runner-up is usually Microsoft Word (or LibreOffice if you want a free alternative). Unlike Google Docs, Microsoft Word can be used offline entirely and has more collaborations features. It's also expensive (which is why I suggest LibreOffice). Microsoft Word is also more secure with your data and documents compared to docs. At the end of the day, you go with what suits your needs, maybe it's something less mainstream. It's important to do your own research, too.
EDIT: If a computer is out of your price range and typing on a phone is too bothersome, online vendors sell keyboards (and keyboard-mouse sets) for your phone that connect via Bluetooth. The picture below is an example of one.

Hey, this is a longshot—but d’you have a link to that “how to remove bloatware on Windows/what bloatware to remove” post?
I’m asking because a friend sent me a link to that one about pc specs you reblogged a while back, and I could’ve sworn I saw the bloatware one in the recommended posts for that one, but I forgot to like the post and now I can’t find it. I finally picked up a windows laptop and need to know what to disable.
So it sounds like you're referring to a post I reblogged from @ms-demeanor but I cannot seem to find it. But tumblr search and even the option of using duckduckgo to search tumblr for me is letting me down. I may poke around a bit more later to see if I can find the post but for now... I can list off some of what I did based on my own recent experiences of setting up a new laptop after my old one decided to start blue screening if I moved it five inches in any direction. (That old laptop is now doing perfectly fine when left completely stationary, so I've been using it to experiment with creating a local file sync for back ups using some old hard drives i had lying around.)
Bloatware Social Media/Video Media Apps:
These are probably pretty obvious bloatware since this is a computer and all these services are therefor going to a.) work on the browser and b.) work better on the browser than the app anyway. Also there are a few cases like Facebook where there's a c.) why would I touch <insert application> with a ten foot pole anyway? reason for removing the App

X-Box gaming apps - while there are some reasons to keep the x-box gaming stuff, most people are gonna find it useless

Omen gaming - if you've got an HP laptop specifically, you will probably want to give Omen related game apps the boot too
Vendor specific applications - YMMV, I do keep some of these for diagnostic purposes, but you definitely want to at least give any HP this or Dell that or whatever type programs a harder look. Any program starting with the name of the vendor that created your laptop? At the very least look it up to see how important it really is/isn't
Adobe programs - there are free versions of everything adobe does that do it better than adobe does
3D Viewer - it's a 3D modeling program, but odds are you won't need/want this
Microsoft 365/Office/etc - Unless you need these programs specifically for professional reasons, LibreOffice is free and reliable and has multiple UI modes for the toolbars depending on your preferences
Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Family
Microsoft Maps
Mixed Reality Portal - Unless you're doing VR dev/VR gaming using this computer, there's no real reason to keep this one

Kelth, 7: What is your favourite thing about this character? well one of the first things about them is that i wanted them to have something to do with programming. because i'm a programmer and i needed more self-insert OCs in my arsenal. SPECIFICALLY i was imagining what it'd be like for someone ingame to try organize their void relic shit without a google sheet. and that kind of. DRASTICALLY snowballed. into kind of this whole blog. there are a lot of smaller things but this one is the one that makes me smile the quickest & most joyfully (angst potential is a close second but that's a more evil grin)
Kelth, 9: Do they keep in contact with old classmates/friends/other Tenno? What is their connection? well shit uh. i haven't thought about this before so this is shiny new lore (and part of why i love ask games). they don't keep in contact, they don't reach out by themselves, because social contact requirements wise they're fulfilling all their needs with Ordis & the warframes already, and they weren't fantastic friends with the other kids to start with. nothing like bullying, just... they weren't exactly included by the others in stuff. they fit in enough to not be bullied, but not enough to be included. but if they're contacted by someone they used to know (and, if we're going with they both remember The Old Days) they'll be polite & nice & maybe even genuinely enjoy it for a bit. but their social battery would drain fast
Kelth, 11: Are they comfortable jumping out of their Warframe and showing their own bodies to others? Why (not)? HAHA NO. Noooo Kelth very much prefers to HIDE.
