About Trinity Law Soc: they comfirm elsewhere that Louis was 'unable' to speak to them when he performed in Dublin, but that he has 'committed' to do so at a later date. Never gonna happen, frankly. And that award they gave him is the Praeses Elit award for "individuals who have advanced discourse in their line of work, and who have been a source of inspiration for young people everywhere". Previous awards have gone to people who've fought for abortion rights and to stop apartheid. What the hell are Trinity doing, devaluing the privilege of the award by giving it to Louis Tomlinson?
Didn't they give that award to Niall as well?

The reason I thought I'd get more uptempo was, when I was performing on tour, and I got to perform on tour in 2018. Getting out on stage every night, and playing the songs...like I love going to live gigs, and there's nothing better than getting the chance to rock out. If I'm standing on stage and the whole place is looking at me, I can see the reaction on people's faces of what songs get them going. So when I went into the studio, I was just 'let's just go in and write as good of pop songs with a rock feel as we can.' And that's where all of the bigger tunes came from. I'll always be the guy with the ballads, I think. I think people know me as the fellow...Even I was working with Ryan Tedder recently and I was like 'maybe we can stick a bit of electric on that verse there' and I was coming up with all these pedals, and sounds, and music stuff. And he was just like 'you're the guy with the acoustic guitar' I was like 'fair enough, I get that.' I'm known as the guy with the acoustic and you can't lose that either. But I'm heavily influenced by rock and roll. All my favorite bands are rock bands. I do love writing sad songs and it's a lot easier to sit here and play something very sad or pick up an acoustic guitar and talk about how sad you are than it is to go in and get a full band together or sit down and get drum beats. But the older I get, the more I feel like I wanna get up on stage at arenas and play rock songs. After I played Royal Albert Hall, it gave me more of a feel for that. And when I've been in the studio since the gig, I've just been laying into the bluesier and rockier side of things, still knowing that when I sit at the piano something lovely will come out. I would like to be known to have two sounds, when you stick on the radio you kinda know what's to expect from me, and I like that in a way.

Did you know that Bressie also got the Praeses Elit Award this year? Under normal circumstances they would have had a ceremony were all the recipients would be awarded their medals. We were robbed of Nessie content!
#i knew he got his last week (or was it two weeks ago)#had the suit on and everything for it#but i didn't realize it would have been one ceremony for everyone under normal circumstances????????????????????#fuck you 2020 😤😤😤#nessie#answered#anonymous

tcdlawsoc: DU Law Society are honoured to welcome Mr Niall Horan to present him with the Praeses Elit Award.
Mr.Horan is an Irish singer and songwriter from Mullingar. He rose to prominence as a member of boyband One Direction, formed in 2010 on the X Factor. With the band, Horan claimed 4 UK number ones and sold more than 85 million records worldwide. Following the band's hiatus in 2016, Mr. Horan embarked on a solo career with Capital Records. His debut album "Flicker" debuted at number one in Ireland and the US, and his second album "Heartbreak Weather" debuted at number one in the UK, Ireland and Mexico. As a solo artist, he boasts hit singles such as "Nice to Meet Ya," "No Judgement," "This Town" and "Slow Hands."
Mr Horan is receiving the Praeses Elit Award in recognition of his incredible talent and work ethic, which is famously underscored by a distinct humility despite unthinkable success. Despite the heights he has reached, he maintains a distinct "Irishness" and affiliation with his roots. The Award aims to recognise those who empower students in their everyday lives, and Mr.Horan undoubtedly not only matches this criteria, but exceeds it.
This event is kindly sponsored by Eversheds Sutherland, the sponsors of the 2020/2021 Speaker Series.

God, when I heard about this, I was absolutely blown away. Thank you for even thinking of me. I mean, all we have to do is listen to the whole thing you just said and the recipients of this award previously, and who it was set up by, and it makes so much sense for me to accept it. Being an Irishman, there are a couple of things I like to carry around with me and I'm glad you say that I have a distinct Irishness because I'm very proud to wave the flag for Ireland all over the planet. I've tried my best to carry that around with me for the past 10 years and hopefully I can do it forever. I love being an ambassador for our great country. Another thing I like to carry around is my work ethic. I feel like I try and work very hard and I'm glad there's an award for both of those things [laughs]. But yeah, the list of recipients that you just reeled off there is just insane. And to say that I'm part of that list in such a distinct award means a lot to me and my family. Both my parents messaged me this morning to say how proud they are, and I'm proud of it as well because it's a big deal in our country and thank you very much for allowing me to be part of it.

'Something lovely?' Like the dire PALLOM, you mean? Narc Horan sure loves to brag, and his unbelievably deluded ass still thinks he can attract a big enough audience to play arenas!
