Light and Sound on the Path: If Your Eye Be Single, Your Whole Body Shall Be Full Of Light
Podcast: The Sermon on the Light -- If Your Eye Be Single, Your Whole Body Shall Be Full Of Light: I begin by sharing this unique arrangement of passages on the theme of spiritual-mystical Light attributed to Jesus found in all of the available ancient texts. I call it, "The Sermon on the Light", since it really does read, and when said out loud, sounds like a spiritual discourse on the theme of Light spoken long ago in antiquity by a spiritual Master to some of his students. Also today, a discourse on how to find your third or single eye. "If your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of Light."

Satsang Discourses from: Sawan Singh, Baba Somanath, Baba Ram Singh, and Kirpal Singh
"Love enables us to feel a kinship with all life on earth -- to feel that all are children of the same benevolent Father. All jealousy and 'otherness' disappear from the heart as soon as love comes in. Love is the path of complete self-sacrifice and giving one's heart away. Love is a constant and everlasting pull. A heart in which love has made a permanent abode is no longer subject to the mutations of time. It is free from transmigration. It is always enraptured with the ever-abiding sweetness of love. Love is a bond which can neither be loosened nor severed. Love is the vital sustenance of the world -- the life sap of our very existence. It is the foundation of purity and simplicity. Without it the world would be an abandoned wasteland. It is the vital essence that keeps our life flourishing and prosperous." (Hazur Baba Sawan Singh, My Submission)
"Until you understand the Truth, love will not enter your heart. And until the love manifests within you, that Almighty Lord, who is love personified, will not meet you. A friendship is formed when the love of the Lord and the love of the soul become one, both without and within. When your within overflows with love, then that Loving Power will be attracted to you. He will become your Friend." -- Baba Somanath Ji
Satsang And Meditation Are The Nutrients Of Our Soul, Spiritual Discourse by Baba Ram Singh (in the lineage of Baba Somanath and Huzur Baba Sawan Singh)
Santji would often say this, "Leave a hundred things and go and attend the Satsang. And leave a thousand things and sit for meditation." Because this is the true work for which God Almighty has given us this body.
All the other things that we are doing, we do for others. Whether it is nurturing of our children, it is for the children. Whether it is working in employment or farming or for a business, it is for that particular occupation or service or business. So, all of the things that we are engaged in is all work being done for others.
So, what is the work that we are really doing for ourselves for which we have been sent into this world?
Satsang and meditation are the nutrients of our soul.
Sant Ji used to often say, "Like we give food to the body, it is very important for us to give food and water for the soul."
So, the Satsang that we listen to is the water that we are giving to the soul and the Bhajan Simran that we are doing is the food that we are giving to the soul. When we give this food and water -- the Satsang and Bhajan Simran -- to the soul, the soul becomes stronger and the mind becomes weaker.
On the contrary, when we do our outward things, then the mind becomes stronger and the soul is becoming weaker. So, it is very important for us to give proper food and water to the soul.
It is very important for us to listen to Satsang every day and sit for meditation and do our Simran Dhyan Bhajan every day. Whenever we work out a schedule for the day, we should always prioritize our meditation and keep that first on the schedule and complete our meditation. And, only then, get on with the other duties.
We do the opposite. We usually give time for every other thing and then, if we have some spare time, we give it for meditation or Simran. And we often forget our Simran and meditation.
Now, when we do like this, mind becomes stronger, and then it takes us away from all of this.
As to why we do not do our meditation and we do not listen to Satsang regularly, it is because we do not have faith -- adequate faith -- in it. We do not have that much love and affection for our Master and for our Bhajan Simran. We are manifested completely outside. So, we are identifying ourselves with everything outside. We have complete faith in what we see outside and we have our full love and affection for everything that we are doing outside. And that is why we are not able to sit and do that meditation regularly and listen to Satsang regularly.
When we make it a habit of sitting regularly for our meditation and we make it a habit to listen to Satsang every day, then slowly, our mind will become weaker and we will be able to spend more time doing our meditation. And we will start enjoying that meditation more.
So, we should make it a part of our schedule, our daily schedule, and we should prioritize our Bhajan Simran and keep that as the first thing in the schedule. By doing that, our love and affection will grow towards our Master and towards Naam and meditation. And we will start, more and more, enjoying it and doing it.
So, the atmosphere is very quiet and nice and we should make the most of this. We should close our eyes and sit for our meditation.
(Morning Meditation Talk, Aug 8th, 2018, Guddella Ashram, Andhra Pradesh)
"Meditation is the process of withdrawing the attention from the world outside, and focusing it at the seat of the soul in the body, behind and between the eyebrows. This point is known as the inner eye, third eye, the single eye... In order to withdraw our attention and focus it on this point, mind must be controlled and stilled. Sit in one pose, and move not your head, limbs or eyes. Sit straight but relaxed with no tension in the body below. Sit still, please. Close your eyes as in sleep, and look sweetly, lovingly, intently into the middle of the darkness lying in front of you. You will see a dark veil. That which sees the dark veil within, without the help of your physical eyes, is the inner eye." -- Kirpal Singh
"True discipleship does not start until one has risen above body consciousness." -- Kirpal Singh
"He who has once been initiated by a competent Master is assured, once and for all, his liberation from the bondage of mind and matter; it is but a question of time. The seed of spirituality sown in him is bound to sprout and fructify. The spirituality when awakened and the spiritual experience gained must develop, and the Master Power cannot rest contented until the child owned is reared and taken home to the house of the Father.
"Man has got himself so enmeshed in mind and the outgoing faculties that his release from them can only be brought about by struggle and perseverance. His plight is, in a way, similar to that of a bird that has been kept in a cage for so many years. Even if you should open the door of the cage, the bird will be loathe to fly out. Instead, it will fly from one side of the cage to the other, clinging with its talons to the wire mesh, but it does not wish to be free and fly out through the open door of the cage.
"Similarly, the soul has become so attached to the body and the outgoing faculties that it clings to outside things and does not wish to let go of them. It does not wish to fly through the door that has been opened by the Master at the time of Holy Initiation, at the threshold of which the Radiant Form of the Master is patiently waiting to receive the child disciple. True discipleship does not start until one has risen above body consciousness." -- Sant Kirpal Singh Ji

Gurpreet Singh Rummy
Gurpreet Singh Rummy is the founder of Khalsa Help International.
Khalsa Help International’s journey started on 25th March 2020. Our Founder came up with the idea of oxygen langar when the whole nation was struggling with the oxygen crisis, which saved around 10k-12k lives and later became a global phenomenon.
He is a very great man, who has supported many people after the Covid situation. Even during the lockdown when the situation was so bad at that time it also helped many patients with wheels on oxygen and gave rations to many poor and needy people.
Khalsa Help International is a non-profit organization that helps the unfortunate. The founder of Khalsa Help was also awarded the First International Mahan Gurmat Samagam and Samaan Smaroh where 21 International and National Sikh personalities were honored and this took place on 2nd February 2022.
He came up with many new policies and programs to help Covid patients and others who need help at that very moment.
He in addition to serving humanity has also been Spending his Precious time in Sewa for any Gurudwara Sahib needing help. He helped in the construction of Lanter for the Gurudwara.
He is very well known as “OXYGEN MAN” as he is the one who is always there on duty for the patients who were not able to get access to oxygen cylinders in Covid 19 pandemic. He (Oxygen Man of India) has been Felicitated by the “Punjab Ekta Samiti”. As when everyone was scared of coming out of their home, he was the one to take a stand for all of the patients and help them with Oxygen Cylinders.
He Operates the largest Langar on Ghaziabad Border to fill the stomach of every hungry person without any difference in religion. As he is the man who thinks that everyone is similar, there is no difference based on caste, color, or religion. He has provided langar with free hospital services too.
Amid the spiraling Covid-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh, the Gurdwara Samiti of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad has started a unique initiative “oxygen langar” to help patients infected with the virus when the life-saving gas is in short supply.
The “oxygen langar” at the gurdwara was set up by Khalsa Help International and Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha.
Though the group isn’t providing cylinders for home, patients can come to the Indirapuram gurdwara and use them till their oxygen levels normalize. The group has helped 250 Covid-19 patients so far.
He said the group has managed to arrange 25 big cylinders but they aren’t enough. He also said the group doesn’t have enough empty cylinders to help those in need but will arrange more.
On the black marketing of oxygen cylinders, he said it is unfortunate that people are using a pandemic for minting money. The Samiti has published its phone numbers so that patients’ family members can take an appointment before coming to the gurdwara.
On the night of April 22, Gurpreet Singh Rummy, along with four fellow social workers, stood outside the Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, the streets around him a dystopian nightmare of death and helplessness. The 49-year-old president of Khalsa Help International (KHI), a social help group formed during the Covid lockdown in March 2020. It was something they had been planning for a week after watching hospitals turn away patients wheezing from lack of oxygen.
The challenge was to maintain a regular supply of oxygen. For this, the KHI reached out to oxygen plants located as far as Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, Haridwar in Uttarakhand, Jaipur in Rajasthan, and Ludhiana and Rupnagar in Punjab. Vehicles moved round the clock to ensure timely refilling and subsequent delivery of oxygen cylinders to the gurdwara, sometimes reaching the volunteers minutes before the supply ran out. All of this was very risky, but he stood there for each and every patient to help, without any hesitation.
Within two days, the daily number of patients coming to the gurdwara began to exceed 400. KHI volunteers, under his supervision, began using plumbing pipes to administer oxygen to 10-16 people simultaneously from one cylinder. Around 30 beds were set up within the Gurudwara to fulfill the Khalsa Help International efforts.
The langar continued till May 14. According to KHI, they helped around 15,000 Covid patients in 22 days. Of these, nearly 7,000 had arrived with their Oxygen levels as low as 50 to 60 percent. The oxygen langar has now been shifted to the Krishna Dental College in Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad with the support of Rummy Ji.
With the virus spreading in rural areas, KHI is also setting up an oxygen langar in Kashipur, Uttar Pradesh, to maximize their reach and take their services to where it is needed most.
The “oxygen langar” at the gurdwara was set up two weeks ago by Khalsa Help International and Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha. Beds, with oxygen cylinders, concentrators, and masks, have been laid out in a large tent equipped with fans and coolers. There are also chairs, in case the beds are occupied.
President of the gurdwara committee and founding member of Khalsa Help has arranged 25-30 beds at the gurdwara. More than 70 patients come there every day and they tend not to say ‘NO’ to anyone. They have also received donations from some states. But it was difficult to get oxygen cylinders but still, they have arranged them somehow.
Most of those who visit hospitals are in urgent need of oxygen but are unable to find a place in a hospital. Many wait at the gurdwara while their families look for a bed. Some patients return home as they begin to feel better, some others are unable to survive.
He said “The doors of our gurdwara are open to everyone. Many patients come when their SPO2 level has fallen considerably, and they are at a critical stage. Patients are free to use the oxygen supply until they feel better. By God’s grace, we have an adequate supply of oxygen, but even then we are unable to save some patients”.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3eSj9NqpvePxKYmkD3J3IA
Officials said despite the availability of oxygen, at least 10 patients face severe complications at the langar every day on average. Volunteers at the gurdwara said many patients are brought when they are already critical, and in need of ventilator support. When some severely ill patients stop responding, they are rushed to one of the four Covid hospitals in Indirapuram for last-minute efforts at resuscitation.
On the blocked road outside the gurdwara, on which the tent has been erected, patients sit in chairs, wearing masks with nozzles connected to oxygen cylinders. Recently, the gurdwara also set up a central oxygen supply system, like in hospitals.
He has source cylinders from Haridwar, Haryana, and other places and they send their vehicles wherever they need to. His effort is to not refuse anyone. A lot of people were doing sewa as well. Their priority was to save lives. Once a patient arrives, it takes less than a minute to set the supply up,”
Gurdwara staff — mostly volunteers from the NCR — help unload cylinders, seat patients and keep track of the oxygen stock. The gurdwara has four ambulances and a hearse van and offers its services for free.

Places to explore in Gwalior during your central India tours
This is the must visit the temple during your central India tours. The Sun Temple is also a major tourist attraction in Gwalior. It is the temple for Lord Surya. Apart from this, the city of Gwalior is also called the Tapobhoomi of Galav Rishi.
Once King Surajsen Pal fell seriously ill, then a saint named Gualipa healed him and gave him a new life. Then the city of Gwalior has been named after him.
Gwalior city is famous for forts. This city is known as the pearl of the necklace of the forts of India. Your India Tour will be incomplete without this.
Fort of Gwalior:
Gwalior Fort is a huge and grand fort. Its height is 35 meters. From the inscription, we know that this fort must have been there from the 6th century or earlier. And red sandstones are in use to build this. Gibraltar of India is the other name of this fort.
Sightseeing inside Gwalior Fort:
Karna Mahal:
Kirti Singh, the second ruler of the Tomar dynasty built this. Another name of Kirti Singh was also Karan Singh. Hence this palace was named after him. It is two-storeyed, rectangular, and built-in Hindu style.
Man Singh Palace:
Man Singh Mahal is the most attractive, beautiful, and grand palace. It is a 4-story palace decorated with flowers, leaves, animals, and colorful carvings. It is also known as Patent House. There is also around the prison on going inside this palace. It was a saying that Aurangzeb killed his brother Murad at this place.
Vikram Mahal:
King Vikramaditya Singh, the son of Maharaja Man Singh, built this mahal.
Jahangir Mahal & Shah Jahan Mahal:
Both these palaces are inside the Gwalior Fort. Both of them were built at different times by the Mughal rulers.
Bhim Singh Raja's umbrella:
Raja Bhim Singh Rana was the Jat king of Gohad. His successor Chhatra Singh built this as a memorial to him.
Gurdwara Sri Data Bandi Chhor Sahib:
Shri Data Bandi Chhor Sahib Gurdwara is present inside the Gwalior Fort. It is a famous Gurudwara built in the memory of Hargobind Singh. The name of this gurudwara was Data Bandi Chhod Sahib because Guru Gobind Sahib had freed 52 Hindu kings from Jahangir's captivity.
Teli Ka Mandir:
This is present inside the Gwalior Fort. It is the tallest temple with a height of about 30 meters. It was mainly a temple of Lord Vishnu.
The architecture of this temple is a mixture of South and North Indian styles.

Eighty pillared step-wells:
Inside the fort, you will find a step well with eighty pillars. Raja Man Singh Tomar built this to store water. There was a separate room for the bathing of the queens. It is said in this step well that there is also an underground way. But now it is closed.
Siddhachal Jain Temple Caves:
Inside the Gwalior Fort, you will find the caves of Siddhachal Jain Temple to visit.

‘Udham Singh symbol of unity’, says Navjot Singh Sidhu | Ludhiana News - Net4News
PATIALA: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday visited the memorial of Udham Singh at Rauza Sharif in Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, and paid obeisance to the martyr. He described Udham Singh as a “yug purush” and urged people to take inspiration from the martyrs. “After a long interval, a mother gives birth to a yug purush, who in the form of an institution guides the nation and humanity,” he said. He said guided by the Guru Sahib’s thinking, which terms both committing and tolerating tyranny as a sin, Udham Singh finished a tyrant who turned atrocious to public at Jallianwala Bagh. “He gave a message that we never bow down to tyranny. Udham Singh also kept his name as Ram Mohammad Singh Azad and conveyed the message of universal communion and this communion is also the spirit of the Constitution of our country,” he said. “In view of the sentiments of Udham Singh, his remains were brought back from England in 1974, almost 27 years after his martyrdom and the part of remains were brought in a golden urn and buried in the holy land of Fatehgarh Sahib in July 1974, where it remains a martyr’s memorial today,” said Sidhu, Sidhu said that the name of the martyr respected all religions and was a reflection of Punjabiyat. “Religions, languages, cultures may be different, but we are all in family unity. Today, no one is separate and the whole of Punjab is united in the memory of the martyr. We should take inspiration from martyrs and dedicate our lives to the service of humanity,” he added. The All India Congress Committee general secretary and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat Saturday said that chief minister Amarinder Singh was informed about Navjot Singh Sidhu's appointment as next head of party's state unit, News18 reported.
The report also quoted Congress sources as saying that the Captain has refused to meet Sidhu until he apologises for his "derogatory tweets and interviews".
According to sources, the official announcement of Sidhu's appointment is expected to be made on Saturday through a press release.
Rawat also informed Singh that three to four working presidents of the chief minister's choice would also be appointed along with Sidhu, sources said.
Meanwhile, Rawat, after meeting Singh on Saturday, said that the chief minister has assured him that he will honour any decision taken by the party president.
"I have just returned to Delhi after meeting Amarinder Singh Ji. I am glad that a lot of the things that are being discussed have been proven pointless and Captain Sahib has reiterated his important statement, that any decision taken by the Congress president will be acceptable to all," the AICC general secretary in-charge of Punjab said.
1/2 pic.twitter.com/bBSvCCbfV2

Amarinder says any decision by Congress chief will be acceptable to all
In the backdrop of simmering tensions in the Punjab Congress unit, Singh on Saturday stated that any decision taken by the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi will be "acceptable" to all.
Singh made the statement amid speculation over likely elevation of disgruntled former minister Navjot Singh Sidhu as the state Congress chief.
Rawat flew down to Chandigarh as tensions escalate in the Congress' Punjab unit over differences between Singh and Sidhu.
.”Had a fruitful meeting with @harishrawatcmuk. Reiterated that any decision of @INCIndia Presìdent will be acceptable to all. Raised certain issues which he said he’ll take up with @INCIndia president”, @capt_amarinder pic.twitter.com/UGOrSbJbeR
— Raveen Thukral (@RT_MediaAdvPBCM) July 17, 2021

The chief minister was later quoted by his media adviser Raveen Thukral as saying that he had a fruitful meeting with Rawat.
"'Had a fruitful meeting with @harishrawatcmuk. Reiterated that any decision of @INCIndia Presdent will be acceptable to all. Raised certain issues which he said he'll take up with @INCIndia president,' @capt_amarinder, (sic)" the official tweeted.
Rawat reached Chandigarh in a chopper around 12 noon and went straight to the chief minister's farm house in Mohali.
Sidhu meets Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar
Earlier in the morning, Sidhu met Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar. The cricketer-turned-politician left his residence in Patiala and reached Jakhar's residence in Panchkula about 65 km away around 10.45 am, an aide said.
After the meeting, which lasted more than half-an-hour, Sidhu said Jakhar is his elder brother and a guiding force. Jakhar, in turn, described Sidhu as a capable man.
Sidhu had met Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi on Friday in an apparent bid to arrive at a truce formula over the state unit revamp.
After meeting Jakhar, Sidhu met other party leaders, including some ministers, in Chandigarh. He reached out to Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu and senior party leader Lal Singh, who are considered close to chief minister.
Punjab CM expressed reservations over likely elevation of Navjot Sidhu as PPCC president
The visit is being seen as an effort to placate Singh, who wrote a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday. He reportedly said that giving the post of state party chief to Sidhu, a Jat Sikh, would upset the party's senior leaders representing the Hindu community and harm the party's prospects in the 2022 Assembly elections.
Sidhu, a former BJP MP, had joined the Congress ahead of the 2017 state election. There are reports that he is likely to be made Punjab Congress chief. However, Singh has expressed his displeasure over Sidhu being given a key post, said the sources.
There is also talk of appointing two working presidents - a Dalit and a Hindu face to balance the caste equations.
The names of minister Vijay Inder Singla and MP Santokh Chaudhary were doing the rounds for the post of working presidents.
The chief minister is a Jat Sikh. Currently, Sunil Jakhar is the PPCC president.
Amid continued internal feud in the state unit of the Congress, Sidhu on Friday met party president Gandhi in Delhi.
Congress leader and chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan urged the party to have a representation of the Hindu community on key posts in the state unit.
"Punjab Congress president - Jat Sikh (if Sidhu is made state Congress chief). CM - Jat Sikh. Punjab Youth Congress President - Jat Sikh Campaign Committee Chairman- Jat Sikh, Hindu kaha hai (where is the representation of the Hindu community)?" he tweeted.
Sidhu has been at loggerheads with Singh and he had attacked the chief minister over the alleged delay in justice in the 2015 sacrilege and subsequent police firing incidents.

Gurudwara Nirmal Kutiya Building, Karnal

Gurudwara Nirmal Kutiya Building in Karnal, India
Gurudwara Nirmal Kutiya by Space Race Architects in India has won the WA Award, 34th Cycle for the realized category. The contemporary take of this Gurdwara creates its presence internationally and is visited by a good number of pilgrims having ardent faith in Sikhism from across the globe.
Anciently Sikhism, as a religion did not have any particular symbol of architecture in their spiritual structures like Gurdwara. For instance, where Guru Nanak Dev. Ji (The founder of Sikhism) was born, it was originally a residence and due to lack of knowledge and resources unluckily it couldn’t be restored and halls of Gurdwara came up with elements of architecture that were prevalent at that time mostly derived from Muslim and Persian architecture.
The land, upon which this Gurudwara is built was a graveyard anciently. The same came into notice as skeleton pieces were found while digging the foundation. Today, it plays a vital role in spiritual incarnation as the religious symbol resides here and a positive ambience is spread across. The firm did not charge a penny for designing this project as it was considered as a responsibility of giving back to the society.
Also, the construction activity was supported by Volunteers of nearby areas, who wanted to contribute and add value to the beginning of a new abode of God. It is the vision of the Principal Architect that- after a centenary, when visitors shall pay homage to this sacred place. The contemporary nature of the building and palatial interior design will take them down to the memory lane of the 21st-century architecture of a Gurdwara.
Contemporary elements of the building include cantilever slabs, linear block with travertine look – Vitrified Wall tiles cladding, and a large glass for transparency at the exterior façade. A skeleton Dome marks the pinnacle of the Gurdwara and solely depicts its presence from a distance. There is a splendid fountain erected outside the main entrance directly aligned with the dome above.
A water source is prevalent on both the ends of the sanctuary to witness its reflection and create a sensory vibration for the visitors. One can see the refraction of a floating ‘Nishan Sahib’ (Sacred symbol at the top of a flagpole) with onyx light at the bottom. Further, the building cantilever playfully subtracts the flagpole to cross through it and can be related to the power of God. This flagpole truly depicts the contemporary element of Sikh Architecture being a symbol of triumph and unity.
On a more holistic note, there is a provision of a free kitchen as well. It plays a vital role in Sikhism. It is a common saying that “one can worship well, when one’s stomach is full”. For consuming Langar (food) everybody sits down on the same level which somehow also hints at the ideology that ‘all humans are equal in front of the almighty’. Also, there are window openings created from three sides to invite everybody irrespective of caste, creed, and color.
The interior of the building is beautifully canvased with chandeliers, blind pointed arches at the rear wall, floral-patterned carpet floors, and shades of beige at the embellishments. There is also an opulent use of the diffused sunlight from the east direction that adds spiritual ambience with the interplay of light and shadow. The arches are lifted from the old Gurdwara structures to get a reminiscence of the antique while giving a new touch. In this hall, the arches also have storage, so that the speakers and other instruments can be stored behind them.
