Idk how to do this ive never did an ask before but could you yap abt ur hg ocs (ik i said that terrible but *😿*)
(Ur good pooks don't worry u said it well)
So my main oc's name is Prada Nymph and she's from district 3! She has an older brother named Richard, but everyone calls him Richie. Their parents died during a factory accident when Prada was only 4 years old, Richie at 6. After at, Richie told Prada just to "keep smiling, everything will be okay soon." And she took that a tad to literally. Prada is never seen withoutna smile, even when whe gets bullied for it. They went to a community home until Richie picked up a small job at 8 years old for district 3's quarter quell victor, Belle. Belle eventually adopts them, because they somehow wormed their way into her cold heart and stuck there. Prada is 14 years old when she gets reaped for the 39th games, along side with a boy named Michael. Prada's birthday lands on the exact day of the games, so Richie gives her a kazoo for her early birthday present. It is here where in the first time in years, she breaks her smile and cries. Her and Michael become friends, because Prada's bubbly, somewhat insane personality is hard to ignore, even with someone who is as nervous as Michael.
When her games start, the announcer says, "Oh and, Happy birthday Prada." Her games take place in an abandoned construction site, filled with machinery, old warehouses and other various things you'd find at a construction site. She manages to grab a knife at the cornucopia, when the girl from 4 tackles her into a ditch filled with trash and such. This is where she gets a jagged scar across the right side of her face. She kills the girl by tricking her into jumping at her, just for her to step aside and the girl gets shredded by the wood chipper. "Well, what a lovely birthday I'm having!" She exclaimed to the sky. Prada struggles out of the ravine, seeing how she was pretty bruised and battered, when Michael helps her up. He leads her to his and the girl from district 6, Mary's, hide away. Mary is the fiercest one out of the 3, and is great with a sword. Their alliance lasts days, seeing how the other tributes were hunting each other, when district 2 comes along. During these few days, Mary, somehow, fell for Prada and her clinically insane personality. She sacrifices herself to save them, not without leaving a kiss to Prada's lips first. The following night, Prada breaks her smile again. Over the course of the next few days, Prada and Michael stay at an abandoned warehouse, when Prada gets the idea to start up the wrecking ball crane up. Coming from district 3, they knew how to work machines. They get super close to finishing, but they still need a few parts. They get a sponsor, and Prada heads outside to grab it. In the mean while, district 2 again sneaks up on Michael, gutting him, slitting his throat and hanging him. Prada comes back in, stopping her made up song.
Prada is now hyper aware of everything, which means she hears d2's boy step out of hiding and attempt to throw his spear at her. She sidesteps and grabs the spear, taking a running, leaping start at the boy and reaptingly impaling his stomach. In an act of anger, she tears off his arm with the spear, just in time to start for d2's girl, who gets impaled so many times you couldn't even recognize her, all the while yelling, "did you do this? Was this you? Which one of you killed him? Which one!? Which one of you killed Mary!?". She falls over laughing maniacally. Prada promises to Micheal's dead body, and to Mary, that she'll win.
In the finale, she leads d1's tributes and d4's boy to where the wrecking ball is. She splatters their gutts and blood to the walls of the warehouse. She's crowned victor qt 15 years old, laughing and saying "I did it! Michael, Mary I did it! Richie! I'm coming home! Belle! I-I did it!" Until she loses her voice and the hovercraft comes to pick her up.
(I would keep going but then I'd run out of room eventually and we'd be here all day.)

Come On Now - CC
Tumblr media
Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: Caitlin being super proud you are her wife (based off of THIS request)
Warnings: fluff, Caitlin as wife
Word Count: 2.4k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: Hope you all enjoy!
It is the night of the draft and you could not be more excited for Caitlin. The two of you had been anticipating this night for weeks now and it has finally arrived.
You were currently with her family as she was getting ready for one of the biggest nights of her life. The two of you are texting back and forth - both excited and nervous about how the night is about to unfold. There is no doubt that she will be drafted, but knowing that this also holds a big shift to both of your lives is what has you nervous with anticipation of what that looks like. As you text her, you keep her updated on how her family is doing. In return, she sends photos of her getting ready.
She is being dressed by Prada which is sort of a big deal. The two of you talked about it the night before. Caitlin was super excited to be sporting a boxy satin blazer and matching satin pants. The two of you were eating takeout in your shared hotel room and she was telling you about it. She also mentioned how she was going to be wearing a sequined crop top under the blazer. You knew she was going to look amazing regardless of what she was wearing. The two of you spent the night talking about how your journey got to this point.
You met Caitlin in high school and ended up going to college together. It was in college that your relationship really grew into one that eventually led to marriage. The two of you got married the summer before senior year in the backyard of your childhood home. It was a smaller wedding that really only had family and some close friends. It was perfect for the two of you.
Caitlin's game senior year took off as she began breaking records and drawing massive attention to women's basketball. It made for a very interesting first year of marriage but everything that the two of you faced only grew your relationship.
As you arrive at the draft, you meet up with some of Caitlin's teammates and grab a few drinks. Once her family arrives, you connect with them to take your seats at Caitlin's table. You shoot Caitlin a text saying you all made it and can't wait to see her. They had tableside service for all of the people at the player's tables while the girls were arriving on the orange carpet. They came around offering some pretty tasty apps. The last message you sent Caitlin is that you saved her a few of the appetizers in a napkin just in case they stopped serving them before she got there.
Meanwhile, Caitlin is making her way down the orange carpet getting stopped by all sorts of questions.
"Caitlin, who do you got winning a 3-point contest? Yourslef blindfolded or a prime Shaq?" The interviewer asks and Cait lets out a little laugh.
"Shaq," she says without hesitation.
"Really?" The interviewer asks.
"Yeah I mean I - blindfolded is crazy. I can't see the rim. Shaq, I'll let Shaq take that." Caitlin says with confidence.
She thanks the interviewer and heads to the next. Before she is out of earshot, she hears the interviewer tell one of the other girls that everyone said Caitlin Clark, and the only person who said Shaq was Caitlin herself.
When she heads to the next, they hand her a mini ESPN mic for her to use to answer.
"How many unread text messages do you have right now?" The interviewer asks as Caitlin pulls out her phone.
"33 right now, not bad." She says as she gets a glimpse of who has been texting her.
"Who is the last person who has texted or called you?" The interviewer asks hoping the girl in front of her would be willing to share.
"The last person to text me was..." She looks at her phone and lets out an uncontrolled laugh. She sees your message about saving her some food in a napkin. "It's a text from my wife," Caitlin says without thinking much about it. "She texted me letting me know that she saved me some of the appetizers they were serving just in case I don't get there in time." Your wife was full-on exposing you right now and you had no idea.
The interviewer has so many more questions as this is the first time Caitlin has ever mentioned anything about a wife in any interview that they know of up to this point and they want to ask more about the subject but Caitlin is ushered to move on.
A few of the interviewers around her begin to crowd her and ask her about her comment about her wife. Caitlin was not expecting that to be such a surprise as it has never been a secret. But it has also never been explicitly stated.
The girl that was posted with Caitlin to keep her moving decides it is too much for the space and leads Caitlin inside. Once they are out of the orange carpet she turns to Caitlin.
"Well that was a fun announcement," she says leading her to her table and to you.
"It's not a secret or anything," Cait says not really understanding the weight of her comment.
"It's not bad, just be prepared to get more questions regarding her." Caitlin just shrugs and begins to look for you and her family.
Once she sees you, you stand to greet her. She goes to hug her parents and brothers first then does a little waddle up to you and allows you to wrap her in your arms.
It is how she always walks up to you - almost childlike. It is one of your favorite things ever. It is even better right now because she is wearing a little heel which makes her even taller than she already is. Your arms wrap around her neck and her arms come wrap around your torso.
As you sit, you are excited to pass her the food you saved for her. You grab it from the napkin and put it in front of her. She laughs at how excited you are about this out of all things on this night, you are excited about this.
"So I may or may not have just let the world know that we are married," she says as she takes a bite of the bread.
"It's not like we were hiding it," you say with a little laugh.
"That's what I was saying, but the girl who was guiding me through the carpet said that was some groundbreaking news," Caitlin says with a shrug. You shrug as well as you lean over to give her a little peck before taking a piece of her bread.
"Hey! You saved this for me," she says trying to keep the rest of the food away from you.
"Yes but you love me and I love bread," you say leaning into your girl and trying to get another bite. Caitlin folds as she brings the bread to you so you can take a bite.
"You are unbelievable," Caitlin says as she brings you into her and kisses your head.
Caitlin is the first one drafted, heading to the Indiana Fever. This is what you and the family were expecting and are beyond ecstatic when her name is called. After hugging everyone at the table she heads up. When she walks off the stage she heads to a press table.
"Caitlin, Caitlin! You are the first to be drafted tonight, how are you feeling?" One of the interviewers asks.
"I feel great," she starts. "This night means so much to me and it overall just an emotional night. I have dreamed about getting here and now that it is happening, I am just trying to soak it all in and not rush through any of it."
"Caitlin, you mentioned earlier that you have a wife. This was news to a lot of us, is she excited about how tonight unfolded?" Another reporter asks.
"Ya, she is super pumped that we will be going to Indiana. There is a lot of opportunity for both of us there. She has been my biggest supporter since high school so being here now and knowing she is with me when I head into the WNBA, there is no feeling like it." Caitlin answers.
There are a few more questions asked before she heads back and is taken to other interviews and press moments. The night comes to a close at a restaurant with friends.
While you are there, Caitlin and you end up taking some cute photos which both of you end up posting. You weren't going to miss the opportunity to show off your hot wife in a Prada suit.
Over the next few weeks, the media goes absolutely insane with Cailtin coming out and saying she has a wife. Your social media has blown up and the amount of posts that have appeared with you and Caitlin in them has been insane. It was really neat to see how much love Caitlin's fan base has but at the same time - you have had to limit yourself because even with all the love, there has also been so much hate.
Caitlin's first game is tonight. You are incredibly thankful that it is a home game. You look forward to getting to travel to see your girl play but for her first one, there is just something special about being in their new home that makes it even more exciting.
You decide to sport Caitlin's new Indiana Fever jersey to the game. When you get there you join in with the other wives and significant others. You are thankful when Danielle comes over and takes you to sit with her.
Seeing how Erica Wheeler has taken Caitlin in during training, it was only fitting that her wife Daniella take you in when it came to supporting their wives at games.
The game starts and Cait is locked in, not a nerve seen on her face or in her body. Her whole career was prepping her for this moment.
Your leg taps as you watch your girl do what she does best, dominate on the court. During the first quarter, Caitlin puts up 10 points - 6 of them from deep threes. It is something else seeing her play at this level.
The second quarter isn't much different, she puts up another 3, this time from the logo. Classic. You stand and cheer her on as she really feeling herself which brings you so much pride.
The third quarter is when things really start to heat up, she has 4 assists in this quarter alone. Not only that but she puts up 2 threes - both from pretty deep, taking a foul on one. She seems unstoppable and the crowd is eating it up.
In the fourth quarter, the defense guards her harder, but Caitlin being Caitlin reads the game and is able to be the playmaker during this quarter. She uses her team, passes well, and makes plays happen. She gets one final 3 from the logo to close out the game.
The Fever takes the win and the crowd comes down to the court.
You make your way to the court, looking for Caitlin. She finds you before you find her. And when she does, she brings you into the biggest hug, squeezing all the air you had in you out. You tap her shoulder to signal for her to release you. When she does, you lean back and give her the same look you have since high school. It is the 'I am so proud of you' look that holds so much love for the girl. She smiles at you and you let her go to celebrate with her team.
You make your way to the tunnel with Danielle.
"So how does it feel mama?" Danielle asks, knowing there is nothing like the first game.
"Exhilarating," you say. "There is never a time she doesn't make me proud."
"She sure makes her presence known in the WNBA, I am looking forward to how she continues to push us on the map," Danielle says as she walks you into a room that is playing the press conference.
Caitlin comes in and sits in between Aliyah and Erica. A smile plastered on her face.
"Caitlin! Caitlin, you just came in and dominated in your first WNBA game. What was going through your head?" One of the reporters asks.
"Uhh well, I came here to play and that is exactly what I did." Caitlin puts it plainly.
"You came in and made a statement for sure. You played tremendously - what had you playing the way you did?" Another reporter asks.
"Well, my pretty little lady was in the stands. You know I had to go out there and give my all for her, come on now," she says with a little smirk. "That's how I got her attention in college and can't lose it now, gotta keep her coming back."
Caitlin says this and it causes you to laugh. She talks like you have an option of not coming to watch her.
The reporters continue to ask questions to the team. When they are done with press and get to come back to head out for the night. YOu meet Cait.
"Hey babe," your wife says as she approaches you. She brings you to her side and kisses the top of your head.
"So you gotta keep me coming back, eh?" You ask her, pointing at her first post-game press conference. She shakes her head and hides her face in your neck, placing a little kiss just under your ear. When she brings her face out, you see the slightest blush grace her cheeks.
"Well ya, don't want you getting bored," Caitlin says, slightly embarrassed at what she said.
"CC, I will never get over watching you," you say as you take her hand into yours.
"Good," she says and walks you out of the stadium.
"I married you didn't I?" You say teasing her. "But I hope you never stop trying to impress me."
She lets your hand go, bringing you into her side again wanting to be closer to you.
"How did I get so lucky with you?" Caitlin asks.
"You shot multiple logo threes in high school to shut up a crowd of boys," you say giving her side a little poke.
She laughs the most adorable laugh and takes you home.
AN: I really like the idea of cute Caitlin. Please let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

Behind "The Devil Wears Prada": Stanley Tucci's Surprising Career Lull
Tumblr media
Behind "The Devil Wears Prada": Stanley Tucci's Surprising Career Lull In the glitzy world of Hollywood, success can be a double-edged sword. Stanley Tucci, the much-admired actor of "The Devil Wears Prada" fame, recently shared insights into the unexpected challenges his career faced after the blockbuster's release. Despite starring alongside icons like Meryl Streep and newcomer Anne Hathaway in the 2006 hit—which raked in over $326 million globally—Tucci experienced an unforeseen decline in job offers. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Tucci revealed, “After ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ I couldn’t get a job, and I didn’t quite understand that, but that’s just the way it was.” While "The Devil Wears Prada" propelled Hathaway into stardom, Tucci found himself navigating roles in less acclaimed films such as “Four Last Songs” and “What Just Happened.” However, Tucci's perseverance eventually shone through. He earned an Oscar nomination for his chilling role in Peter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones,” displaying his vast range and talent. Tucci acknowledges the fluctuating nature of his career, attributing some gaps to personal issues. During the filming of "Prada," his first wife, Kate Tucci, was fighting cancer, a battle she eventually lost in 2009. This personal tumultuousness intertwined with his professional journey, adding layers to his decisions and career trajectory. Adding to his personal struggles, Tucci also fought his own health battle in 2017 when he faced an oral cancer diagnosis. Reflecting on these turbulent times, Tucci shared the deleterious impact it had on his energy and career. “Having been sick six years ago, that threw a wrench into the works for a while, and then you slowly get back,” he told Vanity Fair. In recent years, Tucci successfully reinvented himself, venturing into the culinary world with the Emmy-winning travel series “Searching for Italy.” Moreover, his personal life found joy as he married Felicity Blunt, sister of his “Devil Wears Prada” co-star Emily Blunt. The resilience of this skilled actor is a testament to his unwavering passion for the craft. When asked about a potential return in a "Prada" sequel, Tucci chose to remain cryptically silent, fueling fan anticipation. In a world where fame is fleeting, Tucci’s story is one of perseverance and adaptability. As Hollywood continues to evolve, his journey serves as an inspiring reminder that the road to success is rarely a straight line. Ned owns the show (he bought his wife on ebay)
Ned: so i heard you like confrontational/avoidant situation problems on your blog, how about this for smarts *winks*
okay, so heres the 24th Doctor (Dean Lewis)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he is an Australian singer/songwriter
Tumblr media
now that is a question on Ned's parade (as River Sea) baby, define me
Tumblr media
he the pooch owner a man guarantees if you met him on Somebody City (same person, so Pushing Daisies is Somebody City (Bowie's PI (private investigation)) now it lives under an erotic syndrome that he was looking after the pooch he never had (Bowie himself) that he may meet his actual father again (how do i say goodbye). he has another wife now (Dean's mom).
Tumblr media
actually River Sea in a metamorph veil (cartoon), she knows how to intuitively train society via dogs, so that is what she used to do now until she becomes one with her soul right now, the veil mistress is Dean Lewis as her being her for her (not even attached to of the world of the selves being apart by influence of death become him (male/female doppelganger selves looking for a nightmare complex: so that is highly dangerous if met)
note: Dean Lewis is a great guy, intuitively he is me. so if you know me, i never intend to hurt in every single way, i guide (hence my blog name) i know my heart
Tumblr media
Emerson is guiding you, he know my blog! my nigga
my blog got the same ambience of a 50's TV show *smiles in joy*, i'm proud i made it
Tumblr media
bro is singing 'how do i say goodbye' in his sleep, like he actually died of a heart attack til Ned revived him off word to intuition ailment (joy to hate prosperity) so this is real life physics now in the show, like that shit science. get Richard Hammond on working on a new series of Braniac without exposing the bald guy in the middle to some weird test of his own
sounding black? i am black
Tumblr media
FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU desi white goreh (now Emerson can listen to Vincent Donoforio whining, that's the best Prada any man can get from a fat whyte guy on TV for too long with a skinny lil red brunt he calls his best friend, now i don't use the punctuation to intuitively tie ur shit together said the bitch on the side barking back, HHAHA)
Tumblr media
city is a lil too blight for a white surburban fantasy to blind eye a black woman, now this is racist going normal (ur welcome Marvel)
Tumblr media
HELLCOME TO DOCTOR WHO HARLEM LIMA MY BITCH
SHE INTUITIVELY SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL 3D EYED UR ASS IN REAL TIME, NIGGA
Tumblr media
BIMBHOE KNOWS MY RESPONSEEEEEEEEE SHE GETTN JUUUUUHHDGD
Tumblr media
Digby is Rogue now Jesse St. James (u can tell he has an O'ner *wink wink*)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he now the desi yt gorls on my blogs new favourite dog owner cuz he speaks for the pooch wuvin industwee more than u do <3 <3 <3, like the boundaries i speak for you that goes up is that you eventually find a man on TV speaking your religion without you even speaking it and it is true, don't limit your choices if you're thinking, like stay inspired but look at how his curiosity actually matches the way he is about his own world in the end. he takes away that ache in your heart by comparing a heartbreaker to a 'bitch' he is apart from (she has a sharp tongue and a divine taste for reason) stimulating growth from your mother's interest to keep being herself (her Daddy knows best, if ya get me)
Tumblr media
note: Inshaa Allah, i will annotate Criminal Minds for the world of me in future now, but you already know that in your algorithm, you may have seen dog versions of the cast of Criminal Minds, and that poodle is str8 away Penelope (River 9) being in the care of the 24th Doctor, now that was in procession cuz River was let down by the realistic dreams of her life in the 50's (hence her personality on CM being much ado nothing: Shakespeare's take on the universe was present in Hotch the entire time)
and that was how Kirsten Vangsness got pissed for sabotaging the team much quicker than Jake Peralta saying 'aye' cuz he did not go to his Dad in what he calls 'daycare' to where the BAU was citing sources the entire time (...they set the algorithm, like i'll teach you how it is done from Penelope's (actually the scribe) perspective if you'll never watch crime drama's the same way again) but what the Hundin wife dog trainer was explaining was the montage of her life of a stuffed animal being like that back to you (being in control is knowing all stuffed animals are taken care of) stuffed society is huggable in the end, like that is a one up to the 'mobile phone' used by Hotch to get Peralta (B99) back in control, Peralta has a point, hence why it is not even made for 'grown ups'. he does not want to take that much too seriously if he is 'aching for his mum' (future wife) like i'll set boundaries to be a gun at some point, but i'll teach you how to shoot
Tumblr media
please give Penelope Garcia a break (locational battery for rural areas in south eastern countries) she does not wait days to socialise like a baby anymore, like her cuteness holds hostility which is why Reid (played by Matthew Gray Gubler) liked her too much, and what the black screenshot said above, she likes commercialism in her life as any man would but that would make Hotch legally able to adopt dogs on his team to expediate Garcia's (basically replace her for long-term til her contract goes global by foreign network via area-51 -X-Files territory-) life abroad (annual leave)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
everything Abed never said about the Glee cast was overheard, which is why (Danny Pudi) never scored Harper a chance but initially Rachel is brutally scared of her life as a co-parent to Anne Hathaway's alternate (still Pushing Daisies POV) going on that Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly in 'the Devil wears Prada' movie) was how Miranda Priestly got poisoned there and Anne's character (Andrea Sachs) actually got her coffee delivered on time (her life as a designer was forgetting the series of events that Pushing Daisies (now Somebody City if you scroll down to see a Bowie inspired fairytale life of the intake of human personas taking a shy narrative of the events of time in the Lithgow border) collides with The Devil Wears Prada being Pushing Daisies with a heartbreaking narrative to River Sea's life (River 14 finding love was a rough mark for Hathaway's life since knowing everybody took kindness that even Priestly (Streep) admired her deeply for that her life beyond (actress of the event) takes more than passion to make a community whole (judgement for the right reasons of being an articulate granddaughter of ... and you instinctively know their roots by compliance to the untima moral code of living, there is no red lines in typing when finding the right words takes a feeling in how screens change situations faster than the world meets the eye with sexual prerogative (energy of the universe to you) is met with sincere friendship with your body like you (where most designers fail is finding love is their deepest interest with meeting cruel remarks from Miranda Priestly (judge of vocational interest) is taking shitty fabric first but adding an aesthetical reason to be and you are. So Miranda likes her company to be like the world breaks you by sincerity to your own personal philosophy that changes your way of thinking but a deep hatred of your personal environment without ever being a dick. (says Pudi's rhetorics towards the fashion community is why he never chose to backbite his mother irl cuz he spent his entire time in creating a movie so good that readers forget... when a woman his age further than him by physiological matters takes the crown is how Hollywood hates levelling with wealth but sincerity meeting Priestly being a friend of the... XYZ and you don't need to convinc- no, she likes you, you have a hatred for work but.... you don't like... working.. and thats how (River 16) was making the 14th River feel better since the clocks work on Tarot physiology, so that's 78 major arcana intakes her personality til a River becomes the Sea (Song becomes first River alternate post-doctor's storyline after he 'dies with her' so it's now a Song War (her new name). JEFF WINGER'S VERSATILITY is in how far he never made it to Abed's career the entire time since now good Desi men now struggle with the 'my last girlfriend i had was for good measure to save a life (viewer) than perceiving the sister in a bad way (islamic intent is how the world is not accurately measured by narcissism anymore cuz he knew) that reminder with Brie Larson is how Pudi caters analogues of purity back to the coffee poisoning incident that gave him a reason to outwrite the dream (Nolan's ideology) TROY AND ABED IN TH-
that's how
Tumblr media
'the royal wife' (a rich spontaneous gay man on Glee) Kurt Hummel is now the literal conversation every man has when it is done to committing to social values, so it is heavily pursued by watching drag clips on tiktok or watching drag race on youtube for that matter in their reference, that is applying to a school they know all versatility counts in all E.T. ways (via the movie to possible reality) but nobody ever talked deeply about Stranger Things (what PD is trying to find a viable reason for River Sea is that she is the alternate product reality of a reasonable esoteric complaint of the Demagorgon from ST, that likes her back cuz creation kills)
Tumblr media
youtube
stranger things (crisis on infinite earths: DC) actually is now a plan for the New World Order
fun fact: Eddie Munson (that guy above) is actually
youtube
this guy (know your heart too well and Allah will invite you 'books' of sources of peoples lives in acute attention (Allah's mercy is the secret to longevity of mortal life, but never ask anyone of their age, may Allah have mercy on them all)
Tumblr media
80's kids don't take shit for granted
heres the scapegoats of 'The Pie Hole':
Ned = the dead man (he fucked a corpse to life and it is his wife: Marvel's Punisher)
Olive = Kristin Chenoweth star of TV and stage worldwide premiere (she does not take shit from anybody that even a young Meryl Streep is afraid of her)
Chuck = peach -Kirby- (cutest reason to be alive)
Emerson = Sassparilla demagorgon (he knows shit)
Charles twins = nigga 1 and 2 (actually the members of the hit TV show Glee that got into a freak accident, just the bob head girl knows shit more than SHE does, that's me :Harper Oberlin:)
Digby = Rogue from Doctor Who (the cat is with Halle Berry's catwoman to Linna's Raven: literally the reason why the universe ends with her community on the line: desi)
Pigeon = Demi Lovato (bitch)
now that's Winona Horowitz life done
Tumblr media
Sue Sylvester runs a blackmail industry by the creams names used in the cheese factory she took over from (Panda Cheese: egyptian brand)
youtube
so this is how Will Schuester pays the debt for Finn's sins (Rachel Berry's Adam finding her way to Harper's Dad's funeral) so, it is the jazz musician now choir teacher's fault for not giving Finn solid advice for his pubescent break-out (some things are not meant to be discussed by the therapist since he is practicing to keep Harper's life (in which Schue promised) to keep his life in touch with his love for the arts (which is why Cory Monteith is not dead) and how in every single universe since Stranger Things, Schue found a way to cheat time by avoiding the obvious (which you know now that Harper had almost lost her life at some point in Doctor Who via Rogue) which Sue philosophises heavily about cows having best friends (gamma the part about Sue being too OP that makes her a 'bitch' but Harper primordially has a degree in 'bitch philosophy' that makes her alternate Sue (Jo) a student and a Miss Honey to her Matilda *where the Glee cast lives with when studying apart til Harper's marriage to Jesse on TV* and Sue a reason to amplify her primordial status in outdoing the Olympics via infinity upgrades to outnumber Will in the primordial event of Vecna via ST being him that was the reason that TV show worlds ended cuz he wanted to be a die hard fan of N-SYNC resembling Justin Timberlake pretty hard that he ended up doing a McDonalds commercial to avoid a lawsuit from Harper's association with Britney Spears growing up with Linna's theory of premature groupings of loneliness and TV heartbreak *outcasts from social dimensions of a pushing daisy*)
Tumblr media
how is life so heartbreaking to be in a place where murder is so unacceptable in the 50's that casually the 4 Hundin wives are somehow in jail and theres no gritty nitty dark fairytale of the piemaker who is actually forgotten at some point but Chuck carried it on, not like the cutest character on the block had something to do with it, but the 16th Doctor (Grimm) had nothing to do with Linna (actress of HSJ) so he actually liked her and rejected all other variants of her in the future (you've yet to know) so Chuck fought him for all time (casual enemy)

but it wont take a lot of cyanide to kill a man inside of an almond creamer, so that would mean the seed must be preserved inside a woman's vagina (i must say that i am actually enthusiastic about homeopathy as much as the next man is, my arts is sincerely inspired by that, i don't have any other relative social media other than the twitter account i deleted not so long ago about my theories of relativity than i do with Tumblr (which i can post more excess on average than i used to do with on twitter which is just an nihilists borderlands game to do with song theory (i will inshaa allah, do a separate post containing all of what social media can actually do to your hive mind by social supremacy) so cyanide is made inside the apple to vagina, so the meaning of the cyanide in the creamer is a sexual metaphor remediated by the piemaker later used inside of River Sea to create a new fruit, which is evident in his theory of fruits made plural (each fruit exists was the product of somebody having sex but the flavour of it goes away per generation of 5 people (you won't taste what they have in common, for example, each mans cum is his unique take on life via personal metaphor only his wife finds, so the wife tastes metaphors to everybody tasting the physical attributes hence nothing is sexualised but you) but have you ever wondered how Italians love their dishes too much that everybody once asked 'the secret recipe' but they'll laugh at you with an expense, lmao

My (Non-Spoiler) Thoughts on #PolinSeason
Tumblr media
After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, Bridgerton Season 3 finally graced our screens. Naturally, I binged all four episodes twice within 18 hours of the launch. Okay, I might have sneaked in episode 5 during the special fan viewing on Tudum the night before, but who’s counting?
Overall Thoughts and Book Comparison
Compared to the first two books, this season stays fairly true to the original story. The TV adaptations of key moments from the book were spot on and felt refreshingly progressive for today’s world. Here’s what stood out to me:
Modern Love and Career Balance: It beautifully showcases that women can have it all—love and a thriving career.
Equal Partnership: It emphasizes that a man’s place is to support his wife just as she supports him.
Self-Reliance: Women don’t always need saving; sometimes, they just need unconditional support.
Friendship Goals: Female friendships can flourish without competition, and they’re crucial at any age.
Nature vs. Nurture: People aren’t born mean; it’s often a result of upbringing. While forgiving isn’t easy, time reveals all, and karma eventually catches up.
The Power of Female Friendship: True female friendships are grounding and powerful.
No More Mean Girls: The mean girl trope is stale and needs to end.
Perfect Soundtrack: The music perfectly complemented the scenes.
The Romance Factor
The steamy scenes weren’t as intense as the PR hype suggested, but they were relatable and heartwarming. It’s lovely to see a romance that grows from friendship, showing genuine comfort and love. Of course, I would’ve loved more Polin love scenes—just like we craved more in the Kanthony season.
Colin and Penelope’s Journey
I enjoyed Colin’s struggle to find his way and be the husband he’s meant to be. He’s figuring it out, and it’s endearing to watch. Penelope’s unwavering commitment to her career dreams, without sacrificing them for a man, was a refreshing nod to characters like those in "The Devil Wears Prada."
What I Could Do Without
Lady Tilly. She had too much airtime and a rather pointless storyline. This is where "Queen Charlotte" excels, with its on-point side stories.
Character Development
Watching Penelope and Colin’s growth through the seasons was delightful. Their development and eventual shine were heartwarming. While I wish they had more screen time, we did get the wedding of the century on TV, and that’s enough to keep me content in the Bridgerton universe.
Final Thoughts
If I have to wait another 2-3 years for the next season, I’m not sure if my interest will hold, but only time will tell. For now, I’m satisfied with this beautiful closure.

where y/n and jack are exes and they meet again at taylor's party where long held feelings bring them to discuss the should've, could've, and would've of a night that changed it all.
i hope y'all enjoy!
***
Jack was hesitant to attend Taylor’s party. His common sense was telling him that the last thing he should do was spend a free day at a party socializing and half-asleep, but he would feel bad if he cancelled on yet another gathering.
Begrudgingly, he yawned as he slid on the long-sleeved Hilfiger top over his wife beater and adjusted his PG ring before sliding on his shoes. Urban was already waiting outside in the back of the car that was bringing them to and from the event.
“You good, man?” Urban asked from his seat, taking his shades off his face to get a good look at his friend.
“Yeah. I just woke up from a nap.”
“You sure you still wanna go?”
“For sure.” Jack cleared his throat and Urban waited pensively before nodding at the driver to go ahead.
Beneath Jack’s Prada shades, his eyes had slipped shut and he looked forward to leaving and going back to bed. The club was packed, people were hovering around the door and he could hear music blasting from the courtyard in the back. It was obvious that Taylor spared no expense for her thirtieth.
After sliding through the sea of people, most of who had gasped or yelled after him, he made it to the more restricted area where Taylor and her circle were. A few of them ran down the stairs of the balcony area to go to the dance floor while some hung out at the bar. Jack eventually spotted Taylor chatting with one of her friends in the sitting area and approached her.
He hovered for a few moments until the friend who occupied her, dressed in a long, form-fitting dress that stunned him walked off. She held on to his attention even though he couldn’t see her face. It was the way she held herself, the way she casually fit in and made the glass in her hand seem like an accessory.
“Hey, Jack!” Taylor broke him from his trance and Jack quickly lifted his shades away from his face.
“What’s up, Taylor?” he chuckled as he pulled her into a hug, squeezing her gently before smiling at her. “Happy birthday.”
“Thank you! And thank you for coming, too. It means a lot, especially with how busy you’ve been.” she sighed as if she could feel the weight of Jack’s tiredness on him, but he just shrugged it off and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
“You know how it is. I needed a break and show a real one some love.”
Taylor giggled and Jack gave her an almost too fake smile before she put her hand on his bicep as she remembered something. “Let’s get some pictures and then I’ll introduce you to some folks who wanted to meet you.”
Jack’s smile faltered for a moment before he nodded. It wasn’t that he wasn’t grateful he had friends that wanted to share their connections, but he craved going out to parties or hanging out with friends that cared more about catching up and relaxing than about business.
“Alright.” he finally said, licking his lips and rubbing his hands together, reaching into the cooler a few feet away for a ridiculously priced seltzer.
Taylor took Jack around the party for nearly an hour and then over an hour was spent writing down numbers and trying to remember names. The time seemed to be moving excruciatingly slow, but he felt his energy starting to drain by his eighth handshake of the night. Most of them really couldn’t do anything major for his career, but he knew how important saving face was. Which is why to keep himself from snapping, he walked to the quietest place he could think of- the bathroom.
On the hall, there was a shockingly few amount of people stumbling out. The restrooms were at the very end and benches were spread along the walls of the area. After throwing the glass bottle away, he caught sight of the woman he saw earlier. His weary brain had managed to remember and he had never been so grateful. There was something that captivated him to her, something that took ahold of him when he locked eyes with the woman.
“Y/N?” he breathed out. He immediately cleared his throat after the fact, noting the way his voice cracked from his weariness and pure shock.
Your name hadn’t been spoken by him or anyone else by fear of exponential damage to his wellbeing. As he looked over you, he could see the peace you left him to protect. He could see the subtle changes of the body he spent ages trying to study and earn for all of it. Jack could hardly wrap his mind around the fact that the body you ran your hands over in nervousness in front of him, you gave to him countless times, promised to him right into his ear. You’d taken all of you back from him- physically, mentally, spiritually, and he was already plotting on how to get it back.
“Hi, Jack.” he heard your voice in his dreams, but it never sounded quite like this. “Long time, no see.”
Your nonchalance pained him. He remembered the first time he met you, three years ago when you were both beginning your careers. You were a shy journalist who he was able to make nervous so easily and he was the awkwardly flirtatious up and coming big shot. It had been a year and a half since you last spoke, and now he was the stuttering and sweating bullets. You felt like a siren who swam in the ocean of Jack’s wet dreams.
“I don’t know how I went so long without seeing you. Y-you look beautiful.” was the first thing he could think to say as you got closer, the perfume you only wore on your nights out beginning to flood his senses. You smiled and the way you clasped your hands in front of you made him think that he’d finally broken the ice.
“You do, too. I love the jeans.”
“You always loved the jeans.” he murmured and you nodded.
If someone had to look at the two of you and guess which of you confessed their love and who walked away after, they would have a hard time. They would undoubtedly believe Jack to be the one who, a year and a half ago, gave away a piece of his heart based on the way he looked at you.
“I’m sorry about how I ended things. You didn’t deserve that at all.”
“We don’t have to talk about that. It’s water under the bridge.” you dismissed easily. “And you’re tired. I can tell you’re tired.”
“No, I’m good. I’m good.” he repeated, placing two of his large hands against his chest and smiling.
“I don’t mean to sound like the stalker ex or anything, but you’ve been pretty nonstop.”
Jack knew that he was probably expected to think something unflattering about you or what you knew about him, but he wished like hell he could do the same. Even though you were a well-respected journalist, you weren’t a celebrity by any means. Not to mention that your Instagram was private and he wouldn’t risk getting found out by having himself or anyone close to him request.
“I’m good. I love this shit.”
“You’re a perfectionist, Jack.” you spoke firmly, as if this was a fact that you knew like the back of your hand. Until you remembered that you weren’t supposed to. “Or at least you were.”
“I still am.” he said gently, his blue eyes meeting yours.
As you two looked at each other, it was obvious you two were fitting pieces of your history together. The touches and moments you longed to have once more. The way Jack’s right hand remained out of his pocket reminded you so slightly of when he would use it to hold on to your hip or hold your hand. The way you dug to the toe of your heels into the carpeted floor let it be known that you were thinking hard and long about something.
He wanted nothing more than to use that right hand and step closer, rest the back of his hand against the small of your back and urge you closer to kiss the top of your head and coax your thoughts from your mind to your mouth. He ached to know what you could be contemplating about him.
“Y/N?”
“Jack,”
Your names broke the tension thick air and you both shut your mouths as if neither of you expected the words to break it. Each of your eyes were wide and almost scared.
“What were you going to say?” he asked, and you shook your head. You wore the confidence you gained well, but your nerves never failed to threaten your demeanor. “I’ll listen.”
You paused and ducked your head to hide your face from the man. You tried to think of a lie to tell him, to escape the situation and leave Jack just as heartbroken as he left you. A large and loud piece of you just wanted to shake your head once more and walk right past him and leave him wondering why he wasn’t good enough for an explanation. A part of you wanted that more than anything, but the rest of you clenched your fists and mustered up the will power to do what you wished he did.
“I know you’re probably going to keep going after the party, but you won’t get any rest like that and you’re tired. Do you want to come to my place?”
Every part of Jack relaxed when he realized that you still cared. Over your break up, people began to care about the Jack that got their paychecks signed and put on a good show. You had always cared, to a point where people called him spoiled when he expected the treatment you gave him from them.
After a moment in Jack’s stunned silence, you turned around and grabbed your phone. Your embarrassment produced your ex’s shock as his eyes followed you around. “I’m sorry. That was- I know we’re broken up, and I’m sure that you came here with someone who knows that-”
“I’m not here with anybody. And I am tired and I do want to go with you.” his voice was low and almost pleading.
You swallowed and nodded. Every bit of you that had grown over the past year and a half was telling you to go against the grain of your heart, but you were stubborn towards it.
“Okay. Do you have anybody you should tell you’re leaving?”
“Urban’s good.” he said almost too quickly and you chuckled.
Jack smiled a little too big at your release of tension. He couldn’t recall the last time he heard your laugh or saw your smile and it was beautiful.
“He always is.” you nodded, beginning to walk and lead Jack behind you. “Are you good?”
The two of you stopped at the threshold of the hallway and looked at each other tentatively. “I can always be better.”
It was always easy for you to read between the lines that Jack drew, but you weren’t quite ready to analyze them. Instead of responding, you just took a deep breath and headed back into the main part of the club. Jack didn’t take his eyes off of you for a moment.
The chauffeured drive to your condo was filled with silence. You and Jack caught one another’s eyes more than once in the rearview mirror and your heart pounded once more every time. The fondest moments of your relationship occurred in the backseat of large SUVs you rented for the night with street lights cascading through the windows. It wasn’t particularly a good idea to think about that when Jack leaned into you when the driver hit a sharp curve. His large hand trapped your thigh before he could even think about it. The weight of it startled you and your hand came down on top of his fingers in reflex.
“Sorry, I wasn’t- habit, you know?” he cleared his throat and wriggled his fingers under your palm.
“It’s okay.” you whispered, slowly moving your hand from on top of his to savor the feeling. “It’s fine.”
Jack, after realizing what you were doing, squeezed your thigh and swiped his thumb against it. “This your place?”
You stared for a moment too long before snapping your eyes out of the window, revealing the gates of your complex. Jack removed his hand after you gave the driver the code to the gates.
“This is nice.” Jack nodded as he stepped into your apartment. “LA girl now.”
“Only for a little while. I think I want to go back home.” you rolled your shoulders and looked around the same way Jack did.
Luckily, you had cleaned up your home before leaving earlier which helped cut down on a bit of embarrassment a stray bra might’ve caused. As you turned around to welcome in, a bark was heard. It took you both a while to figure it out a while to figure out where it came from, but the minute you saw the dark fur of your Labradoodle, he was jumping on Jack.
“Yo!” Jack threw his hands up as Max pounced on him to the wall. He hardly ever growled, but Jack was getting a year and a half’s worth. “Down, Max! Down.”
“Max!” you snapped, grabbing the back of his collar to reel him back gently.
You and Jack squatted down in front of the dog. Jack wasn’t scared, but obviously startled. You adopted Max a couple of months into your relationship with Jack and the two of them had grown close. Jack was the one who did most of his training and tried to take him home to his own home a few times.
“Max, man, it’s me, Jack.” Jack made a kissing noise towards the dog and Max approached him again softly, fitting his paw in Jack’s hand.
“It’s probably the beard.” you joked and Jack smiled.
“Why were you acting like that, Max?” Jack whispered to the dog who sniffed around his shoulders. “I used to sneak you biscuits when she wouldn’t.”
“You’re evil.” you narrowed your eyes at him and felt your cheeks warmed when he flashed you a megawatt smile.
Jack returned to his quiet conversation with Max as you watched from a foot away. It felt a little too nostalgic to watch him pet behind his ears and kiss his nose. “I guess you should’ve jumped on me for what I did to her. Dog to dog, you know?”
You cleared your throat to pretend you didn’t hear what he said and stood up. “Are you hungry, Jack?”
“I ate.”
“Okay, well, I’m going to make you tea because I’m sure you haven’t been drinking any.” Jack wanted to roll his eyes and tease you about how doting you were being, but he didn’t want to remind you that this wasn’t your job anymore.
“Thank you.” he said, voice raspy enough to prove your point as you walked to the kitchen.
After you got the tea started, you rushed upstairs to wipe off your makeup and change into something a lot more comfortable. Most of your presentable lounge wear had been thrown in your laundry room, so that made finding anything besides a pair of gray fabric shorts and an oversized white shirt the best option. You swallowed before walking back downstairs with a pair of sweatpants for Jack.
“Um,” you began, clearing your throat to gain Jack’s attention from where he was pouring up his own tea. He had already stripped his shirt from his body and was now only standing in his jeans. “I found these.”
The way Jack’s eyes fell tiredly and unimpressed to the lump of fabric in your hands, he knew that you were lying. “I’ve been looking for ‘em.”
“Were you really?” you asked, looking up at Jack as he stood no more than arm’s length away from you, grabbing the pants.
“Hell no.” he chuckled, smiling at you in a way that made you forget you only invited him because he seemed tired.
There was something about you that bought every bit of him alive once more. He didn’t even feel like he’d been running off of less than five hours of sleep every night. Seeing you in the same exact clothes that you wore the first time he had come off tour and surprised you late at night made him want more.
“Is the tea okay? I have sugar and honey and everything, if you want it.” you changed the subject effectively, making Jack take the pants away from your hands and toss them between his own.
“No. I’m just going to change into this and finish the tea. Thank you.”
You weren’t alone with your thoughts for more than a few minutes before Jack came out of the guest bathroom. He smiled softly at you and you did the same, stirring your own mug of tea. You never really cared much for it before Jack came into your life. After learning the toll of his extensive performances did to his vocal cords, you did your best to keep them in check.
As you sat on the counter, Jack leaned on the piece of counter closer to the threshold. Neither of you tried to look or speak to one another, but the silence was speaking for itself.
“If I ask you something, do you promise not to kick me out?” Jack asked timidly, running a finger through his curls and licking his lips.
“I can’t promise.” you mumbled back as your heart pounded in anticipation.
“I’ll take my chances then.” he said, setting the tea down and looking right at you. “If I would’ve said that I love you back, do you think that we’d still be together?”
“Jack-” you sighed, setting down your mug and shaking your head to resign from the conversation.
“I have to know. It’s all I've thought about since we’ve broken up. I just want to know.”
“Don’t you think I wanted to know why, too? Why all you did was just walk away? Why should I give you the satisfaction of closure in our relationship when you couldn’t even do that for me?”
“I just wasn’t ready, Y/N. I’m sorry. I was 22 and I thought that I was hot shit and I didn’t want to be tied down.”
“Did you?” you asked softly, holding eye contact. “Did you love me and not want to admit it or did you not and I finished the job? Or was I never meant to be a long-term thing?”
“I don’t know, baby.” he whispered pleadingly and you scoffed.
“Don’t ‘baby’ me. You don’t get to spend a year in my bed and tell me how beautiful our wedding would be, our home, our kids. You don’t get to do that and then come back a year and a half later after I had to struggle to figure out why I wasn’t good enough. You hurt me, Jack.”
He could hear it in your voice that you wanted to yell at him and make him hurt the same way he hurt you, but you couldn’t find it in you. The reason you couldn’t yell was the same reason you invited him back to your home within ten minutes of seeing him for the first time after a messy a break up, the same reason you didn’t let Max tackle him, the same reason you made him tea. You still loved him.
“I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what I was thinking, fuck, I probably wasn’t. I-I just got scared and thought that it was too soon. That’s what everyone was telling me, you know? And that’s stupid, ba- Y/N, I know it is.” he licked his lips frantically and rubbed his forehead. “That’s why I just need to know what I could’ve had if I didn’t fuck it up. Can you give me that, please?”
You took a shaky breath and hit your fist against the counter twice before clearing your throat. You refused to look at Jack. You wouldn’t tell him the truth if you looked directly at him.
“I wasn’t looking for you to say that you love me back. I just- it just came out because I wasn’t planning on saying it. It’s just that when you started talking about hating LA and not wanting to be here, then I knew I had to say something to get you to understand what you mean to me. I guess I did the opposite. If you had told me that you didn’t love me, I might’ve been upset, but I wouldn’t have broke up with you. I wouldn’t have left like you did.”
There was a slight hiss to the tone at the end of your admittance and Jack felt it in his chest. You looked weak after the confession. Anyone else would’ve been spiteful and told him the worst thing imaginable to bruise his ego, but you just wouldn’t.
“I would’ve stayed in LA.”
“No, you wouldn’t have.”
“You’re right.” he admitted, getting closer to you despite the way you tensed. “I would’ve left and realized that I needed you my first day there and come back and we would’ve made our dreams come true together. I would’ve said I love you the first day I let you tell me that I was wrong. That's what I would’ve done.”
You pursed your lips and ducked your head as he spoke. “That’s not what you did, though. It’s what you could’ve done, but-”
“But I didn’t, I know.” he grabbed your chin suddenly and forced your eyes to lock with his. “All I can do now is what I should’ve done. Tell you that I love you, and stay.”
“Jack, you’re tired and you don’t even know what you’re saying.” you dismissed it before your heart could get ahead of you. You ripped his hand away from you and glared at him.
“I’m tired of being away from you and watching the post count of your Instagram go up. I’m tired of asking your friends for updates and then getting scared that they’d tell you that I asked about you. I’m tired of spending every night Taylor or one of your friends posts you at a party and wondering who you’re there with or who you’re leaving with. That’s what I’m tired of. I’m tired of not fucking having you, Y/N. I know what I’m saying because I have had a year and a half to think about the fact that I have spent too damn long not telling you how much I love you and need you.”
Tears fell from your eyes easier than they had in a long time when Jack finished. He put his hands under your thighs and made sure his eyes didn’t even blink away from your face.
"Don't just say that because you regret how shit went down."
"I more than regret it, Y/N. Us breaking up ruined me. I just want a chance to fix me, fix you, fix us because I know you're still hurting."
"Jack, I'm still in love with you and if it doesn't work out this time, then I'm going to be... worse than last time."
"I understand that, but we're both going in with all of it this time. I love you and you love me. We're at a good place in our lives and we haven't lost all of what we had. I want another chance, Y/N. I want to take care of you this time."
You let out a shuddered breath and spoke so gently that Jack could hardly hear you. "You really love me?"
"I love you so much."
"I love you, too. I just need you to keep proving you love me, too."
"I will. This right here, is the beginning of the rest of my life, proving to you that I love you." he murmured, pushing his forehead to yours and squeezing your thighs.
As your lips connected, the rest of your bodies followed quickly. Before the first moan could fall from your lips, Jack was already rolling up the hem of your tee shirt and breathing heavily as he waited for your permission.
"You're sleepy, Jack." as much as you wanted it, you knew how much Jack needed to get his rest.
"Baby, I don't think I can go minute longer without you. So much I need to do and say that I can't get out. I just- fuck, I need you now."
Hesitantly, but only to figure out the reason behind his hooded eyes, you nodded and allowed Jack to strip you of your top before pulling you off the counter to straddle his hips as you stood.
"I love you for more than this." he promised as you panted softly.
"I know, J."
||
The next morning, Jack's phone went off between you two. Jack was still grumbling into your neck from behind and handed the phone to you.
"It's not mine." you yawned back, blinking your eyes open tiredly.
Despite your lazy refusal, Jack reached his hand around to tap the buzzing device against your chest. You groaned as he kissed your pulse point before nuzzling once more.
"Hello?" you answered, trying to sound awake.
"Who is- Y/N?" Urban answered and you let out an amused chuckle before confirming. "You're back?"
"We're going to try." you murmured, turning around in Jack's stronghold. "Do you need to talk to Jack?"
"Nah, can you just wake him up? The car was supposed to leave for the airport for the festival twenty minutes ago and he hasn't answered yet. Just text me your address and we'll scoop."
"Oh, okay." you agreed, totally forgetting that Jack had another commitment.
Begrudingly, you hung up and texted Urban your address while making lame attempts at waking Jack up. It was finally rolling out of his arms that made him grunt awake.
"Where you going?"
"I'm not going anywhere. You have a festival to go to."
"Fuck," Jack shot up and scrambled for his phone to look at the time. "We're catching a jet and I'm late."
He stood from the bed and tugged on his boxers in a rush, cursing to himself. "Urban is already on the way."
"Good." Jack said, finding his wife beater and tugging it before turning to look at you. "I need you to come with me."
"What?" you laughed, and shook your head. "Jack, baby, it's such short notice."
"I don't care. You're the love of my life and I want you to be with me. We've been apart for too long and I just want you."
There wasn't the same overthinking going on like last night. When Jack paused to wait for your answer, you just giggled and nodded. "Okay."
"Okay!" Jack repeated, pulling you out of bed and kissing you like he was starving for it- since he probably was, and smiled. "Don't worry about packing. Just get what you know you need and you can wear my clothes."
"You have this all planned out, huh?" you teased, playing with his hair a little while his hands wandered to your butt.
"Mmhmm."
"Okay, then what are we going to do after?"
"We'll fly back and I'll make you get back in bed with me because I just got the best sex and sleep last night and I need to experience that again, then I'll take you out somewhere nice since you're an LA girl now." you rolled your eyes when he giggled at his own words.
"And then?" you asked even quieter, waiting to hear the part where he hops on another flight out.
"Then I'm not leaving. I'll play house with you and Max while we figure it all out. I'm not leaving you like that again, baby."
"You better not." you murmured seriously before wrapping your arms around Jack's neck and kissing him. "I'm just glad you're here for now."
"And always. I'm always going to be here." he promised before hugging you close.

game seven
drabbles for alone, together / the storm before the calm / the president wears prada
Bee was waiting anxiously.  She had been since Morgan left that afternoon, a quiet confidence free of arrogance about him after she gave him one last kiss and one last “I love you” before seeing him off.  She couldn’t concentrate on work for the rest of the day – she hadn’t been able to concentrate on work since game five, really – and had pre-emptively taken tomorrow off.  Just in case.  Just because.
She watched the game.  She watched the post-game interviews, where Morgan was ushered out first, as he always was, volunteer or not, to speak about what had just transpired.  She knew everybody could hear the pain in his voice, but they couldn’t hear the pain like she heard the pain.  They didn’t hear the same type of pain she did, that she knew he was withholding in himself, trying not to let show.  There was a dignity about him too – a dignity characteristic of him and him alone, and though people commented on it, it was much of the same thing.  They didn’t know the true dignity.  They didn’t know what it took for him to sit in front of those cameras and talk after another heartbreak.
She heard the door open.  She immediately got up from her spot on the couch and ran over, meeting him in the doorway.  His suit had been put on haphazardly.  His tie was barely done.  If she was being honest, it looked like he got hit by a truck.  He probably felt like it.
“C’mere,” Bee cooed, already bringing her hands up to cradle his face.
“Bumblebee…” he let out, exasperated, a long and heavy breath escaping him as she attached herself even more to him.  “Bumblebee, I can’t…why…” he had no words.
“C’mere, c’mon,” she led them towards their bedroom.  He sat down on the edge of their bed, leaning over and putting his head in his hands as Bee still wrapped her arms around him one way or another, leaning her head against his shoulder.  “You played amazing all series.  You showed up.”
Morgan shook his head.  He knew that.  He knew he was playing well.  It all didn’t make sense to him.  “It was 3-1,” he mumbled against his hands.
“Hmm?”
“It was 3-fucking-1,” he mumbled again, and Bee’s heart dropped.  “I don’t know what happened.  I don’t know what I could have done be—”
“Shhhhh, don’t beat yourself up over this like you always do,” she said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.  “This isn’t just on you.  I love you, Morgan.  Please don’t think it’s all your fault.  You know how unhealthy that is.”
Morgan knew Bee was right, but it didn’t feel like anything would shake this feeling.  He didn’t know what went wrong and couldn’t think of a solution.  He was desolate.  Another first round exit.  Another loss.  Another collapse.  It was the unthinkable.  He shook his head, unable to find words.  “I love you.  I’m so sorry.”
“There is nothing to apologize for.  I love you too and I’m so proud of you.”
“Are you?” he asked.
“Every single day,” she affirmed, giving him a quick kiss on the lips.  “I love you more and more every day, and I’m proud of you more and more every day, too.”
She could feel his tears later that night as she held him, running her fingers through his hair, telling him over and over how much she loved him.

Aberdeen’s daybed came in handy for one thing: cuddling.  William wasn’t joking when he said it was his favourite because it gave them the best cuddle sessions, but now, Aberdeen understood why.  At first, she thought it was a joke, like it was coded language that she should get at least a double bed.  But no – it wasn’t a joke.  William did really love her daybed for cuddling.  And it became abundantly clear after the events that transpired after game seven against the Montreal Canadiens.
Aberdeen wished she could have been there.  A small part of her wished she was still working for Brendan so she could be there for the guys after the tough loss, after the collapse.  But that part of her life was over.  Despite having William and always being attached to the Leafs, there was nothing in her power that she could do to make this situation better for the team.  Instead, she knew she could only try to make this situation better for William.
So they cuddled.  William held her so often, but now, it was her turn to hold him.  She felt his tears as he buried his head into the crook of her neck; she felt his tense body despite her touch, and did everything in her power to get him to relax.  But William was on edge.  He always was after stuff like this.  He blamed himself, and she knew that, even though it was a team effort.  She didn’t even mention the very late goal he scored in the third period.  He didn’t even celebrate it.  She hated that.  William, her William, trying until the very end.
“You haven’t been online, have you?” he asked, mumbling into her skin in the middle of the night, even though neither was sleeping.
“No.  Why?”
“I don’t want you to see what they’re saying.”
“You had five goals in seven games, William.”
“You’d be surprised, minskatt.”
Aberdeen let out a breath, clutching William tighter.  “That doesn’t matter,” she said.  “What matters is that I love you and I’m proud of you.”
William raised his head when she said that.  “You’re proud?”
“Always have been.  Always will be, Willy.”
He leaned down and kissed her, eventually snuggling back into her and letting out small sighs when he felt her beginning to run her fingers through his hair.  Eventually, she felt his breathing steady, and she knew he was asleep.
She took the opportunity to reach over and grab her phone, unlocking the screen and finding the number she needed to find.  She hadn’t texted it for months, and the last time she did, there was no response.  But she texted anyway, because she was Aberdeen, and she would not yield.
To:  Jason Spezza
I love you and I’m so, so sorry about tonight.

When Fred walked through the door of his and Aleida’s townhouse, all he could hear was Helena crying.  He immediately took off his suit jacket and laid it over the couch as he walked upstairs to Helena’s bedroom, seeing Aleida trying to rock her back and forth to get her to stop crying.  Helena was wailing.
“Fred,” Aleida’s voice was desperate as she saw him in the doorway.  “She won’t stop crying.  I’ve already fed her and—”
“Give her to me,” he said softly, outstretching his arms so Helena could be put in his arms.  “C’mon, Helena, you can stop crying.”
Aleida’s hair was in a messy, ratty bun.  Her pyjamas hadn’t been washed.  She looked like she’d been crying along with Helena.  But she still looked beautiful, like Fred knew she would.  It was a comfort of sorts, coming home after yet another disappointing first round exit, and finding your wife and newborn daughter in her bedroom.  It brought him back down to earth, in a way.  That there were things more important than hockey.
It only took about a minute or so for Helena to stop crying once Fred cradled her against his chest, overpriced collared shirt be damned.  Once she was quieter, Aleida finally looked at him.  “She’s so good when she’s with you.  She doesn’t do that for me.”
“It’s okay, Aleida.  She would have calmed down eventually.”
He could tell Aleida wanted to say something, but she didn’t.  Instead, she took another route.  “I’m so sorry.”
“About the game?”
“About the game and about not being able to calm her down—”
“Shhh…don’t apologize for that,” he interrupted.
“But I can’t do it like you can.”
“Shhh…it’s okay.  She’s a newborn.  It’ll get better.  She’ll get better.”
Some things were bigger than hockey right now.

Bad: The Unfortunate Ending
Inspired by this song ➳ Bad by Lennon Stella
(Ransom Drysdale x wife reader)
A/n: this is my first attempt at angst so here we go...
Disclaimer: not part of my fall writing, this is just a lil something bc I needed to write, it makes me happier after days as today.
Warnings: Cheating, mild profanity, shitty angst & writing. Ransom being an asshole (rip all the soft Ransom stories I’ve written)
Series Masterlist
Never in a thousand years would you have seen yourself sitting in Boston’s most expensive and high end restaurant, a steak simmering at 500 degrees laying out in front of you, and the Ransom Drysdale sweetly smiling at you.
“Wait, before you start eating, I have something to ask you, love.”
Was he gonna break up with you?
Ransom reached over his plate to reach your hand gently bringing it to his lips while maintaining eye contact with your shocked expression, soon calming.
Oh whew.
The man then set down your hand, and folded up the napkin in his lap before rounding the table, getting down on one knee. Your eyes were already welling up with tears, making it impossible to see all the people staring at you and Ransom.
“(y/n) (l/n)...
… … ...
Will you marry me?”
After his adoring speech, the four little words came out and the man on his knee was staring up at you like you were a goddess. Overwhelmed, you happily spewed out the words of acknowledgement while Ransom slipped the lavish diamond onto your ring finger, kissing the now ringed finger before scooping you up from your chair, the two of you in a deep kiss amidst the cheers.
A few months later the two of you got married, and everything was a dream. You had a lovely house, and a husband who was practically your closest friend. The two of you spent all your time together, told every joke, talked all the time. Believe or not but Mr. Fancy Pants had preferred that you got married sooner rather than having an extravagant wedding ceremony.
So that's what you did. One lovely Monday morning, you and Ransom drove to the courthouse, in the beamer, as if it were just any other day.
You thought then and there, that this was it. Life was finally playing in your favor...
All the little gifts you gave
I call it over compensating
Feeling just like a princess
Every answer was always yes
You had me living in a dream
“Oh Ransom!” You played with the little puppy down at your feet, a red ribbon adoring it’s small, yet fluffy neck. The little thing jumped into your arms, causing you to lift off the floor, walking closer to Ransom.
“Why did you get me a puppy, Hugh?”
He just cheekily smiled and shrugged, walking by to kiss your cheek. “No reason!”
You just laughed it off before going outside to play fetch with the energetic fur baby.
Ransom always treated you for no reason, at times you really hated him for it, but not once would he ever let up.
About four months into your marriage, Harlan had invited you and Ransom to some writer’s charity gala, a black and white party, meaning Ransom was gonna rent a tux and you’d find an overly priced yet attractive dress.
So, one Saturday afternoon, you and Ransom went to the mall, getting fitted for your clothes. You weren’t about the name brands like Ransom was, but today, Ransom now had full advantage to shower you in expensive clothing having already picked his tux yesterday. His sneaky little plan to go dress shopping with you.
“What about this one?” Your husband held up a black slip dress designed by Prada. Curiously you walked up to him, checking the tag to see its $1,000 price. In all honesty, from the looks of the dress, you had assumed Ransom picked up a simple dress. Sure, it was pretty but you weren’t about to pay that much just for the name. For what it is worth, you could sew and tailor the damn thing yourself.
“That’s ridiculous, Ransom. I’m not about to pay that much.”
You went to go walk off before you felt Ransom’s hot breath in your ear.
“Who said you were paying?”
Turning around, you playfully pushed him in the chest to which he laughed and peppered kisses all over your face.
“Ransom! Stop, you’re making a scene!”
He pulled away for a minute, your giggles ceasing.
“Let me treat you and I will stop.”
Quickly, the man resumed his attack, your pleas soon becoming words of compliance.
“Fine!”
His signature smirk danced across his lips, while his free arm snaked around your waist ushering you to the tailor’s stand.
 What's forever long to you
Did you say that to her too
Making sure that I'd never know
Callin her while the shower goes
It was a little after midnight and Ransom wasn’t home yet, today he had been out with some friends, not inviting you. Your only company for the day was your precious little puppy, who was curled up against your stomach. The endless worry had kept you up all night as you mindlessly stroked the puppy’s back, trying to calm your own nerves.
Eventually, an hour later, the hallway light shone under the door, Ransom coming in. He was met with your worried look and came to rush over to your side.
“You scared me to death, Ransom. Two hours ago, you were supposed to be back!”
“I know. I know. I’m so sorry baby. Now, get some sleep, I love you. Forever, my love.”
Ransom gently pulled the blanket over you, kissing you goodnight, then heading off to shower.
Turning on the shower, Ransom pulled the phone out of his pocket, scrolling to the bottom of his contacts and dialing, Blair❤️.
“Hey baby, today was amazing Ranny!”
A deep chuckle left Ransom’s throat, the woman on the phone giggling.
“I know, angel. You are the best, love ya forever, Sweetheart.”
Blair continued to gush over the phone, recalling the earlier events of the day at her house where Ransom had spent the whole day. (leaving that sentence to the eye of the beholder.)
Shower, and you, long forgotten, Ransom spent the rest of the night talking to the woman, leaving the bedroom to go downstairs, assuming you were already asleep.
Ironically, that night, you dreamt of all the times you and Ransom would stay up just talking and laughing...
Then crawl back in bed, it's a shame
I probably should've known better
I probably should've known better
It was 4 am, and Blair had fallen asleep on the phone, leaving Ransom to bid her goodbye and get some shut eye himself.
It was like sleeping next to a stranger, the warmth of the bed now gone. Coldness, replacing the loving embrace.
About two months ago, your work gave its employees a week off for the holidays. It was once in a blue moon that you got to see your family, so you seized this opportunity. You wished your husband could have come, but Ransom had to stay behind to help Harlan with an upcoming novel. In truth, Ransom never saw himself reverting back to his bad ways, but who knows what entices people to change.
One night, Ransom went out for a drink, a young lady, about twenty-seven years old, came up to the sulking man. He was drowning his sorrows in a couple of beers, wishing he were there with you. Oh how he missed you!
“Hey stranger.”
The sultry voice hit too close to home for Ransom, a voice he knew all too well.
And let’s just say a few drinks later, he came to remember his old fling as Blair.
I wish that you would've treated me bad
The truth is you couldn't have loved me better
Now I'm left feeling twice as sad
I wish you would've treated me bad bad bad
It felt like you were living a hallmark movie, and never would you have thought any different.
Your feet were propped on the Ransom’s lap as the two of you laid down Uno cards on the coffee table.
“Ransom?”
“Yes, darling?”
You set the Uno cards in your lap, adjusting on the couch so that you’d be straddling Ransom. The man brightly smiling at you, enveloping you with his muscular arms. In complete bliss, you leaned forward and kissed him, a slow and intimate kiss. Time completely stopped as you were just in your own little world.
He treated you so well, you’d never be prepared for the heartbreak that’d ensue.
I wasn't catching on to you
Blinded by your lips so smooth
Excusing all of your gotta goes
Leaving me to be all alone
“Do you really have to go, Ransom?”
Your arms were wrapped around the man’s neck, pleading for him to stay. A small frown made a way onto his lips before he leaned in to kiss you deeply, pulling away from your lips while you were still trying to catch up.
“I gotta go.”
With that, he rushed out. A business meeting was it? Or was it Harlan? You couldn’t remember. For the past two months, you’ve been accepting all of his excuses, soon all of them blending, yet in the end you were always left standing in the house, alone with your dog.
It's okay, you told yourself. Sure he forgot your birthday last month. It’s fine.
As long as he didn't forget your wedding anniversary next month, everything would be fine…
Right?
Then you took my heart just the same
I probably should've known better
I probably should've known better
No it wasn’t fine. He forgot your anniversary. He forgot you. In the mornings, he’d no longer stay with you, instead finding an excuse to rush out, no kisses, not even hugs, Rarely did the two of you talk and soon, it became your new normal.
You should’ve known better.
Every word you said you was sweet but you was lying
Everything you covered making up just to keep to me from crying
Another late night, Ransom had gone to help his mother at some dinner party for her business, or so he said. He left early this morning, claiming he was gonna help set up and that he’d be home by 8. Yet, here you are, watching the 11 o’clock news, waiting for your husband’s arrival since he had left you with radio silence all day.
Suddenly, the door flew open, a sloppily dressed Ransom, stumbling in, clearly piss-ass drunk.
“Oh you're awake!”
You walked over to help him sit on the couch, just as you were about to turn off the lamp beside the couch, you noticed a tint of red lipstick on Ransom’s lips. You hadn’t worn any lipstick today, right?
Tenderly, you traced your thumb over his lips, as his eyes gazed into yours.
“Ransom, what’s on your lips?”
In a poor attempt, Ransom went to grab your hand, missing and instead grabbing your shoulder, leaning in to kiss you, instead getting your ear.
“It’s nothing, (y/n).”
His head was laying on your shoulder, as he was about to fall asleep, his energy suddenly gone.
“Really? It seems like something, you have a woman’s lipstick on your lips for god sake!”
Ransom then perked up and hugged you tightly, whispering reassuring words to you. Drunkenly, his words mashed together, causing you to barely understand his “comforting” speech.
“I love you so much, sweetheart, I’d never do that to you.”
Sweetheart, a name once reserved for you, now unknowingly shared with another woman.
Believing his lies, because why not? He had never given you a reason not to trust him, not yet anyway.
I wish that you would've treated me bad
The truth is you couldn't have loved me better
Now I'm left feeling twice as sad
I wish you would've treated me bad bad bad
That very next week, Ransom had to leave once again, this time a boys’ trip to the club. You thought nothing of it, now used to his absence, keeping to yourself with the dog and some friends.
Later that afternoon, you were enjoying a sandwich and lemonade out on the front porch when a Maseratti pulled into the driveway, a familiar man stepping out.
“(y/n)! Is Ransom home?”
The man pulled you into an embrace, leaving you confused at his presence.
“Why are you here Oliver? Ransom said he was out with you and James.”
Oliver just shrugged his shoulders, he too jumping to the same conclusion. At this point you were just seeing red, storming into the house, Oliver following. You practically were stomping holes into the hallway for your footsteps were as heavy as your heart. Maybe all along you had been suspicious deep inside, maybe you just never wanted to believe it.
Then finding Ransom’s phone in his nightstand, you came back into the doorway to meet Oliver. If your suspicions were true, you’d like to at least embarrass the dumbass in front of his friend. They all knew he was a playboy at heart, but after you, every one had assumed he’d matured somewhat.
Clearly, they were all wrong.
Your husband was the biggest idiot in the world, making his password your anniversary date, for he was so forgetful. You found this hilarious, because he forgot your first wedding anniversary, god you were so naive.
Was this wrong? Sleuthing through his phone?
Sure. But it could never equal up to what you were about to find.
Opening text messages, 50 unread, all from you, your messages definitely ignored as a woman named Blair was at the top of his messages.
You gagged at the heart by her name, one that used to be by yours. Scrolling through the texts, you found yourself growing angrier by the minute, finally, you just lost it. With great vehemence, you slammed the phone against the floor, making it shatter everywhere, Oliver and your dog, slightly jumping.
It was then that it hit you.
You crashed to the floor, crying hysterically, as the world came crashing down with you. Oliver, crouching down on the floor, trying to calm your sobs.
Tonight you were gonna confront that backstabbing, no good, cheating son of a bitch.
 Tell me the truth
Was it worth it was I worth it for you
'Cause we were perfect we working til you
Forgot to tell me you been seeing someone else for six years
It was 9 pm and you hadn’t expected Ransom’s arrival for another hour or two, so you spent the time packing your bags and drinking some coffee, preparing yourself to tear the man a new one.
This time, there wasn’t a slammed door signaling Ransom’s presence, rather soft footsteps and his low voice, like the old days.
Ha, the one time he gets home early. Ehh you were ready anyway
“Hey babe! Oooh can I have some?”
Before you could answer, Ransom took your mug and a few swigs of coffee, handing it back to you, placing a kiss on your head. In utter surprise, you looked up at the man who just smiled down at you.
“You look I haven’t kissed you in weeks, my love.”
And with that he pecked your lips quickly, walking to the counter, you still trying to process what had just happened.
It was true. He hadn’t kissed you in weeks.
No, you weren’t gonna let him win this time.
“It’s because you haven’t.”
Confusion swirled around on Ransom’s face, allowing you to continue.
“You haven’t kissed me in weeks. But you have kissed Blair, I'm sure.”
The coffee mug in his hand dropped onto his foot, shattering, leaving you smirking at the small victory.
Heartbreak can make one go insane. Afterall, you are losing the one person you loved most, losing yourself along with them.
“For months I have put up with your bullshit…”
A good ten minutes passed of you yelling at Ransom, the man unexpectedly letting you finish.
“You’re a cheating, son of a bitch.”
Angrily, you ripped off the wedding ring, now noticing Ransom wasn’t even wearing his, for god knows how long too. Once upon a time, he’d proudly wear it all the time.
“(y/n) wait--”
Ransom grabbed your arm before you slapped him, the man slightly stunned.
“No. I’m tired of your excuses, I’m tired of letting you win. You and Brittany, should have an amazing life together, that is if you can even commit to her like you told me.”
A whisper of defeat left his mouth.
“It’s Blair…”
“The hell with it! You broke my heart Ransom! I knew it was too fucking good to be true. DAMN IT, I LOVED YOU.”
Hysterically laughing, you looked like a mad woman, lowering your voice just a bit.
“You know what makes this hurt 2x worse? I thought you had actually loved me too, because it seemed like it.”
You broke into tears, your heart in a thousand pieces, rushing away to grab your bags, Ransom not even trying to fight, knowing you're too strong this time. He let the best thing that ever happened to him slip away.
Ages ago you could remember the lovely times with the man you once would die for, yet...
Your love was just an illusion.
I wish that you would've treated me bad
The truth is you couldn't have loved me better
Now I'm left feeling twice as sad
I wish you would've treated me bad bad bad
I wish that you would've treated me bad
Truth is you couldn't have loved me better
Now I'm left feeling twice as sad
I wish you would've treated me bad bad bad
a/n: maybe i should stay away from angst bc this sucked.
Updated a/n: this is gonna be a series! If you’d like to be on the taglist lemme know!!

CW for discussion of suicide
- She's the crazy ex-girlfriend - What? No, I'm not. - She's the crazy ex-girlfriend - That's a sexist term! - She's the crazy ex-girlfriend - Can you guys stop singing for just a second? - She's so broken insiiiiiide! - The situation's a lot more nuanced than that!
There’s the essay! You get it now. JK.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the culmination of Rachel Bloom’s YouTube channel (and the song “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury” in particular where she combined her lifelong obsession with musical theatre and sketch comedy and Aline Brosh McKenna stumbling onto Bloom’s channel one night while having an idea for a television show that subverted the tropes in scripts she’d been writing like The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses.
The show begins with a flashback to teenage Rebecca Bunch (played by Bloom) at summer camp performing in South Pacific. She leaves summer camp gushing about the performance, holding hands with the guy she spent all summer with, Josh Chan. He says it was fun for the time, but it’s time to get back to real life. We flash forward to the present in New York, Rebecca’s world muted in greys and blues with clothing as conservative as her hair.
She’s become a top tier lawyer, a career that she doesn’t enjoy but was pushed into by her overprotective, controlling mother. She’s just found out she’s being promoted to junior partner, and that’s just objectively, on paper fantastic, right?! ...So why isn’t she happy? She goes out onto the streets in the midst of a panic attack, spilling her pills all over the ground, and suddenly sees an ad for butter asking, “When was the last time you were truly happy?” A literal arrow and beam of sunlight then point to none other than Josh Chan. She strikes up a conversation with him where he tells her he’s been trying to make it in New York but doesn’t like it, so he’s moving back to his hometown, West Covina, California, where everyone is just...happy.
The word echoes in her mind, and she absorbs it like a pill. She decides to break free of the hold others have had over her life and turns down the promotion of her mother’s dreams. I didn’t realize the show was a musical when I started it, and it’s at this point that Rebecca is breaking out into its first song, “West Covina”. It’s a parody of the extravagant, classic Broadway numbers filled with a children’s marching band whose funding gets cut, locals joining Rebecca in synchronized song and dance, and finishing with her being lifted into the sky while sitting on a giant pretzel. This was the moment I realized there was something special here.
With this introduction, the stage has been set for the premise of the show. Each season was planned with an overall theme. Season one is all about denial, season two is about being obsessed with love and losing yourself in it, season three is about the spiral and hitting rock bottom, and season four is about renewal and starting from scratch. You can see this from how the theme songs change every year, each being the musical thesis for that season.
We start the show with a bunch of cliché characters: the crazy ex-girlfriend; her quirky sidekick; the hot love interest; his bitchy girlfriend; and his sarcastic best friend who’s clearly a much better match for the heroine. The magic of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is that no one in West Covina is the sum of their tropes. As Rachel says herself, “People aren’t badly written, people are made of specificities.”
The show is revolutionary for the authenticity with which it explores various topics but for the sake of this piece, we’ll discuss mental health, gender, Jewish identity, and sexuality. All topics that Bloom has dug into in her previous works but none better than here.
Simply from the title, many may be put off, but this is a story that has always been about deconstructing stereotypes. Rather than being called The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, where the story would be from an outsider’s perspective, this story is from that woman’s point of view because the point isn’t to demonize Rebecca, it’s to understand her. Even if you hate her for all the awful things she’s doing.
The musical numbers are shown to be in Rebecca’s imagination, and she tells us they’re how she processes the world, but as she starts healing in the final season, she isn’t the lead singer so often anymore and other characters get to have their own problems and starring roles. When she does have a song, it’s because she’s backsliding into her former patterns.
While a lot of media will have characters that seem to have some sort of vague disorder, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend goes a step further and actually diagnoses Rebecca with Borderline Personality Disorder, while giving her an earnest, soaring anthem. She’s excited and relieved to finally have words for what’s plagued her whole life.
When diagnosing Rebecca, the show’s team consulted with doctors and psychiatrists to give her a proper diagnosis that ended up resonating with many who share it. BPD is a demonized and misunderstood disorder, and I’ve heard that for many, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the first honest and kind depiction they’ve seen of it in media. Where the taboo of mental illness often leads people to not get any help, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend says there is freedom and healing in identifying and sharing these parts of yourself with others.
Media often uses suicide for comedy or romanticizes it, but Crazy Ex-Girlfriend explored what’s going through someone’s mind to reach that bottomless pit. Its climactic episode is written by Jack Dolgen (Bloom’s long-time musical collaborator, co-songwriter and writer for the show) who’s dealt with suicidal ideation. Many misunderstood suicide as the person simply wanting to die for no reason, but Rebecca tells her best friend, “I didn’t even want to die. I just wanted the pain to stop. It’s like I was out of stories to tell myself that things would be okay.”
Bloom has never shied away from heavy topics. The show discusses in song the horrors of what women do to their bodies and self-esteem to conform to beauty standards, the contradiction of girl power songs that tell you to “Put Yourself First” but make sure you look good for men while doing it, and the importance of women bonding over how terrible straight men are are near and dear to her heart. This is a show that centers marginalized women, pokes fun at the misogyny they go through, and ultimately tells us the love story we thought was going to happen wasn’t between a woman and some guy but between her and her best friend.
I probably haven’t watched enough Jewish TV or film, but to me, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the most unapologetic and relatable Jewish portrayal I’ve seen overall. From Rebecca’s relationship with her toxic, controlling mother (if anyone ever wants to know what my mother’s like, I send them “Where’s the Bathroom”) to Patti Lupone’s Rabbi Shari answering a Rebecca that doesn’t believe in God, “Always questioning! That is the true spirit of the Jewish people,” the Jewish voices behind the show are clear.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend continues to challenge our perceptions when a middle-aged man with an ex-wife and daughter realizes he’s bisexual and comes out in a Huey Lewis saxophone reverie. The hyper-feminine mean girl breaks up with her boyfriend and realizes the reason she was so obsessed with getting him to commit to her is the same reason she’s so scared to have female friends. She was suffering under the weight of compulsory heterosexuality, but thanks to Rebecca, she eventually finds love and friendship with women.
This thread is woven throughout the show. Many of the characters tell Rebecca when she’s at her lowest of how their lives would’ve never changed for the better if it wasn’t for her. She was a tornado that blew through West Covina, but instead of leaving destruction in her wake, she blew apart their façades, forcing true introspection into what made them happy too.
Rebecca’s story is that of a woman who felt hopeless, who felt no love or happiness in her life, when that’s all she’s ever wanted. She tried desperately to fill that void through validation from her parents and random men, things romantic comedies had taught her matter most but came up empty. She tried on a multitude of identities through the musical numbers in her mind, seeing herself as the hero and villain of the story, and eventually realized she’s neither because life doesn’t make narrative sense.
It takes her a long time but eventually she sees that all the things she thought would solve her problems can’t actually bring her happiness. What does is the real family she finds in West Covina, the town she moved to on a whim, and finally having agency over herself to use her own voice and tell her story through music.
The first words spoken by Rebecca are, “When I sang my solo, I felt, like, a really palpable connection with the audience.” Her last words are, “This is a song I wrote.” This connection with the audience that brought her such joy is something she finally gets when she gets to perform her story not to us, the TV audience, but to her loved ones in West Covina. Rebecca (and Rachel) always felt like an outcast, West Covina (and creating the show) showed her how cathartic it is to find others who understand you.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the prologue to Rebecca’s life and the radical story of someone getting better. She didn’t need to change her entire being to find acceptance and happiness, she needed to embrace herself and accept love and help from others who truly cared for her. Community is what she always needed and community is what ultimately saved her.
*
P.S. If you have Spotify... I also process life through music, so I made some playlists related to the show because what better way to express my deep affection for it than through song?
CXG parodies, references, and is inspired by a lot of music from all kinds of genres, musicals, and musicians. Same goes for the videos themselves. I gathered all of them into one giant playlist along with the show’s songs.
A Rebecca Bunch mix that goes through her character arc from season 1 to 4.
I’m shamelessly a fan of Greg x Rebecca, so this is a mega mix of themselves and their relationship throughout the show.
*
I’m in a TV group where we wrote essays on our favorite shows of the 2010s, so here is mine on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, I realized I forgot to ever post it. Also wrote one for Schitt’s Creek.

when night falls i am your escape
a sequel / prequel to sanctuary! ( as requested by @athenakyle )
The dull sound of rhythmic knocking against a wall has Jisook stopping in her tracks, a tray of dirty dishes in her grasp.
“I’d keep walking if I were you,” Sanghoon says, fixing his glasses, a leather portfolio tucked in the crook of his arm. “Miss _____ has Master Jeongguk over again.”
Jisook sighs.
“I just did the laundry,” she mutters, walking off.
Sanghoon lets out a terse chuckle in reply, checking his watch.
“Ah, the Chairman and his wife also informed me earlier that they won’t be home for dinner tonight,” he calls out to Jisook. “They’ll be dining with the rest of the board of directors. Miss _____ will be dining out with Master Jeongguk also, so do let the rest of the staff know that only a light supper will be needed when they return, Jisook-sshi.”
“Thank you, Sanghoon.”
Sanghoon bows his head as Jisook disappears into the kitchen, the sound of her shuffling slipper-clad feet growing distant.
The rhythmic knocking eventually stops, and Sanghoon arches a brow at the sudden quiet, looking up from his diary, page half-turned. A few beats later, the door to your room opens, and you emerge in the middle of tying the silk belt of your robe around your waist, hair in a messy bun atop your head.
“Afternoon, Sanghoon,” you greet, lazy smile stretching across your lips. “How you doin’ today?”
“Good afternoon, Miss _____,” he replies, bowing his head. “I’m well. Thank you for asking.”
“Want anything from the kitchen while I’m there?”
“No thank you.”
“Okie dokie. Enjoy the rest of your day, okay?”
“I will do my best, thank you.”
                                                         〰️
Jeongguk yelps when something cold hits the small of his back, clicking his tongue as he pushes himself up off his stomach to sit against the headboard, taking the beer you’re holding out to him.
“It honestly surprises me that I’m allowed inside here every time I come over,” he says, taking a sip.
“Why?” you laugh, reaching into your bowl for a strawberry.
“Uh, ‘cause you’re one of the richest people in the country, and me and the hyungs literally have diets consisting of ramen and discounted kimbap. We are not the same, dude.”
“No one’s complained yet.”
“I don’t think your staff would complain. Maybe talk about you behind your back though.”
“Jeongguk, you’ve seen Jisook. She nags me more than my actual grandma. She would not hesitate to call me out.”
“True. She has such a cold stare sometimes. I can come over here horny out of my mind, but then I see her and I feel like my balls shrivel up and die in an instant.”
“Gross.”
“Well. I could be rich soon though. I hit five hundred thousand followers on Soundcloud within twenty four hours of those photos coming out from that dinner. And then seven hundred and fifty thousand followers on Instagram not long after. Kinda scary how quickly people can find my shit. You didn’t even promote me straight away.”
“Your nudes will be next,” you joke.
“Pfft. Please. You say that like it’s a bad thing. My nudes are spectacular.”
“You know who I bet would love to see your nudes? What’s-her-face. Hara? No, Hana.”
“Oh, Jesus. Don’t,” Jeongguk groans. “I thought her seeing you with me would force her to give up, but now I feel like she’s gotten worse. She keeps blowing up my phone.”
“You gave her your number?”
“Nah, nah. She’s been messaging me on Instagram. I bet it’s because of your ‘statement’.”
“What about my statement?”
“You said I was a ‘close friend’.”
“Well, what am I supposed to say? ‘Jeongguk’s my fuckbuddy. He’s got my favourite flavour of dick!’”
“Aww,” Jeongguk coos, hand pressed to his chest. “I’m touched.”
“Yeah, well, you can touch yourself on your own for the rest of eternity if you keep that up.”
                                                         〰️
“Hi, excuse me, um… c-can I get your autograph?”
You look up from your menu to see someone standing a few feet away from Jeongguk, holding a notebook close to her chest as she waits nervously for an answer.
“Yeah, for sure,” Jeongguk says, grinning and wiggling his eyebrows at you briefly before taking the notebook from the girl, scribbling his signature on a blank page before bowing and watching her walk off. “Look at that. I’m famous.”
“Congratulations,” you say, nonchalant as you turn your eyes back to the menu.
“Damn, you really live like this? I could get used to it.”
“You say that now. Wait ‘til you’re getting followed into the bathroom when you go to take a dump.”
“How much do you think I could sell my shit for now that I’m famous?”
“I dunno. Ask Hana. I bet she’d be the only one crazy enough to buy it,” you say, looking up from your menu again to grin.
“Shut up.”
“Are you ready to order, Miss _____?” a waiter asks, stepping up to the table with a small notepad.
“Mmm, I think I’ll have truffle linguine,” you say, setting the menu down on the table.
“Of course. And for you, sir?”
“Uh… I’ll have the tenderloin steak with the cream potatoes, thank you. Medium rare,” Jeongguk replies, smiling.
“Excellent. We’ll have it over right away.”
“Thank you.”
“Damn. The perks of being rich.” Jeongguk leans back in his seat, hands on the back of his head. “I really could get used to this.”
“Don’t get too cocky, Jeon,” you say, taking a sip of your wine. “It’s not a good look on you.”
“You know what is a good look on me?” You look over your wine glass. “You.”
“God.”
                                                         〰️
“How were your meals tonight?” the waiter asks, collecting you and Jeongguk’s empty plates.
“Amazing. Send my compliments to the chef,” Jeongguk says, smiling. “I’ve always wanted to say that.”
“Would you like some dessert? Coffee?”
“Oh man, I’m stuffed.”
“Just the bill, thank you, Minwoo,” you say, reaching for your drink.
“Of course,” the waiter says, bowing his head before walking off with the empty dishes.
Jeongguk reaches into his back pocket for his wallet as you finish off your wine, counting out his money before slipping it into the small leather folder the waiter sets down on the table.
“What’re you doing?” you ask, amused; Jeongguk looks at you, confused.
“Paying?”
“Why?”
The crease between his eyebrows grows deeper as he furrows his eyebrows, saying, “because I asked you to come to this restaurant with me? Wait, hold on, I’m confused. Am I missing something? Should I not be paying?”
“No, it’s just… most people would be making me pay, that’s all,” you say, shrugging your shoulders.
“Please,” Jeongguk scoffs, proceeding to put his money in and shut the leather folder. “In case you haven’t noticed, I am not like most people, sweet cheeks. Also, making you pay makes it seem like you’re my sugar mommy or some shit, and that feels weird as fuck.”
“Oh, eww. You’re right.”
“Come on, let’s go. I need a smoke.”
                                                         〰️
You can feel the floor of the club pulsing beneath the soles of your heels, walking over to your usual table with Hyemi and Sora on either side of you, paying no mind to all the heads that turn your way. The rest of your friends cheer and wave when they see you approach, making space for you three in the booths.
The drinks easily come and go, and eventually a bunch of you end up on the dancefloor, nodding your heads and swaying your bodies to the sound of the music, laughing and fooling around as you always do.
One by one, you friends drift off, returning to the tables or leaving with a handsome stranger, until only you and Hyemi remain on the dancefloor – but even she looks like she’s one song away from disappearing from your side.
As you anticipate, just as one Jay Park song ends and another starts, Hyemi has her fingers entwined with an unfamiliar face, and she turns to look at you with an apologetic smile before wandering off. You let her go with a casual shrug and a smile, unbothered because you’re used to this routine now, knowing the fun is only yet to start now that you’re no longer surrounded by your friends.
It’s now that others will gain the courage to approach you, no longer resorting to fleeting glances your way—as if they weren’t being completely obvious in doing so—but using their alcohol-fuelled bravado to make their way closer to you on the dancefloor, until eventually, someone will sidle right up to you, hand on your waist, department store jeans pressed to the back of your tailored Prada dress.
“Hey.”
Like clockwork, you feel a hand come to rest on the small of your back, and the air around you briefly smells like whiskey, cigarettes, and clean laundry.
“Jeongguk,” the stranger says, guiding your hips to sway in time to his.
“_____,” you reply, smiling to yourself.
“Knew that.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Surely everyone here does,” Jeongguk says, chuckling.
“You’d be surprised.”
“No way. They’d be insane to think you’re just another pretty face. Are you having a good time so far, _____?”
“Sure am, Jeongguk. How ‘bout you?”
“Me? Oh, I’m fuckin’ petrified.”
“What?” you ask, laughing as you turn around, Jeongguk’s hands wrapping around your waist as you rest your hands on his chest.
(You’re excited to find that his chest is beautifully firm—almost rock solid—beneath your palms.)
“Oh, definitely.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well, I’m not sure if you’ve got bodyguards watching you from afar. If I move my hands an inch lower, I could be tackled to the ground and banished from the country for laying a hand on probably the richest twenty-something year old in Korea.”
You throw your head back and laugh, the sound barely drowned out by the loud music.
“I don’t leave the house with bodyguards all the time,” you reply, grinning.
“Ah. A wild child, huh? I’ve heard that too actually.”
“Is that right?”
“Yup,” Jeongguk says, emphasising the last syllable with a pop.
“I’m surprised the tabloids are reporting the truth.”
“Oh, so it’s true? Oh, I like that.” Jeongguk grins when you laugh again. “So. What do you usually do on nights out, Miss _____?”
“Well, that depends on what you usually do on a night out, Mr. Jeongguk,” you reply.
“Hmm. Well, I’ll usually down a few drinks, dance next to a pretty girl, get slapped in the face before she tells me she has a boyfriend, and be on my merry way, crashing on my third secondhand mattress to the sound of my roommates fucking their boyfriends.”
“Sounds like a great time.”
“Eh. Could be better,” Jeongguk replies, shrugging. “Maybe havin’ the balls to dance with one of the richest people in the country will change my fate.”
You hum, barely audible.
“Or maybe this is the part where I slap you and find another hot guy to go home with.”
“Well if that’s the case, at least I can say I tried. I think I’ve done a lot better than that table on my left who’ve been staring at you from the moment you stepped foot on the dancefloor.” You turn to look off to the side, snorting when a cluster of guys startle and turn away from you before any of them can meet your eye.
“Story of my life,” you say, turning back to look at Jeongguk.
“It’s not too late to rewrite it, sweet cheeks,” Jeongguk says, winking. Smooth! “Unless, of course, you were planning on leaving with someone else.”
“Considering you’re the first person to come up to me, I think the gold medal is going to you tonight.”
Dramatically, Jeongguk swipes a finger under his eye.
“I’d like to thank my mother, my lucky lighter, and Jack Daniels.”
He takes your hand and leads you off the dancefloor, no complaints when you detour to your table and grab your things and wave goodbye to your friends who watch on with wide eyes as you leave with your arm hooked around Jeongguk’s.
His friends do the same, it seems, if the way he juts his chin out with a smug look on his face is anything to go by, ignoring the frantic waving to try and get his attention as he walks you to the door. He does, however, humour them with another wink just before he follows you out with a hand on your lower back, paying no mind to the ping of his phone when you’ve both exited the club.
“So. My place or yours?” he asks, waving down a taxi.
“Yours, s'il vous plait,” you reply, running your fingers through your hair. “My place is swarming with people and paperwork right now – probably the whole reason why I came out tonight actually.”
“That sounds so fun.” Jeongguk chuckles, opening the door to the taxi and holding it for you. “After you, sweet cheeks.”
“Wow. A gentleman.”
With a shrug, he waves you in, before climbing into the taxi after you, quoting the address of his apartment to the driver and leaning back, shoulder pressed against yours.
“So. What’s it like being filthy rich?”
“Eh,” you reply, shrugging. “It’s got its pros and cons.”
“Cons?” Jeongguk repeats, eyebrow raised. “That’s hard to believe.”
“That’s what everyone says – until they get a taste of the life, that is.”
“Hmm. Can’t relate. I get excited when I get a new follower on Soundcloud and Instagram, or when I can afford three cups of ramen instead of my usual two. I bet you barely notice followers flooding in – or even eat cup ramen.”
“Well, I can’t say cup ramen is a staple in my diet, but even I can’t resist that stuff. Just means I’ll have to do an extra session of hot yoga to get rid of all that excess sodium.”
“Hot yoga, huh?”
You look at Jeongguk, who stares off into space with wide eyes, totally distracted by what you’d just said. You laugh loudly, shaking your head.
“God, you’re such a… guy.”
“You said ‘hot’ and ‘yoga’ in the same sentence, and I am but a mere mortal,” Jeongguk replies, hand on his chest.
The taxi slows to a stop in front of an apartment complex, and you watch, intrigued, as Jeongguk hands his money to the driver, before stepping out and rounding the car to open the door for you.
He leads you up to his apartment, but without warning, he pauses, hand on the keypad of the front door.
“Shit,” he mutters.
“A problem?” you ask, amused.
“Yeah, I just remembered neither me nor my roommates cleaned up before we left.”
You shrug, saying, “doesn’t sound like a problem to me.”
“Oh, it’s a problem. How dare I invite a goddess into a trash can of an apartment?”
“Are you like this with everyone you sleep with?”
“Well… the guys and gals I sleep with don’t usually have a net worth of a trillion Won…”
You laugh again, shaking your head.
“You can open the door, Jeongguk.”
“Alright, alright. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Jeongguk punches in the passcode and pushes open the door, turning on the lights and kicking aside stray shoes in the doorway to make a clear path to walk through.
“Honestly,” he says. “I’d say shut your eyes and let me carry you to the bedroom, but I can’t even guarantee my room is any better.”
“This isn’t bad,” you say, scoffing as you look around at the expanse of the apartment, unbothered by the old takeout boxes, empty soda and beer cans, crumpled loose papers, and the remnants of rolled joints and cigarettes in ashtrays around the living room. “You made it seem like a junk yard.”
“I don’t know if you’re just saying that, but I’m not gonna push it,” Jeongguk says, rubbing the back of his neck and chuckling, before motioning to the door of his room. “If you so desire, your Highness, your throne awaits just over there.”
“Weird. Your lap is right here,” you say, nonchalant as you kick your heels off and put your bag down on the sofa, before walking over to Jeongguk’s room.
“Oh,” Jeongguk groans, fist pressed to his lips as he watches the way your hips sway, nodding to himself before eventually chasing after you.
                                                         〰️
Taehyung whimpers softly as Yoongi bites gently at his neck, punching in the passcode without pulling away.
“Hyung,” Taehyung moans, toeing off his shoes, hands fisted around the lapels of Yoongi’s shirt. “Hyung, wait. What’s that noise?”
“Huh?” Dazed, Yoongi lifts his head, eyes squinted in concentration as Taehyung takes the opportunity to nibble at the shell of the elder’s ear, fingers curling around his belt loops. “Is that… I think that’s Jeongguk.”
“Jeonggukie’s home already?”
“Oh fuck, Jeongguk! Yes! Yeah, right there. God!”
Frozen, Yoongi and Taehyung stare off into space as the apartment fills with the sound of moans and groans, jolting in surprise when Jeongguk’s bedroom door swings open.
Panting, Jeongguk frantically crosses the apartment completely naked, stopping dead in his tracks when he notices Yoongi and Taehyung standing in the doorway, staring at him. He jerks his head in a nod, chest still heaving as he grins.
“Hyung, I’m grabbing some condoms from your room,” he calls out.
They watch silently as Jeongguk disappears into Yoongi’s room – and Hoseok’s room, for good measure – before returning to his own room and kicking his door shut, and it isn’t very long before the sounds return.
“You wanna just… watch a movie?” Yoongi mutters, sighing.
“With the volume turned up very loud please, hyung,” Taehyung replies, nodding solemnly.
“I guess I’ll text Hoseok to warn him in case he plans on doing anything with Joon then.”
                                                         〰️
“Christ, you guys wanna turn that down?” Jeongguk says loudly, wincing as he stands shirtless and in a pair of sweatpants against his bedroom doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, lit cigarette held in the corner of his mouth.
Yoongi and Taehyung look at him, eyes narrowed, even as Yoongi’s thumb mashes the volume button on the remote.
“What the fuck were you doing in there?” Yoongi asks, frowning as he holds his lit cigarette to Taehyung’s lips. “I know you’re loud, but Jesus Christ, Guk.”
Jeongguk shrugs, exhaling a cloud of smoke.
“Did you kill her?” Taehyung asks, exhaling. “Have you just fucked someone to death? I’m telling you right now, we will not be your accessories to murder, Jeon Jeongguk. I’m telling the police everything.”
“I’m sure I can settle any lawsuits that might come from tonight.”
Yoongi inhales sharply, dropping his cigarette into the ashtray on the coffee table as he coughs violently when you step out of Jeongguk’s room, tying your hair up. With wide eyes, Taehyung stares at you, mouth opening and shutting repeatedly as he struggles to find words.
“Y-you’re… you… you’re…” he stammers.
“That’s Yoongi hyung, my roommate; and his boyfriend, Taehyung hyung,” Jeongguk says, motioning towards them. “I’m sure I don’t need to introduce you to _____.”
“What the fuck, Jeongguk?” Yoongi says in between coughs. “What the fuck?”
“Your boy’s got game, hyung.”
“Mmm, and a great dick,” you add, picking up your bag.
“Is your driver here? I’ll walk you down.”
“It was nice meeting you two.”
Yoongi and Taehyung stay frozen on the sofa, completely dumbfounded, even when you and Jeongguk leave and meet your driver at the front of the apartment complex.
“Oh,” you say, reaching into your bag and pulling out a pen, grabbing Jeongguk’s hand to scribble your number on his palm.
“Oh, this is officially the best day of my fuckin’ life,” he says, grinning. “Same time next week, sweet cheeks?”
“Wouldn’t say no to that,” you reply, winking and opening the car door. “Let me know if any of your neighbours wanna file any complaints.”

TRIGGERS: Death, Cheating & Single Parenting
May my mercy prevail over my wrath.
Men with good hearts were always hard to come by in this day and age, those who portrayed themselves to be usually just hid their agenda’s better than others. But there was no man like Kraysen Ford, the boy next door, the man with intergrity and respect.
Brought up on a farm in Prada Verde; he was a country boy through and through. Growing up in the house with his Mother, Father, Younger Sister, Older brother and Grandma; a close family who were always found laughing around the dinner table at night, cards lay out and jokes being told. They were a genorous bunch, always thinking of others; whether his mother was running a charity food drive for those less fortunate in the community or his father was out helping his older neighbours with the chores they’d grown too weary to do in their old age.
Kraysen spent his years growing up seeing all these acts of kindess, in and outside of the home. The way his grandmother talked about the long marriage she had to his grandfather before he passed, when they decided she should live with them so she wasn’t alone. The way his mother and father were together, so effortless, yet still so compassionate and tender all these years on. Each and every moment, Kray took from it, he learnt how to be a real man. Not the kind of man that women loved in the movies, a bad boy. Sure, he had his traits — but he was far from it.
In High school he met his best friend, the person who he knew got him. Although he was kind and sweeter than the usual popular lads in high school, Kraysen made his way to the top by being one of the most liked people due to his nature. He was a favorite of not only the students, but the teachers and was academic, although not that interested in it. His favorite class was music, always taking the time to sing, play the piano or guitar which he showed a natural ability with.
But knew he’d never be able to persue it, his job was to take over the farm from his dad. And while some people would say that it was unfair to put that burden on a child, Kraysen knew it was not only the right thing to do but also the smart thing. It was a steady job, music never would be and Kray saw a wife and children in his future; he saw them on that very farm where he’d grown up, playing in the fields while Harp and his wife would sip cold punch in the summer time.
Throughout school Kraysen dated an array of girls, he wasn’t a heartbreaker, in fact, they ended up breaking his. Whether it was cheating, saying he was too nice or it just wasn’t the right time — he found himself always wondering if there was something wrong with him, or maybe it was only the bad guys that ended up with the girls in the end.
It was only in his last year of high school, as a Senior, that he began to sneak out to parties; he was sure if he asked his parents they’d be fine with it, but it was more fun that way. His Grandma caught him a few times, saying it was their secret — their bond only grew. But those nights he realised that he struggled to find the one, no one ever stood out to him anymore, he was a man that still appreciated the woman’s form, and the woman he wanted he couldn’t have. That was his problem, and he knew it all too well.
After high school he began working at the farm immediately, as a graduation gift he was given a red truck; like the one he’d always dreamed of, which Kraysen and his father worked every day to restore; it was their thing, something he cherished. But he knew he wanted to do something more, he wanted to be more — Help people, but just in a different way to his parents.
With the grades and the right attitude, Kraysen attended Savannah State University where he studied Psychology, so he could become a therapy and eventually, after completing all the courses — he graduated and after speaking with his father, they set up Ranch Therpay; Kray was aware that most people found it daunting to go into someones office and talk to them, so he decided to use the farm as a tool. Each patient would walk with him through the farm, ride the horses, feed the animals and that’s when therapy would commence. He believed it was better to get a lot of his patients out of a room and into the open, a lot of people didn’t get to do that. Depression kept them couped up, or they were too afraid to go out alone, only two reasons among thousands.
And it worked, a sucess that was reported on the news, the papers all around Prada Verde. They were known as the family of givers, those who were happy to help others and wanted to keep helping as much as they could.
He his older brother, Bash, also named Bazen. But he was older, married and had a family of his own.  He’d decided the family business wasn’t for him at a young age and ventured into property sales, he was amazing at it and was grateful for what he had. They saw each other most Sundays at church or when they had family meals, in honour of their family traditions. But the questions were always asked as to when Harp would settle down; when he’d finally meet the girl of his dreams.
So he started actively looking until he met her, like a whirl wind she came into his life and ripped him apart like a tornado set on a path of destruction. She was everything he never usually went for, a seductive, maipulative and soul sucking creature who he’d end up falling in love with.
And then she was pregnant.
While Kray was happy, he could tell she wasn’t. It was like being punched in the stomach, each day became painstakingly long as he wished for their child to arrive, in hopes it may fix the clear void that had become present, but instead she flew deeper into a void of anger and annoyance. And the day their beautiful daughter, Dotty Andrews arrived, she was gone. Left without another word, and from that day on he vowed he’d do anything and everything for his daughter.
However, he did what he had to, to win her back. But it was short lived, the day they were marrying on his farm, they all just dissapeared.
Like a light went out. And then there was no one.
Just Kray and his daughter, his entire family had almost been wiped out, and left a man completely torn apart. What would he do? Where would he go? How would he live? A man who was amazing dad, but had always had the love of his parents to help him when needed. But that had been ripped away from him, and he had no answers as to why.
Now he’s a solitary man, who lives on his farm, still loving and happy, but keeps himself distances as to not get hurt again. He just prays nothing comes to take his daughter away, for that would be the worst thing that could ever happen to him.

here to pronounce my love for my wife cat and my evil wife who wants to kill me stasia xx
Catlina
Oh you will be adored and taken care of. You want to stay up all hours of the night? She’ll make sure you have the good coffee and tea for you ready. She will make sure you have plenty of meals to heat up. And will brave the cold for you so you never have to leave if you don’t want too. In fact she will cuddle away the cold for you. You’ll listen to her prattle on about her campaign that’s happening or hear her curse and rant about whatever video game she’s playing but it’s all fine as she looks cute dressed in lazy clothes. All she asks is your kindness and love in return.
Stasia
Ah yes your queen of darkness that will admire the lengths you went through to move through the ranks. You may feel like you’re the protagonist in The Devil Wears Prada but this time instead of getting fired you might just get killed. She admires your willingness to get the job done and are rewarded as such with most affection starting off as pats on the head, then she needs you one night, eventually she needs you by her side as much as possible so she has you move in. The final step is her offering of immortality to you. It can be done however you please with magic to keep your mortalness and stay in the sun or become undead and prowl the nights, either way it’s a turn on for her. At the end of the day you will never want for she will provide, as long as you don’t oppose her or get in the way.

I would really like to read something where Lucifer and Chloe are in a relationship, but try to keep it a secret and then Dan catches them beeing unusually cute/soft/gentle with each other
Damn okay go ahead and reveal my favorite types of fics will you?? I’ve actually written this fic (several times) but I can never turn down writing more Outsider POV. Check out my fics Tangled Up In You and In Sickness and Hell for more Dan + Deckerstar content! Anyways this fic came out dark so sorry?
Kids. Not like the teenagers Dan called kids because he knew they hated it, but legitimate kids. Two of them laying there--siblings--defenseless and cold as the concrete around them. He tried to tell himself that they hadn’t suffered in their last moments, but Dan knew that was a false comfort. They had suffered. They died out here alone and terrified with only a lone passerby to notice them three hours after they’d stopped breathing.
Dan didn’t need to imagine his own breath being squeezed from his lungs as theirs was. He knew that suffocating feeling of dread and overwhelming terror mimicked the feeling of death well enough. The LAPD didn’t get as many cases with kids as one might think, but oh they’d had them in the past. The only difference between normal cases and kid cases was that you never grew desensitized to kid cases. They cut just as deeply as the first homicide he’d ever handled.
In some twisted way, Dan was always glad when Chloe got assigned to these cases with him. They’d finalized their divorce last year, but he still found comfort in knowing that he had someone there who shared his exact feelings. Every other officer on the scene looked at the kids like they were their own, but Chloe...Chloe looked down at those siblings and pictured the same child as he did. Dan knew that it was morbid to think that and even find comfort in it, but he just couldn’t stop himself. He didn’t dictate his coping mechanisms, and after being on the force for so long, he’d stopped trying to.
However, this case might have just changed said mechanism once and for all. Chloe had started out doing as well as one could do on a case involving kids, but gradually through the night her composure had begun to disintegrate. Dan didn’t know what it was about this particular case, but Chloe was taking it harder than usual. He wasn’t judging her for it in the slightest, oh no, but he did worry for her.
Lucifer had been looming over her shoulder, silent and face an impenetrable wall of rage. He’d stood closer to Chloe than normal, and Dan caught his hand resting in the small of her back a few times. If it had been any other case, he would have been suspicious, but this time Dan just felt bad. It was obvious to everyone who looked their way that Chloe wasn’t doing well. That all came to a head ten minutes later.
Chloe was trying to run through some timeline details with Ella, when she stopped dead in the middle of her sentence.
“Chloe?” Ella asked gently.
With the spotlights and the camera flashes, Chloe looked a sickly shade of white. Her mouth was open, but her words were seemingly stuck in her throat. She brought one gloved hand to her stomach, and wavered on her feet. “I need a minute,” she said before walking stiffly in the direction of her cruiser. She made it three steps before breaking out in a run and disappearing into the shadow of a nearby building.
Ella stared after her in shock, but Dan was watching Lucifer. His frown had deepened, but his eyes lacked the professional blankness they had earlier. He murmured a few words Dan couldn’t hear to Ella, who simply nodded, before setting off in the direction Chloe had gone.
Dan tried to go back to the task at hand, but his brain couldn’t erase the image of Chloe’s face right before she’d run off. Against his better judgment, Dan went looking for her. He knew she hated when he caught her in those rare vulnerable moments on a case. In these situations, Dan saw her as a wounded feral dog; her pain made her lash out and the best way to diffuse the situation was to leave her alone. And yet, there was something written on her face that just made Dan’s stomach twist. It was a look of pure despair that he’d never seen on her before.
He crept slowly toward her car. He didn’t need to talk to her, he just needed to see her. He just needed to know she made it to the car safely.
Dan heard Chloe sobbing before he saw her. It was muffled by something he couldn’t decipher, but when he heard a second, softer voice over top of hers, he had a pretty good idea of what--or rather who-- it was. Dan ducked behind a car, too nosy to just turn back but not wanting to disrupt the moment either. When he peered over the hood to steal a glance at the scene, Dan frowned.
The passenger door to Chloe’s cruiser was open, but it wasn’t Chloe sitting in the seat. Not exactly, anyways. Lucifer was the one in the passenger seat, and Chloe sat on his lap, legs drawn up to her chest and face pressed into the crook of his neck. Dan expected Lucifer to look annoyed by the outburst of emotion, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. He wasn’t complaining about her muddy boots staining his Prada pants or that her makeup was undoubtedly ruining the silk handkerchief crumpled in her left hand. Instead, Lucifer’s arms were wrapped tight around Chloe’s shaking frame and he’d angled his head to rest on hers. He shifted to cradle her head with one hand and rub patterns into her back with the other. He was saying something that Dan couldn’t hear, and for once in his life, Dan didn’t want to hear. In fact, he wished he’d never stopped to look.
Dan felt like he was seeing something forbidden. He knew he should feel worse than he did about finding out his ex-wife was with someone else, especially someone like Lucifer, but he just couldn’t. Chloe looked so vulnerable and Lucifer was holding her too intimately for a crime scene.
Dan had never done that for Chloe; she’d never asked him to. Perhaps that was why he was here, watching this secret embrace. Chloe and Lucifer had a connection that Dan couldn’t replicate even if he had been the best husband in the world. His and Chloe’s marriage had always been one of convenience, Dan knew that. It could have worked, but they’d grown too complacent as the years went on. Their relationship had been so easy and so predictable that they eventually just neglected it. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, they’d just outstayed their welcome.
Looking at Lucifer and the way he held Chloe as if it was the last time he’d ever do so, Dan knew the truth. Lucifer and Chloe’s relationship was not one of proximity or thoughtlessness. It wouldn’t shrivel up and fade into oblivion like he may have hoped it would have once upon a time.
Dan allowed himself a small, sad smile. He watched them for a moment more before getting up. As he walked back to the crime scene, Dan felt like he’d left behind a heaviness he never realized existed.

somebody else l Shawn Mendes imagine.
(a/n): this might become into a series, but I'm not sure. I hope you like it. AND I finished watching Big Little Lies season 2 and I was thinking about doing an AU where Shawn and his wife are like, part of the series’ dynamic? like a rich couple with young kids and stuff? let me know!
summary: Shawn is a newly divorced father, but his ex-wife, Camila, is still haunting him, even if he loves you.
Tumblr media
You remember taking powerful and decided strides when you first saw him, holding a glass of white wine on his right hand as he laughed with three other men.
You didn’t actually mean to see him or be amazed by the way his tall frame stood in the crowd. No, you were just attending your company’s annual Christmas event.
You were one of the non-visible faces on the music industry, but were incredibly okay with it; staying away from the spotlight while making a lot of money wasn’t that bad. Musicians didn’t usually go to the Business Strategy & Operations department of their label, just as you usually didn’t go to the floors where songs were being created.
You were lucky enough to never be around New York City by the time these events were held, always making up excuses to not be around the busy city and paparazzi stalking the hottest names in the business. But, somehow, you ended up in the wrong place at the right time, when he caught your eye.
You knew he was fresh out of a divorce, the news being the headline of every magazine and newspaper for a good month, with people wondering what had happened between Hollywood’s sweethearts. Still, one night after going out with mutual friends you agreed on a date.
He ended up being exactly what you didn’t want him to be, because from that moment on, it was impossible to not fall for him.
He explained everything that happened between him and his now ex-wife, from the fights to the hard realization that they had fallen out of love and only desire, plus their three-year-old daughter was keeping their marriage alive and forcing them to star together. So, Camila, the ex-wife, found somebody new and Shawn was doing the same, with you.
The first few months were quiet, keeping the romance under wraps like it was the most precious thing. People that knew what was going on could be counted with a few fingers and they didn’t want anything to change, until that Friday afternoon they decided to pick up their food instead of ordering in, and a sneaky person took a picture, creating chaos.
From that moment on, there was no doubt that Shawn was dating someone, but the question was who was the mystery woman holding his hand and laughing in the, apparently, empty street at one in morning? It didn’t take long for media outlets to realize that it was you, some research analyst for Universal Music, that most artists and people around the music business knew your name, but didn’t necessarily recognize your face.
That day, when the news got out, people around the globe recognized you as Shawn Mendes’ new girlfriend.
Suddenly, the followers count started rising. Photos that you didn’t even remember taking, from university or even high school, started roaming the internet.
Shawn reassured you, said that there was nothing to worry about, that he wouldn’t talk about it in public and that he’d try for his management team to keep the paparazzi following you at the minimum.
You were advised by Universal Music to keep your accounts private. You were even called by Human Resources to sign a “love contract” since Shawn was a Universal client and there could be legal trouble, which was incredibly weird and on the verge of humiliating.
Still, Shawn and you kept going strong. Four months, to be exact, until Shawn decided it was time for you to meet his daughter, Luana Mendes-Cabello, but like any decent mother, Camila wanted get to meet you first before introducing a new figure on her daughter’s life, just like Shawn had done with Camila’s new boyfriend.
It wasn’t the gorgeous, pop princess status that scared you at all. You knew you were just as beautiful and talented, you just were a rockstar in silence and without the entire world knowing.
On the other hand, the ex-wife status was pretty terrifying.
You didn’t have a hard time accepting and realizing that Shawn was the real deal; his smile and way of seeing life was fulfilling and made you feel loved and safe, which was something you had been looking for you entire life. but, no matter how confident you were in yourself, their history was intimidating to your short and relatively new relationship.
That seemed to go away when you saw her walk inside the casual brunch spot Shawn had chosen. She wasn’t wearing any make-up, but still looked good in jeans, a hoodie and a Louis Vuitton bag decorating her forearm.
She greeted Shawn first with a small hug, before giving you a smile and repeating the short hug, even if it was kind of awkward, something that Shawn picked up and subtly placed his hand on the small of your back before sitting again.
“It’s so nice to meet you, (Y/N). A friend told me your strategies for promoting new artists’ are the best in the business!” Camila placed her Prada sunglasses on the table before smiling at you.
“Oh, that’s very nice. I mean, I try to do the best I can, you know the business... Sometimes artists get a shitty business strategy and get dropped by the label.” You said before quickly scolding yourself, maybe saying bad words wasn’t the best choice for a woman that was testing you to be around her daughter.
“I completely understand that, there should be more people like you around the block, I think I'll take your business card just in case.” She said before ordering a vanilla latte.
“You saw that new merch tactic I've been using on my instagram? All her idea.” Shawn added, making you blush.
“Wow, maybe I'll be making a move on you and take you to Epic Records.”
You smiled nervously, “He’s giving me way more credit than I deserve.”
“Trust me, he’s not.” Camila smiled before thanking the waiter for her coffee. “Well, I think you know that I asked Shawn to do this and I completely understand if it is a bit awkward, but I hope you also can see where I'm coming from, because letting a stranger on my daughter’s life is pretty nerve-wracking.”
“Well, she’s not a stranger, she’s my girlfriend.” Shawn said lifting his eyebrows at her.
Camila narrowed her eyes at him, “You know what I mean.”
You coughed to cut the tense moment, “Don’t worry, I completely understand. I think I'd do the same.”
Camila gave you a tight lipped smile, “Thanks for understanding.”
“Where’s your boyfriend? I thought he would be joining us.” Shawn asked taking a sip of his tea, trying to seem nonchalant, but it didn’t exactly work as you noticed his eyes eyeing her.
“He had to catch an early flight to Tokyo, some business went wrong,” Camila took a deep breath. “So, about Luana... Have you met her, like, when Shawn picks her up or something?”
Shawn chuckled, “Isn’t the point of this meeting because (Y/N) hasn’t met Lu?”
“Right...” Camila laughed. “Lu’s a very sweet girl and can get very attached, but she can also be a pain and kind of overprotective with this one over here,” she pointed at Shawn with her head, making Shawn smile and look down. “Maybe you should be especially warned that she may not take an instant liking towards you, but don’t worry! She’ll warm up to you eventually.”
“I hope eventually doesn’t take too long.” You chuckled nervously.
---------------------------
Shawn was bouncing his leg up and down as he waited for Camila to open the door of their previously shared home.
Camila opened the door wearing silk pajamas with a messy bun, she kissed his cheek and he could help but linger a little bit longer than he should’ve. Camila was going to say something, because even if they weren’t together anymore she knew him too well. But, their moment was interrupted by a mop of brown curls and pale skin, the perfect mix between Camila and Shawn.
“Daddy!” The child ran towards Shawn’s arms, who lifted her in the air causing her to giggle.
“Hello, princess! You read to spend the weekend with me?” Shawn asked and the little girl just kept giggling. “Okay, say goodbye to mama and we can get going.”
Camila gave her a big kiss and hug before giving her back to Shawn, who placed Luana back on the ground and signaled his car and told her to wait for him.
Camila sighed, “Shawn, don’t.”
“What? I’m not doing anything.”
“I know you. We tried, we fought and it didn’t work, we just have to let it go. plus, (Y/N) is really great. We are moving on and that’s okay.”
Shawn took a deep breath before giving his ex-wife a quick kiss goodbye and walking to his black Jeep that he loved so much.
He constantly checked on his daughter through the rearview mirror. He turned down the volume of an old Frozen song before talking to her.
“So, there’s someone waiting for us back in my place.”
Luana funnily scrunched her face.
Shawn melted at her cuteness before explaining. “You know how mommy now spends a lot of time with Joe?” Luana nodded. “Well, I also have someone new in my life that I want you to meet.”
Luana still didn’t say anything, making Shawn nervous.
“Her name is (Y/N), she’s very excited to meet you and I was hoping that you’d be nice to her.”
The little girl accommodated on her car seat before mumbling an “okay”.
Shawn smiled and knew they would be just fine.
Though, on the other side, you were nervously waiting on Shawn’s luxury apartment for him and his daughter to go inside.
When the knob twisted, your heart stopped for a second as you noticed a little girl hiding behind Shawn’s legs.
“Lu, honey. You won’t be able to meet this nice lady we’ve been talking about...” He carefully placed his hand on the top of her head, when she didn’t budge, he carefully knelt in front of her and cleared her messy hair out of her almond shaped eyes.
You did the same thing, kneeling to meet her height before her sweet eyes met yours. “Hi, I’m (Y/N).” You stretched your arm and placed your hand in front of her.
Luana carefully eyes you before taking your hand in her tiny one. “I’m Luana, but call me Lu.”
“Okay, Lu...” You released a deep breath you didn’t realize were holding. “Are you hungry? We have waffles waiting for you.”
The little girl softly giggled before taking her dad’s hand. “Can I have cream?”
Shawn chuckled, “I think we can work that out.”
Her eyes widened, “And sprinkles?”
“Now you’re just taking advantage of your mother not being here, so I'm saying no.”
Luana carefully turned to you, giving you the most precious puppy eyes, something she had most definitely picked up from her father. You winked at her, making her giggle, knowing she was getting the sprinkles she wanted.
The day went by quickly, Luana quickly getting tired, but trying to hide it so that she could stay in the couch watching Disney’s Brave.
“If you want to, we can make some popcorn and finish watching it tomorrow. Does that sound good?” You offered and Luana sleepily nodded.
“It’s my birthday in two weeks.”
“It is? That’s great!” You said getting up from the couch and pausing Netflix as Shawn picked her up.
“You can come.” Sha said yawning before resting her head on Shawn’s shoulder.
Shawn winked at you before walking to his daughter’s bedroom. You let yourself collapse on the couch, a smile decorating your face as you faintly heard footsteps approaching you.
“I thing that went great.” Shawn said carefully sitting next to you.
You smiled as you scooted closer to your boyfriend’s warm and firm body. He slowly made his way up and down your back. You opened your eyes and gave him a sweet, slow kiss.
Shawn smiled, slowly separating your lips as you run your hand through his soft curls.
“Do you wanna take it to the bedroom?” He offered in a low, sensual voice.
You laughed, carefully nipping his neck and relishing on his low moan. “We are not having sex with your daughter on the next room.”
Shawn pouted, “I didn’t know that was a condition.”
“It’s not a condition, it’s common sense!” You laughed, but still placed sweet kisses on his jaw.
He groaned, “Should we catch up with Money Heist, then?”
You quickly separated your lips from his face. “Now you’re talking!”
Shawn grew silent for a second as you roamed through the TV to find the show. He knew letting go of Camila was hard, he still hadn’t detached himself completely from the situation, but at the same time he knew that in this exact moment, he didn’t love her as much as he was getting to love you, and it was a mix of emotions he hated, but at the same time happily embraced as you curled on his side.
But, two months went by. He was dropping Luana back to Camila’s when he noticed the redness in her eyes; he knew she had been crying, even if she tried to hide it.
She kissed Luana and told her to go to her room because it was late and she had school the next morning.
Shawn stepped inside the house, instantly memories hit him like a ton of bricks; from early mornings having breakfast when Camila was pregnant, to the late fights and rainy mornings spent talking about the future when they had just learned that they were having a little girl.
“What happened?” Shawn asked quietly.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it.” Camila dismissed him quickly.
“Don’t lie to me, Cami. I know you, remember?”
Camila couldn’t hold back the tears any longer, letting them flow freely as Shawn hugged her; her body fitting his like a glove, but it wasn’t quite the same as when his (Y/N) curled up next to him in the middle of the night.
“Joe and I had a fight, he just stormed off and I just feel like a teenager. We’re adults, I shouldn’t be crying because of a fight with my boyfriend.”
He didn’t know how it happened, but somehow his forehead found hers and their breathing was getting mixed.
Shawn knew he shouldn’t; because he had an incredible girl waiting for him and because there was a reason why he and Camila got divorced, it wasn't an easy decision, but they still took it because it was the mature and sane thing to do.
So he reminded himself of that as he closed his eyes and softly pushed Camila away from him.
“I’m sorry, that shouldn’t have happened,” Camila wiped her eyes. “I don’t feel anything for you, Shawn. I don’t want to risk what I have.”
Shawn sighed, “That makes us two of us. Don’t worry, it won’t happen again.”
And with that he crossed the door and got inside his car. While he was driving back to his apartment, where you were waiting for him, he was just thinking about how much he loved you and didn’t want to lose you.
He could easily keep silent because, technically, nothing happened. But he also realized that he loved you too much to keep you in the dark.
So he came home and told you.
And you left.

H Walter and Walter P Fuller
Father and son "ahead of their times'
By BETTY JEAN MILLER Published Oct. 13, 2005
The Walter Fuller Community Center at 7891 26th Ave. N bears the full name of neither H. Walter Fuller nor Walter P. Fuller. It's just "Walter Fuller," and perhaps that's best, for it would be difficult to separate the deeds of the father from those of the son.
H. Walter Fuller, the father, was an Atlantan, born in 1865. He came to Tampa in 1883 as a victim of tuberculosis and engaged in citrus farming and coastal trading. His future began to take shape when he moved to Bradenton in 1886 and went into road building and contracting. He also served Manatee County in the Legislature for 10 years, first as a representative and then as a senator.
H. Walter Fuller's career in construction led him up the coast, where he helped build military fortifications at Fort De Soto and Egmont Key during the Spanish-American War, and he began building roads in Pinellas County.
Because he had owned and operated an electric street car company in Bradenton, Fuller was given charge of managing and extending St. Petersburg's street car lines, which were privately owned.
And thereupon began more than six frenetic decades of Fuller enterprises and activities in Pinellas.
The senior Fuller moved here in 1907 with his wife and five children. With financial backing of another developer and investor, Jacob Disston, from 1909 to 1917, Fuller extended Central Avenue and the trolley car line to Boca Ciega Bay, increased the trolley system from seven to 23 miles and bought thousands of acres of real estate, much of which was in the Jungle area. The trolley line gave access to this land.
He became a millionaire and is credited with starting the city's first real land boom from 1911 to 1914.
Around this time, son Walter P., who was born in 1894, was a partner in and manager of 11 corporations controlled by his father, including a Tampa Bay passenger steamship line, a Gulfport to Pass-a-Grille boat line, and St. Petersburg's first electric power plant.
Alas, H. Walter overextended himself and went into bankruptcy in 1917, which at that time was a disgrace.
But he soon recovered.
With a $1-million advance from a Philadelphia banker, the Fullers bought back most of the land they had lost by 1921. The two also started the Laurel Park real estate development in Hendersonville, N.C. Eventually Walter P. bought out his father's St. Petersburg interests and the elder Fuller turned his attentions to North Carolina, where he stayed in real estate until he died in 1943.
Walter P. Fuller at various times owned 3,200 acres in St. Petersburg and 2,500 acres in central Pinellas County, owned the Pass-a-Grille Hotel, developed the Jungle area and built the Jungle Prada restaurant and shops on Park Street N, which included the Gangplank, the city's first nightclub. He also built the Jungle Hotel, crown jewel of the Jungle development. At Fifth Avenue and Park Street N, the hotel even had its own radio station and airport, for WSUN Radio emanated from there and the Piper-Fuller Airport was nearby. The hotel is now Admiral Farragut Academy.
The $750,000 in assets the junior Fuller had in 1923 was parlayed into $7-million by 1925. A year later, Fuller history repeated itself and he lost it all in the real estate collapse.
St. Petersburg Beach Realtor/historian Frank Hurley knew both Fullers, and particularly remembers their activities on the beaches.
"They were ahead of their times. I always pay tribute to the pair of them, because when most people saw sandspurs and scrub palms out here, (at St. Petersburg Beach) they saw a community.
"But the Fullers were opportunists," he continued. "And they were very competitive."
He tells the story of how Vina del Mar came to be: "The Fullers owned the Pass-a-Grille Hotel at about 26th Avenue. Boats would come over every day from Gulfport and go around Mud Key," now Vina del Mar. Because Mud Key was attached to the beach by sand flats, boats went to the east of it. This would take them to the Lizotte and other hotels in the Eighth Avenue area of Pass-a-Grille, where most of the guests would embark before coming north to the Fuller hotel.
"So the Fullers dredged out a channel on the (west) side of Mud Key, so the boats could now come up there and the tourists would get to the Pass-a-Grille Hotel dock first," Hurley said.
Walter P. Fuller was even more versatile and venturesome than his father.
His wheeling and dealing is said to have begun with his mother's stove falling apart when the young Fuller was in the eighth grade in Manatee County. His dad didn't have the $28 to buy a new one, but young Walter had $32 in the bank. His dad talked him into buying three of his lots for $10 down each and $2 a month. The $30 went to buy a new stove, but the boy had to figure out a way to earn the necessary $6 a month to keep up his land payments.
He got four jobs as a janitor with pay totaling exactly $6. He got up at 5 a.m. to work before school, and through various enterprises bought four more lots. He sold all of his lots for $1,500, making enough money to get him into the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1911.
Fuller's UNC record was so unusual that it, too, bears mentioning. To earn more money, he arranged to be campus correspondent for such newspapers as the Charlotte Observer, the Raleigh Times and the Wilmington Star. It is said he was the only student on campus with an office, a secretary and a car, a 1910 Hudson.
When the H. Walter Fuller Enterprises collapsed in 1917, Walter P. went back to journalism at the St. Petersburg Times. He became its city editor, left here to edit and manage the Manatee River Journal in Bradenton. Then it was back to St. Petersburg in 1919 to ride the real estate roller coaster again with his father.
By 1930, down and out in real estate again, Walter P. went into the bond business, then started the Fuller's Florida Letter in 1933. Through this, he was for 12 years the authority on public finance, business and economic conditions.
In 1936, the junior Fuller ran for the state Legislature, and stayed two terms. He was defeated in his bid for the Senate in 1940. He was appointed chief clerk of the House of Representatives in 1943, coming back following this to be a feature, political and editorial writer for the Times.
But once more he heard the siren call of real estate, and Fuller left the Times. In the late 1950s, he amassed yet another fortune, estimated at $1.1-million. He lost it in the land collapse at the end of the decade. But this time he stayed in the business, writing on the side. He published two Florida histories, lectured at local colleges and engaged in horticulture. He retired from real estate in 1971, died two years later at the age of 79.
Information for this story came from St. Petersburg and the Florida Dream, by Ray Arsenault; The Story of St. Petersburg, by Karl Grismer; The History of Pinellas County, Florida by W.L. Straub, and Times files.

The Auction
Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary: You attend one of Tony Stark’s infamous fundraisers and meet a mysterious Avenger
Warnings: Swearing, SMUT (unprotected sex, female receiving oral)
A/N: this is my submission for @ugh-supersoldiers‘ 5k writing challenge! i’m still pretty new at writing smut, so feedback is greatly appreciated!
Tumblr media
Fuck parties. You’ve hated parties since highschool. You’ve always been more into intimate get togethers, or just alone time. That’s probably how you climbed your way to riches, now being the CEO and founder of a multi-million dollar technology startup you began senior year. You were too busy creating the next best selling product online to attend parties, but now that you’re somebody in America’s capitalistic society, you need to give yourself a good image to keep your business afloat.
That’s why you’re sucking it up and attending Tony Stark’s fundraiser tonight.
Honestly? You’ve never been the biggest fan of the billionaire, but he was a fun guy nevertheless, and his parties weren’t unbearable, so you decided to stick it out for a few hours, bid at the auction to save the pandas or whatever this was for, and sneak your way onto some tech blogs to help your reputation flourish.
Of course, you have to look good, so you slip on a black chiffon mini dress from Prada. It’s sheer at the top, and drops down to your midthigh, for long gowns were never your thing. You add some red bottom pumps to match. Your stylist gives you loose curls to wear down, and a minimal eye look, but adds red lipstick for drama.
“Thanks, Kayla,” You say as you pay her for her services, “it’s rare I ever go to these things.”
Arriving at the event at the Avengers Compound, you instantly swerve through the crowd, making it to the balcony as soon as possible. You’ve never been a drinker, and the bar and dance floor were always too crowded, so you decide to reside outside until the charity auction begins. Leaning over the ledge, you overhear the infamous Mr. Stark. Looking to your left, you see him persuading another brooding character that looks like they have the same thought process as you.
“C’mon, Barnes! It’s one night, and maybe you can find a special someone!” Stark entices.
“No thanks, it’s one thing to convince me to participate in this stupid auction, so don’t keep pushing it.” The man replies, eventually the light catches on his left hand, the metal revealing that it’s none other than The Winter Soldier.
“Whatever, if you want Sam and Steve, they’ll be at the bar.” Tony begins to walk away before you catch his eye, you try to avert your eyes, but he’s too quick, “Y/N! So glad you could make it!” He strides over to you, so you force a smile and turn to lean your back against the glass wall protecting you from the edge of the flooring.
“Pleasure to see you tonight, Stark, why are you out here?”
“Just trying to get grandpa over there to cheer up, but I should be asking you the same question, Y/L/N, there’s a whole bar and dance floor in there!”
“Never been a drinker, so I’m just waiting for the auction, so we can save some pandas.”
“Turtles, actually, but may I interest you in my pal, Mr. Barnes over there? You both seem like the loner type, and I wouldn’t dream of leaving either of you alone on a night like this!”
You begin to protest, but he already has you by the wrist, dragging you across the balcony to Bucky, you stumbling over your too-tall heels until you’re face to face with the Soldier. He’s wearing a black suit with a black dress shirt and no tie. Your eyes meet his crystal blue ones, his hair that reaches his shoulders is slicked back perfectly,  he has a bit of a stubble on his strong jawline, and right now you’re realizing how gorgeous this deadly man truly is.
“Bucky, I’d like you to meet a very special friend of mine, this is Y/N Y/L/N, founder of Y/L/N Corp.” Tony introduces.
“Oh yea, your company is like Starks, except better!” The brunet chuckles. You notice that his eyes crinkle a little bit, making your heart flutter, “Nice to meet you, doll.” He seems a lot happier than he was earlier when conversing with Tony alone, but who could blame him.
“Pleasure to meet you too, Mr. Barnes.” You finally manage to get out.
“Wow, you just met, and are already in better moods. Thanks to me! Keep staring in each other’s eyes, I’ll see you at the auction.” Tony says before returning back inside.
“So what brings you to the balcony?” Bucky asks.
“Never been a huge party person, just here for the charity shit.”
“Me too pretty much. My friends are inside, probably at the bar, but alcohol has no effect on me, so there’s no point in wasting the booze.”
“Oh, you’re bidding?”
“No, I’m part of the auction. Stark convinced all of the Avengers to be part of the prizes to bid on. Sam’s doing flying lessons, Natasha’s doing a yoga session, I think Wanda’s doing a cooking class, and so on.”
“What are you doing? I might just have to bid…” He laughs, and once again you’re paying attention to the crinkles near his eyes when he smiles.
“A date, sadly. I wanted to do a training session or gun range lessons, but Steve already called the training and Tony said that guns are too controversial,” He sighs, “plus apparently I need to put myself out there more. Believe it or not, I used to have game… in the forties.”
“I’ll bid on you, so you won’t have to deal with some rich cuck’s wife drooling over you for two hours.” You reassure him.
“Hey, if you win, I wouldn’t complain about going on a date with you.”
“Really?”
“Of course, darling, in fact, you don’t even have to-”
Before he could finish his statement, you hear someone call for him,
“Buck! We gotta go backstage, the auction is about to start!” You turn and see Steve Rogers poking his head out the glass double doors.
“Well, see you after the bidding, doll.” He winks and walks off with Captain America.
Maybe this party isn’t so bad afterall.
Not long after Bucky leaves, Tony on a mic calls all to the auction room. A sea of chair being filled by America’s richest lay before a small stage holding Tony Stark with his microphone. You pick up a paddle by the door and choose a seat somewhere in the middle of the crowd.
First up to bid on are small gadgets and technology Stark invented, you don’t bid on any because you could make something better in a heartbeat. After they’re all gone, Tony speaks,
“Tonight, we have a special collection of auction prizes. A plethora of classes and experiences with none other than Earth’s mightiest heroes… The Avengers!”
The crowd erupts in applause and excitement of the news. You shift in your seat, nervous for the bidding on Bucky to begin.
First is archery lessons with Clint, then yoga with Natasha, cooking with Wanda, then finally Tony leads out Bucky,
“Now ladies and, well, ladies, your chance at a date with the Avenger’s most eligible bachelor; Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes!” He earns himself an elbow from Bucky at that comment, “Okay! Let’s start the bidding at $500!”
You sit and wait for the early bids, knowing you can easily outdo any of them. Once the bidding reaches $3,000, you lift your paddle.
“$3,500 for Ms. Y/L/N over there, can we get $3,750?” Another paddle raises, and another bringing it to $4,000.
“$5,000!” You shout and raise your paddle.
“$5,000 from Ms. Y/L/N!”
“$7,000!” All heads turn to the other side of the room, where a girl with dirty blonde hair in a bun is raising her paddle. Her name is Sarah Palmer, and if there’s anyone you fucking hate, it’s Sarah Palmer. She hasn’t done as much as lift her finger her entire life, for all her money comes from her daddy. Your eyes meet Bucky’s panicked ones as he silently pleads for you to outbid that spoiled brat.
“$7,500!” You call out.
“$10,000!” Sarah calls back, you meet her glare from across the room.
“This bitch wants to play dirty…” You mutter, “$15,000!” You rarely spend unnecessary money, but this wasn’t just for you, it was to save Bucky… and also the turtles.
“$20,000!” She calls out after you. You gulp and almost accept defeat, until you remember you’re a goddamn millionaire, so what’s a few thousand to help out a new friend?
“$30,000!”
“$30,000 from Ms. Y/L/N! Going once… going twice… going-”
“$35,000!” Sarah screeches, she must have had to ask daddy if that was too much.
“For fucks sake, $40,000!” You yell, hoping that pushes her out of the running. You look over to her asking her father if she can go any higher, but he shakes his head no. Meaning you won.
“Alright!” Tony says, “$40,000 going once, twice, sold!” He bangs his gavel on his podium, “A date with the handsome Mr. Barnes is all yours, Miss Y/L/N.” Sighing, you sit back down in your seat, meeting eyes with Bucky as he gives you a grateful smile.
After the rest of the auction closes out, you go backstage to set up your date with the operations assistants. You see Bucky come up to you in the corner of your eye,
“You’re quite the firecracker aren’t you. I knew you were rich, but not $40,000 on a date with my old ass self rich!” He leans an arm on the wall and smiles.
“It wasn’t just for the date, it was for the turtles! And to save you from two hours with the demon spawn of Mr. Palmer.”
“Is she that bad?”
“She’s one of the rudest, most spoiled people I’ve ever met. She’s probably crying in the bathroom right now because daddy’s money wasn’t enough to win a night with you.”
“Speaking of a night with me, when do I get the pleasure of treating you like a queen?”
“Well, Barnes, the official date is next Saturday, but you can treat me anyway you want any night you’d like.” You wink.
He smiles and bites his lips, “Then why are we still here? My room is two floors up.”
“Lead the way, Sargeant.” Saying that earns a devilish growl from him as he grabs your wrist and drags you out of the backstage area. The trip to the elevator consists of weaving through the crowded dance floor of the main room, and one the way, you catch the puffy eyes of one Sarah Palmer, who glares daggers at you. You throw her a wink before Bucky tugs you into the elevator.
As soon as the doors close, his lips are on yours, soft and plump, he kisses you so hard that you’re taken aback for a moment, but soon return the gesture. His hands grab your hips ferociously and pull you in. Luckily with your heels, you reach him just fine. Only pulling apart once the elevator dings and he grabs you by the wrist once more and pulls you down the hall into his room.
“FRIDAY, lock the door.” He says, then he throws you on the bed like a ragdoll. You kick off your heels and watch Bucky stalk towards you on the bed, lips slightly red from your lipstick. He pulls his jacket and shoes off when he reaches you, and then he pulls your dress over your head, revealing your matching black lacy bra and underwear, “Oh, doll,” he purrs, “You look marvelous.”
You blush a little as he reaches around you a unclasp your bra with the utmost ease, “Wow, Mr. Barnes, and you said you had no game.”
“I might be a little rusty, so bear with me.” He chuckles as he begins to unbutton his shirt, pulling it off you can’t help but gasp as he reveals his god-like build. Golden abs, an impeccable chest leading to brutal scarring connecting his mortality to his black and gold vibranium arm.
“Is… this okay?” He pauses as he catches you staring.
“O-of course! You’re just so gorgeous I wasn’t ready for it.”
At that he smirks and begins to undo his belt and pants, revealing an incredible bulge straining against light gray boxer briefs. Bucky then pushes you against the comforter and attacks your exposed breasts. His hot tongue on your right while his cool metal arm caresses your left. He swirls around your nipple before switching to the other side, every small movement coaxing a moan out of you.
“God, doll, your tits are so fucking perfect,” he says as he nuzzles in your cleavage and plants kisses on the soft skin, his long hair tickling you. He begins to press kisses down your stomach towards where you’re wanting him most. You sit up on your elbows and watch as he bites the top of your panties and pulls them down and kneels on the floor, his eyes not leaving yours. You swear that it’s the hottest thing you’ve ever seen.
Bucky’s mouth comes back up and instantly latches onto your clit, and you scream in pleasure as he flicks his tongue over your sensitive nub. It trails down toward your hole and he begins to fuck you with his talented tongue. Your thighs are trembling and squeeze around his head, his eyes look back up at you and you feel him smirk against your core. His hands go up to hook them under your thighs and pull them apart so he can fuck you deeper with him tongue.
“Oh- oh my God, Bucky!” You whine. Electricity pulses through you as you climb to your first orgasm, legs shaking even harder around his head. At once, everything rushes out when you hit your high, but the soldier helps you ride it out, licking bold stripes up and down your core, cleaning up your juices.
“The sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted.” Bucky says as he stands up to tower over you, his scruff slick with your arousal.
Pulling down his own boxers, he uncages his impressive cock, which has you watering at the mouth, “Like what you see, darling?” He smirks at your slack jaw.
“Oh my god, Bucky, fuck me, please.”
He basically pounces on you, enclosing you between his arms, voice low and gravelly, he purrs, “Beg for me, princess.” Your lips barely brush against each other.
“Bucky, baby, please, I can’t take it! Please fuck me with your fat cock!” You choke out.
“Your wish is my command.” He says as he slowly slides into you, stretching you out so well.
“Holy hell, Barnes.” You moan as his pelvis reaches you, his tip almost hitting your womb. He gives you a moment to adjust to him, but soon enough you're begging for him to move, “Move, please.”
Smirking he slowly begins to slide in and out, the pace painfully slow. You know he’s teasing you from the devilish look on his face, and you’re having none of it, so you begin to grind against him.
“No, no, no, doll.” He growls, “I’m in charge here.” He places his metal hand on your hip to still you.
“Then please move faster!” You plead.
“Well, since you asked so nicely.”
At that, he begins to relentlessly pound into you, shaking you to your core. Grunts and whines come out of both of you with every thrust that makes a harmony that’s music to Bucky’s ears. Keeping eye contact with you the whole time, you fall limp in his gaze and become mush in his hold.
The electricity begins to run through you once more and you feel the knot build in you again as you reach your climax.
“Bucky, baby, I’m so c-close!” You can barely make out.
“Come for me doll. Should I pull out?”
“N-no! I’m on the pill. Want you to fill me up, Barnes.”
“On the count of three, baby, come with me.”
You squeeze your eyes shut as you prepare for your orgasm.
“One”
He strikes into you mercilessly, pulling everything you have out of you.
“Two”
It’s felt like years, as you open your eyes and meet his gaze once more. His pupils are blown as he studies your blissed out face.
“One.”
Everything within you releases, and same with him. His white hot seed erupts within you. It feels like pure magic.
“Oh my god.” You breathe out. He collapses next to you, panting.
“Doll, you’re fucking incredible. You are a firecracker.”
“So worth $40k.” You laugh.
“Oh, Y/N, that wasn’t even the date.” He chuckles, “Just wait until Saturday, when you see what blowing $40,000 on James Barnes gets you.”
“All for the turtles.”
