#Power Rangers vs Street Fighter

I said I was gonna update my ranking of the multiple Baxter Stockmans throughout the multiverse and I decided I'm finally doing that.

It's been a long time coming in all actuality really both because of new versions popping up & also because overtime my feelings on Baxter as a whole has changed a lot over the past 2 years revisiting him. So much to the point where the previous rank list itself is heavily outdated. And I honestly want to correct that not to mention dive into it a bit more than I did last time. So with that I'm officially gonna be starting my new Baxter Stockman ranking. BUuuuuut there is a twist this time.

I won't be doing every single version in just one post like I did last time. Instead this time I'm gonna break them up into different categories, those being the way Baxter was shown. Comics, games, animation, and live action. To the disappointment of a lot of people, because I KNOW most of y'all don't read them, I'm starting off with the comics since that's where it all began honestly. On a piece of stock paper in the early 1980s & that's where it's been continuing since. So we're starting from there.

Mirage

The Stockman that started it all 40 years ago. With his seemingly innocent gift for humanity only to reveal his true fucked up & evil nature practically making himself a millionaire in weeks robbing banks with the said gifts & when he's confronted about it & asked the justifiable question as to why, all he had to say for himself was "cus it's fun". The man was evil just for the laughs of it. And if we recall him stealing the nano tech from the Utroms years ago, he always was. Granted we never know why or what even led him to be like this & I remember my younger self being a little irked by this. But my current adult self however, I can't help but actually LIKE that we don't know that much about him. Sometimes in media less is better & Baxter in this case is a good example of that. I mean sometimes villains especially the most famous ones don't really need a reason to do what they did or we don't have to know why either. Ironically enough another example of this would be the 2003 Shredder. Sure we get A backstory about him but we never got the reason as to WHY he was such an evil little shit & it worked. And I really don't see why Baxter shouldn't get this same pass. Still maybe even a tiny glimpse of his past would have been interesting but I digress. Especially when his acts outweigh them heavily. I mean in his first issue he made a terrorist ransom & then proceeded to demolish an entire building (& also unintentionally predict a certain day in September 2001..). And granted it took a few years but he managed to outdo himself with his revenge arc. Escaping prison somehow & then breaking into DARPA to willingly turn himself into the cold heartless monster he really is. Leaving 24 bodies in his wake. The first & sadly only version of Baxter with a high body count or a body count at all & I desperately need more of it. Even when it looked like he lost he still had tricks up his sleeve like poisoning April with the aforementioned nanobots those years ago if he wasn't successful in killing her in his new body. The lengths this man was willing to go for his schemes. Not even stopping with just the turtles if we count the Stranger Things crossover as canon, which I do for 2 reasons. First being the time period, 1985 which is just a year after the events for the first few mirage comics even mentioning an event or 2. Plus all the turtles & Baxter look like their mirage selves I can buy it honestly. Another reason is we get to see Baxter in action again & as the big villain. No Shredder or Krang to share the spotlight with it's all him & it's what I want since we were honestly robbed of more stories with him in the original series, this along with other examples in the mirage continuity being perfect reasons why he's a perfect main villain for a story especially when properly written. It's because of these I've grown more appreciative of mirage Baxter & the impact he made even if it's a small one he still made an impact on Baxters everywhere 2003 & IDW being prime examples of this. For that I give this first iteration a good 9/10. A great & intimidating villain & character but if only we saw more of him.

Archie comics

I admit I don't really have that much to say about Baxter in the Archie comics & that mainly is because of the fact that he's literally a bar for bar copy of his 1987 counterpart only difference being he's spared from becoming a mutant fly. Originally that's all the Archie comics were. Just written down copies of the first few 87 episodes. It wasn't until the 8th issue I think that they finally got a reboot & became its own separate thing & making original stories & characters. However Baxter himself didn't survive this reboot. Not that he's dead, apparently the turtles arrested him right after the events of "shrinking turtles" & we never see or hear of him again after that. Why they didn't use Baxter in the reboot stories I genuinely have no idea. But I mean. At least we can assume he got rehabilitated & lived a happy normal life again since neither the Foot or Turtles bothered him anymore. Again, aside from being a copy of 87, he doesn't have anything to work with, so his rating is gonna be the same as last time a solid 8/10

Cereal box comics

This guy however is not as lucky as his Archie counterpart. Already being a mutant fly we don't know anything about him, granted we could assume it's the same background as 87 since that's what every TMNT writer did around this time period before 2003, the cereal comics themselves were relatively short only lasting 3 issues, Baxter only being in the first 2, kidnapping Casey Jones & bringing him Shredder to turn him into an octopus (Because why not) & then he just dipped. Not like there was really much he could do or wanted to do & I feel the same way so he's just ok to me. A decent 5/10

Teenage mutant Hero Turtles

I've only recently learned of this guy and the newspaper comics from the early 90s in general, & like other Baxters around this time period his appearances were relatively short only popping up twice & the second time was him nearly getting his ass beat by April like the bad bitch that she is. So like others at this point I don't really have much to say about this one since we don't see or know much about him except that apparently according to Michaelangelo he eventually becomes a fly too & the two times we saw him was before that happened. This'll just be another 5/10 then

IDW publishing

Bro... Where do I even begin with this man? I guess for starters. I absolutely love him. When I was still first getting into TMNT especially looking up the different Baxters I think the 3rd or 4th thing I was introduced to was the IDW comics and from the images I saw on Google at the time I was intrigued. This Baxter was different from the other 3 I've seen so far (the 3 cartoons). "Not wearing glasses?" Well. Ok yeah that too but there was something else about him that just stood out from those 3. Every picture I had seen of him so far he looked MENACING. Like he was always up to some shit or worse. And then I saw the flyborgs which was also insane yet cool making me curious/worried as to how his fate is going to work out in terms of mutating or losing his body, especially with some fans that read the comics claiming he was "Krang's bitch" but that never happened. Nor was it ever the case. When I finally started to read the IDW continuity in either my sophomore or junior year of highschool I was instantly hooked. I was loving the story, the characters, the changes, & a whole bunch more I wish I read em sooner, but that's not why we're here, we're here to discuss Baxter & let me know say: he continued to blow me away. When I finally got to see him in action for myself I fell in love with him. My intuition from when I was 12 was right all along he IS different from the other Baxters I saw previously. For starters for that one person who said he was Krang's bitch uhh that was

I mean yeah sure, he did work for him in the beginning couple of issues & he did need to play it safe around Krang considering he needed more information about Krang & his army & he y'know. Had to stay alive? But he was anything but sniveling or abused by him. It was NOT a "slave relationship" like he usually is with Shredder, & any time it looked like it was, Baxter was faking it because he's just a level 10 manipulator like that. At the end of the day Baxter got the last laugh as it was his betrayal & attempt to take over the technodrome that led to Krang losing everything & Baxter's freedom. He is anything but anyone's bitch. Not Krang's, Not Shredder's (I've already posted that panel of him putting him in his place multiple times), not Angel, Not old Hob's. This man doesn't take shit from ANYBODY & his human ass will let you know that in more than 2 ways. Keyword on human as the IDW continuity thankfully never fed into the 87 bullshit & mutated him nor did he become a cyborg, tho he did get a mech suit to defend his building in the "TMNT UNIVERSE" arc. The writers themselves confirming they had zero intention or interest doing so & saying he's staying human. Which was such a relief to me, as I mentioned here I genuinely believe Baxter doesn't have to be a mutant or a robot to be considered a threat or a good character especially this version of him. Hell in this universe he's basically Lex Luthor & I feel like that should be the default writing direction for him. Hell Lex is a human & he's still considered one of the greatest threats in DC, & there's plenty of more examples like him. I also remember I was skeptical about Baxter becoming mayor mostly out of fear of him biting more than he can chew as I still have PTSD of his luck inevitably running out in the TMNT mythos but once again I was happily proven wrong. He's still in office, he still has some tricks up his sleeve, he has his own Mercy Graves now, & the public still views him as a hero & such. In hindsight it really was a smart move for him. IDW Baxter is an amazingly fresh breath of fresh air in terms of the Stockmanverse as he's broken the cycle of the numerous mischaracterizations of the character along with breaking the misery cycle too cus it's so nice to finally have a Baxter Stockman that's thriving & not having you wish someone would put him out of his misery. He's the second version to do his mirage counterpart true justice, even SURPASSED him in my opinion & I just find a new reason to love him every single day, making him my second favorite version of the character. It's a shame he's underrated but at the same time it also makes him more special & personal to me. 10/10 without a damn doubt.

Batman vs TMNT II

So this guy exists. That's alI can really say about him tbh. Nothing about him seriously stood out except that he was apparently "a disgraced scientist". Does this mean he was famous in this continuity like Mirage & his true nature was exposed to the public too? Idk, it's never touched upon nor is anything else regarding him. He's just there to help Bane & yeah that's it. I've said this in the past & I don't mind repeating myself here. They literally could have just made up a random scientist & put them in his place instead. That's how little he mattered here. Actually when you do consider that fact, you could have just erased him from the story entirely & literally nothing would change, I would have actually preferred he'd have not been there at all & that says a lot coming from me. oh & he gets mutated for literally zero fucking reason so there's that too. 2/10

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/TMNT

Another crossover, another Stockman. I thought this version was also pretty ok. When I talked about him during my 40 years of Baxter I did mention that his role is pretty small there too, yet oddly enough I'm ok with this one. Unlike DC, they make it clear they need Baxter's talents specifically & he does deliver. Not to mention this version has some snark and bark to him. I mean hell, the first time we meet bro he's attempting to mutilate the Green ranger & the rest of time is him occasionally snapping at some other characters. We don't see him again after issue 3 of the second one & I think it's for the best tbh. Would I have liked to have seen more? Sure, but it's probably for the best anyway. Writers knew what they wanted & when they were done with him & I can prefer dismissing him over having him be a nostalgia prop. 6/10

The Last Ronin

Aura at its best. So as we all know & learned, everybody in the Roninverse is on demon timing & Baxter is thankfully no exception to this. In this continuity he's just as cold & heartless as his Mirage counterpart & as a really huge obsession with the fugitoid for some reason (I mean they I eventually explained why in the sequel but still a little random) & he makes it pretty crystal fucking clear he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants & this has been going on for decades as we see above. However he realized he wasn't gonna get what he wanted so his decision was a rather simple & reasonably understandable one. And that was to simply blow the entire fucking place up taking as much bodies as he could with him. Leonardo & Casey Jones' included.

So uhh yuh. This nigga's crazy. But hey. A Baxter that's a menace is always welcomed with opened arms in my book. And it's nice to FINALLY have another Baxter with a bodycount after 28 years. Yeah all the way to mirage, despite what you might think IDW never killed anyone. He's attempted but never succeeded. But Roninverse Baxter did. And it being the leader in blue himself too. It's honestly really cool. What's also cool is his designs. From his young self resembling mirage which, is VERY Fitting in my opinion, to his off putting old man self & finally his Freddy Krueger meets the Terminator look. Another plus actually. We finally got another Cyborg Baxter after 13 years! A fate I'm seriously confused as to why it's not explored more but I'm still gonna take the wins I get & be happy when it shows up, just wish we got to see more of it & him. Which reminds me that all good things come to an end & Honeycutt did get his lickback in his second appearance ending the tyranny... unless?👁️ No seriously with the upcoming game & movie who knows what might change. Until then this man gets a 8/10

TMNT x Street fighter

This is both yet: Another random fucking crossover & 2. A good example of what you can do with Baxter on his own.... To an extent. While yes he's mostly partnered with M. Bison (who he's constantly going back & forth with like an old married couple), Baxter was basically one of if not the main villain in this story, having an active role in ALL 5 ISSUES. Not being a prop & disappearing like DC, & not one bit sniveling either. Once again we have yet another Baxter who will bark back at you even if it bites him in the ass. He's egotistic, manipulative, quick tongued & overall funny in this whole comic & he's just about what I've been craving for in modern Stockmans. With this, The stranger things crossover & even Mutant Mayhem, 2023 & 4 really were Baxter's years to shine without being Shredder's shadow. I've never noticed until now & I'm honestly grateful we got it. Because it really shows what he's capable of doing outside the foot clan. What he's basically been doing for decades in Mirage & IDW. Hell I think it might even be the case here since it looks like he's not working with the foot clan or at least not anymore since he recognized Shredder's voice & knew what he was capable of. Maybe this takes place after his traditional betraying the foot arc which we've seen him do 3 cartoons in a row & considering how this version of him is I can honestly see him pulling that shit too. Without saying more, he was honestly a delight in this crossover & if there's ever a sequel I really hope we see him again especially if he's gonna be written the same way. He is worthy of a 8/10

And with that that concludes part one of my Baxter Stockman re-ranking. I'm aware we have a new counterpart in our mists but I want to wait until we see him again/the story concludes first before I give him a proper rating & review but I will say I do like what I see so far.

So there's apparently a tease for an upcoming IDW Sonic crossover in the letters page of issue 70 (I say "apparently" because I haven't actually read it yet. Any thoughts on what you think it's going to be and/or what you're hoping for it to be?

The popular guess seems to be Godzilla, due to the wording on the letters page ("they're a BIG threat to the Blue Blur and his friends!"), the fact that Sonic already fights kaiju so it'd be a fitting mashup, and the fact that Godzilla does comic crossovers regularly. IDW and Boom are literally doing a second Godzilla vs. Power Rangers crossover right now. And that'd definitely be fun. I'm not the most hardcore Godzilla fan, so this wouldn't blow me away or anything, but I'd be down for it.

The other popular guess seems to be TMNT, which would be an incredibly easy fit for Sonic. That's also another property that does a lot of comic crossovers, and one that IDW currently has the rights for. I'd definitely enjoy that a lot.

Honestly, there's a lot of stuff that would be fun to see in a crossover with Sonic, but I'm just stuck trying to think of things that already get a ton of crossovers to try and keep it realistic. Ghostbusters? Eh, not that great of a mashup. Street Fighter? Could be fun, but it's probably not that. Sonic vs. Predator? No way lmao. I still think a Sonic/Transformers crossover would rule, but with IDW having lost the license last year I'm not sure I'd count on that anytime soon. Really though the main crossover I always wanted was Sonic and Mega Man, and Archie already did that. Twice!

Jennika is in the TMNT vs Street Fighter crossover comic & I’m kind of really happy about it

I knew that Jennika was on the cover which I was already sort of happy about but I’m actually kind of pleasantly surprised Jennika is getting the chance to be part of the comic, I was kind of prepared for her to just kind of get maybe a cameo or a name drop but so far it looks like Jennika is properly part of the comic.

Jennika getting to appear in this little cross over with Street Fighter kind of makes me happy because it’s sort of Jennika getting the chance to be in more things than just the main IDW comic & maybe it’s a sign that if Jennika possibly gets used more in cross over comics like these maybe there’s a possible chance for her to be part of more TMNT media until maybe Jennika gets the chance to start appear in TMNT shows & movies one day.

It would be kind of nice if Jennika & also Venus got the chance to appear in more cross over comics in the future as well, if Venus got the chance to appear in the next Power Rangers cross over comic it would kind of be a nice little nod to the time the Power Rangers had a cross over with the Next Mutation show

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Stranger Things (2023?)

One of the biggest properties from the 1980s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will officially crossover with the juggernaut that is Stranger Things, making an ouroboros of 40-year-old culture not seen in some time. IDW Publishing confirmed the news online, revealing the cover art and confirming more news is on the way. "The comic book crossover event of the summer is coming," IDW tweeted. "Stay tuned for more details! @DarkHorseComics." It would appear that writer Cameron Chittock and artist Fero Pe are attached to the series, their surnames listed on the full cover that was shown by IDW Publishing. This remains to be confirmed however.

In recent years the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have crossed over with a slew of popular franchises. Three volumes of TMNT/Batman have been published while the second volume of a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers crossover is currently ongoing. Other crossovers have included TMNT/Ghostbusters, TMNT/X-Files, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Usagi Yojimbo, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter (set to be published this year). TMNT has even crossed over with itself as various versions of the turtles have met in multiversal adventures.

Fans of both Stranger Things and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles know that the two franchises have crossed already in one form, action figures. Playmates has released four two-packs featuring new versions of the Turltes paired with characters from Stranger Things, including Raphael & Jim Hopper, Michelangelo & Dustin, Donnatello & Lucas, and Leonardo & Eleven.

I honestly forgot to write a part 2 but then I randomly remembered and decided to do it. I honestly would say I would wanna take this in a more “heartstopper” type direction and keep it more PG but idk I might change my mind. I’m also sorry if there are any grammatical errors.I also changed it to dialogue format cuz it so much more easier😩.

It’s finally Saturday. It’s the day that skull gets to hang out with anyone but bulk and his other mean friends. Since that day when Billy saved him from the putties, he has slowly been starting to avoid bulk and flaking on the plans with him. And even though he has no other friends and was not even able to hang with Billy throughout the week since the only talk they got was them confirming this day's plans, he was alone. And somehow he still felt good. He spent the past few days sitting at home, listening to music and gluing studs onto his pleather jacket. He didn’t go out much but it gave him time to think to himself and feel comfortable for once. But now it’s time to finally hang with Billy at the mall.

Skull spots Billy as he is walking up to the angel grove mall. Billy is sitting on a bench reading a book. Skull decides that this is the perfect opportunity to jump-scare Billy. He slowly tiptoes up to the back of the bench and then jumps out behind him while screaming.

Skull: “RAAAHHH”

Billy: “AAAAHH”

Billy screams as he jumps up from the bench, dropping the book.

Skull: “Hahahahaha”

Billy(annoyed): “It's NOT FUNNY!”

Skull continues to laugh.

Billy soon joins in and starts laughing too.

Skull picks up the book off the ground, it seems that Billy was reading a science fiction novel about two best friends exploring alien planets together. Skull walks up to Billy.

Skull(while handing Billy the book): “You should’ve seen the look on your face HAHAHA it was so stupid and funny!”

Billy(annoyed): “WELL IF YOU SCARE SOMEONE LIKE THAT, UGLY FACES WILL BE MADE!”

Skull: “Haha you can’t deny I scared you good though.”

Billy: “Ok fine! You did!”

Skull: “You look so cute when you’re annoyed.”

Billy: “What?”

Skull realizes what he just said and decides to play it off like he didn’t say anything.

Skull says, acting as if nothing happened: “SO! THIS ARCADE YOU HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT, where is it?”

Billy pauses and then says: “It’s inside.”

They both walk into the mall. And they see a map of the mall near the fountain. They head up to the 2nd floor of the mall on an escalator. They reach and start walking.

Billy: “So, where have you been the past few days? I think I barely saw you and you only showed up yesterday to classes or at school at all.”

Skull: “Well I decided to take a break from school for a few days because I wanted to clear my head and just relax a little. That day I got attacked by putties kinda freaked me a little so I just needed rest and time off.”

Billy: “Well that’s nice. Rest is really important, especially after going through something like this.”

Skull: “oh and I also glued studs onto this jacket I’m wearing.”

Billy: “wow that’s so cool. I won’t say that I want to dress more punk but I do admire the fashion-forwardness of it.”

As they keep walking they see neon lights in the distance.

Skull: “hey I think that’s the arcade!”

Billy: “oh yes”

Skull grabs Billy’s hand and runs toward the arcade with him.

Billy: skull! Oh my god!!!

They both reach the arcade, out of breath, but ready to play games.

They both play Pac-Man and then skee ball together.

They then have a vs fight in Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. And then played some racing games together.

They walk out of the arcade laughing and having a friendly debate about which is better, Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

Skull: “I’m telling you! Mortal Kombat is so much more better and fun than Street Fighter.”

Billy: “Nope Street Fighter has better backstories for the characters and the moves are cool too. And the art style definitely has more thought out into it than Mortal Kombat.”

Skull: “Sure, but Mortal Kombat has BLOODSHED!”

Billy: “Well, Street Fighter has Ryu and Ken…

Skull: “well can rYu aNd kEn rip each other’s spines and hearts out?”

Billy sighs and admits defeat.

Billy: “Fine! You do raise a cool point.

Skull: “haha come on, I’m hungry.”

Skull grabs Billy’s hands again and starts running toward the food court. While running Billy says.

Billy: “COULD YOU STOP DOING THAT!”

Skull: “HAHA NOPE!”

They both run near the food court and as they are walking in Skull spots Bulk. Skull quickly runs out with Billy and stands in a corner.

Billy: “What happened?”

Skull: “Bulk is in there, I have been avoiding him for the past few days and if he spots me here with you he might just kill me!”

Skull starts hyperventilating. Billy tries to calm him down.

Billy: “Hey hey, it’s ok. We don’t have to see him. There is an ice cream place down the street maybe we can go there?”

Skull slowly starts to slow down, and starts breathing normally again.

Skull: “yea we can do that”

Billy nods in reassurance.

They both head out of the mall and go to an ice cream place.

Billy gets a double scoop with blueberry and strawberry.

Skull also gets a double scoop but with Oreo and butter scotch.

They both go to the nearest park and walk around talking to each other.

Billy: “So you haven’t met Bulk the past few days?”

Skull: “yea, I have been trying my best to avoid him. There were times when he would spot me and I would act like I didn’t hear him and just walk away. And the times he did get a hold of me, I would just make an excuse and leave.”

Billy: “so you’re just going to ghost him out of your friendship?”

Skull: “I guess so. Bulk is the kinda guy that thinks with his fists. So even if I do tell him how I feel, he won’t care and probably beat me up.”

Billy: “Wow, seems like bulk is a really shitty person.”

Skull: “What did you say?”

Billy: “what?”

Skull chuckles for a moment and then starts laughing.

Billy: “WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?”

Skull: “HAHAHAHA, I have just never heard you swear before HAHA!”

Skull continues to laugh.

Billy(while pushing skull in a friendly way): “IT’S NOT FUNNY!”

Skull continues to laugh as they walk out of the park.

They continue to walk and talk to each other. Talking about comic books until they reach a beach. It’s almost dark and no one is at the beach.

They walk near the shore.

Skull: “Hey today was a lot of fun. Thank you for inviting me to hang with you.”

Billy: “don’t mention it. I had a lot of fun too and I’m glad you were here with me.”

Skull: “you know this is the happiest I have felt in a long time. It feels like shit when you’re just this mean person and have friends like bulk who aren’t all that nice to you either. And since I’m a bully no one really talks to me. But you at least tolerated me HAHA! And I’m glad to get to know you a little.”

Billy: “I’m glad you feel that way. And I’m also glad to get to know you a little. Makes me see you as a better person.”

Skull: “wait.”

Skull grabs Billy’s arm. He looks into his eyes and then puts his hand on Billy’s cheek. Skull closes his eyes and softly kisses Billy. Skull pulls away gently with a little bit of fear in his eyes, wondering if he made a mistake. Billy then puts his hand on Skull's cheek and pulls him into a tender kiss. Skull's fears go away. A wave rushes onto their feet but they don’t care as they kiss each other. Billy pulls away. They both smile and start laughing gently while blushing.

Skull: “Billy, I like you, and I know that we only talked for like 2 days but since that day you saved me from the putties, I haven’t stopped thinking about you. You made me feel something that none of my current friends could make me feel. And that was comfort. You made me feel comfortable to be around you. And you don’t have to say yes or anything-“

Billy: “I like you too.”

Skull gets an excited smile and picks up Billy off the ground and spins around. He puts Billy down and gives Billy a peck.

Billy: “How about you meet my friends? I know that saying how you feel to bulk might feel scary but maybe if you have nicer people around you will get more courage.”

Skull: “I don’t think your friends like me though.”

Billy: “I’ll convince them, plus they only know you as a mean person, they haven’t seen the more nice and more caring side of you yet.”

Skull: “Are you sure?”

Billy nods.

Skull thinks for a second.

Skull: “Ok then. But can we hang after school hours? I’m still not sure if I can be spotted with you and your friends at the moment. It’s not that I’m ashamed or something I just-“

Billy puts a finger on Skull's lips and tells him to hush

Billy: “I understand.”

Skull smiles.

They both walk home together.

Skull was blushing the whole time.

What does a Composite Ryu look like?

The Death Battle Tournament of Champions has Ryu Vs Goku as one of the choices. It lost to Sailor Moon Vs Madoka Kaname, but it was a close one. But everyone knows Goku beats Ryu, right? That is correct... If we’re talking about straight canon. But this is Composite Ryu Vs Composite Goku. So what does this give Ryu?

Straight Scaling...

As seen with Akuma Vs Shao Khan, Ryu can scale to Akuma. That means he is an Apocalyptic Level Threat who has the potential to wipe out all life on Earth. Still not as strong as Goku, but it is a start...

Non-Canon Stuff...

So in the comics, Ryu has access to a form that allows him to use both the Satsui No Hado and the Power of Nothingness. So he is twice as powerful than Akuma at his best.

Direct Crossover Scaling...

Now here’s where things get real. Ryu fought evenly with Darkstalkers like Jon Tailbain, who can fight people who fight robots who can move hundreds of millions of light years in a short amount of time. He fought evenly with Asura from Asura’s Wrath, who the Vs wiki states at his highest level is Multi-Galaxy. And he even got that Akuma Scaling to ensure he matches all the way. Not to mention King of Fighters and Tekken Scaling. And who knows what Tatsunoko’s roster of fighters bring to the table.

But the real butter comes from the Marvel Vs Series. Able to face Magneto, Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Thor, Dormammu, Mephisto (as a recolor of Blackheart) and Shuma-Gorath. A skilled player can solo the end bosses like Apocalypse, Onslaught and FRIKKIN GALACTUS! But I think the real game changer is Thanos wanting the Satsui No Hado over the INFINITY GEMS! You know, the Stones that can control Reality, Power, Time, Space and all that. Thanos had one of them in his hands, got the Satsui No Hado, and threw it away. 

The Marvel Universe is a Trillion Light Years in radius, and that’s ignoring the multiple infinite size comments. And the Infinity Gems were able to protect the universe from another universe colliding in it. So Ryu is packing a lot of power especially since the Satsui No Hado scales to the Power of Nothingness. And that’s with the Direct Crossovers...

Appearance Crossover Scaling...

Smash Brothers, Project X Zone, Family Guy and American Dad, Ryu has been in the most crossovers out of anyone in the Street Fighter universe. He can scale to Guilty Gear, the WWE (with direct links to the Undertaker), Pokemon Deities that are responsible for creating their multiverse, the Power Rangers and pretty much everyone in Fortnite... Which includes Goku. So anything Goku can scale to Ryu can via scaling to him. Granted, this also means vice versa but it shows just how close a Composite Ryu brings into this thing.

But is it enough to beat a Composite Goku? Ignoring Fortnite, maybe? It really depends on what Goku’s crossovers bring. This isn’t just Xenoverse, this would include his numerous crossovers with other anime characters via the Jump Series. But since this match didn’t win, it is not guaranteed to happen. But maybe it could happen...

The Origins of the Rivalry Between Houston and Dallas

Houston and Dallas might be close-ish, but we’re so very different.

It’s a tale as old as time.

The Montagues vs. the Capulets. Coke vs. Pepsi. Drake vs. Kendrick…

Houston vs. Dallas.

For some reason, these two Texas cities just can’t stand each other.

Somewhere between the endless ribbons of I-45, the tension is as palpable as an elephant in a one-bedroom apartment.

It’s not just a rivalry—it’s a state of mind.

Whether it’s debating which powerhouse is more livable or whose sports teams truly have grit, you’ll never find a shortage of comparisons.

But how did we even get here?

To understand the roots of this rivalry, you have to go back—way back—to when Texas was still figuring itself out.

Houston and Dallas were barely dots on the map, just two settlements trying to survive the wilds of the 1800s.

Back then, Houston hugged the bayous; muddy and unpredictable, a city built on trade and labor.

Dallas, meanwhile, grew out of cattle trails and commerce, with its early successes tied not to the waterways but to the railways.

Where Houston was shaped by the raw energy of ships and sweat, Dallas evolved with a buttoned-up, business-first mindset.

From the jump, the cities could not be any more different.

Today, these two Texan giants are still miles apart, and H-Town has since blossomed into its own unique patchwork.

“Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the nation if not the most diverse,” says Raheel Ramzanali, host of City Cast Houston.

“Our culture is a combination of different backgrounds, races, religions, and it’s created this really cool immigrant street and Southern culture you don’t get anywhere else.”

You can trace the first huge influx of people to the early twentieth century, when the oil boom transformed the Texas landscape—especially Houston, with its proximity to the newly discovered Spindletop oil field.

Suddenly, Houston wasn’t just a port town—it was the Energy Capital of the World.

Dallas, on the other hand, took a different path to power, building an empire made of banks, insurance firms, and real estate deals brokered behind mahogany desks by people in polished suits.

If Houston had oil, Dallas had elegance (at least, it likes to think so).

Of course, sports only fanned the flames.

Football, particularly. In 1960, the Dallas Cowboys were born, quickly becoming a national symbol of football excellence and winning their first championship in just six years.

Houston’s first major professional football team, the Oilers, emerged in the American Football League (AFL) at the same time, and found early success winning championships in 1960 and 1961.

But as the AFL merged with the National Football League (NFL) and the Cowboys’ star power soared in the 1970s, the dynamic shifted.

Dallas became synonymous with Super Bowl victories and national fame, while Houston’s Oilers, despite moments of glory during the Luv Ya Blue era, often fell just short.

The 1980s oil bust hit both metros, but the impact looked different.

While Houston, deeply tied to energy, saw its economy crater, Dallas’s real estate and banking industries imploded as over-leveraged financial institutions collapsed.

Each city watched the other closely, measuring rebounds and scars like two fighters trading blows.

But the rivalry isn’t just about economics and sports.

It’s about moments—like the 2017 clash during Hurricane Harvey that made the rivalry feel even more bitter.

When Houston was devastated by catastrophic flooding, the Astros were scheduled to play the Texas Rangers.

Due to the crisis, Houston asked for a simple schedule swap: play the series in Dallas instead, so Houston could avoid unnecessary travel during the disaster.

The Rangers refused.

“They made the Astros travel all the way to Tampa Bay to play that series while these players’ families were impacted [by] the hurricane,” Ramzanali says. “We’re never gonna live that down.”

The refusal wasn’t just a logistical inconvenience; it felt personal.

In a moment when Houston was quite literally drowning, the Rangers’ unwillingness to accommodate struck a nerve.

Beyond baseball fields and floodwaters, both cities present themselves to the world distinctly.

Dallas prides itself on bougie refinement, while Houston is more undone—messy, sprawling, diverse, and unapologetically itself.

“Every time I go to Dallas it’s the same old stuff,” Ramzanali says.

“Cool, you’ve got a bunch of chain restaurants there, and there are some standout places, but for the most part, it’s just…bland. Vanilla ice cream.”

Now, we might be biased (I mean, “Houston” is literally in our name), but H-Town feels more like a layered dish with heat and depth.

Our food scene mirrors our people—a mix of Mexican, Vietnamese, Nigerian, Indian, and Southern flavors blending into something greater than the sum of its parts.

Also, we have Beyoncé and Simone Biles, so is there really a comparison?

While culture often sparks comparisons, sports are what keeps the rivalry burning hot.

For Cowboys fans, history is everything—the five Super Bowl rings, the dynasties of the ’70s and ’90s, and the franchise’s national brand as “America’s Team.”

But as Ramzanali puts it, “The Cowboys haven’t won anything since Blockbuster was around. The last time they won, you’d have to rent a VHS to watch the highlights.”

​​Houston fans point to more recent success stories, like the Astros’ World Series wins in 2017 and 2022.

The Rockets’ championships in the ’90s and the Texans’ more modern presence in the NFL and other major leagues also give the city plenty to brag about, even if Dallas locals are quick to dismiss those victories as overshadowed by the Cowboys’ past.

So, will this rivalry ever cool off? Ramzanali doesn’t think so.

“This beef is never, ever going to die down,” he says.

“The only way it would end is if both cities sprawl so far that they meet in Centerville and just fight for Centerville.”

The truth?

They need each other.

Iron sharpens iron, after all.

And while the rivalry might never end, deep down, both cities know—Texas wouldn’t be Texas without both of them.
