The Fire Academy uniforms for the Ninja Storm AU.
Compare to the Wind and Thunder ones these have the same leather like material used in creating them but they do things differently unlike the other schools. The colors on their uniforms like the canon uniforms reflect a student’s elemental affinity, the belt pendant represents a persons second dynamic(most students being A♦️). From the chest and shoulder is a corsage of flowers that indicate ranking( @augment-techs gave me some inspiration for this)
1st)Genin-White Fleabanes and varying flowers
2nd)Chunin-Yellow Dandelions and varying flowers
3rd)Jonin-Blue Chicories and varying flowers
4th)Sensei/Master-Red Dahlias and Lotuses
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wave, Earth and Fire each have their own pendants differentiating from the Wind and Thunder ones. Fire here has a diamond theme resembling blooming flames as a flower formation. They two have variations with the first being for regular students, second with the star outline being more for advanced students and the final which resembles more of a sun like mandala for sensei’s and special members. Some inspiration I got for these designs aside from Ninja Storm was the Fire Nation attire in Avatar along with Kai in Ninjago(I actually do have an oc who has a sort of Azula dynamic story wise here👀🔥).

“Believably Shy” Bridge Carson x Fem!Reader
(A/N: Requested by Anon. Hi again and thank you for your request for my favorite Power Ranger! Where Bridge has a shy girlfriend and the team doesn’t believe him even though he’s talked about them a ton!
Warnings: Fluff. Mild language. Use of (Y/N) and (Y/L/N).
Word Count: 1,556 words)
It was happening again, an opportunity to prove Bridge’s words were not repetitious ramblings. One of Bridge’s days off.
A day you and him cherished for time together. The rare occasions where your boyfriend was away from his Power Ranger duties.
You would think his team would believe him when he spoke about you being his partner.
Where did they think he went most of his days off?
Then again, they had never met you. In that regard, you took the blame. The other half was Bridge not admitting to the others that you weren’t ready to be introduced to them yet.
The team who were so close and important to Bridge. There was a weight of pressure at the thought. At least Sky knew of you and Bridge’s relationship. It would had been odd if he didn’t.
Yet your nerves and anxiety pushed you away from even visiting S.P.D. Headquarters.
You shook your head.
Bridge really wants to share and show a huge part of his life. You sighed deeply. I’ll do it.
In an instant, it was decided. You were going to be brave. You were going to both visit the Headquarters and meet the team. It wasn’t as if you would be doing it on your own.
You sat down next to Bridge on your couch.
“You’ll be with me the whole time? At S.P.D.?” You questioned tentatively. “Right? The place looks huge.”
His face brightened at your words. The realization setting in. Bridge scooted closer to you, eager and happy.
“It is huge. All cadets live there and train. I don’t think I can show you the training rooms or the lab.”
“But you’ll be with me?”
“Yes.” Bridge beamed, a grin wide enough to leave him sore later. “I can’ wait to show you around and I could show you my room. Well, it’s Sky’s room too. I have the left side.”
You exhaled slowly.
“It’ll be fun.” He wrapped an arm over your shoulders to bring you closer. “I really want you to meet my friends.”
“I know. I just….I don’t want to mess up or anything. It’s not crowded or anything…I hope.”
“We’re not going to a lecture. Then it would be crowded, but quiet. During a lecture not after.”
Leaning into Bridge’s side, you smiled, “Good.”
As long as we’re together, we’re fine.
. . .
Later in the day, once you were fully prepared, you followed Bridge into Space Patrol Delta Headquarters. All of the large windows, sleek metal, and many hallways greeted your senses. It was enormous.
“No wonder you always get your steps in,” you commented.
Bridge squeezed your hand that held one of his gloved ones. A smile still lingering on his lips from earlier.
Turning another corner led you closer to the residential areas. More shades of blue mingling with the grays. A serious atmosphere nonetheless.
“Cadet Carson.” A gruff voice cut through the quiet of the hall.
Bridge turned to a stop, facing a tall blue canine humanoid in an impressively pressed uniform.
“Commander,” Bridge stood at attention. A gloved hand firmly clasping your suddenly clammy one.
“At ease.”
Keeping your gaze low, you felt a wave of uneasiness erupt from within you.
Are visitors not allowed right now? I don’t want Bridge in trouble. He’s so good. You swallowed. What do I do?
“Cadet Carson, is this your friend who you have been talking about?”
“Yes, Commander.” Bridge looked to you happily. “This is my girlfriend (Y/N) (Y/L/N). And (Y/N), this is Commander Cruger.”
With hands that were seconds from shaking, you glanced up and waved meekly.
“Hello, sir.”
“Hello (Y/N). Welcome to the S.P.D. Headquarters. I am certain that Cadet Carson had been giving you a well-informed tour.”
“Yes, sir.” You nodded.
“Well,” Commander Cruger glanced down at yours and Bridge’s intertwined hands, “I’ll let you continue.” He nodded. “Cadet.” Then went on his way.
In moments, you found yourself able to breathe steadier. You wiped your free hand on your clothes.
“Are you alright?”
You looked to Bridge seriously and stated, “He was intimidating.”
“I guess he can be.” He tilted his head in thought. “He seemed to like you.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.” A voice answered behind you. “He didn’t growl.”
Growl? You peered over your shoulder. Oh crap. Them. Separate colors caught your attention. Breathe. Crap. They’re all looking.
“Hi.” Bridge greeted the small group approaching the two of you.
“Are you going to introduce us to your friend?” A young woman with dark hair asked with a smirk.
Yellow…wait… Elizabeth? No…uh.
Out of the four of them, a calm young man stepped forward. Politely, he introduced himself, “Hi, I’m Sky. It’s nice to finally meet you, (Y/N).”
“That’s (Y/N)?” A young woman wearing pink exclaimed.
“Hi.” You waved and earned a grin from your boyfriend.
“Hey, I’m Jack and you’re real?”
“Hi, uh…pretty sure.”
“Well with all the times Bridge has talked about you, we thought you were only a story.”
“Not all of us,” Sky crossed his arms over his chest.
“But we know now.” The one in yellow said. “And we’re happy to meet you. I’m Z.”
“Sydney,” the blonde smiled.
“If it makes a difference, I’ve heard a lot about all of you. Good things.” You offered a smile.
Bridge gave your hand a light squeeze encouragingly.
Gesturing with his hands, Jack questioned, “So, let me get this straight. All of those weeks of you,” he pointed to Bridge, “describing a person and dates and random stories…was all true?”
Huh?
“Why would he make me up?” You countered. “I don’t think Bridge is physically capable of lying. At all. And…,” you glanced to your boyfriend. “Didn’t you tell them about the Hanukkah present I got you?”
He nodded quickly.
The two of you holding hands, gave equally curious gazes to the others.
Why haven’t they believed Bridge?
In a second, it was as if all of you were in a classroom. No one made eye contact. Not one made a move.
At least you weren’t feeling awkward or nervous any more. Yet you were left slightly confused.
“Okay.” Bridge exhaled and suggested, “Why don’t I show you where we hang out?”
“Sure.”
Your boyfriend led you passed his friends. The sounds of their footfalls following.
“You know,” Sydney spoke up, “I didn’t entirely disbelieve Bridge.”
Sky breathed out a laugh.
“What?”
“You thought he was playing a video game.”
Grinning, you looked over your shoulder. “You thought I was a video game character?”
“Sort of.” The pink Ranger admitted.
“That’s kinda cool.” You nudged Bridge. “Like a dating story app game.”
He clasped his other hand over yours he already held. An amused pull of his lips softened his features.
“Would you pick me if I was a character?” You inquired with a teasing smile.
The question lead to Bridge’s signature thinking face. Cute and serious. Always a temptation to press a kiss to his face no matter how scrunched up he made it.
“I would pay for the in-game extras that give extra scenes. Try to encourage the creators that your character was too underrated. You’d be my favorite.”
“Underrated favorite?”
A door slid open and the both of your walked into a lounge-like area.
“Because someone has to get to know you first to know how wonderful you are.” Bridge explained quickly. “Underrated and arguably the best character option. The story would probably be a lot of fun. Kind of like a comic, but not.”
“You’re adorable, you know that?”
Slowing your pace, you and Bridge gazed at one another warmly. Sounds and activities of cadets not interrupting the moment.
“Wow. They really are dating.” Jack stated alongside the other Power Rangers.
“And really cute.” Sydney sighed.
Walking around them, Sky added in, “They’ve been dating longer than you think.”
“How long?”
“Ask them.”
It was then that the Power Rangers realized you and Bridge were no longer in front of them.
“You’re going to question them, aren’t you?” Z asked.
“Yes.” Both Sydney and Jack nodded.
“Go easy on her,” Sky urged. “She’s shy.”
. . .
Quiet of a shared bedroom eased your muscle tension. A much needed break from so much newness.
“Do you want me to check your aura for you?”
“Nah. I’m alright.” You reached for his hands. “Thank you.”
He passed your hands, grabbed your sides, and lifted you onto his bed. With a smile, warm and loving, Bridge kissed your nose.
“Thank you for coming here with me.”
“I couldn’t tell you ‘no’ again. This is a huge part of your life.” You gestured towards the door. “They’re a huge part of your life. I really want to get to know them.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. They seem really nice.”
“They are.” He leaned onto your lap. “I hope all of you can be friends.”
“Me too.” You ran your fingers through his chestnut brown hair.
He pecked your nose with his lips again.
“But I have a question first.” You announced casually and poked his ear.
“What?”
“What’s with the toaster by your computer?”
“It has a countdown timer.”
“For perfect buttery toast?”
“Exactly.” Bridge grinned.
“You’re so cute.”
Oh, what a day with the best guy I have ever met.

Best wishes and happy reading.)

Power Rangers story idea that I feel could be interesting to see play out:
Take some of the "Evil clones" of Rangers that have existed (And I mean actual clones of the Rangers, who could morph and were not a monster in disguise) and create a situation wherein they have to become a stand-in Ranger team.
Bonus points if they have to acquire new powers/morphers as they've since become a person in their own right, with their sense of self and Identity meaning that they can't just use the Morpher of the person they're a clone of.

Hiiii can you write some headcannons for being Izzie Garcia’s (power rangers dino fury) best friend who is a ranger but really shy?
Izzie Garcia x Best Friend Headcanons (Shy Ranger Edition)
1. Izzie is the kind of friend who naturally takes the lead, which works perfectly with your shy personality. She knows how to draw you out of your shell without overwhelming you, often by cracking jokes or nudging you to join in on her confident energy.
2. You both balance each other well: her outgoing and bold nature complements your quiet and thoughtful demeanour. While she’s the “act first, think later” type, she often turns to you for advice because she trusts your insight.
3. When you’re in Ranger mode, Izzie makes it her mission to help you feel confident. During sparring sessions, she encourages you with playful trash talk, knowing it’ll bring out your competitive side and help you feel less self-conscious.
4. On missions, Izzie sticks close to you, not because she doubts your ability but because she knows teamwork keeps both of you strong. She’s fiercely protective if anyone tries to underestimate you due to your shy nature, making it clear that you’re just as capable as the rest of the team.
4. Izzie notices when you feel uncomfortable in group settings and subtly pulls you into conversations. She’ll throw out a comment like, “You’ve got to hear what [Reader] thinks about this!” to shift the spotlight to you without making it awkward.
5. Izzie loves dragging you on hikes or to sports games, even though she knows you’re not always the most outgoing. She respects your boundaries, though, and is just as happy having a chill movie night if that’s what you’re up for.
6. She’s incredibly proud of your growth as a Ranger and always brags about your skills. Whenever you doubt yourself, she’s quick to remind you how many times you’ve saved the day—and her.
7. Izzie is your number-one hype woman. Anytime someone tries to dismiss your contributions, she jumps in with, “They’ve done more for this team than you’ll ever know. Show some respect.”
8. Though she has a tough exterior, Izzie is a softie when it comes to you. She’ll randomly compliment you or check in with a “You good?” text after a hard day because she knows how much you internalize things.
9. Whether it’s a mission success or you finally stepping out of your comfort zone, Izzie celebrates every victory with the same enthusiasm. She might even organize a little party for you (even if it’s just the two of you).

So, I decided to continue with that previous Trimberly fanfic I did? And, this time it's on Kimberly's side of the story...so, yeah...ended up making it multi-chapter? Sort of? I'm not really sure how well I am doing with this, but I hope I am doing well.
Anyways, here's the second part/companion piece to Eyes Open (Trini's Version). The title of this one is Jump and Fall (Kimberly's Version)...and, yeah, pulling titles from Taylor Swift's discography because, why not? Will be postin this on AO3 and Wattpad as well. Anywho...this fic goes like this:
Kimberly Hart sat at her desk in her room, the soft vibrant hues of the cloudy afternoon sun basked her room with enough light that she didn’t need to open the lamp by her desk. She sat there for a reason, had been seated at her desk for much of the afternoon already. And, in all honesty, she should have been focusing on the opened textbooks in front of her, on the notebooks strewn haphazardly on her desk, on school assignments demanding her attention. But they ended up all fading to the background, like they were unimportant set pieces. Instead of diving into algebraic equations or historical dates, grammar and the proper use of punctuation, Kimberly found herself lost in a maze of thoughts and emotions as she tapped to a random rhythm with her pen.
It had been a whirlwind these past few months—months that felt like years. A whirlwind of emotions and events. It had been months since she made that brash and reckless action—some would call it a boneheaded move, a social suicide—that ended up destroying her reputation, getting her status as the ‘Queen Bee’ revoked and made her a pariah in school. That led her to a path she never dreamed would even be one possible to trudge on. It was so impossible and fantastical and something straight out of a comic book. It also led her to people—outcasts and misfits, like herself—that she would form a connection with. To people she would call her “family” and would call her theirs.
If she were to be honest, it felt like a lifetime ago. She felt as though the person she was then and the person she was now were from two different alternate universes. And, in the midst of all the drama, all the training and the struggles of trying to morph and the disappointment and frustration that came with failing to do so, witnessing a friend die and be revived, and almost dying herself in the process of defending their town...yeah, she would like to think that she had changed quite a bit. All the Rangers—Jason, Billy, Zack, and Trini—had.
But, in the midst of her thoughts of her journey as the Pink Ranger thus far, there was one thing that stood out to her as clear as daylight: the surprising bond she had forged with Trini Gomez, the Yellow Ranger. It was, if she was being honest, she had never thought Trini would be her closest in their friend group. After all, Trini wasn’t exactly easy to get along with. At least, not from the start.
The lonesome girl had been wary of her, and for good reasons. Still, they did end up getting along and now she considers Trini her best friend and knows the other girl thinks of her that way as well.
Suffice to say, it wasn’t the first time the Yellow Ranger wormed her way into the other girl’s thoughts.
Still, no matter how many times it has happened, it always managed to surprise her. She wasn’t doing it on purpose, so it wasn’t something she comes to expect at times or even sought after. But, regardless, it always had a way of creeping up to her. Sometimes it came slowly and insidiously. Other times it came like a freight train that comes barreling with such unstoppable speed and force. Regardless of how those thoughts invaded, they were always impossible to ignore. There was just something about Trini—her strong sense of individuality and fierce independence, rebelliousness to conforming to societal norms and social hierarchies, the confidence she seemed to carry that belied her years, and the juxtaposition she found with her hardened facade to her soft caring attitude.
She was captivated by the way Trini carried herself; captivated by the way her lips would quirk into a genuine smile—often a rare occasion to others, but one that had become somewhat of a norm recently whenever they have hung out together; captivated by the way Trini had been treating her as of late.
And yet behind that ruggedness that she showed and the lone wolf attitude she had initially portrayed, Kimberly found a multi-faceted girl that drew her in, like a moth to that proverbial flame.
When Trini was with her, Kimberly couldn't shake the feeling of solace and peace she felt. It was like a warm embrace, a fluffy blanket of comforting presence in the midst the hectic chaos that their life had become. At the same time, there was always something lingering—like a spark just about ready to ignite—whenever they interacted, making her feel something akin to an adrenaline rush. Kimberly found herself seeking out Trini's gaze, drawn to the warmth and depth of her brown eyes, deep and soulful.
As the Pink Ranger sat there in her room, she couldn’t help but wonder why she felt that way about Trini. Why did she crave Trini's approval, seek out her company, cherish each interaction they had together? Why did she feel a sense of loss whenever Trini wasn't around. Like a piece of her was, not necessarily incomplete but, missing? It wasn’t like that with the other Rangers. And, to be honest, she doesn’t remember it being the same way with anybody else. Well, there was somebody else, but that was before he cheated on her and—
—And then, like a bolt of lightning, it hit her.
This undeniable attraction she felt towards Trini was more than just admiration, more than just respect. It felt like it had morphed—pardon the pun—from something more than just friendship and a sense of camaraderie. It was now something deeper, more profound; something simple but yet oh so complicated. Something she had never felt before with another girl.
She had feelings for Trini. Feelings that went beyond platonic, more than just mere friendship.
The thought terrified her. Her mind couldn’t quite wrap itself around such an epiphany. She had never considered herself anything but straight. She had never entertained nor imagined the thought of being attracted to another girl, much more falling in love with one. But, as she sat there in her mess of a room it, strangely and jarringly, made undeniable sense to her, like puzzle pieces being put in quick succession into place.
It frightened her as much as it elated her. It made her heart skip a bit and thundered between her rib cage. Her chest constricting and breath hitching at the realization of her own desires; of acknowledging the possibility of her own queerness and sexuality and of the path her heart had suddenly decided to open up for her.
As she wrestled with these conflicting emotions, she caught glimpse of the photo she had tacked on the wall near her desk: the photo of the Power Rangers, taken as a group, during the celebratory campfire they had after Rita’s defeat. Her eyes gravitated and fixated themselves on Trini standing next to her in the photograph, grinning widely, skin glowing with the light of the campfire’s flames, and memories of her interactions with the shorter girl flooded her mind—from their first exchange and the chase that followed and every memory since.
But one memory stood out above all others: that night at the campfire.
In the midst of Zack’s suggestion to share about themselves—a proposition that irked Kimberly at that time despite what merits may be gained, what with not wanting to talk about the whole Amanda-thing and the shame that came with what she had done—in the hopes that they would trust each other more and be able to morph, Kimberly witnessed the strength and resilience beneath the tough exterior of one Trini Gomez. She saw the vulnerability and uncertainty hidden behind Trini’s bravado. After all, it takes quite a lot of courage to speak up about one’s insecurities the way the shorter girl had.
In that moment, Kimberly had felt a sense of awe and wonder at Trini, whom she initially thought was just someone with a lot of pent up rage and angst personified in such a small body. She felt something begin to form with the Yellow Ranger and with her desire to try and emulate such strength and get to know Trini further, get her to share more, to open up more.
That connection solidified itself and grew into actual friendship when Trini pulled her locker door out of its hinges after it had been vandalized and had offered her own locker for Kimberly to use. It was an act that she didn’t think she would be receiving from anyone. Certainly not something Trini would instigate without much egging. Granted, she didn’t know much about the girl at that time, but up until then Trini was pretty much aloof with her. They talked, yes, but she didn’t get a sense that the girl had any desire to be protective of her outside of their training until that moment. So, yes, that had come as a surprise. So much so that she distinctly remembered herself being at a loss for words.
And now, as Kimberly sat there in her room, her heart heavy and wrestling with longing and uncertainty, she couldn’t help but wonder what it now all meant for her. Did she really crave for something more? It did feel that way. Did she want to do something about it? More importantly, does Trini feel the same way? Does she want to risk what she had with Trini in favor of what they could have if the feeling was mutual? What would her parents say? What would everyone think? So many questions, one after the other, bubbled up to the forefront of her mind.
Any other day and those questions would have been ones she would be avoiding for weeks, pushing it to the back of her mind in favor of what little bit of normalcy was left in her life. After all, things were changing too fast, she wanted to slow down a bit. But now, there was nothing to occupy her mind with. It was simply fixated on the possibilities that lay before her...that was, if Trini did feel the same way.
And, she knew she was reckless. She knew it was, perhaps, her fatal flaw. Her recklessness was often tied to her emotional state—on what she was feeling at the moment and that energy being converted into some spontaneous action. It was that recklessness that often landed her into all sorts of messes in the past, and would no doubt continue to do so in the future. Especially when she does something without fully analyzing the consequence her actions would bring to herself or to others.
It was that sudden impulsiveness that had Kimberly reach for her phone, unlock it, and with trembling fingers type out and send a message to Trini without so much as second guessing what she was doing.
“Hey Trini, can we talk? It’s important.”
Yeah, if things went south, she could blame it on that. Or own up to it with the fact that one of the things she had learned with this whole ordeal with Rita was she shouldn’t take things for granted; that when the time to act came, she must be decisive about it, act on it. No regrets. Because you only live once, and once should be enough.
As recent as the revelation of her feelings for her best friend was, Kimberly felt it was time for her to come into terms with them, to explore them, to understand them and herself. And who better to do that with than Trini? She just hoped the other girl felt the same way.
As the three dots appeared on her messenger signifying Trini writing a message, Kimberly felt a rush of adrenaline course through her veins.
Yes, this was uncharted territory for her. She didn’t know where this would lead her. It was the same with becoming the Pink Ranger and, well, she’d like to think she handled that as well as it she could—maybe even better than she think she would, all things considered.
Yeah, positive thoughts and all that.
With that thought in mind, she leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes, only opening them when her phone notified her of Trini’s reply.
“I’ll be there in a few,” it had said.

It's Baby Time!
Many eons ago @ranger-legacy gave me the inspiration to write a Conner/Kira gender reveal party story and after a few centuries I finally got around to writing it. It's pretty clunky, so please just imagine all the plot points expressed with more eloquent words 😅
“I think this is the place,” Conner said as he drove up to the park. There was a new fancy pavilion in the middle of the grass with a whole crowd of people gathered below.
“They really cleaned up this place since we were home last,” Kira replied, placing a hand on her heavily pregnant stomach.
Conner got out of the car then went around and opened up the passenger side door. He held his hand out to help Kira up.
“This all seems like so much just for a gender reveal,” Kira said as she surveyed the scene.
“Yeah, but, I bet our li’l guy will appreciate what a big deal we made about him before he was even born,” Conner said, steadfast as ever in his belief they were having a son.
Kira rolled her eyes but smiled slightly, “Well we better get down there before we run into-”
They had barely taken a few steps when they heard “There they are!” They turned to see Cassidy Cornell power walking towards them, Devin lagging behind as he carried the camera.
With Conner recently leading the US Men’s National Soccer Team to victory at the FIFA World Cup and Kira’s debut album topping the Billboard 100 chart, Cassidy had declared the couple as the King and Queen of Reefside on her local news program, and as soon as word got out that they were expecting she had insisted on throwing them a lavish gender reveal party/baby shower. That she would have recorded for all her viewers, of course.
She air kissed both of their cheeks. “So good to see both of youuuu” she said with an air of put on sweetness. After a moment she turned backward and hissed “Devin! Start filming!”
“Oh, uh, right,” Devin replied as he lifted up the camera. “Uh, by the way, hi guys. Congratulations,” he grinned.
“Thanks Dev,” Conner said, reaching out and slapping his shoulder.
“So I’ve got everything planned to a T,” Cassidy said as the quartet began walking down the path towards the pavilion. “After 75 minutes of mingling conversation, we’ll bring out the cake. It’s a beautiful Sylvia Weinstock original with white frosting and lavender trim. When you cut into it the custard inside will be the colour corresponding to your baby’s gender.”
“Cool,” Conner said, always interested in food talk. “And will the custard colour have a matching flavour, like blueberry or blue raspberry or something? That’d be sweet.”
“Um...well, you’ll just have to wait and see,” Cassidy said glancing sideways towards Devin.
“Well well well,” a voice interrupted from behind them. “If it isn’t my partners in crime...fighting.”
“Ethan, my man!” Conner exclaimed. The two locked hands, bumped chests and briefly did a one armed man-hug. Kira went for the more conventional “arms around his torso” method.
“You really are glowing,” Ethan said to her as he held her hands, “I’m so happy for you guys.”
“Thank you,” Kira said softly.
“And thanks for hooking us up with the latest E-Box. It’s so sick!” Conner said. “My boy’s gonna love playing games on it.”
Ethan shared a knowing glance with Kira, “I’m glad you like it. I had my team make sure it was jock accessible.”
They continued making their way through the crowd, stopping to look at a giant ice sculpture of the two of them embracing.
“Oh god, that’s embarrassing,” Kira said.
“Yeah no kidding,” Conner agreed, “I’m way taller than that.”
It was then that they heard something that sent a chill down Conner’s spine.
“McKnight, you still owe me a paper on Cretaceous migration patterns.”
The couple turned around to see their old paleontology teacher, Dr. Oliver, and his wife Katherine.
“Hey teach,” Conner said walking up and shaking his hand.
“Congratulations,” Kat said as she walked up and hugged Kira. She was holding their infant son JJ on her hip. “You’re about to go on the most wonderful journey.”
“I can’t wait,” Kira said, reaching over and tickling JJ’s tummy, eliciting a giggle from the baby.
“How cool is it having a son?” Conner asked Tommy, “Maybe mine will be bros with yours.”
“Of all the journeys and quests I’ve been on, this is the most rewarding one yet,” Tommy said with a smile. He put a hand on Conner’s shoulder “I know you’re ready for it.” Conner grinned softly in response.
The party carried on, Conner and Kira had split up and were making the rounds talking with all the guests. Kira was discussing with the other ladies how exhausting baby preparation had been, whilst Conner was discussing with the men all the fun things he was planning to do with his son.
Once she had deemed the appropriate amount of time had passed Cassidy signaled for Devin to go fetch the cake.
“Hey Dr. O,” Ethan said, “Can you still do that spinning wheel kick? The other guys here don’t believe me.”
“C’mon now,” Tommy responded with a slight smirk. “None of you want to see that.”
Meanwhile Devin returned, struggling to carry the beautiful, but heavy seven-tier custard filled cake. He could barely even see where he was going.
“Sure we do!” Ethan replied. A lot of the other attendees were also Tommy’s former students. Slowly they began to chant “Kick! Kick! Kick!”
“Oh you may as well just do it,” Kat said to her husband. “They won’t stop until you do.”
“Uh, Cass?” Devin said, struggling to see past this behemoth of a cake. “Am I even going the right way?”
“Hurry up Devin!” Cassidy hissed back.
Tommy sighed, then removed his jacket. He walked over to a less crowded area, took a deep breath, then with a dramatic “Hee YAH!” he whipped around, demonstrating a nearly perfect spinning kick.
It was only nearly perfect because he had ever so slightly misjudged his spacing, and ended up kicking the ice sculpture of the lovely couple. Ice!Conner’s elbow was knocked clean off and sent skidding across the floor, directly into Devin’s path. Devin immediately slipped and instinctively tossed the cake through the air, sending it hurtling directly toward Kira.
Conner was halfway across the pavilion when he saw all this happen. There was a cake flying towards his pregnant wife and he had a split second to react. Luckily Conner could do more with a split second than most people.
He instantly tapped into his super speed power and began sprinting toward her. In this state the rest of the world looked like it was operating in slow motion. He weighed his options. There were too many people around, he couldn’t risk throwing anything or kicking the cake away. He concluded there was only one option, closed his eyes, and leapt.
The next thing Kira knew Conner was diving in front of her, cake, frosting and custard splattering all over him. After the initial shock wore off she grabbed some of the expensive napkins Cassidy had provided and began wiping bits of cake goo off his face.
“Are you okay, Babe?” Conner asked once his mouth and nostrils were clear and he could breathe again.
“Yes, my sweet and sticky hero,” Kira said with a smile as she wiped off his cheeks, “But... Conner...”
He saw the apprehensive look on her face and wondered what that was about. The rest of the crowd also looked anxious as well. His nose was also inundated with the scent of strawberries, for some reason. He looked around and figured that scent must be coming from the pink custard all over his shirt and pants (and unbeknownst to him, his eyebrows.)
And that’s when it hit him.
Pink!
A wave of new feelings awakened in Conner. After a moment he pulled himself up off the ground, all eyes on him in nervous anticipation of his reaction. He walked toward Kira and put one hand on her stomach. He looked her right in the eye and smiled warmly.
“I can’t wait to meet her.”
Kira’s eyes began to well up as she put a hand on his cheek before they shared a kiss. The crowd all let out an “Aww,” together.
“This is gonna kill it in the ratings,” Cassidy said gleefully. “Will and Kate eat your heart out.”
“Awww, look at that,” Kat said, holding up baby JJ, “Who knows, maybe you’ll be her little sweetheart.”
At that moment something else awakened in Conner. Some instinct he didn’t even know he had. Something primal, coded deep within the DNA of all girl dads.
His head shot up and he let out what could only be described as a growl.
“NO!”

Fic: Last Year's Wishes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers)
Tumblr media
Title:Last Year's Wishes Fandoms: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Characters: Jason Lee Scott, Trini Kwan Pairing: Jason Lee Scott/Trini Kwan Rating: Gen AO3 Tags: peace conference, Mid-Canon, Established Relationship, Yuletide Treat Summary: Away at the Peace Conference, Trini checks in on Jason. Notes: Written for Griddlebone as part of Yuletide! I'm a sucker for both Jason and Trini, and how a Ranger adapts to losing/giving up their abilities. Your prompt re: Rangers living a normal life inspired this.
“We should be there,” he finally said. “In Angel Grove. With the team.” “The semester’s almost over,” Trini reminded him. “We’ve talked about going home on break, remember?” “That’s not what I’m talking about.” Frustrated, Jason rose from his seat, pacing. “They’re fighting without us, Trini. They need us.” From the tone of the team’s letters, it sounded like they were figuring it out on their own, but she didn’t voice that. “Or do you need them?” Trini asked, gently.

Halo edit and a reference page on what inspired me, fun fact is that you know how the suits for the rangers have their symbols on their chest? Well for him the symbol is on his back with the butterfly armor and cocoon patterns protruding out to give a reverse effect✨👌🏾

Hi :))))) I sqw poerr rangers on your fandom lost. If you could can you write some headcannons for being Kira Ford’s younger brother and both are rangers on the dino thunder team?
1. You and Kira have an unbreakable sibling bond, and being on the team together only strengthens it. You always have each other’s backs, whether it’s on missions or just dealing with everyday teenage struggles.
- Even though you’re her younger brother, you sometimes take on a protective role, always keeping an eye out for her in battle. She does the same, never letting her guard down if you’re in danger.
2. Kira loves to tease you in her big-sister way, whether it’s about your crushes, your fashion choices, or even how you fight. But it’s all in good fun, and you both share a lot of laughs.
- She might joke that she’s the “cooler Ford sibling,” but deep down, she’s incredibly proud of you and respects your abilities as a ranger.
3. Balancing being a student and a ranger is no easy feat, but you and Kira find ways to make it work. You both have a silent agreement to cover for each other if one of you gets called out on ranger duties during school.
4. Kira’s passion for music influences you, and she’s always encouraging you to try an instrument or sing along. Even if you’re hesitant, she insists on teaching you guitar chords or making you her “test audience” for new songs.
- In return, you might drag her into your hobbies, like gaming or sports. It becomes a fun sibling exchange that helps you both unwind from ranger responsibilities.
5. As a ranger, you both have your own unique abilities, but you work exceptionally well together in battle. You have a natural rhythm, almost anticipating each other’s moves, making you a formidable duo on the field.
6. Kira is a source of encouragement, always lifting you up when you doubt yourself. If you struggle with the pressure of being a ranger or the dangers involved, she’s there to remind you that you’re a part of something bigger and that you’ve got this.
- On tough days, you return the favor by helping her talk through her own fears or doubts, giving her the strength she needs to continue.
7. When training or sparring, you both can get competitive. It’s never mean-spirited, but it’s clear you’re both pushing each other to improve. She might take it a little easy on you but always praises you when you manage to best her in a move.
8. If one of you is injured or in danger, the other would go to any lengths to protect them, even if it means risking themselves. The team sees the sibling loyalty you both have, and it serves as an inspiration for everyone.
9. You and Kira have a treasure trove of inside jokes, ranging from memories as kids to ridiculous things that happen on missions. They’re little moments that remind you both of the close bond you share.
10. Kira often shares her dreams and aspirations with you, and seeing her passion inspires you to chase your own. She encourages you to never settle for anything less than your best, and you do the same for her, pushing each other to reach new heights.

I don't know why I am suddenly addicted to these two (Trini and Kimberly from the Power Rangers Reboot Movie), but I am. And, as with everything I end up being obsessed with, I decided to write something about it.
This is just something from the top of my head. One-shot, but maybe will turn into a multi-chapter fanfic. Who knows. I'll be cross-posting it on AO3 as well (when I get home), anyways, Title of this fic is "Eyes Open (Trini's Version) and here it goes:
As the days after defeating Rita Repulsa passed in Angel Grove, Trini found herself constantly wrestling with her emotions. The peace that had settled over the city allowed her the time to truly delve into her thoughts and reflect on everything that has happened so far—from moving to Angel Grove, being caught in and surviving an explosion and later finding her Yellow Power Coin, surviving a car crash unscathed, forcefully being thrown over a cliff and down an underground pool that is hiding a spaceship and learning she was chosen to be one of the Power Rangers, training, fighting an alien menace hellbent on destruction and revenge, and everything in between. Yet, no matter from which angle she reminisced, her thoughts always seemed to circle back to one Kimberly Ann Hart. The Pink Ranger had effortlessly become a core part of Trini's life, and it both thrilled and terrified her. One afternoon, Trini sat in her room. There was no training to be had, no school-related activity to be done, no family responsibilities to take care of. It was just an afternoon all for herself with the sun casting a warm glow through the window. She held a photo of the Power Rangers, the team smiling brightly at the camera, that was taken during their celebratory campfire after defeating Rita. Her gaze lingered on Kimberly, her heart swelling with a mix of fondness and longing that shouldn't have caught her by surprise but did. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks—she was in love with her best friend. The fear that gripped Trini was suffocating. She feared ruining the delicate balance of their friendship, of losing the closeness they had developed. And, most of all, she feared Kimberly not feeling or swinging the same way; that she was just going to make a fool of herself if she confessed. The thought of rejection and loss made her stomach churn with anxiety. The "what ifs"—the consequence of being rejected, the fear of being laughed at, of what it could do to them, of being alone again—plagued her and made her feel like she was one step away from a full blown panic attack. But she knew something has got to give—was bound to give—and knew she couldn't keep this to herself for much longer. Trini knew that the weight of her unspoken feelings would only continue to grow until it consumed her entirely; that it would spring forth unbidden one time without much of her control nor foresight, like a volcanic eruption that is both catastrophic and mesmerizing to watch; a force of uncontrollable nature. It was a terrifying prospect, and not one that was new to her. After all, it was one of the reasons—many, her mother would say—as to why she had been forced to move to Angel Grove in the first place, upending her life once again. And even though she had sworn off ever feeling this way again, here she was, mind overtaken by thoughts of a girl. Her mom would definitely freak more than her coming to that realization if she finds out. But, the thing about almost dying and of thinking about a future that would force them to be heroes once again should anyone threaten the peace they had fought to achieve had Trini realizing yet another thing: that life was, simply, too short to not dare and dream and want and hope and love. Not long after that thought struck her did her phone pinged with a notification. She placed the photo she was holding down and replaced it with her phone that she took from her bedside table where she had left it to charge. Kim's name, and small profile photo, greeted her along with the message she sent. It was just a single line of text, but it was enough to make the cogs in her mind run on overtime.
"Hey Trini, can we talk? It's important," the message read.
Trini wonders if this was a sign from the universe. She wonders if it was a good sign or a bad omen. Was the universe pushing her to do it?
Taking a deep breath, she made a decision then. She would tell Kimberly how she felt, regardless of the outcome or what that "something important" Kim wanted to talk to her about was. She just hoped—prayed, really, to any god that might be listening—that it won't wreck their friendship. She doesn't want to be dramatic—she never was—but she honestly felt she wouldn't be able to take if it does. She would rather be stuck in a crazy time loop fighting Rita again and again by herself than lose the one thing in her life that made everything better. "I'll be there in a few," she texted back. That evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Trini found herself standing outside Kimberly's house, looking up at her bedroom window. She took a moment to gather her courage before landing on the flat abutment near Kim's dormer window. Another deep intake of breath and she was knocking on the pane of her best friend's window. When Kimberly opened it with a smile gracing her lips, Trini felt her resolve falter for a moment. "Hey, Trini," Kimberly greeted, her brown eyes a mixture of emotions that played too fast for the shorter girl to grasp. "I'm glad you came." Trini took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. "Well, you said it was important. And I...I also have something important I wanted to tell you. Don't think it could wait either." Kimberly's smile faded for a moment. It made Trini feel guilt at being the cause of it. She stepped aside and invited Trini over the window saying, "Well then, come in." As they settled in Kimberly's room, Trini felt the weight of her confession pressing down on her. Kim quirked another smile that was bordering on playful, "So...should you go first, or should I?"
Trini knew that if she didn't go first, she would lose all resolve she had mustered and so she willed herself to volunteer to speak first. Whether Kim was surprised by that or not, she didn't show it. Her face was a mask of smile that Trini chose to interpret as encouraging.
She took another deep breath—which did nothing to calm the loud beating of her heart and the pounding in her ears—and met Kimberly's gaze, her voice steady but filled with vulnerability.
"Kim, I...There is something I've been struggling to admit to myself for a while now." She paused, her hands trembling slightly before she balled them into a fist. "And, I know I'm not one to mince words or say too much, so I'm just going to go ahead and just say it." "Okay...?" there was a hint of confusion now on the taller girl's face despite her lingering smile. "Out with it then." "I... I think I'm in love with you."
