So last night I did a thing...

The first chapter of my Pirate AU (Currently titled Fair Winds, High Seas) is up! Huge thank you to everyone who has and is supporting me on this idea, (including but not limited to @privateerstudies , @highfunctioningflailgirl @enigma-the-mysterious , and @hj-creates)  I currently have about 10-15 chapters planned for this work, though I’m open to see where the muse takes me. 

Note: Fair Winds, High Seas is the working title for this.  I’m thinking that I actually want to title it something like Rose of the Siren after the name of Aramis’ ship in the story.  I would love to hear feedback on other potential titles.

That moment as a writer when...

... so a fellow fanfic writer is helping me to build my epic Female!Aramis Pirate!AU into an outline so I know where I'm going with the story.

You all have no idea how epic this thing is going to be. I have outlines currently for at least 12 chapters, working toward about 15-20. If you've read my stuff or know anything about me as a writer, you know most of my fanfics are much shorter.

Those of you who are patiently waiting for it. . . trust me, you are going to love the rest of Fair Winds, High Seas!

My post Camp NaNoWriMo plans

So, Camp NaNoWriMo is officially over in a few hours. I am currently sitting with a still unfinished draft of Artemis and Aphrodite. I’m probably going to let the idea sit for a bit while I work on some other projects, both in and out of the fandom.  Here, in no particular order are what those projects are. 

I’m not usually open about this on tumblr, but I do run a group on Facebook for authors who post on AO3. It’s called the Archive of Our Own Haven for Writers, Readers and Fans. You can find the page I use to admin here and the group itself here. If you want to join, please note we have 3 questions that must be answered to admit you to the group. 

Every month we do themed writing challenges open to members of the group where we give a few theme options and then challenge the writers to begin or update a work with those themes at any time during the month. May’s themes are Mother’s Day, Graduation, and Silver Linings.

I’m going to spend the month mostly working on a Musketeers story tentatively titled  either “Fair Winds, High Seas” or “Rose of the Siren”, which will fit into my “Silver Linings” theme. Like Artemis and Aphrodite it will be a PorthAnnamis triad pairing, most likely with a Female!Aramis at the helm. Yep, this one is for you, @privateerstudies & you, too, @enigma-the-mysterious!

I’ll also be participating in @privateerstudies Secret Solstice event.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to send me an ask! Also, if you have suggestions for a better title for the Pirate AU, please comment (Note: Rose of the Siren is also a nod to a slight ST: Picard reference I plan to make by naming Aramis’ ship  either La Sirena or  Rosa de la Sirena (Translations respectively: The Siren, or The Siren’s Rose [although sirena can also be translated “mermaid”] ) For those who aren’t familiar with Star Trek: Picard, La Sirena is the name of the ship piloted by Captain Cristobal Rios, played by Santiago Cabrera and affectionately called “Aramis in Space” by Trek fans who also happen to be Muskie fans.

Aramis is left with no choice but to pray for fair winds and hope that she can rescue Anne before the unthinkable happens.

I don't really have any favorite motifs. Favorite headcanon: Porthos and Aramis go back further than we know. Aramis' mother was a prostitute whose brothel was somewhere in the Court of Miracles. Favorite Pairing: Annamis, Porthannamis, Constagnan, Sylvathos Favorite AU: I really don't have any that work well for this fandom, but in general: Soulmark AU, Royalty AU.

A Soulmark AU with Porthannamis! I'd love to write a Royalty AU with Aramis as a prince who takes Anne from Louis! or a Soulmark Annamis AU Favorite Line: He remembers the very first time they made love and how afraid she was then, but now all of that is gone and all they have is each other.
