#Poor Dick he has no idea what he has done by letting an atomic bomb go off like that on the coast. Poor poor lad indeed.

Hmm, from what I have seen from the Batman Golden Age Omnibuses @violentdick. It appears to only have Detective comics, Batman comics and World’s finest comics in the collection. Although, I could be wrong as I haven’t been able to check out volumes 7,8,9 and 10 but from volumes 1 to 6 no there were no star strangled comics to be found within them sadly.
Oh that’s interesting premise idea for No Man’s Land. Also, man I feel so lucky to live in a country where earthquakes don’t happen then again we have had flooding in the past from what my grandad told me. It used to get so bad it would reach the town and to the houses way further back in the town that’s where we live. Luckily where my grandparents live it only got onto their driveway mostly but still crazy.
He ha you’re right about governments I have yet to see them actually give a damn most of the time. They only see to care when it starts to affect them. Then they start pretending to care about the people but that’s capitalism for ya.
Also, if you’re on a quest in search of Star strangled comics they were put into a collection in 2010s in The Robin Archives books volume 1 and 2 sadly no volume 3 though. Because if volume 3 was made, we would have practically the whole set of the Robin star strangled comics in one collection. Such a shame really.
Here’s some pictures of panels from some of the later star strangled comic book stories. That I’d took photos of from my own copy of The Robin Archives volume 2. I currently do not have Volume 1 but I do plan get a copy when I am able to. But I do think these comics are really neat overall. :3c
Star Spangled Comics #69 (1947) - The Stolen Atom Bomb
In which Robin helps track down a stolen atom bomb, nearly drowns and is inadvertantly involved in the detonation of said atom bomb not far offshore of Gotham City leading to the creation of a radioactive island.
You know, they could probably have explained a LOT of the weird shit that happened in Gotham after 1947 with "Oh, it's because of the sodding great radioactive landmass just off the coast that is all Robin's fault. He thinks we named it for him, actually we BLAMED him for it."
#reblog#batman#dick grayson robin#Star strangled comics#Good old crazy fun yet wanky Golden Age comic books.#golden age comics#The Robin Archives#This story is so wanky like an atom bomb blows by the coast and Robin is named after an island that somehow appears after the explosion.#It’s just such a bizarre comic and I doubt the writers at the time thought or knew back then how toxic and deadly radiation poisoning was.#Maybe the writers did know about it but who knows at the end of the day.#Poor Dick he has no idea what he has done by letting an atomic bomb go off like that on the coast. Poor poor lad indeed.
