Okay going to be slightly open about myself for once which I’m not particularly fond of but ehh

I’m actually so emotional about this even though it probably seems kinda stupid but it genuinely means so much to me as someone who grew up watching constantly rewatching doctor who as an of escape mechanism due to being constantly bullied and treated as other as a child mainly due to having polydactyly

And now finding out that the man who helped make my childhood less of a living hell not only has decided to be open and confident about his own condition when he honestly didn’t have to and he’s also helping normalise it?? genuinely amazing omg

Also it’s also pretty cool because mine is actually the same type as his but on the left foot as its also a “little nubbin” on my pinkie toe

i used to have 3 cats when i was a kid

one was a solid dilute tortie (female) the second i think was a black tabby but could have been a subtle tortie (female) and the third was red (male)

the seller said they were all from the same litter is that actually possible? and what would the genetics of all that be?

Yes, this is an entirely possible litter! The parents both need to carry solid and dilute but at least one of them has to be tabby and dense (not necessarily the same parent), and the mother must be tortie or red (if she's red, then the father is black and daughter #2 is a torbie).

Polydactyly is a dominant trait (although non-expressed latents exist), so this means one of their parents way polydactyl, too.

Doodle I did in my current journal of a drawing originally by someone else (couldn't reverse search the darn thing, stupid Pinterest), but with me cause ya know sometimes we need validity from fictional characters we trust more than our own parents lol (I could come out to Ford but never my mother haha). Ignore my wobbly lines I love this kind of linework but my consistent shaking doesn't help with it at all.

Fun fact I actually have clinodactyl (definition: having a digit naturally bent at 10 degrees or more)--both my pinkies are bent inwards. Annoying at times, and I used to get self-conscious of it, but after Gravity Falls I ended up loving my little quirk. Of course it's not nearly the same as having whole-ash extra fingers (especially cause it's not really noticeable unless you're really looking), but still, it's nice to have a character like Ford to say that it's alright to be born different (especially cause I also headcanon him as autistic lol).
