Did some cleaning today and found this pic I did ages ago.
Did a Wedlocke a few years ago and these guys were tied together. Gratin the Watchog was paired with Nikujaga the Darmanitan; when he passed in battle, she gained Chogin the Scraggy/Scrafty as a partner. They were all good Pokemon.

Oh yeah, I'm doing a rainbow wedlocke,
Lgtv and barda are our first couple, LG is an pignite now and barda is a leavanny
Our first mlm couple is beep and ouchy
Our first wlw is pinky and pinwheel (I consider the two sections of r.20 separate)
And then we have shite the onix and rat the rattata as our second straight couple, and batty and orb as our second mlm couple.
We've beat cheren and are on the road to elesa

it's not even Just stolen it's ai generated content farm ip violation STOLEN stolen (re palworld)
I thought the deal was that they used ai generated content in previous games but not palworld specifically? in any case yeah I feel like I'm going crazy seeing people go to bat for a game whose developers are infamous for releasing an early access ripoff of whatever's popular at the time and then promptly abandoning it as soon as it's no longer profitable
like "Craftopia"
their whole deal is that they take a popular game, shift it a little to the left so they don't immediately get sued to death, load it up with a bunch of unrelated mechanics to make it seem like there are things to do but do it badly so people complain about the same glitch for 3 years, and then they see a shiny new opportunity to make money and move on.
I feel like they'll stick to palworld a little longer because it's pretty successful at the moment but have you seen the screenshots from their upcoming game "Never Grave"?
hmmm I wonder what it is they're trying to profit off of here.....
I truly feel like I fell into a wormhole because there's no way people are genuinely falling for this. I can't believe I'm saying it but at this point just play ARK. put a turret saddle on an andrewsarchus. because palworld is like the bastard child that ark and pokemon had out of wedlock and kept secret for years while it lived in the mountains being raised by botw. and it turned out all sad and fucked up

When I saw this video drop in my recommended, I knew it was going to disappoint me as someone who has done personal nuzlocke runs before, used to be an active member of the forums, and even still is friends with people from there. And I was right. Look under the read more for my gripes.
To start off, he makes a rather big mistake by stating that the original Ruby Hard Mode run ended in a win, when it definitely did not, and was the basis for the Ruby character going to Kanto to start the FireRed Hard Mode run. That one isn’t one I think is too bad compared to the others, but it’s still something you could easily research on your own.
He’s also a little wrong about ShiroInu being the earliest person to post a nuzlocke comic on the forums, but I can also forgive him for that. In general, he spends only a small portion of the video on the Nuzlocke Forums before branching out to videos, and I feel that was a misstep. For one, he completely glossed over screenshot runs, which were just as important as comics and written logs in the formation of Nuzlocking’s early years. A lot of people at the time couldn’t afford recording set ups for let’s plays, and screenshotting on VBA was as easy as pie, making Nuzlockes accessible to most people especially those that didn’t want to draw.
I also think it’s a bit peculiar that Kynim wasn’t mentioned at all, when he discussed Nuzlocke comics. Myths of Unova is probably the most popular Nuzlocke comic outside of the original, especially so for one with actual effort put into the art and narrative. We can go on all day and week about other popular comics too like Petty Nuzlocke Challenge, It’s A Hard Life, FireRed Kick-Ass Mode, Double Nuzlocke Series, etc. That not much time is dedicated to the narrative aspect of Nuzlocking in favor of the more technical and challenge-oriented ones is such a shame especially since a lot of history was made on the now-defunct Smackjeeves website. Like, in the video, fucking Emerald Kaizo got its own section while the forums, comics, etc. don’t even get that much respect. Towards the end of that video it was basically summarizing specific Nuzlocke runs from popular YouTubers/streamers, rather than an overall look.
Moving onto recorded Nuzlockes, it’s really baffling that Marriland wasn’t given an explicit shout out. While he wasn’t one of the first to do a recorded Nuzlocke on YouTube (October 27, 2012), he was one of the first people to upload Let’s Play content on YouTube period, and he was also one of the important figures in Nuzlocking since he invented the Wedlocke challenge. Granted, the Wedlocke was mentioned briefly in a list of variants and his videos were shown in a screenshot of Google, but that’s not enough respect I feel.
Also, I think it’s funny that PokemonChallenges is attributed as the founder of the Hardcore Nuzlocke, that is, a Nuzlocke with the added rules of “no item use in battle” and “no overlevelling against important trainers’ strongest Pokemon.” The video claims Jan invented that in 2016 for his streams, when in fact, people have been using those extra rules well before he did. I also want to note that I don’t really blame Wolfey for this misinformation, since he said in the video that the research was primarily done by pChal and some guy named Drew, which, yeah, makes sense with how biased it is.
No disrespect to Jaiden, even if I don’t find her content entertaining, but I feel she got a lot of undeserved credit in this video too. Like, obviously the thumbnail having her in the “Then” portion is just clickbait, but to go on in the video and say that “the way that [original Nuzlocke comic creator] and Jaiden share their nuzlockes might be what caused Nuzlocking to take off” is plain wrong in the case of the latter. Like, yes, Jaiden’s 87mil+ video definitely brought it out of the general Pokemon fandom, so that people like Alpharad and Ludwig started doing them, but Nuzlocking took off well before she made the video. In fact, Griffin McElroy made a rather popular Nuzlocke video back in 2016 on Polygon’s YouTube channel.
The video also misattributes certain tricks and strategies to that Drew guy’s Renegade Platinum run, saying that it would “define the meta.” Stuff like the repel trick to manipulate encounters, which is not true at all, since the repel trick has been documented on Bulbapedia since 2010, well before that ROM hack.
Overall, I don’t want to gatekeep the Nuzlocke from anyone, but it’s just sad how it has primarily evolved to just adding on challenge after challenge and treating your Pokemon as pawns (i.e. sending them out to die), as well as optimizing the gameplay to reduce the amount of failure such as by hacking in rare candies to save time grinding (when that basically cheeses the periods between important fights and removes the possibility of something bad happening during grinding), and manipulating encounters (esp. in newer games without grass) to your biggest benefit. If you want to play it that way, that’s fine. The storytelling part of Nuzlocking was such a huge boon in how the challenge got popularized, also the concepts of using Pokemon and strategies you’d have never thought to have try before, so it’s disappointing that it gets overlooked especially in a retrospective like this.

So I started a lil randomised Wedlocke last night to tide me over until I could start PMD posting again, and I ended up with the funniest failure I've ever seen.
I picked Azurill as a starter, and it turns out in HGSS it doesn't learn anything before level 5 except for Splash and Charm. So, no attacks. That sucks. Silver beat me, I got Pokeballs, the challenge starts.
My first encounter was a Silcoon.
...That I failed to catch.
I ran out of money for Pokeballs, and I only had a single Pokemon who can't attack.
Yeah, I started over.
Now I've got an Azurill/Starly, and Zigzagoon/Bidoof. WHAT A TEAM.

Challenge Runs Masterpost
All below ↓
Pokemon!
Rules:
Hardcore Nuzlocke rules:
All Pokémon must be nicknamed.
Only one encounter per area may be caught. (I may define some areas differently depending on the game.)
Shiny and duplicate clauses are active. (I use duplicates clause as I can only catch one mon from each evolutionary line.)
Gift/event/static Pokémon count as their own encounters, not contingent on the area.
Set mode is on.
Only held items in battle.
Level caps are in place and will be clarified when relevant.
Megas and Dynamaxing can only be used in battles where opposing trainers use them.
The affection stat is allowed. (I don’t think it detracts from the challenge to use the affection stat, as you have to work quite a bit to get it high without a rainbow bean and I think it fits thematically.)
If a Pokémon faints, it is dead and must be permanently boxed.
A white/black out is game over.
Hardcore Wedlocke rules:
All Hardcore Nuzlocke rules except: set mode is off, as a Pokémon may only switch with their partner. If one partner faints, the other must fight to victory or death.
A mon's partner preference is determined by their first partner.
Genderless mons may partner with anyone and if a mon's first partner is genderless, they may partner with any gender.
Purposeful death of a partner is strictly prohibited.
Partners are selected on a First In, First Out basis. (Automatically boxed mons will get a partner upon being selected for the team.)
Breedable pairs may breed once and obviously their offspring cannot pair with their parent or any other parent Pokemon.
Hardcore Monolocke Rules:
All Hardcore Nuzlocke rules (exception: all available encounters may be caught regardless of route/area)
Pokemon must be of or become the eligible type to be caught and be in used in battle. Switch training is allowed.
Hardcore Trashlocke + Gauntlets:
Any Pokemon that faints is dead and must be permanently boxed.
Only the first VALID encounter may be caught per route/area.
2a. Only one of each species line may be caught.
2b. Shinies may always be caught but may not be used unless it is part of the valid encounter list.
Level caps are in place.
Only held items may be used.
Each route/area/gym is considered a gauntlet wherein all reachable trainers must be fought before leaving the area.
No healing items may be purchased and found healing items must be sold (except found berries).
No gimmicks may be used.
Apocalocke Rules Post
Survival-locke, a Sword/Shield exclusive nuzlocke challenge.
Legends Arceus rules post
Any Pokemon that faints is dead and must be permanently boxed.
Flip for your encounter in each route/area. Heads for overworld encounter and tails for first random/raid encounter.
Set mode is on.
Items may be used in battle as: only items found may be used. Besides food, TR/TMs, and exclusive items (such as incense), no other items may be purchased.
Healing may only be done at the campsite. No Pokemon Centers can be used.
Level caps are in place.
No Dynamaxxing in trainer battles (story reasons?), though grinding may be done in raids and faints in raids do not count as the AI teammates are quite bad.

Vintage Story! (The Only Chances)
This blog will be chronicling my journey through Vintage Story with one life to live. This play style is somewhat influenced by my love for Nuzlockes and other challenge runs. These runs will be 100 percent vanilla and in survival mode. Creative mode, mods, or any "cheating" will never be active.
My goal is to survive one in game year (May, year 0 - May, year 1) without dying, with at least one character and then see how far beyond the one year mark they can get. I will have worlds with one of each class, for a total of 6 worlds/6 characters.
If all the survivors die, obviously I lose the challenge.
Vintage Story! (Run With The Hunted)
Modded and in Wilderness Survival. Must make it a year or more with one life to live.
Project Zomboid!
Just try to survive. More info in the future.

So I decided to do a Pokemon wedlocke but kind of have it as if Tsurugi and Shindou were playing. (As in have the character names after them in game)
So far have four Pokémon and where I show how I have no creativity with nicknames.
(Tsurugi team first picture. Shindou team second picture.)

Well it's all documented on how fates diverge but heres the abridged version.
In February I decided to start a Wedlocke in pokemon White choosing a Snivy I call Prince Nikei or Prince for short.
My current team is Prince Nikei (now a Servine), His current partner DiverDown the ducklette, Bad Apple the Audino, his Partner Sakura the Trubbish ,8-bit the Solosis, and her partner Dexter the recently evolved Krokorok.
And so far I have lost five pokemon. El the Panpour to a random trainer, Cora the Bouldore, Fiddy Sent, and Trixie the Liepard (who was first partnerd with El) all who died due to Elesa's Emolgas, and Prince Nikei's original partner Patty the watchog to the last team plasma grunt in the cold storage.
//Nice.
//To be honest, I care too much about my team members to consider doing a nuzlocke. I've never had the courage.

Does this mean I can officiate my Gallade and Ceruledge’s wedding with their 30+ out of wedlock children and give them a home so they can live as a strong wife and malewife in a little cottage.
I’m so sorry I just thought of them immediately I love them like family and they mean the world to me.
On a completely unrelated note, I think it would be interesting to bring up the future pokemon from pokemon: violet cause it really adds to the point that pokemon were seemed more as tools (robots or what else) than equals. This is the end of my ramble have a great night folks
Reading those stories at a surface level, it makes sense that Pokemon can talk and have human traits/appear human. Specifically because of the canon lore that's already there. For instance: that one kid that became a Abra, or majority if ghost pokemon being dead humans. Also the N Zoroark theory. I think N would be the last of that kind though.
Not to mention that Az is over 3,000 years old so in his time that would be the normal, since he fell in love with Floette before it was drafted into the war. It also makes sense that the war could have changed that perspective. AKA Humans seeing Pokemon as more tools of battle than equals.

So I've been planning on starting another wedlocke. This time, I'm going old school with Pokemon crystal. And to continue the theme of my starter being named after void members, I'll name my starter either Iroha or Maku depending if I get a male or female.
//Heck yeah!! Can’t wait to hear how it goes!!
