It seems Flygon was originally intended to be more similar to a dragonfly. They would be a jungle based creature and Trapinch was an unrelated Pokemon. The small Vibrava-like form would evolve into Vibrava and then Flygon. Regardless, I love you in every universe Flygon.

Smosh Wants To Battle!

As you probably already know, The Pokemon Company suffered a massive leak, and a lot of beta content from Pokemon games has come to light, including a discarded water starter for Gen 3, called ワラビット (Wallabit/Warabitto). In this case, I decided to join in the fun, and make some art of this beta Poke, but accompanied by another discarded rabbit, Max the Rabbit, the beta of Sonic himself :D

Hmm that’s quite an odd distribution, a Tera Type Flying Eevee, on Pokémon Day…

Flying type Eevee… what does that remind me of?

Oh right! The flying type Eeveelution that was cut in Gen 7 because the design was too similar to a Fan Fakémon!

What a strange complete coincidence!

Now obviously, Z-A doesn’t take place in Alola, but Kalos. The last Gen that got a Eeveelution. And, oddly enough, the only Gen with a new Eeveelution without being in a pair since Gen 1, which was its introduction with Pokémon in general.

Hmm… now granted I’m probably just grasping at straws here; but maybe, just maybe, we’re gonna get a new Eeveelution reveal with the Pokémon Day Z-A trailer?

Or maybe it really is just an odd, very odd, coincidence?

Guys, because everyone and their mother is drawing eevelutions we won’t be getting any more because it was revealed Gamefreak goes out of their way not to make any Pokemon that look like fakemon so I suggest everyone stop making fakemon. Seriously I don’t want Gamefreak to run out of ideas because you artists keep taking them. It is because of you fakemon makers that we can’t have nice things.

Edit: since I realized this is the internet and things like tone can get lost in translation, this is very much a “modest proposal” sort of post. I hope I made that more clear
